When I went into the Kia in order to finalize the rental agreement, the kayak price was 8560 they immediately try to get me up to 111 and after about two minutes the price was up to 311 and I was asking for verification why it got so expensive and did not get any answered so I canceled the car. It was an excellent example of bait and switch
My experience was terrible. I paid for the rental car online and went to go pick it up. I go up to the lady at the front desk thinking she would help me but she proceeds to lead me to a machine to talk to. So now I’m on a video chat with a lady I can barely hear. She proceeds to tell me I can’t pick up the car because of something with my insurance. Which is fine, I understood and didn’t complain. The lady on the video chat told me she cancelled the booking. I asked the lady at the front desk if I could get a refund and she told me to contact the site I booked the car from and I would get it. So I contacted the site later on and they told me they tried to call MEXRENTACAR but they did not answer. Then they told me they wrote an email to them requesting a refund for me and that I should come back in 72 hours for an update. So that’s what I did. When I contact them a few days later, after a very long time of them trying to reach the place again, they tell me that they unfortunately can’t refund me for the rental because the whole thing with the insurance. They said it is part of their terms and conditions and “I should’ve known this when paying for the car”. However they did not make that clear or known whatsoever in the checkout process. You should not be able to allow a customer to complete a payment without CLEARLY stating ALL of the necessary information. I cannot understand why I can’t get a refund for something I never received or used. I feel like I got scammed. Not an enjoyable experience whatsoever.
I see a lot of reviews are negative for this car rental agency, and I just want to say it's not true. I had a wonderful experience with them, and was very happy with the whole process. The price, the car, the check in and check out, everything was wonderful. Yes, they are for proof of insurance - but that is standard. Remember that not everyone has full coverage on their cars. So if you do have full coverage, then your car rental is covered. If you only have liability, if you total the rental car, who is going to pay for it? They are only covering their butts. I think it's fine. I came with a printout of my "Coverages" page from my insurance policy, and if you have a credit card with coverage for car rentals, you can get a printout with your name on it to bring in as well. There was no issues and they didn't try to sell me anything and I was out on the road in 5 minutes! I will rent from them again, and you should too. They were really friendly, even they guy when I brought the car back! Great company (I rented in LAX).
Fake prices. Will cost you 10x what you initially pay. And they won’t give me back my deposit. Avoid this scam

This company is a total scam! One of the worst experiences. The car that I booked broke few days later(the transmission. They replaced with a totally different category car (not meant for driving in the bad Bulgarian roads) claiming it’s a “free upgrade” even though I was vocal that I don’t want a free upgrade. Wasted a whole day dealing with that. Before I left I almost missed my flight due to them being late and pressuring me to sign for made up damage. (Scratches) AVOID AT ALL COST!
The car was good and clean. Their insurance policy is terrible, customer service is rude, they did not accept online prepaid insurance coverage had to pay triple price.
