The flight was excellent and we appreciate that they ran the flight even though only 9 of us were on board!
Excellent round trip from London Gatwick to Newquay Cornwall! Personable staff and crew, bags made it, flights on time. For me it was 5 stars.
For a small aircraft the choice of food and drinks was excellent compared to other ATR 72 operators. Checked in baggage as standard means easy boarding and disembarking for all.
I shall never book a budget airline flight ever again. Saturday morning flight to Belfast cancelled, rescheduled for following day, arriving 25 minutes before scheduled departure flight. I made the mistake of buying a non-flexible, non-refundable ticket options were so much more expensive. Alternative options offered by KAYAK did not come close in any way to my original booking; My first and last attempt to book a flight through Kayak.
Every flight on this airline is delayed, generally upto 2 hours for an internal flight. Very poor and absolute logistical disaster.
Cons: "Flight was cancelled - they wanted us to go to Humberside by bus! after the plane should of taken off !! not convenient so I have requested a refund as it was Eastern Airways fault"
Pros: "We are a couple aged 84+ visited our son in Hampshire for Christmas. First time flight down, quick, economical and stress free flight. Would recommend to others after years on the tiring drive down from Yorkshire. Son and daughter did great drop off and pick up service too!"
Cons: "Leaving our hand luggage for during the flight, will take smaller bags next time."
Pros: "Our return flight from Glasgow to Manchester was pleasant, on time, and the crew was great."
Cons: "The forty pound charge for a single piece of luggage was enough to make me reconsider flying Flybe again!"
Pros: "We were delayed by mechanical issues. The flight was delayed while we were in the lounge waiting for a gate in Manchester airport. We were delayed again waiting for boarding. I didn’t know that Eastern and Flybe were associated. Are they? The service, crew and associated staff did everything they could to make our eventual takeoff to Glasgow pleasant."
Cons: "See above."
Excellent long haul experience really enjoyed using Dublin pre-immigration
Cons: "Kayak is a horrible company and not easy to work with. They have screwed me royally and I will say nothing but bad things about them. They should not even be in business the way they have handled my situation including hanging up on me multiple times and changing the rules for flight changes, etc. Saying I am unhappy is an understatement."
Cons: "The information at boarding time was hard to understand, even coffee was a charge, they didn’t have our stroller at the gate when we got off then when we got to baggage claim it was still hard to find."
Pros: "Good food"
Cons: "We arrived late to Dublin because of weather and we’re going to miss our connection to Leeds so they rerouted us via Manchester but our bags, though tagged “Rush” did not make it on the new flight and we were without them for five days! we still had to get to Leeds so we had to pay for train tickets"
Pros: "Great movies and TV available."
Cons: "The food and service was pretty mediocre. The plane was old and felt dirty."
Pros: "Nothing.....never made the flight....due to multiple flights delayed. My family and I had to be rerouted which caused us to miss our flight home from LAX."
Cons: "Dublin airport No suitcase when we arrived No food. No inflight entertainment"
Cons: "Would it be too much to ask for a free beverage for the almost 3 hour flight between Dublin and Rome?"
Pros: "Friendly and expedient crew."
Cons: "When flying within Europe you need to pay for drinks, including water."
Pros: "The flight itself was great"
Cons: "The lines to get on the plane were insane. We waited for over an hour to check our bags because the kiosks weren’t working. Our luggage gate closed at 1115 and they waited until 1130 to call us out of the line because it was last call. Then they proceeded to tell us that our luggage may not make it because we didn’t push people out of the way and throw down grandmas? Unorganized."
A few short delays - but otherwise very good ! Staff helpful & friendly & food nice - seats / earbuds / movies made time pass which was a huge comfort since I can’t sleep .
Flight was canceled with little notice or explanation. There were no other flights to Belfast from Heathrow, so I had to travel across town to London City (or wait until the next day).
The seats are so close together. The space between me and the seat in front of me was almost clostrophic.
Kayak doesn’t work with you if you need to make changes. They are the worst service I’ve ever used. Don’t use Kayak!!
Pros: "Economy is always Economy and I got what I paid for therefore I am satisfied with that fact. In addition we were on time."
Cons: "All was well with the Airline and British Airways met all the safety protocol, I expected. The booking with Kayak was made online. I had questions after the booking, I called. The representatives were very helpful,. professional and courteous. Thank you."
Cons: "The flight from London to Miami was great! The one from Miami to Las Vegas was awful. No seat-back entertainment screens, not power outlets so you could watch on your own device, one bottle of water for a five hour flight, and ride, inattentive cabin crew. I should point out that while I booked through BA, both flights were operated by American Airlines."
Pros: "The one saving grace, however, was the arrival lounge at Heathrow, which did have excellent breakfast food."
Cons: "The seats in business class were very small and uncomfortable. We are not large people, but there was no room to sleep. Plus the service was not warm, the food unappetizing. We will never fly on British Airways again."
Pros: "Lovely wide windows!"
Cons: "Surprised at check in with a $60 fee for my one and only checked bag for a 2 week trip. Felt robbed. Seats very close together on flight. Sore knees."
Cons: "Entertainment was really poor, the screen was really small , movies and shows are outdated and most of them don’t work. It was really cold during the flight. My flight attendant was not really friendly, not like the rest of the attendants who smile at you and very helpful."
Cons: "There was a delay of more than an hour so I had to run for my connecting flight then my bags didn't make the flight."
Pros: "Crew were very attentive. Seats usual Ryan Air not the most comfortable seats. Boarded FIRST as was special assistance which is much better than being boarded last with everybody looking at you & no room for hand luggage at your seat so having to get somebody to place it further down plane."
Cons: "My special assistance required lift off plane which didn't happen so I along with people on crutches had to try negotiate way down steps in the wind & rain."
Pros: "Next just to check if a person say that they have paid luggage . Just to have a look. Not just jump to you have to paid. I would have paid for something I had already paid for. That’s all. Not only was it a waste of time for me and for them as well. As the air hostesses had such attitude."
Cons: "I know the customer is not always right but it would not kill them to check if someone say something."
Pros: "N/A did not fly."
Cons: "I had a medical emergency, and these are non refundable so I contacted the airline to let them know I would not be on the flight so I would not be held further accountable for our absence."
Pros: "Priority boarding and luggage storage."
Cons: "The crew had no control over rowdy/drunk passengers. A shame as young children present. Not one request to calm down and refrain from shouting and swearing. Very uncomfortable and intimidating flight. Will not fly Ryanair again"
Pros: "There is nothing to like about an airline that appears to have low fares and then nickel & dimes you for everything, typical bait-and-switch style of doing business."
Cons: "First of all, this airline needs to train their staff better. The gate agent I dealt with on a flight has no business in any field where she would be required to work with people. Second, this airline needs to get their s*@t together when it comes to baggage. I was humiliated (by the creature they hired for a gate agent) when I was forced off the boarding line and then demanded to pay 200 euros (cash only and in euros only) for carry-on luggage that was under the size and weight requirements, and had already flown, without incident, on numerous flights during the same trip. I filed a complaint with Ryanair and weeks later received a very passive, useless, response from some brain-dead individual in corporate I suppose. No one at Ryanair cared about the mafioso-type treatment my family and I, including my 80-year-old mother, received. Avoid this airline at all costs (literally and figuratively)! It will not save you money, or anything else. It will only cost you more!"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "You have to pay to check-in at the airport. And they make you go to another line to check in again. Also when I weighed my luggage it was 13-kilos which means I could have it as a carryon. But at the gate they made me pay another 50 euros for my luggage"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Everything cost money. They were late both flights. The seats didn’t recline. There was no communication for the boarding. It cost $100 each way for bags. It cost $24 to print out your boarding pass if you did it at the airport. Water even cost money. No pocket on the seat backs to put stuff in. Bags took forever to get."
Pros: "The flight was fine"
Cons: "Check-in on Stansted airport was completely messed up. Nothing was convenient. We almost missed the plane. They charge for everything. No good procedure in place"
Pros: "Cabin bag size restriction is just under US standard. Cost us almost double the flight cost to check them at the gate. Won’t ever use them again. Don’t be sucked in by their low fares, they’ll get it back and more."
Cons: "Horrible and intentionally deceptivebaggage policy"
Cons: "There were 3 queues, supposedly- one for priority boarding, one for back row seats and one for the rest of the passengers. But there was only one person at the boarding gate and she was accepting anyone with a boarding pass regardless of which queue they came from. This resulted in a lot of shoving and pushing and a complete bottleneck at the gate. It was uncivilised to put it mildly. Really poor experience. Next time I’ll try a different airline even if I need to pay a bit more."
We bought tickets for £30 from kayak but we paid £55 for check in to rayan , they slaught us
Flight was delayed so long we missed our second flight. Entire trip had to be cancelled. Ryanair refused to help us.
Stanton airport is outdated, pure equiped, airport. Fire alarms, power outages is a common routine, wich result ir flights delay , additional money spending and huge gathering of people in airport wich is unsafe.
After you made us check-in I tried to add a suitcase in the internet and also to get help by chet. Nothing work and we pay 60 pounds at Airport. Comper to Easyjet to do the same, was easy and customer friendly.
Boarding was like being hoarded like cattle, all penned in in an area way to small
I missed the flight from Manchester to Dublin because of poor informations from Aer Lingus and the airport, no possibility to check in online, they don't respond to phone calls, I had to buy another tickets to enable me travel to Dublin from Manchester. I want my money to refund.
I were there 20min before departure and they didn’t let me on the board with 5 other people, after all they admitted it was their(Ryanair) fault.
