Aircrew was very very supportive helpful funny and accommodating. The flight itself was very smooth the pilot was very informative and we were very comfortable with all of the accommodations and concessions that were given. Really liked the Hub in Dublin that allowed us to do US Customs before getting back into the US to eliminate extra hassle and Rush their staff was always accommodating and very informative with signage every step of the way
This was the worst experience I've ever had with an airline. For the first wing of our international flight, we were stood in a boarding line for an hour, which was taxing because I am disabled, and then my husband and I were split up, and I was placed at the front of the plane. A flight attendant took my bag from me, which contained much needed medicine, and placed it in the overhead compartment. Because I am disabled, I needed my medicine accessible, and without my husband to reach it for me, I was stranded. My husband had previously communicated this at the gate, and they moved his seat closer but still several rows away from me, and in a center seat where he couldn't easily get up and assist me. We would have even paid extra to select our seats and to sit together, but there was no option for this. Luckily another passenger gave up her seat so that I could be with my husband for assistance, but the flight was deeply uncomfortable due to the delay in my medication and the overall conditions of the plane. For the second wing of our flight, we had the same lengthy boarding line, and somehow my husband and I ended up in adjoining center seats, which were exceptionally uncomfortable. Additionally, my husband is 6'5'' and we were both placed in broken seats - mine was stuck in a reclined position, and my husbands was stuck in a cramped upright position, with our shared armrest being broken as well. Much of the front of the plane was completely empty, and another passenger had been moved up on request, but when I requested that we be moved up to empty seats, the flight attendant I spoke with declined, leaving us in broken seats and extreme physical discomfort for the duration of a transatlantic flight. Other services throughout the flight were spotty, including simple food and beverage service and trash pickup. Flight attendants routinely forgot my husband and I and only offered items to folks on the aisle seats, and when I requested water on one occasion (to take with my medicine) I was ignored. At the end of our flight, I was barked at by a flight attendant to put my seat back up - enraging because I couldn't as my chair was broken, and because my earlier request for an unbroken seat was ignored! If my seat needed to be up for safety reasons, then Aer Lingus' staff placed me at risk by refusing to move me to a seat where this was possible. It took us several days to recover from the physical strain of this trip - not at all what we had hoped, coming back from our honeymoon. Overall, this was a deeply unpleasant experience and my husband and I will be avoiding Aer Lingus as well as encouraging all of our friends and family to avoid Aer Lingus as well
Absolutely the worst at baggage handling. Our baggage still has not been delivered. They couldn't find it in Dublin then when we got to Edinburgh they said the 2 bags were sitting in Dublin. After spending an hour filling out forms at the counter. We left for our hotel, bags arrived in Edinburgh at 505pm using my satellite tracker. Tried calling the numbers provided, no answer to their 24/7 service. Next morning the bags are still sitting at airport, no movement. Called different number provided by hotel in Sterling, the said it's souly the responsibility of the courier service now and they couldn't help. Completely ruined our travel plans, we must find clothes to purchase today instead of going to the museums we had purchased tickets for. This loss is costing us thousands in already paid hotels and services. No one takes any responsibility. I'll be contacting legal services on our return. We will never forget and I'll be a social advocate to avoid using this service.
I was disappointed with my experience on my Aer Lingus flight from Denver to Dublin. One of the biggest issues for me was the attitude of the cabin crew. They came across as cold, unfriendly, and unapproachable. There was very little warmth or friendliness, and I rarely saw anyone smile. I did not feel that the crew made passengers feel welcomed or cared for, which makes a significant difference on a long international flight. The cabin was also extremely cold and uncomfortable. What made this more frustrating was that we were instructed to put everything, including our blankets, underneath the seats at certain times rather than being allowed to keep ourselves covered. Considering how cold the cabin was, this was particularly uncomfortable. I also did not appreciate the tone used when giving some of these instructions. At times, the communication came across as unnecessarily loud and abrupt rather than polite and courteous. I understand that cabin crew have important safety responsibilities and passengers need to follow instructions, but those instructions can still be delivered in a professional, respectful, and friendly manner. Unfortunately, the lack of warmth and hospitality from the crew was the most disappointing part of my Aer Lingus experience.
No complaints. Food was good. Seats had good electrical connections for charging devices.
Boarding was ponderous. Seats are very cramped and not comfortable
Because of problem with aer Lingus, I couldn’t check in until just before the flight and was stuck in the middle seat
There was no flight. I booked a flight from Toronto to Bordeaux with a stopover in Dublin. I arrived in Dublin and the flight number I had didn't exist and the flight going to Bordeaux I wasn't on. I had to book a new flight with a different airline for later in the day and pay out of pocket.
They lost my baggage on my connecting flight and we’re an hour late so I nearly missed it
.Ealing could have been better but no complaints on everything else
The usb ports to charge phones laptops did not work.
Staff never asked passengers to bring their seat backs forward during landing. Was hoping to get a little relief from the passenger in front of me (I have long legs that I cannot stow in the overhead). Otherwise the flight was very pleasant.
Exorbitantly overpriced ticket. Flight was delayed as per usual with air Canada and there was zero refund or compensation.
Flight delay due to staff shortage. No snack or drinks served. Toilets had water collecting on the floor.
Because you didn't have the tarmac clear and then had to unboard a plane I missed my connecting flight to CLE. Cost me a day ... a 30 dollar hotel hamburger ... then the next day THAT flight was an hour late to arrive ...
French speaker should have an intelligible accent 4.5 hour flights with 2 hour delays should have more than a granola bar included
My only issue was the cost of the flight. I paid close to $900, and I’ve never experienced that before. Plus I had to pay for wifi on the flight. Otherwise, everything else was fine.
Delayed as usual with Air Canada. Checked the status of the fly online it said took off when the plain was still at the gate.
Very good except paying twice for seat selection. Once when I booked and again when I checked in.
We did not have seat assigned until almost the very end of boarding and my husband and I did not sit together I don’t know why even though we bought tickets 3 months in advance and checked in very early. We were not standby and we were treated as we had stand by tickets. I will never fly Air Canada again.
