HORRIBLE experience.... they Over booked an Lied to me TWICE saying that my vehicle was reserved... i show up No vehicles to rent much less the truck i had reserved over THREE weeks in advanced....

Overall it was good but it was an electric car and finding a spot to charge it was not easy. When I finally found one the plug did not fit in the vehicle so I had to take it back not fully charged and got dinged on that but not too badly.

The staff at OR Tambo Airport are helpful and friendly, and doing the best they can. The car was clean and ready at pickup and performed to expectation.

I had a terrible experience renting from Hertz at Orlando airport. The staff misled me about insurance coverage, claiming I had collision coverage when I didn’t. The car was in poor condition—damaged, with malfunctioning electronics and low tire pressure. After being rear-ended, Hertz provided no assistance, forcing me to waste a full vacation day resolving the issue. Employees were unhelpful and dismissive, showing no empathy or effort to resolve their mistakes. I ended up switching to National for the remainder of my trip. This was by far the worst rental experience I’ve ever had, and I won’t be using Hertz again.

There was no car waiting for me, and I was not notified. Since Hertz did not electronically cancel the reservation despite my request, the money I paid for car insurance (automatically when I made the reservation) was not refunded. Hertz had my email and phone number. They could have informed me of the absence of a rental car, and I would not have wasted a lot of time and some money.
