The new Airbus A231neo has neat tech but the economy seats are so tight together that I always had my shoulders against one passenger or the other. I was very miffed that Basic Economy REQUIRES check-in of bags other than your personal carry-on; if you want to offer low-cost airline prices and then add services for a fee, just let me carry on my duffel. Hell, I could have put my carry on IN the duffel and called it a day but the gate agent would not let me; I ended up paying $40 for the risk of losing my bag. Not the worst flight, but far from the best.
My flight was delayed by a whole day, so I lost a day of my vacation.
It is a modern tragedy that any airline expects you to travel for 14 hours in such discomfort and that the only way to add comfort is exorbitant prices. I was in pain by the time we landed. Shameful.
After the morning frenzy of 35 min wait through CLT security at 4;30 AM, it was nice to have a smooth pleasant boarding experience. This 6:30 AM flight was not full. We were able to get seated swiftly and took off promptly. Nice touch they distributed the old fashioned headsets with 8 mm jacks. Snacks were decent and arrival was uneventful.
I had a great flight. Everything went smoothly and the flight arrived early.
The flight and boarding were easy peasy. I was traveling with my 4-year-old, so a smooth boarding experience was especially appreciated. My only piece of feedback is really about where our gate was in O'Hare. They've shoved four gates into a tiny corner of the B terminal and there isn't early enough room or seating for everyone. Not United's problem, but did dent the overall experience.
It was good! Appreciated that it was very on schedule so it made the connecting flight less stressful
I was told we'd have a hot breakfast option in first class, so I chose not get a hot breakfast. It was a very strange meal, but the fresh fruit was very good quality. Service was excellent from ORD to ELP. No service from MBS to ORD, not even water. However, when flying American from FNT to ORD, which is a shorter flight, they at least pass out snacks and offer water.
We were delayed an hour leaving Munich (No fault of the crew). They kept us posted on the status so we knew what was going on, but as a result we missed our connection in Chicago and the communication on connecting flights was pretty poor as we disembarked. It was already stressful and some of that could have been reduced by better communications about where to find transfers, etc.
Horrible. Garbage airline. Due to the strike we got a replacement plane/crew. I didn't get my exit row seat I paid for. Food was horrible. Plane was hot and didn't have AC vents.
Great customer service. Frequent updates from the pilot. Smooth flight. Good entertainment. Meal service.
The flight got us safely from point a to point b and on time. For a transatlantic flight that isnt nothing. Flight crew was kind and professional. The seats are super uncomfortable (worse than domestic budget airlines) and the cabin was DIRTY.
Great service on the plane and by ground staff. great prices. I was able to change seats on the plane. The allocated seats cannot be changed when checkin in online. They have to be done at the airport if you check in at the airport or on the plane by asking a stewardess / steward.
Plane could have been cleaner. There were many crumbs and crud around the seat mounts.
I loved how they arrange boarding (starting with people seated in back and moving to the front). Flight crew was very polite and welcoming. Seating was ok, I felt like there was enough leg space however it is noticeable when the passenger in front of you sets their seat back.
Short flight so not much to rate. Surprised I had to pay for a soda.
the room on the plane was good but that is because flight not sold the other three seat and I had room. the food in terrible.
First the price I paid was excellent, my flight was full, but my seat was roomy. The one downside to the experience was they had games on the entertainment console. The guy behind me poked at my head about half the flight. I hope they get rid of this feature.

Horrible. I was placed on standby for no reason and they would no allow me to fix the seating into the gate. Plane was hot. Entertainment was abysmal. Seats only take old USB or even older jack plugs — not lightening plugs like all modern phones. Food is pay as you go and awful. Seats were small and uncomfortable. I do not recommend Iceland air.
If you are looking for the bare bones in an airline - this will do. The boarding process in Newark and Iceland was so disorganized, I thought there was some sort of emergency. No - this is what they do every time. After a full plane was ready to board in Newark, Icelandic Air insisted that everyone have a paper ticket in hand. Mass chaos ensued as dozens of passengers then had to line up in a different queue. On the 5-hour flight, two tiny glasses of water were dispensed. Yes - I could have ordered food, but not even a pretzel was given for free. In Iceland, a full plane of people waited over twenty minutes in a cattle shoot hallway while the plane was readied. Why were we lined up so early? Kids were screaming and some older adults could not stand for that length of time and also hold luggage. Flight was pleasant with the same two glasses of water -one in a tiny paper cup. Movie selection decent but headphones will cost you $5.00. What airline does that? Charge me five dollars more and give them out to passengers. Shame on you for being so cheap!
So Iceland Air is one step above Spirit Airlines. They do not feed you unless you pay for it or are in Saga Class. So, bring your food. They have a drink service, but it's in a large Dixie cup. Ask for the can, that is the only way you'll get a real drink. Also, we missed our connecting flight so they put us up in a flea-bag motel. Don't get me wrong, the staff was nice and friendly, however, there was no shower gel or shampoo in the hotel. We have to go to the corner store to pick some up. The room was not in great shape. Holes in the bathroom, a badly repaired ceiling in the room. The window was warn out. So, you get the just of how bad it was.
Food and staff were excellent. Seats on Saga (business class) are comparable to domestic first class of US Airlines, regarding space and recline. Entertainment options had little international component.

There is no food without paying $. Only soft drinks are included in your fare.
Some drinks and basic snack will be good. Water should be served at least once an hour. Blankets for folks who might be cold.

The airplane did not offer standard outlets so I was unable to work on my laptop. This is totally unacceptable for an international flight.
No complains with the crew. But generally speaking food is awful, entertainment is not good either.
The flight was delayed more than 1.5 hours. Phone calls to united did not satisfy our need to get to Chicago to met family for fight to europe. I was told the flight was booked thru luftansa and united could not make adjustments. When call luftansa they were unaware of the significant delay on the united flight out of mci. They would not authorize a flight change. We went to the airport, as if we would be flying as scheduled, United checked us in, as if our flight would leave as scheduled. We took our bag to be checked to the baggage drop and the agent their confirmed our flight was significantly delayed. She worked for 30 min to get us on another flight. We ended up flying to Denver then to Munich. The rest of the family that flew to Chicago for our meet up and flight to Europe ended up flying to Munich alone. We meet up in Munich for our last leg to luxembourg. In luxembourg we learned on bag was scheduled on our delayed flight. The flight was canceled and we did not receive the bag in lux. We filed a lost back claim. Now 3 days later we STILL do not have the bag. It is apparently in luxembourg and they maybe tried to deliver, however the names on the door of the air b&b do not match the name on the baggage claim so the French speaking delivery person called no one could understand him so he took the bag and left. My brother, traveling with me under a different reservation , has been without essentials for 3 days. One or all of us has stayed "home" each day waiting on the bag. Today was my turn. Delivery window was 10:30 to 2:30. No attempt to knock or ring bell. After the hang up call, my brother called me and told me to check the door. There was nothing there. No sign of attempted delivery, no delivery man, nothing. Being unable to change clothes and having family members take turns waiting on a bag that never comes has ruined this family vacation. my flight was at 3:45 after that they delayed to 4:40 I have transit from Chicago to Frankfurt and Frankfurt to vina airport from vina to Erbil buy the Time I come to Frankfort my other flight left me I have to stay at airport all day with my 5 kids ask for help no one help me I spent at airport almost $450 just for food was horrible flight ever I call and ask for hotel from united customer service they been telling me we can’t provide any hotel I need some refund or fixed my flight when I return to America need some one respond my email
The crew member put her luggage and boxes behind my seat so I was able to recline while the passenger in front of me did for 8 hours. My knees were forced against the seat for hours :(. Dude sitting next to me hasn't showered in weeks so I almost threw up.
I always try to book flights that don’t charge for baggage. Yet I was charged $75 for this flight.
Entertainment was good. Food was OK. Cab crew was great.
Overall flight experience was good. Unfortunately our process getting to our flight was a hit or miss. Our flight was delayed perhaps for the best as getting from terminal to terminal is very long and security had problems with the machines that delayed us getting to our flight. Heathrow security could care-less that you have a flight you are about to miss!
Access to movies was nice, food not bad, and landing was smooth. Cramming us in like sardines is not fun. A little more space to bend down to get a bag or not touch my neighbors arm because we’re so close would be better for a 9 hour flight. Whomever designed the seating and you, who bought these planes, clearly are NOT interested in customers’ comfort. So stop pretending you do. Also, if you want traveler’s to check their bags so there is space to store carry one, don’t charge so much to check baggage. Seriously?!
Horrible. Crew is not helpful. Lounge is sub standard and overcrowded. Getting to your plane is underwhelming “via a bus”. Worst experience I have had.
I had to wait for 10 hours at the airport and no hotel accommodation was provided. That sucks big time.
They can't seem to deliver a delayed bag in less than a week. Is this the 19th century?

The seats are comfortable enough, but the layout in business is wacky. The boarding process is disorganized. The flight attendants are friendly enough, but the food and snacks are sub par.
Crew was great. Food definitely top 10% for airline food. Seat was comfortable and legroom was good, BUT the seats were too close together and I was touching arms with the guy next to me the entire flight. Also, I had an aisle seat, and although my arm was pulled right up to my side, I was bumped by passengers and crew at least 6x. I'm looking into business class next time. One last note: the whole British-AA airlines partnership thing was confusing. In 2024 this should be seamless, and passengers shouldn't need this # for BA and that # for AA. There should be a single unified way of messaging from the airlines and checking things for the passengers.
