Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Pros: "It was affordable"
Cons: "Customer service"
Pros: "Took off on time"
Cons: "Random seat allocation due to not paying the extra fee?"
Pros: "Service and comfort means ryanair"
Pros: "Ryanair still don’t have enough leg room for taller people. Very uncomfortable. Cheap but not that cheerful if you’re over 6 ft"
Cons: "More leg room or exit seats for taller people"
Pros: "Seat was fine considering the cost."
Cons: "Ok but i accidentally started queuing in the priority queue and was told that i needed to be in the other queue, even though i was there very early on. I think i should have been allowed to join the other queue at the same spot but went to the back of the other queue. Apart from that it was fine"
Pros: "Perfect timing."
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "Online Check-in early"
Cons: "flight takeoff was delayed by an hour. No explanation was given at all"
Pros: "Quick boarding"
Cons: "I didn’t like the fact that there are lots of hidden fees, with the seat, luggage, etc. It is true that the ticket is cheap but paying the hidden fees adds up to the cost."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Seating uncomfortable, don’t even serve water, charge money to check in 3 days early and for some strange reason they charged 100€ for standard carry ones manufactured by Samsonite for international travel because it didn’t fit in their standard cubby ... the same carry ones they allowed from London to Stansted became a tad too big on return . They remind me of US traffic police that start giving tickets on tiny issues st the end of the month to make their quota . Also many people in the line had bags exactly our size"
Pros: "Cheap & Cheerful, as usual"
Cons: "Delayed Boarding Delayed Taxi Delayed dis-embarking (no dispatcher) just two bus drivers and no unloading of cases o those with mobility issues"
Pros: "It was a stress free journey. Which I will be doing at least 4 more times this year"
Cons: "I cannot think of anything. Except you can't buy duty free cigarettes on the trip anymore"
Pros: "The plane was so empty, we were allowed to change seats so I sat by a window seat and had the whole row to myself! Also, the plane was warmer than usual, which was kinda nice."
Cons: "It was delayed by 40 minutes."
Pros: "I had a good flight either way. Some turbulence, what you might call 'a controlled crash landing' on the way back to Stansted."
Cons: "The price of the flight. I normally am able to secure a return flight for about 100 euros. This time I got a quote for 300 plus for a return flight. Going through an affiliated site helped me to get a slight reduction on the flight. I find it odd that on a Thursday or a Tuesday the cost can be 12.99 pound either way and yet on a weekend this goes up to a silly amount. The flight is still the same. I am still going to the same place. Having to book three months in advance to avail of a cheaper ticket is of no use to me. The girl checking us in on the outward journey had her back to us the entire time when making an announcement for boarding. She looked like she was sucking sour sweets. No friendliness about her at all. Passengers using overhead spaces different to where they are sitting. That's really irritating."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "All"
Pros: "Cheap"
Cons: "Delay"
Pros: "Predictability. With international travel, there are many stations to be met. My flight with Ryanair provided predicable travel with transfers in mind and courteous professional service.I felt safely cared for. thank you"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Haven't received a response to my late flight from London to Dublin from Ryan Air- flight Fr143"
Cons: "Our flight was significantly delayed and we as passengers received zero communication about time of delay and when we were expecting to depart. The lack of communication was frustrating"
Cons: "The seats were very small and my middle seat's foam was flat enough that I felt like I was sitting on a metal bar."
Pros: "I only had an hour to grab my luggage and my next boarding pass. I made it to my flight with over ten minutes to spare."
Pros: "Short flighy"
Cons: "Charge you for everything under the sun. Breath wrong and it will cost you €50"
Pros: "Flight attendant was friendly."
Cons: "You can't check any bag for free. They make you check-in small carry on suitcase that would have been able to be carried on at other airlines. Each check in bad cost 35 euros. So don't be fulled by the cheap tickets. Between my son and I, we checked in three bags. You have to pay for the check-in bags at a different location, which almost made us late for our flight. Plus they fly to STN airport which is far away from the center of London. It costs 120 pounds to get to our hotel from this airport."
Cons: "Got to my seat on the plane and it was covered with potato chip crumbs left behind by the previous flight's passengers and obviously not cleaned. Got harassed and threatened by the gate attendant while boarding because I didn't have a Visa check stamp on my boarding pass even though I had visited check-in and was not given one."
Cons: "They made me go through a lot of runaround -- three different lines -- to get a boarding pass and I had to pay £15 for it."
Cons: "Only use this airlines, if you don't have any luggage, if you don't care about reaching somewhere on time, if you don't care that every single step there is an extra cost. I plan to NEVER use this airlines again."
Pros: "Once I was on the plane I fell asleep so it was a good ride."
Cons: "When we got to the airport no one was willing to help me which ended up costing me an extra £100. I was so upset and no one even showed the slightest care. Im never flying ryanair again."
Cons: "that we need the Ryan Air app and can't print our boarding passes at the airport."
Cons: "Ryanair is really pretty bad at the customer one on one model. They DO NOT WANT TO HELP AT ALL !! it just seems to me if you are in customer service you should understand that people who travel from other countries are helping with your economy,YOUR JOB, If you don't fit the model move on,find something else to do in your life. Don't make me feel like I owe you, really you owe me a easy time getting through all the troubles of your airline. If some one from the airline reads this you should play under cover and see what i mean ,act as a person who needs help, does not understand your accent .you just really are bad !!"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Snobby customer service rep that charged us 15 to print boarding pass when their site was down and would let us view our boarding passes. (When we had previously checked in and seen them online)"
Cons: "Late departure"
Pros: "Good price - the plane was clean and appeared well maintained."
Cons: "The airlines does nickle and dime you on other fees. I find it annoying that you need to print your boarding pass at home (or incur a fee) and still stand in line at the desk to check your boarding pass. We found it worth the extra fee for priority boarding. It improves the experience."
Pros: "But not in a great way! Seat was pretty comfortable. Flight arrived on time."
Cons: "It was a loud booze cruise flight from Dublin to Malaga. Very happy Irish holiday makers. it was loud but the passengers mostly were good sorts. The flight attendants were pretty rude--never excusing themselves or apologizing for pushing past people. The toilet in the front was disgusting. NO HaNDSOAP. Told attendant--no soap, she said. Very nasty situation. i think it will be my only Ryanair trip."
Pros: "The flight was on time, I paid the extra for the seat at the front which got priority boarding, and there were empty seats at the front of the plane. I was out of there as soon as the plane landed. Just close your eyes and it will all be over soon."
Cons: "People were lining up 15 minutes before boarding and the boarding process was more like a rugby scrum as everyone piled into the back of the plane. The food was pretty mediocre and not cheap, but there was nothing to purchase in the airport terminal."
Cons: "Terrible customer service. Rude people working."
Pros: "The flight was okay."
Cons: "One of the attendants was very rude to my group leaving Ireland. We had previously checked in to our flight but didn't have our boarding passes printed. Instead giving us direction, she sent us away to figure out how to get our boarding passes in an airport we had been in."
Pros: "Actual flight was fine once we took off."
Cons: "Flight was delayed 2 hours. Clearing border control prior to lining up at gate is chaotic."
Cons: "Gum and candy wrappers stuck in the sides of the seat. Crew spoke poor English. Co-fliers were loud, drunk and unruly."
Pros: "For the price I paid the flight was quick. On time. The staff was really polite and the plane was clean. Definitely would fly with them again on short trips and would recommend them to friends and family."
Pros: "Cheap"
Cons: "over head was so small could not get bag in that was perfectly fine on other flights. And it is the only airline that we had to go to verify passport . All other did it while we were in line."
Pros: "Cheap, efficient, works!"
Cons: "Customer service is just bad. We had to self check in and self drop bag. We intentionally went to a lady to help us she said "this is self check in and you have to do it alone", in the process we had a mistake so she asked "why did you do that, the machine told you not to" - that's exactly how you should NOT treat your customers. We thought our luggage will not arrive - and she was rude and stressing us out. 0/10 for her"
Cons: "The crew had to rush the announcements and introduction because of time restraints, this made it unintelliagable. The safety part was fine"
Pros: "We bought Ryanair because of the great price. However, they do charge extra for everything and fly from an airport that's an hour away from London. If you count all the extra cost Ryanair is far more expensive than any other airline"
Cons: "Price"
Pros: "The whole process went smoothly"
Cons: "Temperature changes very contrasting. Ok in terminal, boiling hot waiting on staiwell, cool walk to plane."
Pros: "It was short so there wasn't much to do, no screens or anything but that was fine. I thought it was great."
Cons: "I think it was a bit overcrowded. There wasn't a lot of space for people and some had to put their bags at the back of the plane."
Cons: "The cabin was a little dirty."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Ryan air's cold blooded policies"
Cons: "We did not know when we bought the tickets that there is a $45 dollar fee for checking in at the airport. We received a reminder email in our inbox a few hours prior to our flight, but we were already traveling and our WIFI access was limited, so we did not see it. It cost an extra $90 dollars to check in and a bit of stress as we were attempting to check in before the two hour mark using the airport internet that was spotty. We ended up missing our checkin by minutes, and had to pay. It was like being on one of those timed amazing race shows. $90 dollars!!! Won't do that again."
Pros: "Regular stuff. Mostly good."
Cons: "Leg space was littered with pieces of crisps. Perhaps it is cleaned only once a day and not in between flights."
Pros: "Flight out was perfect"
Cons: "I didn't like the 4 hour delay and diversion to Birmingham due to the runway at Stansted!!!"
