Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "AC needs to be on as the cabin was extremely warm on entering"
Pros: "Seat not too cramped. We didn't get lost - as BA flight did recently!"
Cons: "Flight was delayed! Info re delay was limited."
Cons: "Late takeoff - late arrival"
Pros: "Quick flight, low cost."
Cons: "Didn’t follow the rules with the checked bag as was unclear. No problem, but staff member aggressively explaining over and over when understood the first time. Would rather have just been charged than getting and ear bashing. Staff were main problem, not particularly friendly. Fault with plane?"
Pros: "It was on time"
Cons: "No back steps when landed To long to disembark"
Pros: "I got an email from Kayak letting me know that my flight was delayed from Shannon to Stansted I received the email at approx 23:00 the night before the 07:00 morning flight The email told me the flight was 3&1/2 hrs late Ryanair let me know at 0750 on the day 10 mins before take off A joke So thank god for kayak what an app Brilliant keep up the good work 3rd Jan 2019 flight FR102"
Cons: "Ryanair would have let me stand around for 3 1/2 hours Then told of the flight problem Thanks Kayak"
Cons: "have to pay 55 euro’s for checkin .... crew very rude at the desk"
Pros: "I liked that I didn't feel squashed and this is about it."
Cons: "I disliked the fact that our flight was delayed and we weren't notified about it. I disliked that we got told there was a problem with the engine but they didn't allow us to either get off the plane or change plans we just sat there as they ran test after test. Asking us to sit down for them to see if the engine is working okay. They asked a member of the public who was sat by the wing to keep an ear out for any funny noises. We stayed on the runway for an hour and a half after it was already delayed. Once we set off in fear that the engine might fail again Ryanair didn't even off us a free glass of water to show appreciation for peoples tolerance. It honestly isn't worth the money you save."
Cons: "Should be more information instead of waiting around airport They must know when a planes going to be late"
Pros: "This flight issues were so plentiful they provided me with knowledge on how not to run an airline."
Cons: "5 X delays, Incompetent pilot, No organisation of ground crew 2.5hr late"
Pros: "The flight crew were friendly when we finally got on the plane 3 hours late"
Cons: "3 hours late getting on the plane at Shannon and 45 mins waiting on tarmac waiting to be ready to disembark"
Pros: "On time departure and arrival Cheap low fares Effiencent helpful staff"
Cons: "Expensive water on board"
Pros: "Boarding was ahead of schedule, but we waited on the runway for a long time. Checking in via an app is great too."
Cons: "The seats are uncomfortable, the application of the baggage policy is inflexible & difficult, there are no places to put your things and having seating assigned randomly when you travel with someone is ridiculous. I love discount airlines, but being charged for things that would make me happier while not costing the airline a penny is too far. Ryanair gets your initial business with artificially low rates and then nickle-and-dimes you until you pay at least as much as you would by just going with an honest carrier that charges normal prices up front. I am tired of being messed about when there are equivalently priced carriers that aren't such shysters."
Pros: "The most relaxed Ryanair flight I have ever been on"
Pros: "Boarding and flying time very good"
Cons: "Noisy passengers (stag party and 40birthday)"
Pros: "The crew were very friendly and very helpful with my sister struggling with her baggage due to her breaking her arm a few weeks ago. The crew on the ground at Shannon and on-board the flight could not do any more for us."
Cons: "The seating arrangements whereby we had to pay extra to sit together despite us booking the three tickets all at the same time. Ryanair are over-charging their customers with these hidden charges which are only declared at the check-in stage"
Pros: "Loved the speed and efficiency of everything; we arrived from Dublin to Gatwick 25 minutes early. Plenty of opportunity for inflight purchases for such a small flight which was great!"
Pros: "Boarded from gate beside the executive lounge."
Pros: "Got an extra leg room seat when asked for it"
Cons: "Late arriving got of plane was left waiting when asked when the bus to terminal we were told it's wierd it's Stansted airport"
Cons: "Ground staff made final boarding call too soon. Had to rush from the lounge only to find no passengers had left the terminal steps to walk to the plane to board."
Cons: "No flight announcement at Dublin airport so missed flight"
Cons: "Very long walk on landing"
Pros: "Staff is young and energetic! Beat crew on trip so fat and we've been on three other planes."
Cons: "Seats are eat too close if you are, tall. The landing was a,3,out of 10."
Pros: "Great Flight. Great Staff"
Cons: "Customer service"
Cons: "Slow, uncomfortable system of mass boarding."
Pros: "Always travel Ryan air when possible just returned from Italy having flown with them so was disappointed when we were just left hanging around with this flight"
Cons: "Not being told what was happening having people waiting at stanstead paying for parking"
Cons: "Flight was very late.(over 2 hours) Notices not posted timeously No meal tokens offered, or anything else to soften the irritation Boarding and offloading by stairs into the rain - cheapest possible options."
Pros: "We didn't crash"
Cons: "Our flight was late to take off, and had to queue for 30 minutes at Shannon - before the plane had even landed. At stansted then had to get a long bus to the terminal and wait on the bus for 10 minutes because they couldn't open the doors. Luckily after a sprint to the station we made the last stansted express of the evening (£28 return each - 'London' airports for you)"
Cons: "Sitting 10 rows from my wife"
Pros: "On time"
Cons: "Hard seats"
Cons: "The customer service agent was horribly rude. When asked her name, because she wasn't wearing a name tag, she said "Oh, you'd like my name? I'll be sure to write it down for you." I never ended up getting her name, but the way she treated me and my fiancé - as two customers that were very much over paying - was inappropriate and unprofessional. Never again will I fly RyanAir."
Pros: "Crew were polite."
Cons: "Flight was delayed 1 1/2 hours. There was no announcement that there was a delay or explanation.. The Priority boarding is very poorly organised . when we were finally let out onto the tarmac there was a mad scramble by the non priority customers to get to the plane although the one lady in charge did control things to a degree I might add that at Gatwick going to Belfast the Priority boarding was a joke. If you are going to make customers queue in the corridor please put a sign up outside to indicate the you dont't have to queue"
Cons: "We have never flown Ryan Air before and are not from Europe. We booked or flight one day prior to the flight and were shocked to show up at the airport and pay 90 euro to check in at the airport. This is simply a price gouge. I understand a small, nominal fee for this but not 90 euro! That is asinine. I will purposely avoid Ryan Air in the future as this leaves a bad taste in my mouth."
Cons: "I was told next time I have to be careful with my carry-on because I'd have to pay £50 otherwise. However, my carry-on is TSA approved, it has a lot of pockets so it may appear to be a bit bigger but I don't overstuff and I've had no issue getting my bag into the overhead bin. Granted, the officer was kind when she said it, but I also measured my bag and weighed it before my flight and I shouldn't feel there should be an issue with my bag. On my return flight I had souvenirs in my bag (meaning more in my SAME bag) and no one said a word about my carry-on."
Pros: "The price was fantastic! the best around :)"
Cons: "There was no notification from cabin crew to advise us to ensure we collect our luggage BEFORE we go through the glass doors at Gatwick. We were expecting to show our passport and collect our luggage from the carrousel but didn't realise until after we went through the glass doors and had to wait over 40 mins for it to be brought to us. What was so astonishing- we were told we weren't the only ones this happened to. It would be very useful if cabin crew made the passengers aware of this to avoid it happening time after time with others/flights"
Pros: "Timings, the plane was fine for the short journey we had."
Cons: "The boarding process and difficulty in hearing the crew member as he had a very strong Eastern European accent"
Pros: "Price - boarding was good, especially considering plane was full."
Cons: "Punctuality - about 40 mins late both ways - I kinda factor that in now!!"
Pros: "On time, great price."
Cons: "Cold breeze when I can out of the Terminal building!"
Pros: "The price was right. ...at least until I figured out that my checked bag cost twice as much as my airfares ticket!"
Cons: "I think maybe I should have flown on Aer Lingus instead. Next time I will do more research. Absolutely nothing is free on Ryan. The only free thing is your carry on bag. Food, drinks, prearranged seat assignment, etc. all cost money."
Pros: "The flight was relatively on time and fairly smooth."
Cons: "I don't like the fact that you have to pay extra for EVERYTHING! For a boarding pass, for any luggage (other than a small carry-on), for a seat assignment and for a cup of tea on the plane, The flight is relatively inexpensive, but you end up paying a lot of money for the"
Pros: "Ryan Air is the worst airline. They rip off unassuming people by exorbitant charges at the airport."
Cons: "The customer service is nonexistent and the companies policies ar designed to take advantage of customers."
Pros: ", bought a coffee & the male attendant told me how to use it . New filter lid"
Cons: "waiting to take off . Flight boarded early then we sat on plane . 12.50 flight & arrived just before 15.00."
Pros: "Cheap, quick, and safe flight."
Cons: "Because the tickets are so cheap, they try to get money out of you at every turn! They charged us $20 each to print our boarding passes at the airport (it wasn't enough to have them on our phones)! They make you pay to check a bag and you have to arrange it ahead of time (cannot ask to do it at the airport). They made a big fuss about the sizes of our bags and threatened to charge up to $55 per bag if they needed to check them at the gate! They have tiny compartments at the gate but our bags fit without any issues on the plane itself."
Cons: "the flight seemed full and therefore, since it was very much delayed, the ground crew set about getting people to check in their carry on bags. I'm not sure why we were chosen, since we were not at the end of the line, and some in front of us and behind us were not asked to check their bags (which were actually larger than ours). In he plane we were unhappy to realize that there was enough space overhead for our bags. Had to wait an extra 20-25 minutes in London after and already very late flight. So: not the best."
Pros: "The flight was very late and then the gate information came up almost as the flight was boarding."
Cons: "Lack of boarding information"
Pros: "The price"
Cons: "They will hit you for more money every chance they get. Checked baggage. Not printing boarding pass prior to getting to the airport."
