Pros: "The crew was professional & friendly"
Cons: "Food was terrible honestly, entertainment system didn't work on 1st flight."
Pros: "economy plus seats were nice, great movie selection, especially international movies"
Cons: "crew was not friendly, i had to ask for water many times, usually water person walk the aisle. food was terrible. other carriers food were better"
Pros: "Crew was friendly"
Cons: "Passenger who needed wheelchair assistance it took KLM 50 minutes to get him off plane which delayed our boarding. KLM not prepared to handle passengers with needs"
Pros: "Crew was amazing. They adjusted the seating arrangements so there was an empty seat in every row to give passengers more space. Very thoughtful and much appreciated. They served delicious meals, snacks, and water. They provided headphones, blankets and pillows. They took very good care of us."
Cons: "This return flight was much better than the flight going to Amsterdam. I believe the biggest factor was the type of aircraft. The old 747 just didn't meet expectations. The newer 777 on the way back was much more comfortable, with better amenities."
Pros: "Crew was great and professional."
Cons: "Entertainment controls were outdated and confusing to operate. There were no charging ports."
Pros: "Seat space a bit tight . I should have upgraded to more leg room . Next time!"
Pros: "The crew were amazing and the flight was very smooth."
Cons: "Keep up the good work"
Cons: "Too much light in the cabin because of too many screens on. Should have a separate part of the cabin with screens off allowing one to sleep more easily."
Pros: "And i got it 2 days later. I had to buy a lot of items which were in my suitcase The returning of the suitcase was awfull. In tge end after many phone calls I received it On the 18/12 evening, 2 days after my landing"
Cons: "The floor plan on Aer lingus website for seating was did not match the actual plane iwe were on so the legroom was not as good as what the website illustrated when we boarded."
Cons: "Stobart flight was late and on our boarding passes it said the flight to LA’s gate “closed” at 1:15 when the flight didn’t leave until 3pm. Why would you make people kill themselves to run thru the entire airport and rush thru customs only to stand there and wait at the gate? It makes no sense. It should say a boarding time and not “gate closing time” whatever that meant. Food was served too early. And it wasn’t good. No good food options to purchase."
Cons: "I did not like how early I had to go through US preclearance before my flight...2 hours is ridiculous to have to wait at gate!"
Pros: "Price"
Cons: "Online check in does not work, ever. Late boarding all 4 flights inconvenient access to boarding pass. Was required to stand in line for 30 minutes to get boarding pass for connection instead of getting boarding pass when I left. Also, no kiosk to get it myself. Just about missed my connection do to these delays. No one is in a hurry at this airline"
Cons: "Never happened. Bumped. No notice. 4 hours of no information. British airways /aer. Lingus refused to do anything."
Cons: "Staff was very rude and not accommodating. I asked for water at one point and I was told I could only get tea or coffee. The team lacked a human component. I had been traveling since 8am Milan time without being able to get any food or coffee because I was jumping from plane to plane when I finally had 10 minutes to spare I grabbed a coffee and before even taking a sip I was told I couldn’t bring hot beverages on the plane. I wasn’t given an explanation just that I had to toss it out in a waste basket before even stepping onto the platform. I travel a lot for work and have always been allowed to bring my coffee onboard so this was not only a shock to me but very upsetting because this coffee would have been the only thing I would have in my stomach since dinner the night before, it was already 3pm Dublin time. Highly suggest customer service training for this airline. Another note, your team at baggage claim in Dublin gave us the wrong information about hour Aer Lingus and British Airways work. We were told that since we were switching airlines and even though our bags were tagged to go from Milan to London to Dublin to LA that we were responsible to recheck our luggage in with Aer Lingus. So not only did we have to grab our bags but go through customs and check in lines from departures. Needless to say we were running to our gate but not before someone in checking station telling us that we didn’t have to worry about the bags because they would have made it even though they were on the baggage claim belt in Dublin. It goes without saying, I will never fly with Aer Lingus or recommend it to anyone I know."
Pros: "Surprising good food! Had a chicken mushroom ravioli and it was tasty. The wrap, not so much."
Cons: "Not enough food served, they charged for alcohol on a transatlantic flight! Some of the crew were not the friendliest."
Cons: "Let's see... Refused to check my bag because the flight was "over booked". The plane blew an engine on takeoff and then landed in Shannon, IR (150 miles west of Dublin). Once there, the airline had no idea what to do with us passengers (for 4 hours), eventually deciding to put us on buses back to Dublin. Once back there we were offered stand by flights to London, where we could try to find flights back to the U.S. (again, on stand by). When we finally got on another Aer Lingus flight (3 days later), my wife and I were asked for $80 to check a second bag. When we asked the desk agent to wave the fee because of our 1st flight mishap, we were told "Hey, you lived through it, didn't you?". Avoid this airline"
Pros: "I didn't like anything."
Cons: "The service was really poor. An international flight wee u have to pay for the alcohol, and no cheap either!! The food was mediocre! The plane was outdated. No USB or headphone. Only those offered by the airline and the sky da was awful!! The seats were small and not comfortable! The tv screen wasn't responding to the fingers, had to use the remote!! Everything was not nice at all. The stewardess and steward were not pleasant, it looked like they didn't want to be there or they were bother!! I will never fly again either British or Aer Lingos."
Cons: "Just not enough room in the economy class, especially when the person in front reclines their seat."
Cons: "Despite a 5 hour layover for our connection, one of our checked bags was left in London by British Airlines. Other bags made it. Makes no sense."
Pros: "The air hostesses were first class. Pleasant, efficient and professional."
Cons: "The tv selections. Could have had more variety"
Pros: "The Heathrow terminal, Amazing. Why does everyone in window seats keep all the window shades closed -- throughout the entire flight? It was daylight and beautiful outside. Are they all vampires? Why did my overhead light shine on the seat next to mine? Never mind... the flight was fine. Nothing to shout about, except for what I wrote in the next "What I didn't like" box...."
Cons: "I was assigned a window seat. I asked an agent if I could get an isle seat because I am a little claustrophobic. She said yes, and gave me 24D. Great, but I was annoyed and upset that she did not warn me that it was a front seat, with now place to put my personal bag. The wife of the guy next to me was 10 seats away, so I found an isle seat at the back of the aircraft and moved, so she could be with her husband. It all worked out okay, but the agent should have been more informative and have offered the option of that rear seat. It's not nice to be sneaky."
Cons: "flight was delayed and we never got any information by the pilots or crew to let us know that we were delayed and no information on the new arrival time. Almost lost my connection at LAX"
Pros: "Friendly staff."
Cons: "Plane was late leaving London. Meal choice was again chicken or vegetarian. Not really a choice. Stingy with the wine at dinner."
Pros: "The flight crew was amazing. The entertainment system was great"
Cons: "Landed almost an hour late. Food was HORRIBLE. worst pasta of my life. The crew while kind, we busy chatting in the galley most of the flight. Never came around (besides the initial drink cart and the meal) to offer water or check on passengers. They forced me to close the window while we were flying and I bought a window seat so i could look out. The boarding process was very slow and disembarking took ages. Problems with loading the baggage led to an issue at baggage claim where they were stuck."
Pros: "Lots of video entertainment options and economy plus was very comfortable."
Cons: "A380 takes a long time to load everyone onto plane and get everyone off the plane as well."
Pros: "The trip was o k and the crew performed well"
Cons: "The connecting time in London was too much"
Pros: "Flight left almost on time and arrived on time. Crew was friendly."
Cons: "Wasn't able to select a seat ahead of time like with other airlines. Seat rows way too tight (even for a normal 130 lb person like me). No good movie options, very limited selection. Food pretty bad, but that's almost expected this day and age."
Pros: "The crew was fantastic and plane was clean"
Cons: "My entertainment video player had a bad earphone jack so i could not watch movies or tv and resorted to paying for wifi"
Cons: "I've tried to respond twice now with a long detailed answer only to get booted out of the page. In short you and Flyus.com are criminals that ripped me off for over 430 dollars U.S. will never use you again"
Pros: "The crew was probably the only positive thing of the flight."
Cons: "Late boarding because of downsizing plane and overbooking, than sitting on a plane for an additional hour after boarding completed while it was very hot inside. Departed and landed with a delay. Very old airplane with no individual fans above the seats, no outlets to charge devices and no entertainment system."
Pros: "We arrived safely The seats were comfortable We were on time"
Cons: "1) American's boarding process seems to be driven by ticket price and nothing else. Every other airline I've been with boards families with small children first. It lets those families and get on board and get setup so that they don't block aisle access for everyone else. American seems to board based on how expensive your ticket was. So, the aisles get blocked and boarding takes forever. 2) The cabin crew gave pretty apathetic service. When our baby threw up on us, they just told us to go clean ourselves up in the bathrooms. They gave us a can of soda water to help clean up, but that was about it. 3) When my wife asked if the bread was dairy free (for our baby with a dairy allergy), the staff's response was to turn to another staff member and ask them, "Do you want to go back and research that?" In the end they just told us they didn't have time to look it up."
Cons: "We are letting too many people with the flu, travel. This in turn is spreading it to other places and getting too many people sick. We need to control this more. I don’t have an option after spending all this money on if I can stay healthy or not, and that is not ok."
Pros: "Plane was new and entertainment was free. Great service too."
Cons: "American has improved a lot"
Pros: "We missed this flight."
Cons: "Background info: we flew from Dublin to Toronto (Aer Lingus) and we were supposed to fly Toronto to Los Angeles on American Airlines; however, we had a British Airways flight number for both of these flights. We missed our connecting flight in Toronto with American Airlines (we had a 2 hour layover) despite landing on-time (de-boarded a few minutes late). I suggest avoiding the Toronto airport ALWAYS as every passenger must pick up his/her luggage even if you have a connecting flight, and then re-check the baggage with the next flight. Apparently the baggage handlers were on strike and some of the customs agents as well which added to the delays. Well, after going through Canadian customs and picking up our luggage (which took quite awhile) we arrived at the American Airlines ticketing kiosk about 45 minutes before our flight. The computer told us we were too late for this flight and to see a representative. We proceeded to wait in line for an American Airlines representative only to be told this was Aer Lingus' fault (we had just flown with them); even though we had a BA flight number.. After searching for an Aer Lingus representative we were finally told they were probably all on the Aer Lingus flight that was currently about to leave. An Aer Lingus representative was paged to the ticketing counter (took well over 30 minutes for anyone to show up) and what proceeded was an argument (for well over an hour) between British Airways and Aer Lingus representatives about whose responsibility it was to re-book us. After an hour at least of poor customer service, we were finally rebooked by British Airways on the last flight to LAX (on Air Canada). Moral of the story: avoid Toronto and fly direct."
Pros: "Boarding was fast!"
Cons: "The staff was not great! When I had just arrived to the gate, they had already called group 5 so I went up and presented my boarding pass and the crew made a facial expression of annoyance since group 5 was called and they were boarding group 7. When I entered the plane, one of the staff just looked at me twice without saying hello back. I said it twice and the same lady gave me a cold goodbye when I was leaving the plane. There was no entertainment!!!! Also, no plug to charge my phone that I had to wait to charge my phone after getting my bags to contact a taxi driver (Lyft)."
Pros: "The flight was good crew members was nice and professional."
Pros: "We did eventually reach our destination safe and sound"
Cons: "In flight service on AA was very disappointing. This was a cross-country flight of 5 hours at the dinner hour. The plane was full [ as usual these days ] seat space was tight [ as usual these days ], but cabin service was practically invisible. The two stewards made one pass with the beverage cart, and that was it for the duration!! On a five hour flight!! When I went back for a beverage, the stewards were chatting at the rear compartment. This was the poorest American Airlines service that I have experienced in fifty years. I will avoid them in the future. Don"
Pros: "Very organized"
Cons: "No issues, I found value for the amount I paid for my flight"
Cons: "Service for people not able to sleep on the long haul"
Cons: "Can’t charge devices. Have to pay for watching movies. Pay for suitcase!"
Pros: "Short flight, nothing to do with airline"
Cons: "Boarding was annoying and employees were rude. Had just gotten off of a connecting United flight and one of the employees barked at me that my carry on was too big and I had to close extra zipper even though I had no issues in the United flight I had just gotten off of......... I was starving and didn’t get a chance to grab food due to short layover time. We took a while to take off. We’re supposed to leave at 4:15 and left closer to 5pm. Then when we were on the air, flight attendants took a while to provide the snacks and water and they didn’t even get around to our row before they had to sit down for touch down. Smh. Terrible and thoughtless. Seats were uncomfortable and very little leg space. Entertainment only works if you’re able to download their app and of course no free WiFi because airlines want to force you to spend more money after you’ve spent a large amount to fly to your destination."
Pros: "Flight was on time. Everything went smooth for being in coach."
Cons: "One member of the crew was rude, advise if you dislike your job quit and find another!"
Pros: "The flight was delayed, but once I got on I had a great flight!"
Cons: "It would have been helpful if hanging a garment bag were available, which was the case on my return flights to DC on American Airlines."
Pros: "It was my first time flying United Airlines and I was satisfied with the service. I would definitely recommend this airline. Everyone was very courteous and available to answer questions."
Cons: "I've never flown with this company before this trip and there's a lot that I learned: 1) Expect cancelled or delayed flights 2) Do not expect any form of compensation for lost time (unless you are aggressive and demand it, but I'm not good at being mean) 3) Do not expect friendly costumer service 4) Flight >5 hours, only expect 1 drink 5) Do not expect your Gate listed on your ticket to be correct. Always check the airport TVs, since they don't announce gate changes at your terminal. 6) You will have plenty of miserable stories to share with your fellow miserable airplane companions. 7) Just don't do it. Save yourself travel stress and go with another airline. 8) I'm not kidding... I was stranded in an airport for 11.5 hours, and lost 1 full day of my vacation due to 2 cancellations."
