Pros: "Business class lay flat seats allow sleep. Staff tries to pamper you with good service. Smooth long flight 10hrs40min and flight left 30 min late and still arrived early 40 min."
Cons: "Online checkin requires passport check at airport so you try but cannot print boarding pass. Online would not let me order gluten free vegetarian meal for daughter, but staff at terminal said oh it is too late now, you need 24 hrs notice... on flight though they figured it out and brought her foods she could eat so it worked out ok."
Pros: "The crew was great and food very good"
Cons: "The purchase through a third party vendor on Kayak was a disaster. disclosure was not given about class of service purchased and limitations of that class of service. I spent so much on luggage costs and change fees I could have purchased first class. I will never book through Kayak again - will always go straight to the airline for purchase. This was a disaster."
Pros: "Crew was great and movie selection was good. And the food was also good"
Cons: "It was all good!"
Cons: "Lost my luggage"
Pros: "Crew was very nice and no surprises while boarding at the gate"
Cons: "You had to pay for snacks or water"
Pros: "Efficient crew on board"
Cons: "Long lines, late plane, could have started with two ticket people instead of one since plane was already late. Friendly crew though"
Cons: "Could have been on time - 40 minutes late"
Pros: "Very good crew. Friendly. Smiling. Helpful. Short flight. 50 min."
Cons: "Could you refund me 50.00 as your price included bag price but when directed to book I had to add on bags for a further 50.00 and because of this they wouldn’t let me get on an earlier flight on my return firstname.lastname@example.org or 07799411994 for response"
Pros: "Fruebdjf, courteous and good food."
Pros: "The customer agents were helpful and just great"
Cons: "That out of 4 agents and the manager one simple agent wasn’t as nice"
Pros: "flight was great, safety video and pilots were great. 8/10 would recommend. Was great for the price. Attendants were great."
Cons: "No free beverage or food even on international flight. In the exit seats, there are major pros and cons. The exit row has amazing leg room, but you can’t use your tv screen like other passengers (can’t listen to movies because there is no aux plug and no usb to charge your phone like other passengers)"
Pros: "Polite crew"
Cons: "Waiting for an hour to disembark"
Pros: "The staff was nice"
Cons: "You've got to pay for a can of ginger ale now? When did British Airways become a budget airline? What a joke. The plain is an old outfitting with flip down screens and whatnot. It's not like we need these things for shorter fights, but why would anyone pay more to fly a nicer airline if you're treated like you're on Ryan Air?"
Pros: "Great flight"
Pros: "Crew was helpful and kind"
Cons: "Charge you for even instant coffee, the alla cart way of doing things is taking over the industry. all about making more money"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 30 mins to Dublin and flight was delayed 1 hour back to London. No free meals provided"
Pros: "Gate agents good. Same with cabin crew"
Cons: "No AC charging. Legroom in business was tight"
Pros: "I appreciated the brand new seats on the aircraft which were quite comfortable, and the friendly crew who actually were nice enough to have a conversation with. Enjoyed the Marks and Spencer’s food too."
Cons: "The boarding at Dublin airport was not great, masses of crowds from every displaced flight due to snow (not all British Airways, many other airlines adding to the crowd). Was not awful but not fun."
Pros: "Short smooth flight with unexpected food and drink service"
Pros: "Great service as always"
Cons: "The only complaint I have is our bags getting lost twice. I’m very understanding that these things happen. But for it to happen twice seems like people might be careless to the problem."
Pros: "Nice flight personnel."
Cons: "Not even free water on the plane for an international flight! Can it get any more basic!?"
Pros: "Finally getting to my destination 3 hours late."
Cons: "Issues with check-in, flight delayed multiple times, gate changes multiple times, non communication from attendants."
Cons: "Small plane"
Cons: "The change of seats with the motove of keeping balance on the plane"
Cons: "I am 6'3" and I cannot find sufficient leg room. The answer is paying additional for seats with extra leg room, is no answer at all. The answer is quit jamming more seats in to a ever shrinking cabin."
Pros: "This was a BA codeshare but operated by AerLingus, supposedly a 4* airline."
Cons: "So called 4*"
Pros: "Quick flight"
Cons: "No complementary drink or snack on flight and no entertainment system available...they said it was because of a short flight. You could buy drinks though of course....."
Pros: "All staff were very helpful and polite"
Cons: "This flight was delayed. When it came to boarding my husband who needs special assistance was first taken to board first but then had to be brought back as refuelling was not done and was then last on board. When we arrived at Heathrow his special assistance was not there and we had to wait for about 10/15 minutes. It is stressful traveling with someone who needs help and even worse when there are delays. We were advised that we could leave the aircraft which we did but we were left waiting in an area without any toilets which is a problem for him"
Pros: "Good to have movies to pass time on lng flight."
Cons: "2 days prior to returnflight I called stating the at was not enough time to catch a flight transfer having to go thru tsa again . B A assurred me I was o.k. ..It was not. A person should not have to physically run and have stress of wait to get thru TSA then run again back, get on train to next plane.Other passengers then said "ou are why we are starting late". It was a transfer off a plane from Ireland not a traffic issue. BA SHOULD HAVE PUT ME ON A LATER FLIGHT. TO SEATTLE."
Cons: "No wifi. No tvs. 1985 just called and they want their no entertainment airplane back. This is 2017.... get with the program!"
Pros: "The snack provided onboard was tasty. The flight attendants took their job seriously."
Cons: "Southwest Airlines style seating with a foldable tray table over a middle seat. Sold as a business class cabin at a high price for an hour and a half flight but we left feeling ripped off. No boarding order and overall chaos boarding. I feel that for the price and being advertised as business class I was taken for a ride so to speak, and not in a good way. This would not qualify as business class on any other airline irregardless of how short the leg was."
Cons: "Both legs were late. Outgoing was significantly late. Surprise charge of 75 euros to check a bag. Almost as much as a seat."
Pros: "Attendance were friendly and helpful and courteous. The plane was clean and we arrived ahead of schedule."
Cons: "No food, and no entertainment. An older airplane"
Pros: "Replacement flight was fine"
Cons: "Flight was cancelled and I was not automatically re-booked, luggage lost and not delivered despite repeated effort to reclaim it. Aer Lingus hold time on the phone was over an hour and attendants were unhelpful (said my flight wasn't cancelled in their system even though I received an email that it was - which ended up being true)"
Pros: "Comfortable seating"
Cons: "No beverage service."
Cons: "The metal boxes below the seats mean that the little space allowed to a person is now all the more clipped. My backpack wouldn't even fit under the seat. My knees are already pressed up against the chair in front of me, now there's nowhere for me to stuff my feet even."
Pros: "British Airways offered me a direct flight from Dublin to Philadelphia on their sister carrier American Airlines."
Pros: "The food was surprisingly good"
Cons: "This was an old plane with the cvs in the ceiling and only every 8 or so seats so the entertainment was difficult to see and much needed during a 7 hour flight."
Pros: "British Airways certainly has slipped. Very mediocre service."
Cons: "Didn't tell us if/when we would be eating. I called for a flat attendant twice, with no response. When I pointed this out, she said that she knew they would be coming through the cabin with drinks, so she didn't bother to respond. Just so long as it was easy for her..."
Pros: "swift boarding allowed for an earlier departure and arrival 30min ahead of scheduled time"
Cons: "I waited 30min at the priority check in queue while being first in line this whole time. There was only one counter open for normal check in and one for priority when I arrived and after 20min waiting, the priority counter closed completely and there was just one counter open remaining, with just 10-15min before the check in closed. We had to wait another 10min to be able to check in our luggage! On arrival, luggage took 45min to just start delivering, completely wiping out the 30min arrival ahead of schedule."
Cons: "The sign said it would board by rows but they did general call and it was ridiculous on a flight this large. Nothing"
Cons: "This was a connecting flight for us and was delayed causing us to miss our flight home from London to Los Angeles. There were no flights back to Los Angeles until the following morning (18 hours later). We had to stay in a hotel near the airport in the meantime. My boyfriend and I were forced to miss work an additional day causing stress and inconvenience to our lives."
Pros: "Staff was cheerful"
Pros: "Everything was fine."
Cons: "Small seats."
Pros: "The boarding process was better than I expected in such a large plane. There were multiple lanes open to check in at the gate."
Cons: "The crew were not very attentive or polite when asked a question or for help. Then tended to go up and down the aisle with their carts with out stopping or offering anything and if someone asked them for a drink or something they would tell the, they would have to come back. The food on this trip was terrible and not well planned out. They ran out of the meat option for dinner before they were even halfway through the plane. At least 100 people had no food option. What was left was something with a cheese sauce cooked into it so it stunk with the foil was peeled back. I would have preferred the traditional peanut package to that."
Cons: "they lost all our luggage"
Cons: "Delayed. Confusion over gates."
Pros: "The ground crew was very helpful before boarding."
Cons: "Delayed announcement could be done a little earlier before boarding time, not after it was past the boarding time."
Pros: "Seat was all sticky and I had to clean it"
Pros: "Price and efficiency"
Cons: "Well it is a low cost airline, you get what you pay for"
Pros: "Seat not too cramped. We didn't get lost - as BA flight did recently!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed! Info re delay was limited."
Cons: "Late takeoff - late arrival"
Cons: "have to pay 55 euro’s for checkin .... crew very rude at the desk"
Pros: "I liked that I didn't feel squashed and this is about it."
Cons: "I disliked the fact that our flight was delayed and we weren't notified about it. I disliked that we got told there was a problem with the engine but they didn't allow us to either get off the plane or change plans we just sat there as they ran test after test. Asking us to sit down for them to see if the engine is working okay. They asked a member of the public who was sat by the wing to keep an ear out for any funny noises. We stayed on the runway for an hour and a half after it was already delayed. Once we set off in fear that the engine might fail again Ryanair didn't even off us a free glass of water to show appreciation for peoples tolerance. It honestly isn't worth the money you save."
Cons: "Flight was cancelled , next flight 2 days later. Only online checking within 24-2hours else 55£ at the airport . Tried to checking online multiple times. Advance checkin online not free , checking at airport 55£ . In Less than 2 Hour before boarding online is not possible anymore. Ryanair counter cannot check you in and you will be sent forth and back to other counters"
Pros: "No frills but got us there safely on time."
Cons: "Had to walk on the Tarmac."
Pros: "Boarding was ahead of schedule, but we waited on the runway for a long time. Checking in via an app is great too."
Cons: "The seats are uncomfortable, the application of the baggage policy is inflexible & difficult, there are no places to put your things and having seating assigned randomly when you travel with someone is ridiculous. I love discount airlines, but being charged for things that would make me happier while not costing the airline a penny is too far. Ryanair gets your initial business with artificially low rates and then nickle-and-dimes you until you pay at least as much as you would by just going with an honest carrier that charges normal prices up front. I am tired of being messed about when there are equivalently priced carriers that aren't such shysters."
Pros: "The price, and that’s it."
Cons: "The airline had hidden regulations that if you are a first time customer will cost you way more than you think. Just be carefull"
Pros: "Loved the speed and efficiency of everything; we arrived from Dublin to Gatwick 25 minutes early. Plenty of opportunity for inflight purchases for such a small flight which was great!"
Cons: "No flight announcement at Dublin airport so missed flight"
Cons: "Very long walk on landing"
Pros: "Staff is young and energetic! Beat crew on trip so fat and we've been on three other planes."
Cons: "Seats are eat too close if you are, tall. The landing was a,3,out of 10."
Cons: "Customer service"
Cons: "Slow, uncomfortable system of mass boarding."
Cons: "Flight was very late.(over 2 hours) Notices not posted timeously No meal tokens offered, or anything else to soften the irritation Boarding and offloading by stairs into the rain - cheapest possible options."
Pros: "Cabin crew is pleasant and professional."
Cons: "Two days in a row the gate operations seemed disorganized. My flight from London to Dublin was over an hour late, and then my return flight from Dublin to London was also an hour late today."
Pros: "Wish the back of the seats in front of me had the pocket to hold things."
Cons: "Tap water offer would be appreciated. Too bad the checked bag price is so high that everyone brings what they can onboard which fills up all the overhead storage. Tickets that are bought together should be seated together if possible and not just randomly assigned."
Pros: "737 800 plane much more comfortableScramble at boarding."
Cons: "Load in numerical order by ordering passengers to line up in that order"
Pros: "i made my flight and saved a lot of money."
Cons: "i was shocked that i had to pay for water."
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Hard seats"
Pros: "Was cheap"
Cons: "Was very late"
Cons: "The customer service agent was horribly rude. When asked her name, because she wasn't wearing a name tag, she said "Oh, you'd like my name? I'll be sure to write it down for you." I never ended up getting her name, but the way she treated me and my fiancé - as two customers that were very much over paying - was inappropriate and unprofessional. Never again will I fly RyanAir."
Cons: "We have never flown Ryan Air before and are not from Europe. We booked or flight one day prior to the flight and were shocked to show up at the airport and pay 90 euro to check in at the airport. This is simply a price gouge. I understand a small, nominal fee for this but not 90 euro! That is asinine. I will purposely avoid Ryan Air in the future as this leaves a bad taste in my mouth."
Cons: "I was told next time I have to be careful with my carry-on because I'd have to pay £50 otherwise. However, my carry-on is TSA approved, it has a lot of pockets so it may appear to be a bit bigger but I don't overstuff and I've had no issue getting my bag into the overhead bin. Granted, the officer was kind when she said it, but I also measured my bag and weighed it before my flight and I shouldn't feel there should be an issue with my bag. On my return flight I had souvenirs in my bag (meaning more in my SAME bag) and no one said a word about my carry-on."
Pros: "The price"
Cons: "It was uncomfortable It was late"
Cons: "In order to ride the plane, I have to walk outside. It is very cold."
Cons: "Cramped seats did not recline; all drinks, including water, had to be paid for; plane did not have a jet bridge and passengers had to walk up and down stairs to embark and disembark. This airline takes No Frills to an entirely new level."
Pros: "The price is the main reason to fly. It was on time and efficient. Would definitely ride this airline again."
Cons: "Restrictions on baggage made me have to rearrange. Nothing major, just a slight inconvenience."
Pros: "The crew were very friendly."
Cons: "My wife & I had our flight departure delayed by an hour due to overcrowding of planes & our arrival was delayed by 30 minutes for the same reason. Also, the seats were cramped & they didn't recline."
Pros: "Timings, the plane was fine for the short journey we had."
Cons: "The boarding process and difficulty in hearing the crew member as he had a very strong Eastern European accent"
Pros: "Gave 1 star for food & entertainment as didn't buy food and of course too short for entertainment Would fly again with Ryan Air if they didn't insist on a printer boarding pass, too difficult."
Cons: "Having to print out a boarding pass is almost impossible when travelling as no access to a printer. The check-in area at Dublin as poor signage as I needed to get my booking pass stamped & passports checked The seats didn't recline & because I am not tall the head rest curve pushes my head forward (on most planes) have gap behind neck so very uncomfortable only helped by reclining seat. Boarding messy as no seat order called hence isles blocked, most planes load back seats first keeping isles free, this plane had back & front stair gangways but weren't told."
Pros: "Price - boarding was good, especially considering plane was full."
Cons: "Punctuality - about 40 mins late both ways - I kinda factor that in now!!"
Pros: "The price was right. ...at least until I figured out that my checked bag cost twice as much as my airfares ticket!"
Cons: "I think maybe I should have flown on Aer Lingus instead. Next time I will do more research. Absolutely nothing is free on Ryan. The only free thing is your carry on bag. Food, drinks, prearranged seat assignment, etc. all cost money."
Pros: "Staff was nice and flight was efficient."
Cons: "A lot of hidden fees were frustrating and flight was cramped and felt like a sales pitch."
Pros: ", bought a coffee & the male attendant told me how to use it . New filter lid"
Cons: "waiting to take off . Flight boarded early then we sat on plane . 12.50 flight & arrived just before 15.00."
Pros: "Cheap, quick, and safe flight."
Cons: "Because the tickets are so cheap, they try to get money out of you at every turn! They charged us $20 each to print our boarding passes at the airport (it wasn't enough to have them on our phones)! They make you pay to check a bag and you have to arrange it ahead of time (cannot ask to do it at the airport). They made a big fuss about the sizes of our bags and threatened to charge up to $55 per bag if they needed to check them at the gate! They have tiny compartments at the gate but our bags fit without any issues on the plane itself."
Pros: "boarding was on time and no delays on the tarmac"
Cons: "It was way to small, no room. Rough take off and landing"
Pros: "The flight was very late and then the gate information came up almost as the flight was boarding."
Cons: "Lack of boarding information"
Pros: "The price"
Cons: "They will hit you for more money every chance they get. Checked baggage. Not printing boarding pass prior to getting to the airport."
Pros: "The flight was on time and boarding was quick."
Cons: "No complimentary drinks. But I expected that so it was fine."
Cons: "Everything, especially the employees"
Pros: "We arrived to our destinations, and so did our bags. Good! And crew were all friendly."
Cons: "But this budget airline feels so in every sense. Boarding is from Tarmac, even coffee or tea costs checked bag, and weight limits are low, boarding is chaotic, no flight entertainment... By the time we paid for all our bags and did the whole dance of moving items from bag to bag to meet limits, we could have probably picked a better airline and had more comfort. They have a policy to charge for musical instruments, and even though there was space, on our return flight we were forced to check it, which we mostly try to avoid for safety of instrument...the way out no issue, the way back we got a stickler. Overall, for single travelers who don't care where you sit and just have a small bag, go for it. Trying to shoehorn a family of four plus instrument led to several up charges and annoying encounters at airport. I'll avoid next time."
