Terrible. I was charged $75 for a checked bag when I only had a carry on. The lady at the desk said she couldn’t refund me the money and that I had to call westjet. I called the next day and they said they couldn’t refund me because there is no way to prove I didn’t have a checked bag.
WestJet employees were not properly informed about where my luggage was going causing extreme confusion and almost made me miss my flight
WestJet continues to live up to budget airline status. The flight crew were not particularly friendly and just were not attentive. We were served cold meals, not initially given any cutlery, and served wrong beverage orders. Seats are not comfortable, especially for long haul flights, and there is basically no offered in/flight entertainment. Fortunately they did have a WiFi service which did seem to work for streaming and connecting kids tablets, but if you were not prepared you were left scrambling. Mix that in with the strike concerns leading up to flights, it made for a less than ideal flight (especially when comparing it to similar class in Air Canada for the outbound flight). Third flight with WestJet but not necessarily planning on booking again.
First time flying WestJet airlines and it was a wonderful experience!

Terrible decision to take a night flight. Not enough time to sleep and premium seat has no foot rest ao couldn’t get comfortable!

20+imite delay on the plane with no air. Part of our group had no seats assigned and took a long time to get fixed. Again no wifi and snacks were sad
Fine except for a delay that resulted in our missing the final leg of our flight.
Flight booked from Montreal via Toronto to Huatulco. Toronto to Huatulco flight was cancelled, lost one day of vacation in Toronto waiting for next flight. Flight from Huatulco to Toronto delayed, missed connection to Montreal. Westjet counter closed. No hotel, no connection flight for 4 days to Montreal to finish the journey. I shall go to Small Claims Court to get compensation for all these troubles. Westjet never again.
The old business class seat was fine but screens were disconnected with stickers on them telling pax to use their own devices. Disappointing.
The best thing about the flight was the cabin crews in the business class. The young Asian lady was just fantastic!
The couscous wasn't good, and neither was the salad.
Kept me waiting for hours with the excuse of aircraft needed to cool down and then cancelled.
Well I had insisted to be put on standby because I knew there was one seat so there should have been another. There was, seat 36AC for both of us, the last row in the plane that does not recline nor does it have any room in the overhead bin because of plane necessities. The bathroom right behind so a line up with people's bums on your arm rests, etc. We were happy to get a flight earlier because of the missed connection, but we saw flight people who were sitting in customer seats and I felt we should have been seated there and they should have been put in the back. Plus the stewardesses were wearing so much perfume, I had to hold my nose because of a severe allergy to perfume.
Air Canada was delayed on the initial flight causing us to be put on another flight that took us to a different airport that did not have our connecting flight. We had to rebook the flight from Tokyo to Bangkok when we arrived after clearing customs. We spent and additional 8 hours because of this. Return flight was also delayed on departure but we were able to make or connecting flight in Tokyo. The business seats need improvement, the seats are a bit hard for such a long flight.
It’s a good airline. Polite service and good communication.
The trip was very smooth; the seat was quite comfortable, and the food was excellent and tasty.
We ran into trouble in Montreal. Exited the plane and Air Canada was excellent getting everyone quickly to their destinations. I give Air Canada a 100%.
I was notified 8 hours before that my flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues and they would let me know when they put me on a new flight. Didn’t hear back for 6 hours and was never notified and had to log into the app to find out I was put on a new flight. First time flying with air Canada and won’t fly with them again.
