The boarding process was chaotic and haphazard. The unloading of the baggage was slow and frought with issues (frantic small women attendants trying to handle the oversized baggage and having jamming of the baggage belt).

My flight was delayed 12 hours overnight due to "weather" and since it was reportedly because of uncontrollable weather delta didn't have to do anything for me so I slept in the JFK airport overnight, they wouldn't even give a $59 pass to their sky miles club for the afternoon. It felt like an easy excuse so they wouldn't have to do anything since there were other airlines still flying out of JFK and to go CLE before my rescheduled flight which makes me believe it wasn't all weather. Since the flight was delayed 12 hours instead of being cancelled they wouldn't let me switch to a different airline either. Then, in the morning when it was rescheduled to it was again delayed because they first couldn't find a captain and then couldn't find a fort mate. We finally took off and arrived in Cleveland only to wait another 30 minutes for a gate and a ground crew that they couldn't find. I will never fly delta again."

The flight was delayed several hours with no update as to when we would be taking off. We finally boarded the flight and waited over an hour on the phone for the bag crew to come and load our bags. After landing in Cleveland, both of our check in bags never showed up and are still missing. This is the worst airport and flying experience I have ever experience

They ask for electronic vaccination status to be downloaded but then they ask to see it again!!! Whats the point of downloading?? Also economy class was allowed to board through business and were not told to go to a different line

So now even with a 200€ flight you get only water and a piece of chocolate, no more food. Aircraft was 30 minutes late and no information on connection flights.

My ticket was booked through Lufthansa, but the transatlantic leg of my trip was operated by United. When checking in with United in Newark, I received two boarding passes, one for each leg of the trip. I arrived on time in Dublin for my flight to Munich and tried to board the plane for Munich with the boarding pass I had printed in Newark. After scanning my ticket, the Lufthansa employees at the gate informed me that they had no record of me or my plane ticket in their system. I showed them the email confirmation for my ticket, but they still could not find any record of my ticket in their online system. The employees seemed more concerned with boarding all passengers as quickly as possible than assisting me. After being denied boarding, I had to go back through passport control to change my flight, and ended up getting to Munich nearly 6 hours behind schedule and missed an entire day of vacation. A Lufthansa employee told me that out of every partner in the STAR alliance, United is the ONLY airline they have had this problem with. I find this inexcusable, I will be AVOIDING ANY United/Lufthansa connecting flight from now on."

Upon purchasing the ticket, it stated that, checked bags would be $30 each, so I expected to pay only $30 for my second bag, being as my first checked bag came with the price of the ticket….instead, I was charged $75 for my second bag and not $30, like the price I saw… :-( very disappointing.. I was tricked.,.

Bad communication with the client. They told us when I asked several times that we would not lose our connection and that everything was fine and that was not the case. We lost the connection. No one told us anything. Another problem was that the girl in the boarding process removed the suitcases tickets from the boarding pass and did not want to return them, and held it without any cause. Without that tickets we can not claim the bags. The flight staff went looking for us. Pretty sad and disappointed by their service. I understand that they were causes outside the airline but must communicate to the client. They cannot remain silent and say nothing."

And when one of the luggages was completely damaged, it was replaced it with a brand new one which was fantastic. On the way back, we had some issues with the ticket because we didnt go to Morocco as planned which resulted in some trouble checking in. But the staff at the counter were quite helpful."

Good Morning - we were unable to take the flight from Dublin to Reykjavik because it was delayed and we couldn't risk missing out connection to Denver. At the beginning of our trip the flight from Reyykjavik to Dublin was canceled without telling us and we had to get a different airline on that leg as well. . . When we called the airline, they were closed and unable to help. When we called Kayak, i couldn't understand the person and they were unable to help as well! We purchased the insurance for the trip and sure hope that we can get some help from Iceland Air and from Kayak.

Cons: "Unreasonable TSA procedures in Iceland. Waste of time and precluded any time to get food or use the bathroom."

Cons: "Late boarding call and slow boarding process made flight nearly an hour late taking off. Their staff needs to do a better job getting people on the plane quickly to avoid lateness."

Cons: "The right half of the plane had no entertainment as the system wasn't working and the crew couldn't fix it. When I checked in I only had the option of a middle seat, so we were 3 cramped in a row, while the lady on the opposite side slept flat across her 3 seats that no one was sitting in."

On our flight from MCO to Iceland originally we were hassled by the flight attendants who demanded to see our receipt"

Pros: "Very kind & courteous staff. Plane was new and very clean, with awesome touch-screens in the back of every seat. The movie and music selection was also excellent. Our flight was only about half-full, so people were able to stretch out in rows of seats."
Cons: "It would have been nice if IcelandAir provided a meal for this transatlantic flight (or even a little bag of pretzels!), but considering the steal we got for this flight, it wasn't a huge deal. IcelandAir was generally fine. The customs process in Cleveland was atrocious. We had to go through TSA security again even though this was our final destination. Duty free items were not allowed through this security check; fortunately, one of the agents let my husband place our larger-than-3-oz liquids in a bag that was sent to the baggage claim. Especially for travelers like us who had been up for 20+ hours and flown across oceans, this was a source of significant stress and was generally terrible."

Cons: "The very big disappointment in this flight came at the end. Is CLE new to international arrivals? Or is Icelandair in a new international area? There were many long lines - first border patrol (only 3 agents), then customs (1 agent), then - and I have never seen this before - we all had to go through security again, as if at departures (1 scanner and metal detector) and leave our bags to be checked again. Then it became clear why - we had to walk through the length of the domestic gate area. We had to meet our bags again at baggage claim (after more waiting). The plane touched down at 7:15 and I did not leave the airport till 9:00."

I was concerned that I would miss my connection at Keflavik because our flight was late leaving Orly, so I asked one of the crew members to check with the captain. She came back in a few minutes to reassure me that all flights to the U.S. would be held in order to seat passengers on our plane. She also said that she expected my luggage would make the flight to Seattle--and she was right."
Cons: "For my flight from Orly, I assumed that the flight would leave from Terminal Sud, where I had arrived 12 days earlier. But no, check-in was in Terminal Ouest. A simple e-mail could have told me about the change. Instead, I lugged my bags from Terminal Ouest where I had dropped my rental car up to Orlyval to get to Terminal Sud . . . only to find out I had to go back again. Air travel is enough of a hassle already. Why can't communication be more efficient?"

Cons: "My plane was broken, they had no idea when and if we were going fly away. Once the plane was brought to the gate, mechanics had the engine apart inspecting it. Then they caused a fuel spill during fill up which caused the fire trucks to come. This was very discomforting for 300 people waiting for 4+ hours to get on their plane. Once on the plane internet did not work, and my in seat entertainment was rebooting often. I spent 7+ hours at Dublin Airport, sick with a sinus congestion... Plus all the restaurants and shops were closed due to it being after hours of their operation. Last time flying this airline."
Pros: "Your staff are very friendly. But you probably need more staff to help people with self check in as there were a few elderly people standing around not knowing how to use the self check in ."
Cons: "Was not happy about paying extra for my luggage . At the price I paid for my flight I would have expected a luggage allowance of one check in bag."

Cons: "We reserved specific seats by calling Aer Lingus directly 4 months prior to our trip. When we arrived in Dublin from Paris, we were told by a very uncaring Aer Lingus representative that those seats were not available and were assigned seats that split up our family. He acted as if he could care less. The food was average. I have never flown internationally and had to pay for alcohol. Seat space is never great in economy, but this was one of the worst. Luggage for our entire family was lost for 36 hours."

Cons: "As above plus my husband's seat arm was broken. The inflight entertainment system was a joke. Back of seat screens fitted but not working. Very distant ceiling screens and only one working before the whole system failed. Not acceptable on a long flight."

My brother and his daughter had their seats changed, too, and they were in middle seats 14 rows apart, so she flew by herself on an international flight all by hersel! My headphones wouldn't work correctly in the double jack, only getting one side. Why change the plugs? The flight attendant said that they wouldn't work and that she would get me a headset. Two hours into the flight I finally got a headset. The male flight attendant was great, but unfortunately we were dealing with others that totally ignored my two small requests for the entire 6 hour flight. Our flight to Dublin was awesome, but this flight back was very very disappointing!! Changed my while feeling about Aer Lingus"

Cons: "On Departure for Dublin, waited in long line to check in at Aer Lingus only to learn it was co chaired by British Airways, so Aer Lingus would not service us at all. We had no way of knowing since it was sold by Aer Lingus and had an Aer Lingus flight number. Tried to check in on line, but was unable. Waited for Aer Lingus customer service on telephone customer service for more than one hour and finally just gave up. Aer Lingus has no Customer Service at all. Do not deal with Aer Lingus under any circumstances. British Airways met our needs!!"
Pros: "There waa great variety in the entertainment feature."
Cons: "Boarding was absolutely chaotic. There was one call for priority members, and then a call for all remaining rows, stressing that it was final call. This caused a large crowd to rush to the gate and then disorganization when on the plane. Historically, its been much more efficient when you call batches of rows, which clearly prevents overcrowding and allows people more room to stow away carry on bags. Also, i was very disappointed by the food options. As a vegetarian, i had no manageable option because i hadnt preordered. I had no wifi during the days before the flight, i couldnt get online to do it. I find it surprising that you dont at least provide a meatless option, or at least stow away a few extra vegetarian meals. Also, i have never seen that option during booking, nor have i ever recieved an email to consider meal options. Overall, the accessability of meatless food is extremely disappointing."

Cons: "Our son's luggage did not make it to Barcelona with us. We arrived on Sunday. He was called Monday that a delivery service would bring to him that evening, but they did not show up. They were to come Tuesday morning, Tuesday evening, Wednesday morning and never showed up. He finally had to take a $35.00 cab to airport to get the luggage. NOT a good experience. The Aer Lingus support number just rang and rang, no one picked up for days! My daughter tried the main Aer Lingus connection but they referred us back to the same phone number. NOT good customer service."

I was told when boarding that not able to take a coffee that I had literally just purchased on board - I travel frequently and have NEVER been told this before.. I always buy a coffee and take on baord teh fligth as airline coffee sucks!This needs to be made clear if this in in fact an Aer Lingus policy. This was one of the many stupid rules that were constantly effected during the flight -" you can't do this, you can;t do that" and whilst i understand some are for safety - I and fellow passengers felt like we being scolded like school children"
Cons: "Showed up an hour and a half before departure time at Chicago OHare and there was no one staffed at the check in desk to print out boarding passes and they had no electronic kiosk to print out boarding passes either. There was just a sign that said call customer service. Then the several passengers that were never boarded for the afternoon flight due to the unavailability of staff were asked to pay $200 to get on the next flight due to "corporate policy." We refused and booked another airline. Horrible customer service."
