Airline reviews

I flew Aer Lingus Business class for the first time. Having flown economy a few times, I was familiar with the airline, and happy enough with economy. I’ve certainly been in nicer economy airlines before, but Aer Lingus is usually very reasonable, and I find the staff to be kind and have an Irish sense of humor and accommodation. The business experience was good, in that you got superior service to the back, lay down seats, better food and drinks, and more attentive service. However, the plane was a bit older, the WiFi was slow(not Starlink) and the pods were too close to one another for privacy, or function. When the Oder lady to the left of me fell asleep(fully reclined) there was no way for me to escape without having to wake her and put her seat all the way up. That lead to me being stuck with luggage I couldn’t put away in a cramped(for business) space, and no way to use the restroom for almost the whole 8 1/2 hour trip. I ended up trying to sleep with a large backpack blocking my feet. The food was good for plane food, but not great. The drinks were great, shame I couldn’t have had more, but I’d have peed myself. I love a window, but next time maybe an isle seat. Overall, the experience was good, not great, but an expensive good experience during which I got zero sleep. I’d do it again, but it’d have to be a deal.

The direct flight was a superb idea; please continue. The seats were less than comfortable for such a long flight.

Faster charging ports but that’s a super minor complaint.

Check in was excellent. Signs were easily understood and everyone was helpful. Everyone we spoke to was helpful. The crew was excellent.

I didn’t fly because the airline canceled my tickets on the last minute..

The check in and boarding process was smooth, and the flight was fine.

We had a wonderful experience with Aer Lingus. The seats were too close for the long trip. The crew was absolutely perfect. They were so caring and thoughtful! My husband did not have a good experience with Air Lingus on the phone when trying to take care of getting better seating because he is disabled and needed a wheelchair prior to the day of our flight! Mariam R. in Boston was so helpful with seating and getting help for my husband. Filip Pytka who works for OCS was extremely helpful! He made sure that we had the lift because my husband could not climb the stairs to get onto the airplane. He took us from the gate all the way down to where we needed to be.

Aer Lingus App never showed the gate and the board did not update until very close to the time the gate was due to close. Both planes departed late but no announcement was made which would have saved a run for the gate.

Flight delayed 45 minutes almost caused us to miss connection to transatlantic flight.

Vegetarian food options were pretty tasteless. Gob of rice with absolutely no protein, barely any vegetables, and poorly seasoned. Food was the major disappointment of an otherwise good flight experience. However, food is a differentiator on long haul flights.
