Cons: Flight was delayed. Wifi didn't work One drink and they did not offer a second round of drinks or water
Cons: There was a lot of unexpected delays and changes, however, the crew was great and they did what was best for the customers.
Pros: The crew always makes the passenger laugh while keep strict observance of regulations.
Cons: I wish traveler were given an IQ test before boarding. Boarding is a little chaotic but there’s nothing I think can be done about people that don’t follow instructions. Random seat assignments bring the aggressiveness out of some passengers. All I ask is for an aisle seat due to my bladder issues. I go to the restroom too often to be on a window or middle seat.
Cons: Incoming plane was delayed, so we got out of the gate late, missed our intended takeoff the slot, and sat on the runway for an hour and a half. Crew apparently unable to offer extra snacks, drinks, entertainment, or anything. Certainly not their fault, but and unpleasant experience nonetheless
Pros: I like the boarding process. I like free checked bags.
Cons: The wifi didn’t work. Not even able to watch a movie.
Pros: Standard flight
Cons: The entertainment was not working well. Very old plane for this flight. Ground crew was very late at denver.
Cons: I am a frequent SW customer and normally love this airline. On this particular day however, the plane was loaded and ready to go for 7:10am departure, but we sat at the gate, and sat, and sat. Finally, at 7:25 the cockpit informed that SW had decided to add additional cargo - so the flight was intentionally delayed without consideration for connecting passengers (I had a 50minute window in Nashville with change of terminals required). All the while, the crew was whooping it up in the cockpit with the flight crew with no further explanation. In total, we were 25 - 30 minutes delayed.
Pros: Free in flight tv shows and movies, and limited drinks & snacks are offered.
Cons: Less delays
Pros: Well organized, efficient,dependable
Cons: Really nothing
Pros: The one flight attendant she was very polite and very helpful on my flight from Houston to Dallas
Cons: If the flights were on time, if I was advised that purchasing business ticket didn’t guarantee me a seat up front instead I had to take a seat in the back of the plane due to the open seat policy yet I purchased 2 business class tickets for 1300 when I could have purchased the get away anytime tickets at a lesser price and still receive the same treatment
Pros: Pilot communacative
Cons: Middle seat empty
Cons: Not your fault but a toddler about 3 rows back screamed at the top of his lungs for about 2-1/2 hours, thank God for head phones
Pros: Pilot Timothy was amazing! So kind and friendly!
Pros: Pleasant crew. Peopl were wearing their masks.
Cons: Tight space. Some planes have a little wider seats. I don’t want to know the person sitting next to me that well.
Pros: The plane was new and the seats were nice.
Cons: better streaming music support
Cons: the internet for streaming music
Cons: The internet sucks for music streaming. They ended up refunding me
Pros: Crew was friendly. Flight was on time.
Pros: Friendly crew. Flight was on time.
Pros: connecting flights were on time. Friendly staff, clean plane.
Pros: They are great! On time or early, nice and affordable. Best airline in industry cuz of no rebooking fees and no baggage fees. Plus wonderful staff
Pros: Okay. So just to give you context. Our flight from SNA Orange County was delayed by almost three and a half hours. We were scheduled to reach Denver at 2 but we ended up reaching at 4:19 pm Our flight from Denver was scheduled to leave at 4:20 pm. We needed up missing our connecting flight. They announced that they were holding the flight just in time for us to make it on board our connecting flight. But when we reached the boarding gate the flight had already left. We had to stay overnight at Denver and only had a return ticket on the same flight the next day (i.e at 4:30 pm the next day).
My wife and I are not upset about the delay. I wish the staff could have clearly communicated to us if the flight had already left and not just falsely say they were holding the connecting flight.
On top of that I wish they could have given priority for people with connecting flights on the flight from SNA to DEN to first leave the flight. They just made an announcement and didn’t do anything about trying to let the passengers with the connecting flights out first. We lost a good 5-7 minutes just waiting for everyone up front to deboard the flight.
Cons: Better communication and priority to escort and ensure the passengers with connecting flights were able to get to the boarding gate on time. Clear instructions of baggage claims for missed flights. Our bags were in the holding area since they didn’t make it to the connecting flight. We got our check in suitcases delivered to the hotel where we were staying after almost 7.5 hours. We waited for almost 3 hours at Denver airport to hear back something and decided to leave to the hotel. We didn’t get the bags deliver till midnight 12:15 pm
Cons: Took an hour at Phoenix Sky Airport and 40 minutes at Midway Chicago to get luggage. Ridiculous Takes Southwest Air forever to deliver luggage
Pros: Price was way cheaper than driving, fast boarding, fun & with great free entertainment!
Cons: It is not a flight it is about making friends in-line and finding the best seats. If you are an introvert bring an extrovert with you!
Pros: Seats were comfy, crew was great!
Cons: Vegan snack options.
Pros: The free movies were nice to have while flying. The crew did a good job of having everyone wear their masks properly.
Cons: I miss having breakfast/lunch/dinner on the flights and having a full can of soda or a whole bottle of water.
Pros: Easy check in and out. Will fly southwest over and over again! ✈️
Cons: Refreshments could’ve been a tad bigger.
Pros: Customer service
Pros: Crew was fun!
Cons: The landing was kinda rough. Too many babies on board.
Pros: The grew was great and did their best.
Cons: There were multiple time changes starting earlier in the morning and it changed about 10 times due to the weather. Was just kind of confusing when it kept going back and forth.
Pros: We landed safely and on time. That's all I expect, you did that well.
Pros: Loved that you guys do the early bird checkin where we get to pick our seats
Cons: My fiancé was in the middle seat and was uncomfortable the entire time due to the seating areas to be so small. Our flight to LV was great, the coming back was just crammed.
Pros: No issue boarding
Cons: Doubts on clean and covid cleaning protocols, when the plane still have passangers onboard
Pros: The flight attendants were nice
Cons: Social distancing is a thing of the past.
Pros: First time on southwest and never again. Hate the boarding hate the crew sarcasm and “wear your mask” every other minute. Just not enjoyable.
Cons: Be on time. Be honest about the delay. Get out luggage out in a timely manner!! B
Cons: The flight was delayed for more than one hour that’s the length of the whole travel
Cons: Crew doesn’t have fun anymore.
Pros: Big delay. Really rough landing and flight.
Elderly couple took exit row even though they clearly couldn’t assist. Need more discretion from flight crew to guide this
Cons: Big delay. Really rough landing and flight. Elderly couple took exit row even though they clearly couldn’t assist. Need more discretion from flight crew to guide this
Pros: Less people, row to myself
Cons: seats could use a feet hammock
Pros: Timely flight
Cons: Lead attendant’s delivery wasn’t friendly at all
Pros: Delparted on time
Cons: Scheduled employees to be at ticket counter early enough to accommodate passengers needing to check luggage.
Pros: Perfect flight, some turbulence which the pilot forewarned the passengers. Superb landing!
Pros: FREE Checked Bags....2 of them, really You guys are great. Also, soft drinks still included, thank you.
Cons: The flight was a little too warm both on the way out to Denver and the way back. The wifi kicked off a couple of times
Cons: Retrieving bags was slower than normal.
Pros: Being able to watch the NCAA game live, when it worked.
Cons: TV was spotty for too much of the game. More importantly, too many people, no social distancing. It feels like Southwest doesn't care at all. I felt unsafe.
Cons: Too many people, no social distancing. I felt unsafe.
Pros: I love that southwest still keeps iMessage free for Apple users. Helps me when I have anxiety when there is turbulence, I can easily text my husband. The entertainment is still great.
Cons: Everything was great, I love that they are on track to opening more options with drinks!
Cons: Flight left 1/2 hr late...but arrived on time.
Pros: Great crew. Stinky passengers
Cons: Maybe some air freshener. Could smell the farts even through my mask
Pros: Crew were funny and accomodating to my family traveling with a small baby.
Cons: The Southwest desks were understaffed. Southwest requires an in person check-in for lap infants, which made us wait in line for 80mins with a fussy baby. Then the gates were understaffed and we had to wait for gatecheck tags at another gate and almost missed our boarding time.
Pros: The crew was exceptional.
Pros: Very friendly crew
Pros: Flight completely full. No food except snack crackers. Only 4 beverages, coke, diet coke, seven up and water.
Cons: COVID survey at gate as we were called for boarding by group required us to be pulled out of "A" group to fill out survey that was done one person at a time on electronic tablet that we were last to be allowed to board aircraft. This could easily been done while everyone was waiting for their flight.
Pros: Nice flight without any problems. Friendly crew.
Cons: Nothing to improve
Marketing itself as a low-cost airline, Southwest Airlines operates predominantly domestic flights within the United States. The airline flies to 41 of the country’s 50 states. Flying to a further 10 countries, there is a focus on Caribbean destinations such as Jamaica, Cayman Islands, Cuba, Aruba and The Bahamas.
All flights are scheduled using a point-to-point system, which is decentralized and relies loosely on the airline’s hubs. In comparison to the hub and spoke system commonly used by major airlines, Southwest Airlines reduces the likelihood of baggage loss and fuel consumption per passenger. With less connections and travel time, you can get to your destination faster.
Unlike most other American airlines, you are allowed 2 checked bags for free with every ticket purchased. Another customer benefit is that there is no change of flight fees, meaning you only need to pay the difference of the cost of the tickets. If you switch to a cheaper flight, a credit is provided for future use.
Videos of Southwest Airlines’ safety announcements have gone viral, with the cabin crew regularly mixing in tasteful humor. As they engage the passengers and build a warm atmosphere, make sure you take your headphones out and listen in. Specific seats are not allocated and customers are free to choose their own seat. Complimentary app messaging is provided so that passengers can use WhatsApp and iMessage during the flight.
The fleet is made up exclusively of Boeing aircraft and has used the 737 family series since 1971. A bold livery featuring a dark blue body and orange and red stripes has become the customary design.
