Pros: The price is ridiculously cheap.
Cons: The seats are tiny. No entertainment. Could not hear or understand the announcements.
Pros: Great entertainment options on the seat-back screen and bonus points for being able to watch while waiting on the ground for an hour and not having it shut down a half hour before landing.
Cons: Overall, a good experience, but we sat on the ground for an hour after boarding. Never got a clear explanation and flight attendant said she didn't know either.
The seat I was assigned to was completely warn out and my body was feeling it by the end of 8 hours of sitting.
Pros: Crew, speed of boarding, timelines
Cons: Food, entertainment, space
Cons: Baggage charge I was not aware of
Pros: Movies and game console in the back of every chair loaded with several different movies and games and individually selected by each passanger.
Cons: We thought we booked our flights with baggag... turns out we did not. It turns out, Aer Lingus charges $100 per bag at the airport.
Cons: Leg room entirely tooooo small . No one over 5’5” could possibly feel comfortable .
Pros: FLIGHT WAS EARLY DEPARTING
FLIGHT WAS SMOOTH
Cons: FLIGHT ATTENDANT WERE OVERLY CHATTY AND SERVICE WAS INATTENTIVE. NO SECOND BEVERAGE SERVICE. LONG WAIT FOR TRASH COLLECTION. THE FREE WIFI DOES NOT WORK - MY IPHONE KEEPS SAYING THAT THE SERVER CANNOT BE REACHED OR DOES NOT RESPOND. THIS WAS THE SAME ON THE PREVIOUS FLIGHT. ATTENDANT PROMISED TO HELP BUT NEVER CAME BACK.
FLIGHT LANDED 35 MINUTES AND CALLED FOR MY RIDE - BUT PLANE WAS HELD IN TAXI WAY RESULTING IN ME AND MY RIDE BEING PUT ON HOLD FOR A LONG TIME. THERE WERE PLENTY OF OPEN GATES, BUT THE WORD FROM THE COCKPIT WAS THAT THEY WERE WAITING FOR ANOTHER PLANE TO DEPART.
Pros: Crew was very helpful when my wife became ill.
Cons: Seating was absolutely unacceptable. The reduced leg space makes any trip of longer than 30 minutes very, very uncomfortable. I am 6 feet one inch tall and it was very poor as to comfort. So much so I would not look at any airline with such spacing favorably for further business. Soon airlines will space themselves out of business for anyone taller than 5'1".
Cons: Should provide more water during the service
Pros: Shorter travel time, only 1 stopover.none
Pros: Lots of help at checkin.
Cons: Could not do online checkin.
Pros: Food and drinks were very good - a significant improvement over the flight from Hartford to Dublin.
Wonderful restful trip
Pros: Staff was friendly and the flight was very comfortable. Smooth landing too!
Cons: No complaints
Pros: Seating had more legroom than on other airlines.
Cons: Food was poor. Charged for wine. Other airlines provide wine at no charge on international flights. Did not offer coffee after dinner. Half and half included on dinner tray for the nonexistent coffee.
Never again
Cons: Plane was small for international flight, cabin was dirty. Food was horrible. Crew was pleasant but invisible. I also picked different seats and somebody switched them.
Flight atttendants excellent.
Pros: Enteretainment system good. The crew were efficient, professional and friendly. Excellent.
Cons: Seating cramped.
Phenomenal aircrew doing their best with an old rundown aircraft!
Pros: The service from check in to Landing were absolutely awesome. Those folks aren’t getting paid enough I’m sure.
If you’re going to take the Bradford, Hartford to Dublin flight get the best deal possible. It will make you feel better after the flight.
Cons: The plane is old and broken, comfort wise. My wife’s seat was broken and there is no way anyone could sit in that for six hours. Many tray tables were broke and you food slid into your lap. (Stewardesses knew this and were having passengers put pillows on their lap to prop up the tables. I also saw some issues with the overhead bins not closing/opening. There’s a reason this aircraft is on this route....it not a popular route but Aer Lingus can still squeeze some money out of it at the cost of passengers comfort.
Pros: This is a weird airline—they allow you to check a bag for free then make you pay 3 Euros for a cup of coffee. Compared to the $25-35 baggage fee US airlines charge, it’s a great bargain.
Cons: I had a 15 hour layover in Dublin and my bag was pulled for the Philadelphia flight, casing me to freak out at 1 am in Dublin when my bag didn’t come off the carousel. Aside from that the flight was fine. I paid the extra money for premium seat. I’d fly Aer Lingus again.
Pros: comfortable flight, excellent crew.
Cons: should not take 1.5 ours to check in luggage.
Cheap, fast and good
Pros: Friendly uncomplicated no nonsense approach to boarding
Cons: No complaints
Aer Lingus
Pros: The Black Cherry desert
Cons: Missed connecting flight and now stranded in Dublin
Pros: The convenience of flying from Hartford.
Cons: Seat cushion was not the most comfortable
Cons: No leg room, air temperature way too hot,
Flight delayed and no information about connecting flights
Pros: The food was ok
Cons: Flight was delayed. No information about what would happen on connecting flights. No information or help when arriving at Dublin airport. Ended up running 2 miles to get on connection.
Pros: seat was comfortable, Crew were very friendly and boarding was fast
Cons: purchased an even more speed seat but had to do special security check and this slowed the whole process of security screening down
Pros: l
Cons: Hey changed my flight to a new airport and I flew out of Boston. But upon arrival at Boston the next day they told me I didn’t have a seat because the booking was done wrong and now I was on standby. I waited 2 hours for a flight that I wasn’t able to get on and then waiting 4 hours for the next which I sat a middle seat in the back. I landed at my final destination over 24 past the original planned and paid for time.
Ok flight
Pros: Boarding on time and switching seats option
Cons: Seats very uncomfortable, disgusting food, not enough beverages / poor entertainment
Excellent as expected
Pros: Seat, polite crew, on time and smooth flight
Cons: Wish there was more beverage offers before and after dinner
No tv on long international flight; no water after asking twice
Pros: The flight was on time
Cons: The TV was broken and there wasn't any other free seat. I got no compensation for this unlike with other airlines.
The staff took forever to take away the food trays and garbages away. I asked for water when they offer tea and never got my water. They promised twice to bring it and never did.
Pros: very friendly crew
Cons: no overhead space for 4 of our carryon. my family had to store them under the seat in front of us for the 7.5 hour flight under tight seating conditions.
plus Aer Lingux lost 1 of our checked luggage’s.
Flight service
Pros: The crew was amazing and very accomodating.
Cons: The planes were a bit tight and the food was as to be expected
Pros: Entertainment options were great.
Cons: I wasn’t able to purchase food outside the designated time. The employee was sweet and can me a candy bar on the house. Great customer service.
Need to do something about the tray tables!
Pros: The stewards were very helpful and undertanding
Cons: The tray tables were a major problem!! If the seat in front was reclined, the tray table wouldn’t hold items on it. In some instances, the person in the seat in front of the person with tray table problems, that seat wouldn’t move totally forward to allow for correction!
Friendly staff!
Pros: Flight crew was very friendly and the gate agent switched my seat so that the middle seat was empty, which gave me more room!
Pros: I travel quite a bit and this is the third time with Aerlingus and by far the best airline with excellent excellent service
Pros: Like option of ordering meals.
Loved the people, hated the web check-in
Pros: These flights were actually on Aer LIngus. Food was great. Employees are fantastic and have a great, friendly attitude. Overall it was a great experience.
Cons: These flights were actually on Aer Lingus. The web check in was problematic. I booked two seats, for myself and my wife, and was assigned seats. When I went to check in I had 1 assigned seat, for myself, but my wife was unassigned. The seat next to me was not available. This made web check-in impossible. This is unnecessarily stressful, especially when you are traveling internationally. The next day at the airport, the agent at the Aer Lingus counter in Dublin was fantastic and solved the problem immediately, but the web check-in added unnecessary stress.
Great service on an old plane.
Pros: The crew were pleasant and friendly. On time departure and arrival which is always a bonus!!
Loved that we cleared customs/immigration in Dublin prior to arrival.
Cons: The plane needed to be retired. Seats weren’t comfortable (you could feel the frame of the seat), tray tables were broken and it just looked worn out. Food was okay, but let’s face it you don’t fly to eat the food :)
Pros: Kudos for Aer Lingus because they held the flight for us due to a late departure on the first leg of our journey. Food was above average (dinner on the cross-Atlantic trip). Got a very good fare and it was a round trip from Hartford, meaning we didn't have to drive to Boston or New York.
Cons: Seats very cramped. Veg food options had no sweets and salads were brown.
Seating is too close and uncomfortable
Pros: The cabin crew members were friendly and helpful.
Cons: The seating configuration is too close and tight. When seated, your knees touch the seat in front of you. There is no space to recline your seat. The seats are uncomfortable. There is no way to achieve a comfortable position to sleep on an overnight flight.
In addition, our row was directly across from one of the lavoratories. It felt like being on a budget bus/coach.
Pros: Entertainment options were great.
Cons: Seats were so flimsy and right next to bathroom traffic.
Excellent
Pros: I love to travel and travel quite a bit! In all honesty I would highly recommend Aerlingus as the best airline I have ever traveled! Excellent crew , comfortable, great food !!
Pros: Tv and movie selection was good. Easy boarding process.
Cons: Flight attendants were brusque and somewhat abrasive. Rigid rule following as compared to other airlines i.e. No headphones, upright seats, open windows during take off. Totally understand they are the rules but the way they were enforced felt condescending and rude. Broken mechanism on seat kept one from being compliant with maintaining chair in upright position during takeoff. Appreciated the blanket and pillow, but did not feel it was my responsibility to place the empty seat's pillow and blanket under the seat in front of it in preparation for take off. Also found the sales pitch (perfume, etc) at the end of the flight bizarre for an airline.
Pros: The food was tasty and the crew was polite
Cons: The boarding method was odd...by the time I got on, there was no cabin room for my bag. The people around me stuffed their larger cabin luggage under the seats. The food was served in the same manner I suppose since a few rows around me had received food and were done eating by the time I received mine. On top of it all, my tray was broken. The movie selection was old. Overall, it was okay..nothing super impressive
Mediocre
Pros: Flight was on time, boarding process was smooth
Cons: Indifferent to rude crew (from Hartford to Dublin also), terrible food, not enough water. Okay to have such service on budget airlines but then don't keep saying "welcome and tell us how we can help you"
Outdated plane
Pros: The crew was polite and helpful. Liked the fact that there wasn't tons of announcements during the flight to wake you up from sleep or interrupt the entertainment. Although the blankets smelled a little weird, it was nice having the blankets during the flight.
Cons: The plane was very outdated. The button for recliner was broken therefore malfunctioning. Didn't get a choice for food since the other option was out. The bathroom smelled like urine from the get-go. When I went in the second time, there was wads of toilet paper stuck in the toilet.
Pros: Almost everything. The food on the return trip, while very good seemed to me to be geared for native Irish taste.
Cons: The performance of your partner airline, Jet Blue, was terrible. Our vacation was close to being changed radically by the flight to Boston . It was delayed, then cancelled. It was only through the efforts on just one Jet Blue employee that arranged for a direct flight from JFK to Shannon Airport.
Pros: Food was good
Cons: Very cramped seating-- so tight I had a hard time getting to my bag on the floor.
Convenience
Pros: Lived flying in and out of BDL!
Cons: Tv unit in my seat only got a few channels not all and bathroom near seat was out of order and smelly
Cancelled?
Cons: Four hours down to Logan, and the flight was cancelled. No email, no nothing. Went to check in and there was no flight. They rebooked me on BA, but gave me no flight information. I had to go from Terminal B to Terminal E, only to find that the BA desks didn't open for three hours, so I got to wait to find out what flight get I was on until someone finally showed up.
Of course, once I got through BA check in, it was all right.
Luggage delay
Cons: Airline lost nearly a quarter of the planes luggage.
Cons: cost very high for emergancy with so many empty seats left going to dublin
Cons: I requested a vegan meal well in advance. However, there was only a vegetarian meal available -- which contained dairy products. In my experience, a vegetarian will eat a vegan meal, but not the other way around. Also, it would be helpful to list all the ingredients for the crew to access.
Pros: Everything went smoothly.
Cons: Received wrong persons boarding pass at the gate. Did not find out untill tried to pass thru security. Had to go back to check-in.
Pros: The flight was on time, very comfortable, good service,
Cons: Not a thing
Cons: Only 3 bathrooms for all of these people.
