No alternative flight. We spent an hour waiting on line at their call center (no local numbers, only one Finland number) and got rebooked on a super tight HEL-FRA-LHR-SIN connectiob, which we barely made as the connection times were so short. Plus they messed up the checkin so we got denied boarding in Frankfurt and lost our suitcases. Perfect storm... we will NEVER take this airline again. Totally understaffed and I competent. Fly a major airline and pay a little more to avoid things like this..."

One BA counter agent Alexa tried to help but it is just too late. I expected more from BA."

BA does no subscribe to TSA so spent time in a line unnecessarily. AND, then the crew arrived over an hour late so the flight left at least an hour late. The crew explained that their downtown bus did not arrive and they could not arrange one. Given the close proximity to the airport, this should have been a 10 minute cab ride."

I finally had no recourse but to buy another ticket through another airline. I feel that I should be reimbursed for my Finnair ticket from London to New York! I paid for a flight I never took. Cons: "When I got to Phl I missed my connection to London. No one seemed to care that I needed to be in England by the 18th. They kept retorting me to arrive in England on the 19th. I told them multiple times Id be flexible and go to any city in the UK just for them to get me there on the 18th. The First person I talked to said it was impossible. So I called again and talked to another person and all of a sudden it was possible. The worst part was they sent me to Boston after that I didn't get to Boston until 1:50 am and they did not compensate with hotel or anything while my flight to London was not until 8:00 am the next morning. So I spent the night in the airport. Oh and then when I finally got to London, my bag is lost and they told me I'd have it by tomorrow and I still do not have my bag and have called and they said they can't tell me anything."

Cons: "Plane was incredibly old for a long haul flight, with no power socket and extremely outdated TV's. Seats were dirty and small. We were in row 34 (middle of the plane over the wing) and when they got to us with the food options, they had already run out of the second choice on both occasions. On the first service, we asked the attendant if the food had any fish/seafood ingredients (due to allergies) and she said no. We then read on the lid of the food tray that there was a possibility of fish traces so my husband could not eat it. When we told the attendant about it she told us they didn't have anything else. Hard to believe there was nothing they could do, we've never experienced this issue before. We then asked another flight attendant if there was any food available for purchase but she said no. Luckily, she was able to find a vegetarian dish that my husband could eat. We're grateful that she found this as the next food service was not until 6 hours later. Sad that we had to ask again, we were expecting that they cared a little more. Overall, BA didn't meet our expectations unfortunately. This was a trip to Europe in which we took 4 BA flights and overall, the experience was of that no better than a low cost. Would have a hard time thinking of choosing this airline again."

I personally loved the meals, drinks, and snacks on the flight from London to Las Vegas. It's nice to break up the long hours. Lots of great movies and shows to choose from especially "classics" like Friends and The Truman Show."
Cons: "If there is any way you could please consider taking out a row or two of seats to give everyone just a little more room to breathe and stretch our legs, it would be so appreciated! This makes such a huge difference on our overall mood and feelings of health and well being. We were all so crammed in our seats I could barely move to even reach a book from my bag let alone stretch my legs. Luckily I was sitting next to a very friendly passenger, so it was bareable. But it was a 10 hour flight; that's a long time to sit with moving. There are also tiny corners to stand and stretch our legs but we seemed to be in the airline attendants' way- although they never said anything."

The cabin crew seemed to be on a mission to save food and drink by not asking the passengers if they wanted anything. They juat walked up the aisles and you had to stop them. For a 10.5 hour flight we got one meal, a tiny snack box and one pizza snack thing. The inflight entertainmwnt was dreadful. 5 inch screens. All in all i would not be paying again for an "upgrade" to WT+."

It is stressful traveling with someone who needs help and even worse when there are delays. We were advised that we could leave the aircraft which we did but we were left waiting in an area without any toilets which is a problem for him"

Aer Lingus said that I should have called before 24 hrs before, and that seats were now in control of the gate (this still 22 hrs before flight time). Total lack of coordination. 2. At check-in I was first told that my bag was too big for carry-on, although BA had accepted it. I shrunk it down. Then I was told it weighed too much at 15 kg. When I asked why BA accepted the weight I was told BA's weight limit was different. 3. Net net, if BA is "arranging" the flight through a code-share it should have responsibility for insuring I am treated like a BA customer. Aer Lingus' customer treatment leads much to be desired."

Cons: "I waited 30min at the priority check in queue while being first in line this whole time. There was only one counter open for normal check in and one for priority when I arrived and after 20min waiting, the priority counter closed completely and there was just one counter open remaining, with just 10-15min before the check in closed. We had to wait another 10min to be able to check in our luggage! On arrival, luggage took 45min to just start delivering, completely wiping out the 30min arrival ahead of schedule."

Cons: "On the return flight back from London to Las Vegas, I sat at an economy class aisle exit seat on a 747. The flip up TV set wasn't working. One flight attendant initially offered to move me to a cheaper less desirable seat, which I declined. I asked for at least an exit row seat of any sort. A second (more senior) flight attendant then promised he will either fix the TV (by resetting it) or find an acceptable alternative so I "won't need to go the entire flight with a TV." But he never returned and the TV never worked. I didn't fuss because I slept and read instead, but I thought this was a poor follow up and follow through on his part."

This announcement was in the gate area where everyone had already had to have cleared the Preclearance US Customs. Then when he announced boarding for priority and Business class he "pointedly" told the zones 1 thru 4 to all begin boarding at once (w/ one agent while three agents stood behind chatting) and to only use the one Priority lane. Thirty people all gathered for the very slow process. The Gate Supervisor the says he would start boarding Zones 5 and 6 in the other lane. Zones 5 & 6 all boarded while I (zone 1 passenger) and five others were still in que boarding thru the priority lane. Poor leadership. The Business Class flight attendant while serving snack, spilled my hot tea on my shirt, trousers and iPad. She was very apologetic and said that she wished she had not filled the cup so full. The tea "happens" and was no big deal. The Gate agent on the microphone in Dublin was having a bad morning and transferred his unhappyness to me, which I did not bargain for on the 27th."

Also he plane that we took out of the United States to go to Ireland was very small, and the plane to return us to the states was very small as well. The flight from our connection in phili to go to Charlotte was the biggest plane we had, just for a two hour ride.. really disaipointsd with American Airlines."

The stewardess and j had to run all the way back to security so I could go through the whole process again. I delayed the flight and everyone was upset. It was completely unnecessary. Simply because one employee didn't do their job, I delayed a transatlantic flight to Chicago. Best part, I arrived at the airport four hours before my flight. Also, the seats are incredibly uncomfortable. And I was separated from my traveling companion for this entire process. Had I missed the flight, she would never have known."

And Daryl H, was sitting on my paid chair. A nice passenger offer his help and put the carry on to the bin. I will not book this airline again."

Multiple agents admitted their company is terrible and doesn't care about its customers. The indifference to our situation was surreal. Lesson learned."

A frustrating experience hat could have been made better with just some communication about what was going on."

They made us line up about 45 minutes before we actually boarded. So we were all standing around as opposed to being seated in waiting area. We did not board until after our take-off time. I wasn't allowed to pick my seat on the website so we ended up in a middle row. The person i was traveling with is over 6 ft and could not comfortably fit in the seats. Thankfully no one sat on the end so we were able to spread out between 3 seats. The entire experience made us not want to fly into Portugal again."

I didn't like that when asking for a drink of water, they only give a half full cup of room-temperature water. On an 8 hour flight, I get dehydrated and could drink 2 water bottles alone. I don't like to be a nuisance to the attendants so I only asked for water twice. I just wish they would provide small personal bottles per customer. I also have never flown on TAP before so I wasn't aware of anything like how to call an attendant using the touch-screen or even that watching movies was free. It should be said over the intercom at the beginning of the flight."

Pros: "I had a flight from Madrid --> Lisbon airport with a final connection from Lisbon --> NYC JFK and we were delayed in Madrid therefore arriving at boarding time of our other flight in Lisbon. The crew was so professional and prepared that when we landed in Lisbon there was a bus that brought about 25 of us who were connecting with final destination to JFK to the closest door to go through passport control and board onto our flight to JFK that they held for a good 30-45 minutes until all of us made our connection. Very professional and organized. Much appreciated that I didn't miss my final connection! Love flying TAP and will continue to do so!"

Noise reducing headphones supplier are effective in the noise reduction function, but not high quality audio resolution, with some dialogue intelligible. Business class seat wasn't a full recline as are those of most competitors, but it was comfortable. I didn't see any snack offerings that most other airlines have available between meals."

Being 5 months pregnant, I was uncomfortable the entire flight. The "entertainment" that you have to download an app for didn't work, and particularly stung knowing how much we paid for the flights, and that other airlines simply put a TV on the back of each seat that is easy to connect headphones and view. The food on our previous flight had been so terrible we didn't bother on this trip, but it looked equally awful. My husband was in the aisle seat and the flight attendant repeatedly and without warning hit him with the cart. The flight attendants varied in level of friendliness, but the ones in our row rushed through service, and did not give us the options the other row had (ice in drinks, veggie or meat options). All in all, it was kind of a terrible flight experience."

Once off the plane they only had 2 people working rebooking and 2 working bag issues even though there was plenty employees around. After an incredibly long line, the gate agent was very rude. He barely acknowledged me, wouldn't look at me and just shoved my new ticket at me and said next. I tried to talk to another while waiting an extra 4hrs for my next flight and all she did was shove a business card with numbers and said if I had a problem to call one of those numbers and then rolled her eyes and started talking to her friends again. I saw another couple from my flight being passed around and getting rude treatment as well. Another I talked to said they will never fly Air Canada again. I know it wasn't their fault our flight was late but a little compassion and good customer service goes a long way. I had to spend $15 on dinner that I wouldn't if I had made my flight but they gave another couple from my flight $10 vouchers for food. So inconsistent! I also paid $100 extra on my ticket to sit closer to the front of the plane since I knew I had a short layover (which didn't make a difference) but they just gave the same seat to the girl next to me for the same reason. When I asked for a refund on the seat cost they just blew me off. To sum it up, the flight crew was great and very friendly but all the ground employees were awful and really need to improve on their customer service skills."

Thank god they changed my flight to a later one or I would have missed it. By the time we figured out what flight I was on, I had to sprint to a different terminal because check in was closing in 20 mins. I arrived at the check in kiosk with less than 5 mins to spare. The experience was terrible and customer service from each Kayak, United and Air Canada. I also injured my back while sprinting between terminals wearing a heavy backpacking backpack. Would not book through Kayak again."

The bus we were told to look for was the wrong bus. Of course our luggage didn't make it and that took another hour to register at our destination as every one else on the bus didn't get their luggage either. Bus driver got lost but passengers were able to show him the way. This is the third time in four flights Air Canada has lost our luggage. The worst was the NO ONE ever smiles, we were watching for it, and certainly NO ONE ever says we are sorry you are inconvenienced which would go a long way to make the delays and changes more tolerable."
Cons: "The aircraft was very old, without entertainment. Most of the crew were unenthusiastic. The food was less then average. A very different experience then flying from Toronto to London the week before, so quite disappointing."
Pros: "Good flight overall - the Air Canada Rouge entertainment was not bad, but didn't work on one of our phones and I couldn't get it to work on my tablet (driver wouldn't load - and couldn't check for driver til we got on plane, so that was frustrating). No issues with the other phones and my ipad. Food was good."
Pros: "Entertainment and food were nice. There were two meals, one would have been fine, but both were great."
Cons: "The check in counter in Dublin was horrendous. I was forced to check a luggage that was my carry-on on the outgoing flight so there was no reason it was not going to fit on the upper compartment, but the counter agent forced me to check it anyway, even with it being under weight limit. The line was huge and there were 5 counter agents, but 3, and at times 4 agents, at a time, were only pulling from the priority boarding line. We had to wait more than one hour to check in. Than to the boarding, the same people from the counter were the boarding agents. The boarding was extremely slow and again unorganized."
Cons: "Took off too late and missed next flight"
Cons: "The anxious flight crew. Would like more variety on the player and I shouldn't have to watch a 4 minute commercial after every 20 min episode, especially when it's my own device."

Cons: "Being in the middle seat in the middle row was not very comfortable. The 767 maybe should be used on shorter flights."
Pros: "While I do just like to have my legs fit in the seat, the room makes for a much nicer seven hour flight. The provided iPad setup is good for entertainment and the good is fine."
Cons: "They boarded early while our connecting flight was late. They told us they could not allow us in even though we arrived 1 hour before. Had to purchase all new tickets."

Cons: "We got to the airport 2 and a half hours early, and thank goodness: check in took forever and they obviously didn't have enough staff, and never fixed that. Had to rush through everything else. Crew was unhelpful for those of worried about missing our connecting flights since the plane was late: those on board said they had no way to know and to ask the gate agent when we landed, the gate agent scoffed at us saying they had no way to know. I've been on flights where the crew kindly gave out connection information, so this is lazy on Air Canada's part."
Pros: "Planes were clean, relatively comfortable & flight attendants were polite. Flights that had individual screens on the seatbacks offered good movie choices."
Cons: "Ugh. Delays of 1-2hrs each on 3 of 4 flights for one trip. Missed connecting flight in Toronto. Baggage was a disaster. No communication between staff, was told something different by each person I spoke with. Flew to London & didn't get my bag for 3 days. Flight delays put me in to London a day late, wearing same clothes without access to my bag & lost 4 more hours of site-seeing time following day calling the airline & trying to meet up with courier delivering my bag. Then on my 7hr midday flight back to the states our plane had no screens at all for in flight entertainment. Security and Customs check process was ridiculously long. Waiting in line after line, and the automated kiosks processing passports were fickle delaying lines & leading to further follow up by staff. Very confusing and overheard several passengers talking about missing connecting flights. I highly recommend not flying Air Canada until they become more organized."

Cons: "I downloaded the Air Canada app but the movie selection was not very good. Also, people take way to long to store their carry on luggage."
Cons: "Minutes and minutes of ads on the app that you have to download on your own device. Flight attendants that manage to bump into your arm every single time they walk up the aisle even though you're using the arm-rest. None of the flights left on-time and they lost my luggage. Really got the "bare minimal effort" feeling from the crew."
Pros: "The Dublin Airport has a great security system. Very smooth, easy and helpful staff at every point"
Cons: "We waited on the tarmac for a very long time, causing us to miss our next flight. This is not an Air Canada issue. The system in Toronto required another trip through security, lines and lines and lines. Technology that no one understood - very little guidance from Toronto staff except - "go here". It took almost an hour which caused us to miss our MSP flight. If you have an international flight through this airport leave yourself more than 2 hours. We had a two hour window and didn't make it in time."

My seat was more comfortable on my DC-Montreal flight than my international. Warn customers about the difference between Air Canada and Air Rogue. Big difference."

Cons: "Where to start? How about, the planes are so old and so poorly maintained that our plane was almost three hours late taking off while they fixed something. At least two other flights from Dublin to Toronto took off around us, but we were never offered to be switched over to other planes so we could make our connecting flights. As a result, a plane full of angry people hassled by a serious lack of customer service focus landed in Toronto and had to, AGAIN, get in a huge line to be processed with all of the missed flights. They knew we were coming--WHY weren't there more preparations made for a much smoother transition?? I hate Air Canada and will never again knowingly book that airline. They need to change out the entire fleet of old, crappy, smelly, falling-apart planes."
Cons: "Not everyone travels with a portable computer. Upgrade your fleet to provide free in flight entertainment that you don't have to download an app for. Who wants to watch a movie on their tiny smart-phone screen? I'm not a five-year-old."

Cons: "The flight was fine, but when I got home, I had two charges on my credit card from Air Canada. When I called, the woman didn't know what they could be for, so she told me to email Air Canada flight feedback. I still haven't heard from them."
Pros: "We arrived at our destination safely."
Cons: "Our flight departed from the gate late and then needed to return to the due to a door malfunction. After a 4 hour delay we were on our way. Bathrooms were closed before takeoff but no announcement was made that they would be open during the delay. No beverages were offered during the delay. Not all of the bathrooms were functional during the flight. The entertainment system is available through your iphone, ipad or computer. If you haven't downloaded the app prior to departing you can't use it and you then need to rent an ipad for $10 to watch movies."
Cons: "Being bumped off of our connecting flight home after a long international flight due to overbooking (even though we had checked in all the way through from our departure city). We got split up going home and the $800 voucher that we were promised was decreeased to $400. They also lost our bag due to the changes. The reason we didnt get priority for seats on our connection is because our first flight landed at the last minute and by the time we got to the gate, all but 1 seat were claimed on a furst come first served basis. All staff treated the entire thing as an "oh well tough luck". No empathy because they suck so bad, they're used to seeing angry customers."

Cons: "Flights were all over booked. People were being bumped, flights delayed. We were in the Toronto airport for 8 hours. We missed our connection in Denver. The Air Canada people on Toronto said someone would be waiting to help us get a hotel and a new flight when we reached Denver. In realit, the stewards on the flight just gave us a card with a customer service number, said call this number and they will get you accommodations. So no one was at the gate to meet us and no one ever answered the phone!! We were on hold for 48 minutes. We were stuck in the airport for ten hours, through the night, until another flight could be arranged. We had to find someone on United to get us on a new flight. My daughter and I were at the end of 24 hours of flying and expected that what we were told would be carried out. I was not impressed with the way this was handled and no apology or compensation from Air Canada for the delays and sleeping on the airport floor!!"

And even then, the delivery company contracted by air canada would not bring it to my front door, so I had to leave my building to go meet them. Cons: "Boarding was delayed an hour and half because the plane was having mechanical issues. That caused me to miss our connecting flight. The flight staff was rude and not helpful when I asked a question about my connecting flight. I had a family member who took a day off work and drove three hours from my home to pick me up from the airport. She also had to get a hotel room at her own expense because Air Canada's plane was not up to par. Not only was it an inconvenience to me but to my relative."
Pros: "The crew was friendly but not overly helpful. There was a nice selection of entertainment options."
Cons: "The food was horrible and made me throw up. The flight was freezing and the seats hardly reclined making it very uncomfortable. Especially since we were on the plane an extra 2 hours from a delay. The flight delay caused me to miss my connection flight. And then I wasn't put on the next available one, I had to wait around in the airport for a very long time, 4 hours to fly home. My baggage was lost. And my credit card was charged twice for my checked bag. The customer service employees in the airport refused to help me with either issues. I am extremely unsatisfied with my experience on Air Canada and will never be flying with it again."
Cons: "We were stranded on the plane for 4 hours in Dublin without ever moving, they had to many checked bags and it took them that long to figure it out, there was no food and we had hungry kids, they would not allow us to de plane..... It was very frustrating. We are still in route and plan on arriving at our destination 20 hours late, they have no options available to get us home sooner"

The annoying part was that we were boarded and then were informed there was a maintenance issue, then there was a fire alarm so we ended up sitting in our seats for an hour before the flight finally took off and it was already a 6.5 hour flight so being stuck on there longer was not ideal"
Cons: "Air Canada ROUGE to Dublin was a nightmare. Small seats. Could not hear the announcements. When I asked the staff to repeat the information, I was assured that they would. They did not. Since the flight was late on takeoff and connections were lost this was critical. Overhead latches were not checked prior to landing. One opened during landing. Only because the pilot landed gently, nothing fell on the people in the seats. Entertainment!! nothing. You need to have downloaded an app to use your electronic device or rent an Ipad. More money in their pocket."
Cons: "The flights were booked much too close together to get through Customs in Canada. If we had arrived on time we would have had only 1 hour and a half to make it to our next flight. However, our flight was late leaving Dublin. It was extremely stressful and we had to literally run through the airport to try to get through customs and to our next gate. if that flight hadn't also been delayed, there was no way would have made it"
Pros: "Going it was great. Flew later a night and avoided the lines etc. hated that there was no movie and you had to rent iPads if you wanted to watch a a movie or anything."
Cons: "Coming home was awful. Checked in early and our seats were by the bathroom, which it made impossible to sleep or even rest on a 6 hour flight. The que to go through security was crazy. Again the seat right next to the bathroom was awful. Bumping into by people trying to stand in line, the stewards trying to get through etc. I heard several people say they wouldn't fly Canada Air again."
Pros: "The crew was nice look above. Cramped seating, bad food and no inflight entertainment unless you download their app."

Cons: "The headline says it all. Even though our bags met the carry-on size conditions, we were told we must check them because they were overweight. We've never had them weighed before, including the Air Canada trip to Dublin from the states. "It's ok, they'll be there when you get there." We've been home about 24 hours and they haven't located the bags yet, so no word on when they will be sent to us. Very poor online and phone customer service."
