Pros: "I like how they boarded the back of the plane first!"
Cons: "The seats weren't as comfortable as other airlines. The food wasn't very good either."
Pros: "Great movies and TV available."
Cons: "The food and service was pretty mediocre. The plane was old and felt dirty."
Cons: "They lost all my luggage"
Cons: "They did not include our checked luggage on our flight and had to wait for it to be delivered on the next available flight from Dublin."
Pros: "Flight attendants were great!"
Cons: "Roomier seats, include a beverage (soda, juice, and at least water), child free section"
Pros: "Everything was good except the flight from Dublin to Prague..., I was really thirsty.., and they charged me even for water..!"
Cons: "Free drink/ water on the second flight !"
Cons: "The flight was delayed. I suggested I take another flight, they kept on saying we will not be late . Well i missed both connecting flights."
Cons: "The flight is advertise as a British airways flight which flies out of teminal E in Boston. In reality the flight is through aer lingus which flies through terminal C. This should be clarified upon booking...."
Cons: "My flights were cancelled by Aer lingus and I was rebooked improperly, resulting in my being removed from a plane and having to be rebooked at least three times because of how long it took."
Pros: "Quick flight. Small delay. Missing food options but didn’t want anything on the short flight. Window views were great even if I wasn’t on a window seat."
Cons: "Emergency door seating. Actually a lot of seats were free. Reclining seat should have been offered."
Pros: "Timely departure."
Cons: "Staff did not seem engaged in customer service, did not go up and down the aisles to collect cups, paper, etc. very disappointing in tight space."
Pros: "Fine flight, pushed back on time, tarmac shuttle service"
Cons: "Kinda crummy to not get any water or refreshments on a 3 hour flight"
Cons: "The flight was booked through Jetfly and I tried to change the date. I ended up losing the entire ticket. No flight, no money. I talked to Jetfly at least 8 times and they kept confusing things, delaying things, and were not very helpful which caused me to miss any available flights."
Pros: "Staff where unbelievable nice and kind"
Cons: "I was fine with a 5 hour delay I was fine with my bags not being on the same flight as me I am not fine with finally receiving my bags 24 hours later soaking wet. Everything it dripping. I still have nothing to change into now and there was no compensation offered whatsoever. Never flying with this airline again."
Pros: "I have never been on an airplane with a crew that constantly gave out orders during the flight. Having the trays and seat backs put up one hour before the flight landed? Frequent barking about the shades needing to be up or down? Making you put your seat back up because someone’s drinking coffee behind you? It got old. I suspect this is a company thing. They seemed friendly enough but they have their marching orders!"
Cons: "See above"
Pros: "Smooth landing. Entertainment. That's about it."
Cons: "I've flown many overseas trips some first, some premium, some economy. This economy was the worst. I felt like a sardine smashed in a tin can. Also, extra to buy snacks and drinks? Not looking forward to the flight back. Would love to upgrade but site won't let you :( even if it gives you an option to do so"
Pros: "The only thing I can say that I liked about this flight was that we arrived a little early."
Cons: "Note: This review is for Aer Lingus a partner of British Airways. 1) Service - one of our fight attendants was incredibly rude. She clearly resents her job. 2) The plane itself was very old and not well maintained. The audio jack for the in-flight entertainment was broken and I could not watch anything. My wife complained about the touch screens being faulty and her audio system was bad. Also, the carpet and seat fabric was torn. 3) The food was disgusting. I mean, really bad. 4) There was a charge for alcohol whereas British Airways was complimentary. 5) Overall, I will never fly Aer Lingus again. It was the worst flying experience in memory."
Pros: "Boarding was quick."
Cons: "They lost my luggage on my connecting flight from Dublin to London. And I didn’t receive it until I returned home a week later. No clothing for a week. I wasn’t offered any reimbursement. The flight attendants were rude. And the seats were uncomfortable."
Cons: "More room for passengers in economy class. It is becoming utterly unpleasant. I would like not to be forced to check-in the carry-on when the plane is full. Make more room, sell less, or don't tell me I have right too a carry-on."
Pros: "The flight attendents were fabulous, very friendly and helpful. I sat in the first row and when I boarded the attendant helped me find a spot for my carry on luggage."
Cons: "I paid for priority boarding but never had the chance to board early."
Pros: "Flying overnight across the U.S., and then the Atlantic, to Dublin would have been very difficult if not for the accommodations and service provided by Aer Lingus. The reception was warm and comfortable. The in-flight food and service was perfect. The environment was conducive to sleeping during this red eye flight."
Cons: "I have no complaints, to be honest. The flight attendants were so welcoming and accommodating to every request. They were efficient and quick to respond to my questions and requests."
Cons: "Worst flight experience I've ever had and I'm 70+ years old. In Dublin we were diverted from JFK to Hartford due to "mechanical problems" and told we'd be met at the gate and provided ground transportation to JFK. Approximately 30 others going to either JFK or Boston were told the same thing and joined us on a half empty flight to Hartford. When we landed there was no representative at the gate, no ground transportation provided, and no effort to help us. A little investigation on cell phones revealed both the Boston and JFK flights left on time (and I'm guessing full). Needless to say the customers were quite upset. Some even raised their voices which caused the kid representatives of Aer Lingus to call the state troopers (really). When the troopers did nothing the Aer Lingus reps locked themselves in their office rather than deal with their customers. After 2 hours of waiting for the promised ground transportation we gave up, rented a car, and drove ourselves to our destination at our own expense. We were never provided even a free drink. Horrible. Lies upon lies upon lies. I'll never consider flying with them again"
Pros: "The crew was VERY friendly and attentive. They responded quickly to requests and were very pleasant. Everyone was showed attention to details and put customer comfort at the forefront. They allowed people to relocate to seats allowing for more room and comfort once everyone boarded and empty seats were identified. The snacks and meals were tasty and generous. The entertainment options offered something for everyone - great music and movie choices. I would definitely fly Aer Lingus again."
Pros: "The crew was lovely"
Cons: "The space given was considerably smaller than other transatlantic flights and there were also no alcoholic beverages included when other airlines do."
Pros: "Short flight. No extra services. Good staffnothing"
Pros: "Seating location was as expected and service was great. We enjoyed the overall flight experience."
Cons: "Check-in at Milan was quite slow and confusing. Would recommend opening earlier or having additional staff. Once you make it through the check-in process, you are stuck in an area of the airport with very little amenities."
Pros: "clearing customs in Dublin rather than US was nice. Since we chose the flight based on price, It's reasonable to expect some corner cutting."
Cons: "Aer Lingus operated the flight. Haphazzard ticketing/check-in procedure would have been stressful if it wasn't clear that everyone else on the plane was there in line too. Both legs of our trip with Aer Lingus were on older planes, that had obviously flown a lot of miles. It was a short flight, so food wasnt a necessity, but no beverages were complimentary. Given airline security, water, at least, should be complimentary on any flight."
Cons: "this wasn't a BA flight.. it was air lingus and it was a disaster. shouldn't have been charged BA rates for this"
Pros: "The seats were comfortable, the crew was friendly and the food was okay."
Cons: "The entertainment system wasn't great. The earphones quality was quite bad and felt really uncomfortable. Unfortunately, AerLingus still has that double pronged plugs and I wasn't able to use my personal set (actually, I could but sound would only work on one side). I'll definitely fly with them again, only next time I'll bring an attachment for me to be able to use my headphones."
Cons: "Flight was delayed and ultimately canceled. what a chaotic experience coming and going to Ireland. poor service and customer relation"
Pros: "The people who worked at the front desk and boarding desk were very friendly and met my needs. As I asked to sit up front and they got me seats by aisle in the front. The beef stew were good"
Pros: "Efficient."
Cons: "Short flight, so there wasn't any entertainment or food."
Pros: "Nothing! It is ridiculous that not even water is given on an almost two hour flight. We pay enough for the flight we should not have to buy water."
Cons: "The cost"
Pros: "The flight attendants were very attentive and helpful."
Cons: "The fact that beer and wine had to be paid for. It is such a small thing to make passengers welcome and feel good on their trip! Lufthansa and Swiss Air don't charge for alcohol on transatlantic flights."
Cons: "We are really upset that Aer Lingus and/or Bitish Airways lost our baggeage! All our clothes, toiletries, medicine, and other personal belongings are MIA and we want these two airlines to work together and expedite finding and tertuning our luggage."
Pros: "Food excellent, plane staff pleasant. Plane was late."
Cons: "They lost my luggage. The young man at the,AL desk at Frankfort was tude, and dismissive. It is more than 24 hours later now and they have made no contact."
Pros: "Sainsburys"
Cons: "Security. Large distances to walk. Poor signage. Poor processes re onboarding. Booked Aer Lingus. Was actually a shitty Stobard plane."
Pros: "Efficient flight, left a bit late door reasons beyond control of the airline."
Cons: "Website was difficult to navigate. Check in required filling lots of necessary information and if you did not do it quickly, it blanks it all out and you have to do it over. There is no indication of it timing out. Boarding announcements were difficult to understand as were announcements on the plane."
Cons: "There's no aer lingus desk at marseille airport. I arrives a few minutes late and nobody could help me. I missed my flight. Ryanair staff have me aer lingus's phone number to rebook for the day after, and of course on the phone she told me that I had to do it online."
Cons: "Paying for water was a bit much. Fortunately, no charge was made for air to breathe."
Pros: "Good leg room, comfortable."
Pros: "Everything was basic. I got an old plane so everything wasn't up to date"
Cons: "It was slow in taking off, not sure why but the plane was taxi'd for a long time. In-flight system and variety was lacking. Audio was poor. It did the job taking me to my destination but the great."
Cons: "We had a terrible experience at the Aer Lingus desk in Paris. We got there two hours early for our flight and there was already a long line at the desk and no agents at the counter. Finally some agents arrived started checkng people in. After 15 min in line, they told us that if we were flying to the U.S., our flight was delayed and we would not make our connection, and to get out of line and wait. After 20 more minutes, they said that was a mistake and get back in line. I waited for approximately an hour and a half in line there, and had to run to my flight. There was no effort made to hurry us through security or any apologies."
Pros: "Check-in was easy and gate agent awesome. Boarding was a breeze. Plane was reasonably comfortable (short haul flight so didn't matter much). Weather conditions great, we arrived in DUB well ahead of schedule"
Cons: "Had lovely pix of nice looking food but charged for it! I had come over on a BA flight that served a really nice snack b'fast. Thought it odd that same route with different carrier made you pay. I was in desperate need of a coffee, could have offered complimentary beverages."
Cons: "My original flight was cancelled & this meant I missed my connecting flight to Donegal at 1 pm -- had to wait for the 7 pm flight to Donegal -- I was not happy as I was to attend my Mother's 80 th birthday"
Cons: "I wasn't able to board the flight. System prevented me from checking my bags all the way through to LA had to leave terminal and was not allowed onto flight"
Cons: "I was very lucky to make my connecting flight because of a 90 minute delay. I was informed that my bags might not make it, which is the last thing you want to hear when you need your bag for the next day..."
Pros: "Seats were overall comfortable, though the plane's upholstery was showing its age."
Cons: "We had to pay for refreshments on the European flights."
Pros: "I really enjoyed my window seat. The flight was on time and sightly early which was great."
Cons: "I didn’t realize it was an outdoor boarding process so i wasn’t prepared for the rain. But i will be ready next time!"
Pros: "Fast boarding"
Cons: "Having to now pay and queue for cabin baggage is treating customers like dirt. Flight was one hour late to Dublin so missed my connection. Best not flying with this crowd in future."
Cons: "They don’t accept credit cards from USA."
Cons: "My travel agent could not check us in as she did not realize she need passport info, exp. date, and birth date and we couldn't reach her in time to get us checked in with the time difference. It cost us an extra 115 pounds to checkin at the airport. That is ridiculous!"
Cons: "This is the terrible airlines that we have ever experienced. It’s not organized at all. After booking the ticket, I didn’t say we have to check in 2 hours prior to not to get charged at the airport. When we stand at the encounter, everyone in line didn’t know this and had to turn around to get in the different line to pay for checking in. After that, we had to get back in a long line and the lady didn’t mentioned that she can check in our luggage’s. With that being said, we had to go back to other encounter to pay for checked in luggage. We paid almost $200 for checking in and luggage. How stupid is that? We and other customers in line all said we felt it’s the rip off. We come to Ireland for vacation and expected it would be welcome and nice. This turned us off. Never fly with this airlines again. Thumbs down!!!"
Pros: "We got there."
Cons: "Service was not great. The baggage allowance was lower than other airlines, forcing us to repack before we checked our bags. Checking in online was mandatory-something that wasn’t very noticeable in the email when we had a million other trip details to attend to so we didn’t and ended up having to pay a fee to check in. Ridiculous. My wife and I were not seated together even though I booked both tickets together. The inexpensive upfront price of the flight is not worth it since they will trick you into paying in other ways."
Cons: "A horrible airline. They charge you for everything, you have to pay a checked baggage fee for both ways. I bought a round trip ticket, if I'm bringing luggage, I'm going to want to bring that luggage back with me. You have to pay if you have more than one cabin bag, everyone boards at the same time, the plane is cramped and old. The landing was just us slamming into the runway. I can't tell you about the staff because I never saw anyone that worked there"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Was told at boarding gate for a visa check stamp requirement. Admittedly it was mentioned in a casual way in the boarding pass, but wasn't a border control requirement. The airline could have done it there. But was denied boarding, waited for 6 hours to catch next flight and further connections."
Pros: "Crew members were welcoming, friendly and efficient."
Cons: "Stood st the gate 30 minutes and then they changed the gate. Went to the new gate, stood in line again and they changed the gate AGAIN. Walked to the new gate and stood in line about another 30 minutes then once checked in and walked down the jetway, we were stopped again and had to wait!! Then we were delayed on the jetway waiting to load bags and once we started going, there were several planes ahead of us so we sat on the tarmac and waited some more. Flight arrived in Dublin more than 2 hours late!"
Pros: "I actually received my checked bag on the other side, so that's good."
Cons: "Positively, unimaginably unenjoyable in every other way."
Cons: "Very rude counter help. Long lines for non E U members"
Cons: "No customer service, hidden fees, rude staff, small plane"
Cons: "Departure was delayed over 3 hiurs"
Pros: "nothing"
Cons: "everytime I fly Edinburgh to Dublin and in the reverse direction I am delayed. This has happened for 4 return journeys I have made in the past 10 months. Last night's delay meant I missed my 3hr bus home to Galway and had to wait until 6.30am!!! Why is this flight alway always delayed. This has also happened to my family on different occasions, Why??"
Pros: "The crew were nice."
Cons: "We were late. Left standing for boarding out in the cold. The entire flight is spent with crew trying to sell you one thing or another. There is no break for peace. Buy these tickets buy these duty free items etc etc...seats are awful too!"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "That they over charge over €50 for not checking online. And not being warned about it on the reservation. Cramped seats, it was giving sounds all the flight."
Pros: "The plane was comfortable and very clean. You could tell it was a newer aircraft. The crew was very polite."
Cons: "Charging a fee to check-in at the airport is ridiculous. Not every traveller has access to a computer/printer when they travel so that can be big hassel for customers. We didn't have to deal with this, but it could stress out other customers."
Cons: "Tiny seats, baggage policy is garbage"
Pros: "Crew on board was fine."
Cons: "Tried to check in only days and hours before. No one could help me navigate. At one point, 5 hours prior to the flight they said I would be upcharged $100.00 then hung up on."
Cons: "Paid for priority boarding, first on the bus, not on the plane. Delayed 2 hours, and 3 gate changes."
Cons: "The carry on bag size... my bag is the proper size because I made the purchase special for the trip. When they checked the size, the wheels made it to large. Then I was charged £45 which was more than the cost of the flight. Baggage agent was very rude."
Pros: "Getting off the plane at the other end, eventually."
Cons: "The massive delay, the move of gates to the other end of the airport only to get onto a bus and then wait 15-20 minutes to get off the bus and onto the plane. Even an offer of free coffee on board would've been nice but nope, just a few apologies over the PA."
Pros: "I showed up at the airport I checked in I got in line I boarded I flew to my destination I got off I left in a rental car all without a single issue. I flew from Edinburgh to Dublin in one hour for 25 dollars. I have had more things go wrong ordering pizzas from Dominos for delivery that cost more"
Cons: "I did not buy any food or drink so I can't comment I did not have to check or pay bag fees because I followed directions so I can't comment I knew exactly what 25 dollars gets me so the fact it had 2 wings and working engines and competent pilots was a pure bonus Ryan Air you have a fan"
Pros: "Crew jokes eased the tension after the flight was delayed"
Cons: "Flight delayes"
Pros: "The availability to go from Ireland and Scotland was very nice. The cost was cheap with an additional fee for everything else. I did purchase an extra bag at 20kg before. I also paid 5 GBP for priority seating. Your ticket is your phone or a print out. There is no entertainment, possibly with the exception of conversation. You could purchase limited food items."
Cons: "The plane numbers did not seem to correspond to the download. I had to check the screen by town and I was vaguely concerned I might have made a mistake. The gates changed twice. Or, they announced the wrong gate change the first time."
Pros: "That it was cheap, and short. Would've paid slightly higher ticket prices for less sales pitches and maybe tv shows on seats."
Cons: "That every two minutes, we had a session pitch for everything from food to scratch off tickets. Give it a rest!"
Pros: "It made it there"
Cons: "It was a half an hour late. My fourth Ryanair flight that was at least a half hour late. I thought they were known for arriving on time."
Pros: "I like how inexpensive the flight was. This would make up for the other things had we not been seriously taken advantage when it came to our luggage!"
Cons: "We checked in online the night before our flight but didn't get a confirmation. We didn't think anything of it until we got to airport to find that we didn't show checked in, had to pay EXTRA to have our boarding passes printed off, and had to pay for EACH of our bags as well!! OH! And it's almost DOUBLE if you pay for it at the airport where you can weigh it then if you do it online! And take caution! Our bags that are considered carry on size are still too big for this airline do you will forced to check Them! This is obviously how they offset their inexpensive tickets! The cost of the ticket, once you add in all the other unexpected expenses in order to actually get on the flight, was NOT worth the "cheap" tickets we got! That's the only reason we decided to fly to Ireland while on our trip to the U.K. Had we known it would cost this much we never would have come to Ireland for two days!!"
Cons: "This was the WORST flying experience of my life. You have to check in online otherwise they scam you out of tons of money. Seems pretty straight forward right? WRONG! They don't send you an email when it's time to check in. They will also send you on a wild goose chase through an airport and have NO CUSTOMER SERVICE WHAT SO EVER. I will never fly with them or their affiliates again."
Cons: "Lots of lines for a long time. No explanation about the delay until we were on the plane. Also lots of added costs after the initial low fare."
Pros: "Room for my bag."
Cons: "Changed Gates at boarding time, twice. Taxied for almost an hour before take off. I was on an aisle seat and the crew kept bumping into me, somehow even when I leaned the other way."
Cons: "Rude representatives and terrible organization."
Pros: "Cheap"
Cons: "30 minutes late, not enough room for everyone's baggage, small seat next to large guy"
Pros: "Short flight"
Cons: "Did not receive an email from Ryan air. Arrived at Edinburgh airport and was told that since I did not check in and it was within 2 hours of the flight, I would have to pay 50 Euro per passenger to check in. There were 3 of us. I had previously paid for checked bags and to reserve seats. Sneaky way for an airline to sucker people out of money. Have flown Ryan air before. Will never again. Unfortunate. Staff was welcoming and flight was comfortable. Not a reflection of employees. 100% reflection of upper management."
Pros: "Not much. I'll never fly Ryanair again."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Ryan air is the worst airline I have ever encounter. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THEM."
Pros: "The flight was painless and the staff were very kind throughout the flight."
Cons: "Nothing."
Cons: "Horrible airline!!! You could not pay me to fly with them again!!! Short, rude staff, every little thing was an additional charge, super uncomfortable seats. Flying with them was a nightmare, never again!"
Cons: "The have good plans flying at reasonable rate and good schedules. If the seat is a bit stiff and the hard surfaces reflect noise...I take that into account when iBook the flight.."
Cons: "four hour delay--missed my appointment"
Pros: "Initial price was good but a bait and switch if not a carry-on commuter."
Cons: "Check online was difficult to understand and took several attempts to complete. Expensive airport checking option was 45 Pounds. Birthday year started at 2000 and had to be scrolled back a couple of months at a time. Misunderstood adding luggage and had to pay 35 Pounds at a/p for 1 passengers bag. Hated the experience!"
Pros: "Had seat assignment with my husband. Short easy flight"
Cons: "Seats didn't adjust. Plane could have been cleaner"
Cons: "Airport checking fee Baggage fee 45 pounds Crew behavior"
Pros: "Quite easy to fly to Dublin. No frills- our carry ons and backpacks were not weighed nor sized. The rules stated specific allowable weights."
Cons: "Nasty lady at the counter checking ID before flight. Very rude about us not filling out a visa form that we didn't understand we needed to. My friends guy was also nasty and he insinuated that she would have to go downstairs and possibly miss the flight to go fill something out. It all need to be more clear before boarding"
Pros: "Only flight from Edinburgh to Ireland that fit our time schedule."
Cons: "The outrageous add-on costs; e.g. having to pay for a boarding pass at the airport. We had been traveling around Scotland for ten days and on our last night we were at a place where we had no access to a printer. Also the cost of one piece of luggage seemed excessive - I would rather it had been included in the ticket price and paid up front."
Pros: "Quick flight"
Cons: "Uncomfortable Confusing check in with no help or assistance. Employees answer questions like you should already know the answer. Standing outside waiting to board"
Cons: "We followed all carryon size and weight guidelines and passenger carried on bags much larger and heavier than ours. Why did we bother?"
Pros: "Cheap flight Was on time and got us to our destination on time"
Cons: "Had to pre-print our own boarding pass before getting to the airport or you pay 45 euros more if you don't. Lost my friend's luggage The price of bringing a bag is kind of ridiculous."
Pros: "The flight was fine. The on board staff was competent."
Cons: "I was not able to use the flight to Edinburgh so this information pertains to my flight from Edinburgh to Dublin. Myself and two friends on the same flight arrived at the airport very early because we were warned we needed extra time for customs. Little did we know that the extra time we needed was to make sure we didn't miss our flight due to the incompetence of the Ryan air staff checking baggage. But actually even before that, you need to be aware that you'll pay another $15 if you are in the same situation we were in and are unable to print your boarding pass. When we arrived to check baggage their automated system was not working. This appeared related to payment however there didn't appear to be anyone in the long line able to do this. We were subsequently sent back and forth about six different places in order to Just check our one piece of luggage each. One of my friends was directed to a separate line at one point and the agent started yelling at us while we were in line. There was only one poor woman who knew what she was doing having to handle several of us who were angry (not just us), as well as a long line of passengers trying to also check their bags. As I said I would not fly Ryan Air again if you paid me! In the long run you pay more between their "extras" and the aggravation."

Flight delayed over 2 hours because “technical malfunction”.

I missed the flight from Manchester to Dublin because of poor informations from Aer Lingus and the airport, no possibility to check in online, they don't respond to phone calls, I had to buy another tickets to enable me travel to Dublin from Manchester. I want my money to refund.

Late flight, very uncomfortable aircraft. Very very rude team

I were there 20min before departure and they didn’t let me on the board with 5 other people, after all they admitted it was their(Ryanair) fault.
