Pros: "Everything was on time. I got an aisle seat and I didn't have to pay the ridiculous online fee. Crew were great. Lots of great movies to watch. Free beer and wine. Didn't lose my bag, made my connection which was tight. Very happy."
Pros: "Came close to missing flight because of gate delay because of connecting flight, but one of the flight attendants saw I was flustered and sweaty and gave me a cup of water before the flight even took off. Very thoughtful and nice."
Cons: "So it was annoying that the seat that was assigned to me..airline assigned that seat to someone else because that person asked for it. And nobody bothered to ask me( no email or call or anything) even though there were lot of empty seats. But the passenger was polite he moved to his original seat."

Pros: "My daughter traveled as an unaccompanied minor overseas and was taken care of reasonably well. The staff in LAX were not as friendly but then I am just glad that everything was handled for her at such a young age being taken through such a big place. My daughter said she slept very little overnight due to a rude passenger who was talking very loudly and using a phone. But over all she was happy with the in-flight entertainment and I was pleased with the amount of baggage allowed at no extra fee."

Cons: "I am claustrophobic and the only opportunity I had to select a seat was when I checked in 24 hrs before the flight. The only aisle seat left was in the back row of the plane. Between the person in front of me fully reclining their seat and my inability to fully recline my own seat (airplane design) and with pepole standing in the aisles waiting for the toilets - I was very uncomfortable for most of the flight. United also had problems with their entertainment system so for an 8 hour long flight, there was much room for improvement."

Cons: "They made a big deal at the gate about downloading the United App to be able to watch free movies. The WiFi didn’t work at all for me and others near me. I did see a couple of people watching movies, so it’s possible some folks were able to get a good connection. Good thing I had my kindle! Also, my bag and the bags of a few other people didn’t come through after UA22. There was a woman working at the computer at baggage claim #5 (I didn’t get her name) who called and radioed people regarding our missing luggage. It eventually showed up, but we were all getting very nervous because of the long delay. Thanks to that woman, it all turned out fine."

Cons: "Wish the entertainment came with tablets already installed instead if for purchase. Would be nice to have gluten-free options for snacks. Since my first flight was delayed and I barely made it to my connection, I had no time to grab something to eat at the airport. And being celiac, there was only a nut and fruit mix. Not enough to substitute for a meal. My biggest complaint however is with 3 hours left of the flight, i turned on the call button to request a beverage and nobody came. I waited 45 minutes, having to turn on the light 3 separate time because it automatically must have timed out. I couldn't get out of my seat due to seat belt sign. I looked back into the rear galley and 5 attendants were back there talking. Tried to get their attention. Nothing. Finally, I got up and went to get my own drinks. Being a server at hotel in waikiki, I understand that customer service is very important. And though I understand that they may have been busy and unable to answer my call, I could see that clearly was not the problem. They were just standing there and chatting. Very frustrating. Though they were friendly, they just simply weren't paying attention. I have to say in all honesty, I will not be recommending nor flying United airlines again."
