I was pleasantly surprised. I've never flown this airline and the seats were comfy, I couldn't select my seat but luckily got aisle and was able to comfortably sleep the whole trip except when they came around with an in flight free meal, drinks then snack at the end. I'd fly with Aer Lingus again. The only annoying thing is you had to pay for WiFi for different hours of usage but luckily I didn't need it
The embarkation at Dublin was a kin to a Ryanair approach, in other words a circuitous and cheep access
Most narrow seat of my life. Easyjet has larger seats. And as I just wrote in the last comment section - Seat 1A promises luxury after a great businessflight. Instead, it's narrow, the seatbelt is 20cm shorter than the one in 1B, it's just a joke.
No snacks, drinks or coffee. No entertainment, not comfortable seats
This was a great flight. I love the way they had general boarding board from the back first by seat row and in general the flight was very comfortable. The seats were actually comfy, and the food served was surprisingly good.
A seat was broken There was a delay of 45min A checked bag was missing in Boston
The service was some of the worst I have experienced on an international flight. The service was rude, the quality of the food was very low. The speed of service was insanely quick. You couldn’t finish your pretzels before the meal came before the coffee came before trash collection came. Then they never came back for 5 hours. They rushed everything so they could get it over with.
A special shout-out to one of the check-in staff at DUB yesterday noon. We had to use the "Closing Flights" counter and we met, hands down, the most efficient person - able to resolve several issues in the matter of minutes, while remaining polite and calming everyone down. Great job, Aer Lingus!
Air Lingus was in no hurry to get us on the plane as sat at the gate a long time before they boarded us. Then they leave us on the tarmac for an hour. They were no help to let me know what I needed to do to get home. I had to navigate London Heathrow with 0 help from them.
The delay was very discouraging--- having to wait in the airport during the heat wave after a long flight from the US was a challenge.
Lufthansa has a bag policy unique to Lufthansa. We all had a small carry on and a backpack (personal item) that we carried with us through multiple other connecting flights, no problem. With Lufthansa we were charged 80 euros each for the carry on at the gate, for this one flight. When asked they said they made an announcement… problem being that we had just arrived to the gate from a connecting flight and didn’t hear an announcement. While we were standing at the counter paying the ridiculous fee several other people were stopped, while countless others boarded with the same type of luggage and were not stopped. Crazy. Good news though, when we got on the plane half of the overhead bins were empty! After an already horrible experience the lady at the counter was also terrible, so that helped round things out.
Delayed over 2 hours. Bring your own snacks or prepare to pay. No entertainment and no plug plugs for charging.
I remember flying with Lufthansa many years ago, and it used to be an amazing airline with more technologically savvy and roomy planes, but unfortunately that isn’t the case anymore. The space between the seats is much smaller, which is ok for short flights, but definitely not for across the Atlantic flights. Not sure if I’ll opt for Lufthansa the next time, maybe just if necessary.
Boarding delayed 1.5 hours. Ended up sick because of all the delays and lines waiting around airport and boarding.
They failed to make sure all luggage made it onto the flight. I had to spend a week on vacation with no clothes.
No internet for most of the flight. Very narrow seats. Food was bad. Flight was nearly an hour late with perfect weather, crew offered no explanation or compensation.
Gate agent required us to check our perfectly legal carry on bags due to a supposed lack of overhead space. After seating, we saw nothing but empty space in our seating area. This caused luggage to miss connection in Athens, and we had no bags in Mykonos. Totally avoidable and unacceptable. My last U A flight !
I missed my connection. Lufthansa did a great job helping me get a new flight. My luggage arrived on the same plane as I did. That was astonishing.
Enough leg room, no drinks or snacks. Looked like they were very good with the children
Flight was great but the after words was a nightmare. Flight from Munich to Greece was cancelled and I wasn’t notified. After 4 hrs Tuesday morning if trying to get a flight I was told I was all set. Get to Munich and went to get my boarding pass and they don’t have reservations for me to continue my trip. They rebooked me gave me 3 boarding passes. Had to go to Heathrow then Athens and finally zaykanthos. Well Aegean airlines did not accept my boarding pass issued by Lufthansa. Said I didn’t have a ticket with them. Again had to stay at airport til next morning to talk with Lufthansa. They rebooked me to Frankfurt and the flight was delayed so missed my connecting flight. They had rebooked me for Saturday(2dayslater)to go to zaykanthos which didn’t serve me as I had ticket to go to Mykonos. So from ties to Friday all I’ve done was bounce around from one airport to another. Hoping to make it today to Mykonos but on my own for hotel stay and any other expenses!!! So frustrating and wasted 3 vacation days at airports!!!!! Not happy camper and only 3 employees of all the ones I dealt with of Lufthansa were kind and helpful. The rest were asymptomatic and broader line rude.
