Hertz had no cars whatsoever! And a whole room of stranded travellers sitting around pissed off about it. They said if I waited one to two hours i might get a car. No promises. What is the point of reserving a vehicle if the vehicle doesn't exist? It makes me think that Kayak's whole car rental system is just a scam to prevent me from finding a better deal at the airport.

We did not like anything about our experience. We booked our rental weeks in advance and in the end they didn’t actually have our vehicle for us. They oversold on vehicles and when we went to get our much needed 7 passenger vehicle, they didn’t have it in stock. Their only response was that they didn’t have it and there was nothing they could do. As a result, we had to stop at two other competing company locations just to find a vehicle that could transport our whole family who was on vacation together (5 adults, two of which are seniors, and two children who use car seats). This was a terrible experience and we lost two travel days just to try and find a vehicle.

car had a mechanica issue and Hertz sent me to 2 closed offices to replace car, resulted in me having to drive 50 miles to get replacement car, after finding my own replacement office

The gentleman at the pickup counter was friendly and helpful. Once directed to the garage we were on our own. No directions or explanations. I walked back to find someone to see if I give them the inspection paper in the car or if we just go. They very abruptly said “you give it to the guy on the way out!” Like I should have known. Later in the day when we got to our hotel we found piles of ants in the car everywhere. There were crumbs and debris all over the seats and a pair of sunglasses left in the cup holder from the previous renter. I took the car to a self serve car wash to vacuum it out before my family got back in because they were too grossed out to get back in. Ants were on our clothes from the car in our hotel room and it just really put everyone off. The drop-off was quick and friendly. However I expressed my concern over the cleanliness and they simply said “I’m sorry I’ll tell them to clean better,” or something similar. Obviously I don’t expect a full refund, but something to express concern over a poor service form a company. As a business owner I would not want to have someone go away with a bad review and at this point I would. I would not be able to recommend this rental company. At least not in Los Angeles. I would not mind someone Reaching out to me from your company email if you choose

Location is sketchy...and especially disliked having you wait out in the cold for the shuttle to take you to the airport...luckily it was only in the 60's. I can't imagine being there when it's way hotter or much colder

Our car was fine, very clean. Picking up and dropping off is very easy. We were told our car will not be ready for 45 minutes however when we went back they have one ready for us right away. The very disappointing experience were the sales tactics used at the beginning. Obviously you have your insurance and damage sales, and that’s to be expected. We were pretty much pushed into getting the toll coverage. We’re not familiar with the area and we told a clerk exactly where we were planning to go and he mentioned that we should definitely get the toll coverage as specifically San Diego, Disney Land, Palm Springs and parts of LA Definitely toll! I think in our whole nine days we entered a toll once, and not at the place is mentioned at all. We were told that we would be fined And charged more if we didn’t have this toll pass. $11 a day for 9 days!!!! I would have rather taking the fine which would’ve been a lot cheaper, and I’m very disappointed in a business that would take advantage of their customers! Please researchWhere you are traveling before purchasing this option is my best advice. I think we should get $100 refund for this purchase ultimately, if Fox wants to make a right on this!

You MUST have a credit card. This was a policy change AFTER we booked our rental. We get to the counter and they informed us our debit card, which we've used before with them, wasn't accepted. Luckily we had my wife's parent's credit card but communication on this policy change would have been nice...

Easy to reserve online. When we came to pick up our car, we were told they didn't have the type we had reserved and insisted all we could do was pay more to "upgrade" to a larger vehicle. They let you go out into the garage and pick your own vehicle, the vehicles in the section we were told to go to were either literally falling apart or smelled like smoke inside. Luckily they brought over a freshly detailed car while we were trying to figure out what to do. We took that one and we're on the road before we realized we were in the car type we originally requested and paid extra for no reason. Then when we got to our destination and I looked more closely at the paperwork, they had me listed as the driver, instead of my husband, and there were no additional drivers listed despite the fact that we had provided them with HIS license at the time of rental. We called to try to have him added but were told they can only add additional drivers in person and the closest rental office to us was 1.5 hours away. Luckily when we returned the car, we explained the situation to customer service and they reversed the "upgrade" charge.

The service was exceptional! Our representative was so helpful. I needed an All Wheel Drive vehicle and she checked on the rental to make sure that it was equipped. I had not rented from Sixt before and it was so much better than any other car rental company I’ve used...so professional, friendly and helpful! Will definitely recommend and use them again!

Attempted to cancel due to COVID, and the cancellation screen simply went in circles ad nauseam. All calls referred back to the circular cancellation site. After two emails, the last of which was strategically timed to land after the 24 hour cancellation time limit, I was offered a partial refund.

Impossible to change or cancel the reservations once made through a third-party travel agency. Avoid doing any rentals through Sixt through a 3rd party. Wasted several hours getting bounced back and forth. Terrible customer service! They just kept quoting “ While we know you may be disappointed by our decision, it is based on sound business practices”. They were the worst

We were pretty disappointed when LA traffic got us to the Sixt office at 5:10 pm on pick-up day to discover that the office closed at 5:00. A phone call would have been nice. At least it would have saved us the time we spent in downtown traffic finding the office and getting our ride back to pick us up again. We still would have had to pay an Uber to get back there from Pasadena the next morning. The vehicle (Chrysler Pacifica) was clean and comfortable, if not at all what we wanted. Apparently it was the only vehicle available. I still have not gotten charged, which is awkward. Otherwise, I had a good experience. The young man who waited in me was efficient, friendly, and helpful.

Wrong car on check in. Had to haggle to get it changed. They made a big deal of no smoking in the vehicle or a $400 fee. We get in the car and it smells of pot. We had to change vehicles. We tried to change drop location and the fee was higher than the price charged for the entire 9 day rental period. Incredibly difficult to get ahold of a real person. Customer service is poor. Last time I rent from them.

I needed to cancel my car rental and it was an absolutely awful experience. There was no person to talk to and I was sent around in a never ending loop to attempt to cancel. After several phone calls, attempts, and long long waits on hold with Priceline trying to get help I basically emailed Sixt and begged them to cancel FOR ME since doing it online as I was instructed wasn’t remotely possible and they did so. I was completely at their mercy and definitely charged 100 dollars even without renting a thing. I felt like I was owed 100 dollars after that entire two days of effort, stress, and finally panic trying to cancel. I would never rent from them again just for this experience alone.

The customer service was wonderful! I wish they had had the vehicle I wanted, but they tried very hard to find another mini-cooper in their fleet before substituting with another make/model. The shuttle was efficient, with helpful driver.

Not all Entreprise dealers in Los Angeles are normal rent-a-car places you would expect. Some are just kiosks that do not live up to the brand name, with limited opening hours, no drop box for keys or early return, no car lot, limited and old cars. Plus, for an early flight on Monday morning, we had to pay an extra USD200$ to drip it off in the airport. We were quite disappointed with Enterprise this time.

Returned car early and got hit with extra cost. It was more expensive to keep the car for 4 days than for a whole week. I tried to return the car on a saturday and their posted hours were incorrect and they were not open. I had to keep the car for 2 extra days. Overall it was more hassle than it was worth.

Car was very old with high mileage . The car was scratched all over outside . They didn’t wash the outside of the car and they did not clean the inside either . The car was extremely dirty , there was still trash inside on the floor and under the seats. This was the worst car rental experience I ever had ! That car didn’t look like a rental .

Pick up could have been quicker if they had more staff working at night. Also, I dont know why it takes half an hour to service one customer? If you pay and order online, all you have to do is to show your ID, sign and get the key. For people who refused to rent the car online, there should be a different line for them so they dont hold up other people.

The staff was extremely courteous considering they were WAY understaffed during the Thanksgiving holidays and many people were complaining about wait times to get into their cars. Check in was a breeze and even with so many people the last day of the Thanksgiving holiday, we still got on the bus quickly and were at the airport in 15 minutes. Very friendly and courteous employees from beginning to end.

When I went to pick up the car, they wanted to charge me double the agreed rate. The reason was that my reservation did not include insurance. This was not clarified in the detail of the reservation. They even tried to charge me an amount even higher than what they told me to pay. Thank God, the bank rejected the operation.

The glass was dirty throughout the car. Its as if the person cleaning it didnt use a clean towel and left smudge marks all over the windshield, side and rear glass making night time driving unsafe. I tried to clean it with dry paper towels but the greasy mess on the glass didnt come off

Basically, the car tire pressure light was on the entire time I had the car and I ended up having to go to a tire shop to ensure I would not get a flat tire on the freeway. This should have been handled before I even had the care in my possesion

The LAX shuttle was packed with people (standing room only) and some passengers were wearing their mask improperly or were without mask. Same as in the line to register for the car at the AVIS terminal. The line at the AVIS terminal was unlike anything I'd seen (in a negative way). I waited for over an hour in line to pick up my car, when I was on time. The line was very long and moved very slowly. When I finally got to an agent, I had to wait a few more minutes because the car I'd reserved wasn't ready. I don't understand how this could be, since your system knew I'd reserved a certain model of car, for a pickup time 90 minutes earlier.

I was up charged at the airport. The original reservation was for $150 but I was told the airport fees and tax were an additional $150. I complained but was stuck and had to pay in order to rent the car.

Requested a LAX airport rental. Rental was over an hour away with bus and lyft and an additional 180.00 in Lyft fees and they closed at 1:00. Cutting our vacation short by 1/2 day. Staff was rude, area had homeless people begging for money, We got there at 12:57 and they had already locked their door. I had to refuse to leave to have them let me in. She your reservation says 12:00 which I replied I requested a LAX and I landed at 11:10. She rushed my along, tossed the keys at me and said if you return to airport 2x the fee and $300.00. Returning was just as bad and the Lyft was 117.00. As we were leaving with our car an eldery couple showed up and they would not unlock the door for them. Poor people were stuck and no one cared. I am mad as I can be and I want to have someone call me.

Long line to get a car that was already reserved, (waited 1.5 hrs). Unlike National, I had to bring out my license 2x and staff was pushy with "extras". If I were interested in those extras, I would already indicated them on the reservation. Please fix your system.

Will NEVER again use Kayak vendor, Rentalcars.com, Thrifty, or any other Hertz company. Wait in line to complete rental and get car was close to 2 hours AND was unable to cancel (and pay the cancelation fee) either online (site unresponsive) or via phone (wait on hold longer than the wait in line). THE WORST!

Good except the customer service representative was not Accommodating at all. He seem to just want to leave his job and didn’t want have the time to look for a comfortable price for me because this had been an emergency rental for me and I was trying to look for something economical. I had to dude I’m looking online on my phone in front of him because he said he couldn’t find anything in his computer when in my side I had several options that were way cheaper than what he was offering me. Also before I started looking on my own he had said they didn’t have any cars available but then when I found it online and paid on the spot he had cars all of a sudden available.

Loved everything except the shuttle to the airport. It was a bit confusing and wish we had known that the "Joe's Parking" was an option from airport to rental. Taking the metro bus was a really long wait (25+ minutes) and it only went a short distance to a Midway shuttle van which then doubled back half the distance - it was just time consuming and confusing since Midway isn't a listed rental agency at LAX so we had to google Midway to find directions.

Spent two hours waiting for rental car upon arrival. Internet was down. On return, the shuttle to airport was a disaster. We were told there would be one every 15-20 minutes. After 40 minutes, one came and they only could accommodate two passengers. We ended up using Uber. Very disappointing.

Internet crashed then they had payment processing crash. We all waited an hour. Then sent to garage freezing cold so they could log us in on ipad which also failed bc of a broken credit card reader. Transport from LAX is atrocious. They don’t answer their phones often to give pick you times from metro stop. Large group waiting in the rain eventually had to take Ubers to get to midway. No refunds. Pretty awful overall. I did not end up renting and walked away an hour into this ordeal and just got an $100 Uber instead of renting from them.

I couldn’t hear the cashier and she was adding extra charges without my consent. I had to make sure to ask her to take those charges off because I didn’t need/want them. One example was insurance. She made me pay for insurance for the vehicle when I had already purchased insurance. I’m not too happy about that. She was bored and uninterested and I left the encounter scratching my head and feeling like I was taken advantage of.

We received a car with engine problems. It literally died in the middle of the Pacific Coast Highway. We managed to coast it to a parking lot and then were told a tow truck would come within 60 minutes. We waited almost 5 hours and were told different things every time we called. When we got back, Budget refused to refund the car or give us any compensation beyond a 15% discount next rental. They told us to dispute the charge on our credit card instead. (The manager at the LAX office said they had no power and admitted it was a wider issue with corporate that they couldn't do anything for customers). So, we paid for a rental car that didn't work and had to spend all day waiting for a tow truck. Absolutely awful - next time use Turo or a less legacy brand.

I wanted to add another driver who was not there. At the Budget office at LAX I was clearly told I had to bring this person to a budget office to do that. Later on my vacation I called the closest Budget office, and was told since I didn't take the Budget insurance, as long as the other driver had my approval, they were covered on my car insurance, and to double-check with my insurance. I checked with my own insurance and it was fine. I wished I was informed about this at the pick up point.

Budget's rental location is only accessible by shuttle bus. Signage inside the airport isn't great and the bus got stuck in airport traffic. Once we finally arrived at the Budget facility, the signage was poor and the entire area was in need of renovation. My impression was of a dumpy bus station. Rental agents were OK and the wait wasn't bad.

The biggest issue is a Priceline issue more than Airport Van Rentals. Priceline’s marketing is misleading having stated AVR cara come with unlimited miles. The confirmation email clearly states the same. This is not true. Our miles were limited to 1,000 miles. Additionally, no instructions were given for after hours drop off. Poor customer service.

Drop off was very easy, great daily rate1. Unlimited mileage quoted at Priceline reservation, BIG surprise when at pick mileage cap at 375 miles per day. NO GOOD, we do not like surprises. 2. First van provides had expired license plates, no good to drive out of state. 3. Priceline customer service not helpful on resolving "unlimited" mileage discrepancy.

NOTHINGWORST experience EVER!!! There was supposed to be a shuttle to come pick us up to get the car, NO ONE EVER SHOWED UP, nor did they answer the phone calls for 3 straight hours. They said they are not to be held accountable for any reservations done through a 3rd party website. Had to rebook me all over at a higher rate. Also had the rudest employees. My advice is to be responsible and hire better employees. DON'T RECOMMEND AT ALL. It's a HUGE SCAM and their cars are full of damages.

Nothing. The reservation was not honored. I rode my bike 60 miles to pick up a van that was not actually reserved. NO representatives from Kayak/Priceline could be reached via phone. Automated CS told me I could make an appointment to speak with someone later in the week! I found another van, rode another 13 miles to get it and instead of paying the $322 I confirmed with Priceline I ended up paying $900 at Enterprise.Literally everything.

There was nothing wrong with car itself, but apart from that I cannot recommend NU Car in Los Angeles. We arrived at LAX in the morning around 10am. There had been no communication/description from NU Car about how to get from the terminal to the rental car agency, so we assumed they would have shuttle signage with the other rental car agencies. We were wrong. They do not answer their phones, but instead ask you to text message them for information. 4-5 text messages later they explain they are in the lobby of the Westin, and that we should take the Westin’s shuttle. Why this information was not communicated upon renting the car I have no idea. Dropping the car off after hours (5:30pm) the station in the Westin was closed. Again, there was zero communication about procedure. There was a drop box for keys, so we parked the car in their lot (once we figured out how to do so by walking around the parking garage for ten minutes), dropped the keys off and left. As we were leaving we encountered a family coming to pick up their NU Car rental who were completely confused and unable to reach anyone. If you’re thinking of renting from NU Car in Los Angeles and want my advice, I’ve got to say: just don’t do it, man. Jeff M

You need to know ahead of time to take the hotel shuttle to the Westin. There's no clear instructions on where to go to get picked up at LAX and they took hours to respond to a text per their automated phone instructions. Would be really helpful to include that up front on your website or phone recording. But once I got there and picked up the car everything was great, car was clean and had no issues the rest of the trip including drop off and shuttle back.

NU is not a good rental company. They don’t have any details on how to get to their rental location from the airport. We arrived at LAX at 7:30am and tried to call them, but they didn’t open till 8:00. They said send a text, but it was just an automated response with no help. Finally we were able to find out we had to take a shuttle for a hotel that had no NU labeling or anything to let us know it was the right shuttle. We are defiantly going with a bigger rental company next time to make it a smoother time.

The price for the rental was amazing but it also came with a price. There were no clear instructions about what shuttle to take to the NU car rental pickup. I placed multiple calls to the phone number provided and i could never get assistance feom the front desk. When you call the automated voice gives you a number to text 'the manager' for assistance. So I did, and got NO reply for over 20 minutes. I was fustrated and confused as to why i couldnt get a call straight through to someone!? This was our first time using the LAX terminal and had no clue as to where the NU shuttle would arrive. And i was unable to get help!! By this time it felt like NU was a scam, not being able to get assistance with any of the phone numbers i was try. We decided to just call an uber and travel over to their office. That uber cost me an extra 30 dollars! While in the uber I finally get a text telling me what door and terminal to wait at to get a shuttle... Are you kidding me.... I finally got a text after 42 minutes!!? I text them back telling them my fustration and asking why their reply took so long. All i got was a ' sorry'.. Hate to break it to you NU rentals but a sorry wont get me my 30 dollars from uber back. And i will definitely stay clear from NU in the future.. Really, no phone number would connect to the front desk and whats with this 'text a manager' crap?? A reply back in 5 minutes would of been perfectly fine, but almost 45 minutes of waiting with no support!?? Pure horrible customer service. The check in was smooth, the return was smooth. I do have one other thing though, the car needed air in the tires. After about 2 hrs into my drive i get a 'check tire pressure' icon on the dashboard. All four tires were under 30 psi... The hell??? Does NU not check their tires before renting them out?? All tires were at different ranges from 22-28, the max psi is 52! Thats WAY too low. So we had to dish out 1.75 of our own money for that. When i returned the car and let the NU employee about the car tires he just brushed it off. No apologie no reason to why i was given a car in such condition. He simply said ok and wrote something down on a clip board. Never again will i rent NU car rentals. Im sticking to Sixth.

I never pickup the car because my flight from LAS to LAX 1079 with JetBlue was delayed the airplane had security issues. So I called NU from LAS to inform them of the involuntary circumstances no one answered and kept having the answering machine then I tried Priceline they said they will get back to me in 7 days!!! I used to search your engine for everything I want but with such incident I would go directly to the main agent. I kindly ask you for complete refund of my money

No license plateWe got pulled over for no rear license plate. Woman at pickup was rude. When we could not understand what she was telling us - she just kept repeating it with no additional explanation. They have you just go over by yourself and pick out a car when they are all parked in so tight there are few options. They are also mostly kias even though your reservations says Toyota or something similar for midsize car. Misleading and unhelpful.

Is Ace rent a car it’s a total rip off. I booked the dealers choice for the car as it was the cheapest at the time. When I arrived at Ace I was told that they’re there were no cars available and to come back in a couple of hours. When I returned it to Ace I was told the only car available was a nine person van, to which I said I didn’t feel comfortable driving a car that big and it was only me so I didn’t need a car that big. They said that because I had booked dealers choice I was the car that I got, even though there were plenty of smaller cars in their lot. When I inquired about the smaller cars they said all those aren’t ready but if you would like you can upgrade to a luxury charger for an extra $50 a day to rent a smaller car. At this point I had already waited hours and just wanted to be done with it so I said OK to the upgrade. The car they gave me was the charger which once I got in the car realized it was much bigger than I thought and didn’t feel comfortable driving it so I asked the front desk to just cancel my booking as I wouldn’t be taking a car. Once I said cancel my booking miraculously a small SUV crossover became available of course they still charged me the extra $50 up charge for a luxury car a day even though they ended up giving me a regular Honda. The whole thing to me seemed very sneaky and a tactic to push customers into a corner where they’re forced to pay an up charge fee for a smaller car when they had smaller cars available all along.

They were closed at 8pm, so when our flight was delayed and we arrived in LAX after 9pm and dropped off on the side of the road at the remote rental car pick up in the dark and left stranded. We had no idea where to go or what to do. Thankfully a Lyft driver comes by the remote pick up area and we were able to get to our hotel.

First time in L.A and ace personally made the first impression a negative one. Not willing to help, unprofessional, The car I got was beat up and smelled like weed, Also the attitude. The guy on the little ipad was talking to me as if I was some thug on the street. Never again, I would like for a manager to contact me at some point about my experience.

The check-in and customer service was so awful. The location is scary and off the very beaten path. You have to take two shuttles to get there and the shuttle at the airport is hard to find. The convertible was a very old model. I should have paid the extra 30 bucks for the main stream rental. It won't happen again.

If you're local they're going to ask you for PROOF of residency and your license isn't good enough. Also proof of rental car coverage on your insurance. The actual documentation that states what your rental car coverage is or they will charge you $30/day for their insurance. Oh and they won't let you know ahead of time that you need to bring any of this. Good luck!

The price was low compared to other car rental companies in the area. The car itself was very slow and kind of broken though. Make sure to inspect the car thoroughly with pictures/video and know exactly where you’re going with the rental car for toll purpose. Customer service wasn’t the best and the lobby was crowned, but the technician was nice enough. If you just need the bare minimum to get from point A to point B without going to toll road, the price is great. The pick up/drop off location is far and off compared to other companies, but they offer after hour drop-off.

It took way too long to pick the vehicle once the shuttle finally got us to the office. Not only wait in the office 40 minutes with only 3 people ahead of me, but once I was helped, it took 25 minutes to have the car brought to me for pickup. The car itself was filthy on the inside. My daughters and I had to clean it before we felt comfortable riding in it.

They start trying to pressure into buying their insurance and other add-ons, but if you are calm and confident they will eventually relax. They did a good job marking the existing damages on the paper when I was picking up my car, but they refused to walk over my car with me there when I dropped it off. Not only that, the people I spoke to (nicely) about it were rude and offended that I would even ask. That to me screamed of scam, but thankfully I took plenty of pictures of the car when I got it and when I dropped it off in case I needed to dispute with time-stamped evidence. Thankfully I got my full deposit back with no bogus add-ons, but their demeaner at drop-off made me worried. They are definitely nicer when they are trying to sell you the car rental, then they are after they have your money and you have questions. And yes, the same employees.

I purchased insurance online when I booked the car rental and was told that it wasn't going to be recogniized. We waited for the shuttle and then when we got to the office, they only had one representative and the group in front of us had issues with their rental, I thought ours would be much smoother, but we had similar issues with the insurance, I have never been told that we need to present the declaration page of our auto insurance when I have rented from other carriers. I am really disappointed in the overall service and the checkout made us late to our appointment. The overall experience was very poor, never again.

Pickup service was very slow. Requirements of having specific insurance documentation was not clear upon booking. They do not accept credit card insurance and force you to send them the ENTIRE insurance policy you have or they will force you into their insurance.

No shuttle service from the airport. They would not honor my insurance with American Family and they misrepresented the car I reserved. I reserved an Infinity q30 and I got an older dodge minivan that smelled heavily of smoke and had 30k miles. The extra fees charged made the cost of the rental approximately 50% higher than the rate I was quoted by Priceline. I will never use this company nor Allied Rental Car again in my lifetime.

The representatives were very nice. I received a prompt call from a very nice person after my complaint about my experience. I was refunded the extra $10.00 I had been charged to get me to the airport in time to catch my flight.Hidden charge - about $4.50 more than quoted by KAYAK. I had to pay $4+ for the inconvenience of waiting longer (they only run every 15 min) for a shuttle; than having to wait 15 mins for another pick up to take me to the car rental. The car was old and smelled. The carpeting was coming away from the floor.

AMPM was just bad newsThey mixed up my pick up time. I was scheduled to pick up my vehicle at 12 noon, they had me picking up at 2pm. She was adamant about this 2pm pick up time until I showed her my reservation on my phone. After this got worked out, she told me that they not only didn't have the vehicle I requested, they only had one vehicle on site- a gigantic minivan, which isn't ideal for city driving. When returning the vehicle they drop you off about a mile away from the shuttle because, in our driver's words "We don't pay to enter the parking lot" A mile walk carrying luggage at the end of the trip isn't how you want to end a trip.

Took me over 40 minutes to get a car. First car I got had broken trunk lock. Instead of replacing this car, stuff starts to guide me how should I close this trunk. Overall, if you want cheap car, this is the place to go. If you want normal service, I wouldn't recommend this place.

- everything was fast and to-the-point - i forgot my credit card and was able to rent with debit - i was able to provide proof of insurance for my car at home to avoid buying their insurance - price unbeatable- not a real con, but would be easier if you could take one shuttle to/from the office (but FYI you can get a drop-off at the terminal for a $10 fee)

Great priceI liked that the service was the cheapest I found for the weekend. I have rented out of LAX before and I have waited over 30 minutes to get the right shuttle to arrive. This shuttle went around pretty frequently, and you end up in a random lot but AMPM is there when you arrive, ready with your car. They take you back to the hotel where their office is and process your paper work. The process is pretty quick and the service is great.The cars could use a car wash, at least the one we got. It wasn't very dirty, and we did't mind it too much, its just when you rent a car you expect it to be clean. For the price and the service it's not too bad.

1) the listing said rental car pickup was offsite but it was not at the typical rental car lot - it was an annex that was basically a parking lot where vans came to pick you up. So you have to take a shuttle bus to the parking lot and then wait for the van to come pick you up. I waited 15 min at this lot. 2) they had a great text with info on how to get to the car but neither of the phone numbers on the text reached a person 3) the rate was great but they require collision insurance and require you to buy it from them if you cannot show proof of your collision insurance, basically doubling the cost of the rental. 4) while they had 3 people working, it took forever to get my car, probably because of the insurance info. If they communicated the insurance requirement ahead of time, people could be prepared 5) shuttle van takes you back to airport directly, however the driver was loading up when I got there to drop my car but he left without me. When he came back (10-15 min) he waited for the people dropping off their car.

They seem to have a fleet of only dodge chargers, which is probably as far from “green” as you can get and still be driving a car. The bad reviews that I found after I had made the reservation made me tense and suspicious all the way through the process. They wouldn’t accept my credit card rental car insurance and asked for my personal car insurance which is crazy sketch and I’m still trying to figure out how they are going to get me. The booking on kayak says unlimited miles but when you get there they say that’s only for tourists. Locals only get 200 miles. I treated that car with white gloves terrified that the smallest smudge would get me hit with a $400 repair fee (as many other reviewers have said happened to them). But you know what? If I hadn’t been so in edge going in, I’d say it all went smoothly. They have got to do a LOT to rehab their image and make their process look more transparent and trustworthy because the stress I had worrying about this rental is enough to make me pay more at enterprise or hertz.

It was almost a quick and easy check in before I was asked to show proof of insurance, which was not listed anywhere on my itinerary as needed materials. I wasted an hour until the shop closed arguing about my coverage and was pressured into purchasing local liability coverage. This place only had paper contracts, and felt like I got what I paid for. I wouldn't book again through them. The car they gave me was very nice, but it seems like people go to rent cars from them that are used for street racing? I had to sign a bunch of terms that I would not use the car for street racing, which seemed strange.

Honestly wouldn't not rent through green motion again, the service was fine but they have so many restrictions. The price was affordable but they charged fees for soo many things. And thier liability insurance it the highest I have ever paid. Then they charged more then what the price was supposed to be, I would use a different company and not deal with them again.

It was good experience….more control of social distancing with people (have someone monitor this especially during pandemic). Took an hour from getting in line to get car. Gentleman who checked me in did awesome job communicating with me being Deaf and patient. For Kayak, is to have direct number to call in case something happens to make change of dates or time. This was challenging as the car rental wouldn’t help and couldn’t make change of date due. Make your number available to call for such situation.

Advantage LAX from a management point of view was disastrous. Not only did they not have an SUV per our booking, it took over TWO HOURS to get from the kerbside outside the airport waiting for their shuttle bus, to completing the paperwork and being given the car. Would never use again.

Not the car I booked...Sat NAv was a waste of timeBrand new car Easy drop offWas a smaller model than booked - I booked a Jeep Cherokee or similar - got a Jeep Patriot which is considerably smaller. Added the GPS - waste of time! The signal constantly dropped out and then tried to re-route taking us off course. If we'd have followed the instructions we would never have got out of LA!

HorribleThe people at silver car were very friendly and nice and gave us a ride to another rental car service ( Hertz )I will never book with kayak again, there was no fine print stating that I had to be over the age of 22 so when we got to silver car with all of our luggge expecting to get a car we were turned down because of age requirements!!! There was also no way for me to get my 48$ back from what I put down on the rental because I booked through a 3rd party app. So yeah KAYAK y’all suck . Go to HERTZ

Hidden TermsThe car was new and clean.They rely on Carrentals.com which has a horrible customer service experience. I wanted to adjust my booking, but Carrentals.com insisted that U-SAVE policy would not allow it unless I booked another car with them. When I arrived to pick up my car, U-SAVE mandated that I purchase third party liability insurance from them as they don't accept Canadian or international insurance coverage. This consequently raised the cost of my rental by another $250. I will not use them again.

Fraud Alert!! This company is a scam.The numbers given on the reservation - one was the corporate HQ in Mississippi which didn't answer the phones and the local number was a disconnected Verizon wireless number. No shuttles despite advertisement, and when I took taxi to the address in the reservation there was no such business there. What the heck? This wasn't at any small airport, it was at LAX. Several hours later when I'm already in another company's rental car I got a call back from the HQ who said the reservation email must have had old phone number and address. As for the shuttle, they would have needed me to take a shuttle to a private parking garage telling them I'm using their lot and then crossing the street. That is shady as heck. Too bad for them I already listed this as a fraudulent/scam charge on my credit card. Lady at HQ said they would fight it, and I broke my cool and told them to suck an egg. Good luck getting your $32 from me.

2 types of insurance and the car still wasn't coveThe weather on the day of pick up was pretty good.The Alianz insurance I paid for during the online booking process only covered me for personal injury. When I arrived at U-save, I was forced to pay extra for the mandatory liability insurance required by the state of California. I had paid for two types of insurance and still had no cover on the actual car I was driving. I've rented cars through a number of companies in L.A and wasn't surprised to be screwed with the insurance. There's room in the market for a rental company with transperancy, maybe U-save could be the change.
