This was so rude and there is no way to get back into customs area. If we paid 200 for bags I expect them to arrive on time. I’m asking for a refund of the baggage fees."

So, regardless of whether you book your tickets 3 months in advance or the day before, you're not actually guaranteed a seat unless you check in online. We weren't told this until we were at the airport and checked in there that we might not be able to get our pre-booked in advance flight because of over-booking from KLM. We then had to wait and see if there were seats available when boarding. Luckily, there were, but we were not sat together. Not the greatest start to our first holiday together as a couple. We were told that if there weren't seats available, they'd pay for us to get to another airport to fly out, which would have meant a huge delay on the only time off we'd get together this year and have to rearrange our pre-booked and pre-paid living arrangements for the week. All because there wasn't a lot of emphasis on the need to check in online before hand. You'd think if someone checked in at the airport, that would be more of a guarantee that they'd be flying with you that day, but apparently not. Definitely not impressed or happy with this part of the KLM experience. This is the only company that we've had this problem with, they should make it clearer that it is essential to check in online."

I pressed the call button to get the flight attendant's attention, and no one came for an hour and a half! They saw the light above my seat, but they just kept walking past me! I raised my hand to get their attention, but they ignored me and walked right past me! I appreciate the fact that they were trying everything they could do to help me out, but when they started ignoring me every time I asked them for help...that was just rude and my anxiety began to rise! Worst flight experience I have ever encountered."

I can't say enough about how wonderful that flight was..Aer Lingus was a big disappointment and a poor substitute for BA. Very unsatisfied customer!"

When I checked in online I was allowed to check in with British Airways, so I had no idea that this was an Aer Lingus flight, which is in a different terminal with a different flight number. My phone didn't work in Ireland so it was extremely difficult figuring out where I should have been. If I was on a different airline that is affiliated with British Airways, and I booked through British Airways, there should be some way of looking up where I should be going. Also, any emails about my trip should have told me which airline I was on. I fly often, and often to other countries. This was the most confusing and difficult flying experience (the entire trip -- getting to and from Dublin) I have ever had."

Cons: "We arrived in Toronto from Dublin to get our connecting flight with two very tired children and were told by Air Canada that our connecting flight was never booked by Aer Lingus. We were told that the flight we were supposed to be on was full and there was no flights until the next morning. To top it off Air Canada could not locate our baggage and we were told to wait around and check back every half hour. If was past two in the morning Dublin time and our kids were exhausted and fell esleep in the airport. We could not wait around any longer with exhausted children so we booked a hotel and took our kids there without our luggage. Our kids were crying because our baggage was lost and thus was a shitty way to end our vacation and my birthday! Would not recommend flying with Aer Lingus or Air Canada. Horrible service."

My carry on bag had to be stored in the bottom of the aircraft as the overhead lockers in the aircraft are small. As such - just before you board the aircraft, you place your carryon bag at the bottom of the steps and then when you get off at your destination, you collect your carry on bag at the bottom of the steps - no time wasted and worked easily."

Three pieces of luggage came 2 days later that we had to go back to airport to get. The fourth was delivered one week later with only 3 wheels!"

Cons: "Flight was canceled, no option given to rebook over the phone or at another desk. I waited 6 hours in the airport to get my flight rebooked for the following day. Cancelations happen but there was no plan in place, to manage such a situation. We were offered no compensation except free chips 5 hours into the wait. I've never had a worse experience with an airline."

Cons: "First of all, the website is laid out in such a way that it's easy to make unnessasarry additional purchases. We ended up purchasing seats at the very back of the plane. We were unable to print our boarding tickets prior to checking in at the airport and after waiting in line for help, were directed to self help computers that we had to pay-to-use. These were not working and after lining up for help several more times (to get change to pump into the computers etc...) and sending off a 'chat help request we finally left and got a different clerk. While this second clerk was telling us we'd have to pay for her help, someone else overheard our challenges and took over from the clerk, printed our boarding tickets at no further charge and got us on our way. While we certainly appreciate the service at the end, it should never have come to that."

Found out during boarding they were checking bags for free...should have done carry on and avoided the extra costs."

We were in the two hour window of time and would have been able to. We were shifted from line to line to line. Very disappointed. Unfortunately having to pay the 90 euro completely ruined the entire flight."
Cons: "I am a musician traveling with a guitar. The staff was extremely rude and not accomodating when it came to treatment of my instrument. I was not even allowed to attempt to bring my guitar on the plane. I was told it was a full flight but after I was forced drop the guitar and borded the aircraft I not only found that there was ample room in the overhead bins for it but there were some no shows and plenty of extra seating which was used to store luggage too large for the overheads. I asked the flight attendant if I could retrieve my instrument so it could go on the plane and was told no. It is apparently much easier to travel with golf clubs than a musical instrument on Ryanair. Never again."
