I can't say enough about how wonderful that flight was..Aer Lingus was a big disappointment and a poor substitute for BA. Very unsatisfied customer!"

Cons: "Aer Lingus partners with UNITED for the Newark-Orlando leg. Flight was overbooked by 20 people and another 20 were on standby. My luggage didn't travel with me so it didn't arrive in Orlando when I did. I was fortunate that it made the next flight so I only had to wait an hour. Some fellow Irish passengers weren't so lucky."

Cons: "The problem I had is that this was not a British Airways flight, nor were my flights to Dublin. I was not aware of this. When I checked in online I was allowed to check in with British Airways, so I had no idea that this was an Aer Lingus flight, which is in a different terminal with a different flight number. My phone didn't work in Ireland so it was extremely difficult figuring out where I should have been. If I was on a different airline that is affiliated with British Airways, and I booked through British Airways, there should be some way of looking up where I should be going. Also, any emails about my trip should have told me which airline I was on. I fly often, and often to other countries. This was the most confusing and difficult flying experience (the entire trip -- getting to and from Dublin) I have ever had."

Cons: "We arrived in Toronto from Dublin to get our connecting flight with two very tired children and were told by Air Canada that our connecting flight was never booked by Aer Lingus. We were told that the flight we were supposed to be on was full and there was no flights until the next morning. To top it off Air Canada could not locate our baggage and we were told to wait around and check back every half hour. If was past two in the morning Dublin time and our kids were exhausted and fell esleep in the airport. We could not wait around any longer with exhausted children so we booked a hotel and took our kids there without our luggage. Our kids were crying because our baggage was lost and thus was a shitty way to end our vacation and my birthday! Would not recommend flying with Aer Lingus or Air Canada. Horrible service."

Wished they had wider tea selection."

The attendants managed to find me a veg meal, but not my husband. This was totally unacceptable on a 12 hour flight!!!! and we had trouble getting the meals on this return flight too, even though i had called and confirmed they were available. When we got the food the quality was poor. The seats were extremely uncomfortable and the smallest seats I have yet to encounter, and I do a lot of flying. My back is still hurting."

Pros: "Connecting through Dublin to the US, you go through US customs in Dublin. This means you don't need to go through after landing in the US which makes it easier. Only issue is that there are fewer amenities after go through US PreClearance in Dublin. Make sure to do any shopping and eating before going through PreClearance. The entertainment system makes the time go by quicker with a good selection of viewing choices. Each passenger gets their individual entertainment system."

The check in never registered online although the luggage did and I was forced to pay 45 euro at the airport to CHECK IN. You go in wanting a budget flight and they take you for all your money. The flights are cramped and seats small. Which is fine if you've paid 10-30 euros (flight with luggage) but their added other costs are a disgusting attack on budget travelers!"

Cons: "First, I tried to check-in online but their system was down. I outsmarted them because I took several screen shots of different timelines. When I checked-in at their counter, they wanted to charged me €40. The lady wouldnt believe me when I told her that I tried to checkin online for 2 hours but their system was down. That's when I showed her the photo of the screen shot, she called someone on the phone telling him or her of the situation and that I have proof of screenshots. They finally allowed me to check-in with no fee. Second, When I dropped my 3 luggages, they wanted to charge me for my 2 check luggage allowances. I told the lady that I bought online for 3 luggages allowances,but their system only showed that I only bought one. It took several minutes for them to realized that I was right. Third, maybe because of my lack of sleep and tired of travelling for over a month, i left my shoulder bag under the seat of the plane. My fiancee's and my passports as welk.as £500, smart tablet,camera,credit cards,jewelries and other personal belongings were inside my bag. That day was the last day of our 40days vacation. When I got outside of the terminal, that's when I realized that I left my bag on the plane. I went quickly to Ryan air desk but the lady told me that we have to go to the lost item counter and wait for my bag to show up. I waited the whole afternoon at the lost item counter and the lady there told me to just call them and ask if my bag has showed up. When I got to the hotel, I called the airline for rebooking on my flight back to my country. I went back the next day to the airport,but my bag has not showed up at the lost item counter. I was able to get the contact numbers of Ryan air in-charge of this matter. I requested someone to call the person in cbarge,telling him that my bag couldnt be lost because of strict security inside the airport, after a long wait,they finally said they found my bag. I waited 1 hour for Ryan air staff to turn over my bag to the lost item coiunter. When I finally got my bag, there were only £40 left in my bag and a piece of jewelly was missing. I will fly back to my country today and I will file a formal complain with Ryan air as well as write the CEO or President of Ryan air of the way he runs the business. I'm glad I got back our passports but the whole world should know about how Ryan air run their business. PLEASE,.STAY AWAY FROM RYAN AIR."

Boarding messy as no seat order called hence isles blocked, most planes load back seats first keeping isles free, this plane had back & front stair gangways but weren't told."

Cons: "But this budget airline feels so in every sense. Boarding is from Tarmac, even coffee or tea costs checked bag, and weight limits are low, boarding is chaotic, no flight entertainment... By the time we paid for all our bags and did the whole dance of moving items from bag to bag to meet limits, we could have probably picked a better airline and had more comfort. They have a policy to charge for musical instruments, and even though there was space, on our return flight we were forced to check it, which we mostly try to avoid for safety of instrument...the way out no issue, the way back we got a stickler. Overall, for single travelers who don't care where you sit and just have a small bag, go for it. Trying to shoehorn a family of four plus instrument led to several up charges and annoying encounters at airport. I'll avoid next time."

Got stuck with a 45€ fee per person. They also claimed that a tiny meal was included, so we ordered paninis, only to be charged 10€ per sandwich. Ridiculous. And they have the gall to claim to be the "low fare airline"--never again will we fly with Ryanair."

We and about 11 other passengers were turned away for the same reason. We had to get completely out of the airport go through customs, security and check in ALL OVER AGAIN and be charged an extra $150. When we told the airport personnel what was happening they couldn't believe it. We missed the flight and got charged extra! DO NOT FLY WITH THEM! They will look for any reason to take your money!"

Pros: "I about got what I paid for and Ryan does have some good prices. I am not limited to specific dates so I can usually shop for a price that matches what little I expect to receive. Ryan is far better than Jet Blue, Iberia Express and Easy Jet for carry on luggage. I won't fly those others regardless of price - their additional charges for my purse-sized bag of medical equipment would have cost me more than the ticket while others were allowed to take larger bags of airport-ripoff-junk from "duty free" shops at no charge. Fortunately I had time before my early morning flight to unpack and throw away clothes and a leather bag before my flight. Ryan rates better than those companies."
Cons: "Most of the staff are only civil to you if you are giving them money or are getting on or off the plane. They don't act like they like their jobs. The employer is usually the reason for that and the customer usually suffers the consequences. Everyone involved can see the elephant in the room except managers and corporate heads (who are usually too full of themselves to think rationally about where the money comes from.) The seating is uncomfortable enough that I can't take a flight over two or three hours. Fortunately I havent had too. I have low expectations and am rarely surprised. Like buying trinkets from China, the cheaper the product the higher the profit ratio. I still buy so I guess I feel I am getting what I pay for."

Since we had no wifi or cell service while traveling to check in, we had to pay the extra. Then every person along the way is unfriendly, unhelpful and sometimes outright rude. Pay the extra for a better airline. They end up getting it from you in extra charges anyway. Not even a free drink of water on the flight. And the last half of the flight they kept trying to get us to buy lotto tickets. I will never fly this terrible airline again."
