They had a massive storm in Sydney that delayed the departure of the plane from there but originally it was only going to be 15 mins then it was half hour then after two hours the plane had arrived and we went through to boarding lounge for about ten minutes only for them to say the flight was cancelled due to them running out of workers hours. Then they said they we all had to go find our own accommodation and they accept no responsibility as it was due to the weather. To top it all off they told us to be back by 7 only to find out they had already delayed that flight and didn't even tell anyone so we were all lined up and nobody knew what was going on
I wish it truly were Finnair instead of American: The seat, the legroom, the fact that you have to pay 20% more to have the same rotten seat 12 rows further up front, the food that's barely fit for human consumption, the presence of 20 year old cathode screens that can't be watched but do prevent the cabin being dark, etc.
The fact that I got home in one piece I really like.
Planes are old, small tv screens in aisles, older seats and headrests. I had requested Gluten Free meals and on the way to Amsterdam they did okay (besides the snacks). On the way back they didn't even offer me the second meal GF, I had to ask another flight attendant who went looking for it and found one.. so it was there, they just hadn't bothered to look for it. I also never understand why you wouldn't start boarding with the last rows? Is that just me? The aisles are always so crowded when the last rows walk in and there's always a line.
The KLM staff that were assigned to this flight were incompetent. After telling them I was flying with Etihad and I had a 30kg limit the told me to unpack my bag to reduce them to 23kg. I did this 3 times, and then at final weighing they figured out I was right and that I could board with 30kg. Morons!
I found the crowded squashed seating very uncomfortable, , the 380 from Dubai to UK was wonderful, the relaxed atmosphere was great, more leg room, and the staff were extremely pleasant, not sure I want to fly in a 777 again terribly claustrophobic .
Air Canada ground crew where very good and helpful as where all staff
Plane was overly cramped, if you eliminate one set of seats and only had 8 across and less row,
I think you would make great improvements to overall customer satisfaction if the seating was mad alittle more comfortable
Quick boarding, when it did eventually happen, almost 45 minutes late, due to late arrival of incoming flight.
I didn't like arriving at a different terminal and then having to walk through long corridors for nearly 10 minutes.
I didn't like having to wait over 40 minutes for my baggage in a hall where the lights kept being turned off and on.
I didn't like that there was no official there to apologise and offer some compensation, even in the way of a coffee voucher.
I didn't like the fact that the luggage customer service guy couldn't get anyone in loading to answer his call, and that his only option then was to fill out a report. Not really much help to the guy whose wheelchair had so far failed to materialise.
I didn't like the total lack of explanation or apology when it became clear that our luggage had seemingly been loaded on a later flight and that we were waiting for that plane to land.
I didn't like that there are about 10 seats in the entire baggage hall, totally inadequate when a flightfull of people is waiting.
Finally, I didn't like that it took 80 from the plane landing to my leaving the car park.
My stay in the air was approximately about an hour from stockholm to Helsinki. They smiled me and gave comfortable service as always . Thanks
It may be not about flying process but airport environment or service. ARN airport was a bit cold even inside of the building . The WiFi was offered only limited time , which was very shorter than I expected but overall status with cosy mood made me as if I were at home . On the other hand , the finnair check in counter had only two , one of which was business and the other was economy it took about 40mins to send my luggage and check in .
staff onboard the flight were helpful to mum, she said they were really nice
I booked this flight for my mum who has dementia. I was told o pick her up at the excess baggage area, where her walker would be and that she would be brought by staff there via wheelchair. After 45mins and no mum, I asked staff where she was. They said they were waiting for me at the gate as they didn't have enough staff to bring her, and I couldn't take her walker through security, so I had to go there and pick her up (passing 4 staff members with golf carts just sitting and waiting). luckily she wasn't distressed, but when I got to her, the man at the desk was then told over the radio tthat he could bring her down... poorly organised. Not the end of the world, because she was okay, but it could have been really upsetting for her otherwise.
The cabin crew were very friendly and attentive.
The food and mid flight snacks were delicious and free, the on-board entertainment was extremely diverse, entertaining and free, the offer of a glass of wine with my meal was delightful and having a bottle of water waiting in my seat pocket was very thoughtful and much needed during mid-flight.
Quantas may not be as high tech as some of its sister airlines but the basic needs of its passengers are met without fanfare or need to fuss around with price lists and coupons and wether or not you have a debit card, credit card, visa or mastercard, cash or indeed, no card or cash at all.
Quantas is my airline of choice and they have delivered every time.
My seat..... No row in front of it.
Crew were excellent. Friendly and professional
Had a TVs show I've been wanting to see, Blackish, which we don't get in the Uk
Choice of films. I've seen a lot of them and the rest were awful
Why do flights always serve chocolate biscuits, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cake? Strawberries, carrots and humous, grapes, olives, would make a nice alternative for example.
Hot food boring, tasteless
The crew was friendly and made me feel at ease (lone passenger) and the entertainment they did have various things to watch.
the seats was cramped, and the food was tasteless and the snack they had (chives pretzels) is not to my taste at all and they didnt have any other options (why not salted instead?) . Im lactose intolerant and I understand they dont have any other milk options apart from cow so I dont mind black coffee but they didnt give you sugar to sweeten the coffee.
I can't even choose what did I like the most about this flight, I was in economy but felt like I was traveling in business...
The crew was excellent, the flight was quiet and calm, great food,..... And so on.
The attitude of the crew, not friendly, the lady next to me had to ask 3 times to get her glass of water
Very average, I was dissapointed as Emirates is the best company I flew with and Qantas does not have the same quality and service standards
When I buy a ticket through etihad website, I expect etihad service, even if it was operated by other airline. Air Serbia managed to loose my luggage on a direct flight between AD and Belgrade, and the plane was very old, without entertainment.
My name is Parag Mokashi, Indian Passport No. Z1788332 had booked 2 return air tickets from Singapore to Auckland with details as follows:

I had booked these tickets online through CheapTickets.sg on 17th September 2016. While booking the tickets mine and my wife’s full details such as the Name, Nationality and Passport were given. In spite of this nowhere was it mentioned in the Quantas terms and conditions or any prompt/popup given while booking the tickets that Australian transit visa is required for Indians since the flight is via Australian city. I had booked the tickets well in advance and had enough time to get transit visa had there been any information about it mentioned.
On 1st December 2016 when we went to the Changi airport we were not allowed to board the plane as we did not have the Australian transit visa. We were told by Quantas personnel at the airport to go to the Australian embassy in Singapore to get the transit visa and that we would get it within a day.
Next day we went to the embassy and found that the Australian visa is done by VFS global at a different address. When went there they informed us that Australian visa takes minimum 5 days.
I had all my hotel bookings in New Zealand already done hence I had no choice to take a direct Singapore Auckland flight via Singapore Airlines at a very high price on the next day. I also lost one day of my hotel booking in Auckland and had to forfeit the money.
I and my wife had to go through the psychological trauma of being refused to board the plane, then the next day running around the Australian embassy / VFS global office for trying to get the Australian transit visa and facing the uncertainty regarding our new Zealand trip which was planned well in advance for our 25th wedding anniversary
I flew with multiple international airlines this summer and KLM was by far the best. The crew of KLM were exceptionally attentive, polite, and helpful. The meals were by far the most enjoyable of my airplane travel meals; and I learned that KLM does not charge for it's drinks on international flights, unlike most other international airlines that I traveled with this summer. In a sentence, flying with KLM was a very pleasant experience and I will recommend this airlines to others.
If I were going to list any negatives, I would say that the little travel pillow that was given to the passengers was so thin that it was practically useless, but I brought my own with me, so I was none the less comfortable.
The Amsterdam airport is super disorganized, with rude employees great at making excuses for their incompetence.
The boarding crew really struggled to organized the boarding and wouldn't really care about people's status. We had to take a bus to the airplane, and even though both plane's entrances were open, they sent everybody to the front entrance.
The comfort of the plane was horrendous, with seats over 20 years old and their business class was the same as the coach, but with no one sitting in the middle (can you get any lower than this?)
The flight attendant woke me up to shove a food tray that I didn't want.
We had to wait over 45 minutes after the plane landing to start seeing some luggage show up on the conveyor bell.
The overall flight experience make southwest look like a luxury airline. This was my first and last time flying on KLM.
Some payment fees are estimated. Not all providers support all payment methods.
