Some people may be required to check their carryon bags, depending on flight, plane size, check-in crew, etc. Also, taller people should purchase aisle seats.

Whatever airline you choose, spring for a class with more leg and overall body room than economy (or whatever the cheapest class is called).

Eat and drink before boarding. Snacks. Hand gel and surface wipes . Don't expect a window if in a window row.

Seat room is very limited with econo. No need to pack snack…food provided.

Go to the airport early, LAX is the worst airport to fly out from. There is just so much traffic on the way to get there. We used the flyaway option in van nuys, ( buy your parking ticket in advance) costing us only 115 dollars for parking for over two weeks and it’s very secure. The buses go every 15 minutes from there directly to LAX. Best way to get to and from LAX. Check in was easy.

JFK is an amazing airport, they have TSA precheck which was not offered when I flew Aer Lingus/Newark. The TSA precheck line took a long time, they only had 2 machines and a few agents working. Other than that Newark was as any other airport, easy bag check in process and gate seating area was clean and comfortable.

Pack what you need in a carryon since it is likely you'll arrive without luggage.

I never flew. Flight was canceled. DIA worst airport in the country. Avoid at all costs.

Efficient, calm when things were delayed and kept us regularly informed of what was happening.

Airbus plane, nice and polite staff, entertainment even as it was a short flight.

Everything is good except the dinner and breakfast. The sandwich is very delicious. Toilet is clean, I only use one of them. Flight attendants are very nice. 👍👍

Boarding is very confusing. They have Line 1 and Line 2 and many many Boarding groups. Everyone lines up under those two lines long before they call zones. If you have a higher zone 2 like I did due to a Premium Plus ticket, it’s very awkward having to ask each person which zone they have. Extremely chaotic process. On board the flight attendants had no charisma whatsoever, even to us paying extra for an upgraded cabin. I asked for a chamomile tea after dinner (as no coffee or tea was even offered) and the FÃ said they didn’t have even though listed on the drink menu. Also, the mid flight service was entirely skipped which was a soup and sandwich combo. Supposedly had a variety of snacks mid flight too but those never materialized either. A few times I walked Back there, not a single flight attendant acknowledged me as they were all deep into their iPhones. I simply Wanted a glass of water since ZERO water runs were made on this 9hr 30 min flight.

Plane 3 hours late. Missed connection. No help from gate staff. App horrible. Lost connection repeatedly. No service desk. Finally got help from young girl driving cart.

Received an email the night before showing that there would be seatback entertainment on our flight. We get on and there was no seatback entertainment. And then it was a scramble to try to set up the iPads for the kids before takeoff so they could watch something for the four hour flight.

The aircrew was solid, the flight was chill, I had no issues. The gate agent was not the best. I was trying to use a military bag upgrade to move my bag from under the seat to the overhead bins and he told me there’s no overhead bins on the plane, argued with me why booking put a military member in basic economy (I don’t really understand this) and made it an issue to even try to help me stating I’d have to call reservations to get a bag upgrade. When every other agent with United can add it at the gate, this man couldn’t be bothered.

Short flight - no food understandable. Flight was delayed for over an hour. Overall, it was good.

The flying experience was great. The flight was on time with no boarding issues during a peak travel period. The short cut baggage drop and process was not smooth and efficient at Dulles.

Bad service as well. Another 3hr delayed flight from chicago to Charlotte.

Horrible, we were on a little DeHaviland 400 that was really small and shaky. I am 5' 4" and I had to duck my head to get in it felt like an old war plane.

Staff was very courteous and kept things organized. We will definitely use Air Canada for further travel

Very good except paying twice for seat selection. Once when I booked and again when I checked in.

In a nutshell, my bag, the one I have to pay for, because now you can’t even bring a carry on, did not make it. I am still waiting for an update. The fact that not only were have to pay for it, but on top of that we are stuck without getting it, it’s ridiculous..

People pay over $1000 to fly from Victoria to Toronto, and they do want to charge you for a headphone that may cost less than 20 cents! You could add 20 cents to the ticket price and not to try to sell it on the plane. That is so cheap!!!

Nuts would be better than pretzels as the non sweet snack

It was a good flight- but it is not clear to me why AC suggests to come to the airport 4 hours (!) before the flight. Even the locals said that’s a bit of an exaggeration. We were there 2 hours before as usual and that was more than enough.

an absolute disaster and nightmare on air condition. IT WAS FREEZING!! everyone around us had hats, hoodies, gloves outdoor jackets on. that segment of the aircraft had a fault I assume...no amount of suggestion to turn down the air con helped. otherwise all good.

Flight and flight crew were great. Better than most US airlines. Check-in was awful. They repeatedly wouldn't assign seats on the Air Canada flight or print boarding passes for all legs. This was really frustrating. Checked in the day before each direction but they put us on Standby while they juggled seats to upgrade others. This made it really difficult to get seats next to each other which is important when you have 10+ hour flights. Then they would only print boarding passes for their leg even though everything was booked through them. This made Customs in Canada difficult as they required boarding passes for the next flight each way to get through security. Couldn't get them on the phone and slowed everything down and security had to make exceptions for me to print boarding passes as security.

We booked a flight from FCO(Rome) with a stop over at DUB(Dublin) going to JFK. Boarding from Rome was kind of chaotic since the airport I guess is very small and we needed to shuttle to the airplane. The gate agent just let everyone and anyone go without using the sections so that took a lot longer than usual boarding. From drinking to JFk boarding was good and organized. Amazingly the flights was very smooth sailing and we’ve flown American big airplane to small companies before. The aircraft’s itself is on the older side, can’t complain tho because the plane ride wa smooth. For a 3 hour plane ride, nothing was complimentary. But for the longer leg of the plane complimentary snacks, meals and drinks were provided which was great. The food wasn’t bad either. I would fly with them again, great price and good service.

Comfortable trip , flight attendants professional as always. Only complaint was the food, We fly Aer Lingus frequently, this was the first time the quality of the meal was poor.

Everything went well. I made my connection which is always a concern.

I appteciate the very courteous staff. The flight was good. Something that wasn't good was that my bag was only checked as far as Dublin and I had a connecting flight to Vienna. (That was a mistake the ORD desk made.) Fortunately the desk at DUB was able to re-tag without me having to re-check in (which initially it seemed I might have to do.)

I had an awful experience at the ticketing agent stand. I had purchased three tickets, one of which I had the maiden name of a passenger on the ticket. They refused to help, assist, and actually delayed our process and had us miss an opportunity to purchase a ticket on the same flight. I was sent through multiple phone calls, none of which helped, and the person at the counter was the person who told me to both call Aer Lingus for help and was the person who said they could not fulfill my request that they were privy to from the beginning. My partner is still stuck in Scotland, racking up thousands of dollars in additional fees and tickets. I am very upset and two of my tickets went unused. I will never be using Aer Lingus ever again and I will continue to complain about them.

This was the most expensive economy flight per minute of flight time ever. But the quality was lacking. Extremely Aer Lingus rude staff at LHR said that the flight from London to Dublin (Ireland) was “NOT international.” Horrified at the colonial and imperial perspective. Seats were dirty with trash in seat pockets. Airline doesn’t clean or care about hygiene and safety.

When I booked the flight, I wasn't aware that this was a "no frills" flight. No wifi, no reclining seat, no complimentary soft drinks.

Charging for coffee on a business class fare??? And to not even mention it? Inexcusable. Boarding and disembarking was pathetic. Could not use a jetway on either end. Had to use stairs and walk across tarmac at origination and use stairs and be bussed to terminal at destination.

It was excellent! The plane left Chicago early. Arrived in Dublin early. The crew was excellent! It was a great experience.

The Nice airport was a horrible boarding experience. I have never experienced the kind of compressed mob (in the B12-B17 gate area) of people all unclear what was happening and no airport staff to assist. There was no signage and 1000’s of people waiting for any info for 2 hours.

Boarded with no problems. Sat on the tarmac for an hour before taking off. We were the last ones on our connecting flight. Didn't think we were going to make it. Our flight to Iceland was similarly delayed. When we've flown other airlines, pilots have tried to make up time while in the air. This doesn't seem to be something that Icelandair does. We made all of our flights, but it was stressful and we didn't think it was going to happen based on the time we arrived.

The flight was delayed and as a consequence we missed our connecting flight. Were stuck for another 6h in Reykyavik. Appreciated that we got a generous food voucher at least. Would have liked to see more information upon arrival including a person waiting for connecting flight travellers and informing already that we will not catch the flight and directing us to the office dealing with the matter; unfortunately that didnt happen and we hence first needed to find out whether flight had indeed left already and then locate the adequate office to help us with booking us on the next connecting flight. Also my suitcase broke and it is not clear whether it is happened on the leg with Iceland Air from DC to Reykyavik or on the leg with Lufthansa from Reykyavik to Frankfurt. Finally, understood that it is a low cost company but at least provision of earplugs for free would have been nice, instead of making them buy.

Great experience on Icelandair flight from Newark to Amsterdam by way of Reykjavík. Courteous and professional staff. Food was solid. Service - outstanding. Cabin was a little warm.

Good service. No complementary food for international flight. WiFi kinda pricey. Got the job done for the right price.

Still one of my favorite airlines, but the entertainment options were a bit lacking. It didn't help that my screen didn't work on one of the legs of the trip.

The plane was very small and the aisle was so narrow that every time someone walked by they rubbed against me, so it was very uncomfortable.

Everything was good. Only issue comes from being vegan and flying. The food options are super limited.

Overall good for an economy fare. IMO the movie selection could be improved. Great that you can now connect bluetooth headphones to the entertainment system.

For a four hour flight, I was disappointed that everything was for purchase except for coffee, tea, or water. The disembarking in Iceland was so inefficient and time-consuming. We landed and stopped in the middle of the tarmac, had to disembark in the rain, and then squeeze into a bus which took us to the airport. Crazy! How does that work in winter?

Paid for a Premium seat...minimal recline, no footrest. Maybe slightly wider than a cheap economy seat. Zero chance of getting any rest on this plane

All good. Loo’s weren’t great and as clean as i would like.

Fair, difficult to find the departure gate. Luggage delayed on arrival

Boarding market okay just because of the delay we had, but not related to the crew in any way…

They removed our booking without telling us. Cost us thousands to book last minute

We never made it onto this flight due to BA's lackluster organisation.

bad, made it to connecting flight and they didnt let me board

The payment system was not working so was unable to connect wifi the entire flight

Maybe a cultural thing but our "business class" seats were basic economy seats with the center seat blocked. I had to put 1 leg in the aisle and 1 under the middle seat footwell. I did not want the lunch and instead asked for some snack items. 10 minutes before landing and after asking again I was presented with 2 of the 3 items and a card reader. Apparently biz class does not entitle you to snacks instead of a meal. I declined. Boarding was a mess. Much standing in line because the various stages of the process were not coordinated. Checkin was chaotic and took a long time. Overall a fail, but we did get to Edinburgh. After doing a go around because we were too fast on final approach. Not impressed. Well, not favorably...

Dreadfully long wait for bags at Dublin coming off an already late flight.

Not the quality I was expecting from a company that has been around for ages and charges high prices
