Cons: "I booked a Lufthansa flight with a window seat. For some reason when i got to frankfurt i was told i was moved to a united flight. There is a reason i NEVER fly united. One, they moved me from a window seat to a middle seat, i changed the dates of my flight to make sure i was not going to seat in the middle for 9.5 hours. They also moved me to the very back row of the plane. The gate was a mess as one flight attendant was tyring to do an additional "security check" which included asking where are my suitcases that were already checked in as i am at the gate. This security check made a mess, flight attendant were pulling people n and out of line. Messy. When we got on the plane, maintenance=ce staff was still working on it. This made boarding slow, and we ad to wait for them to finish drilling before we could leave. I sit down in my little middle sardine box (another reason i dont fly united - leg room) to find out that by the time they got to the very back row they ran out of food. So a very nice lady was trying to find me something to eat which was very nice but shouldn't have happened. In general dirty bathrooms, crabby staff, shitty plane and a pilot that cannot handle bad weather. Bags took almost 40 minutes to get out when we got to American custom. NEVER FLY UNITED"

And if the end of the trip wasn't bad enough the beginning was a nightmare at newark with getting there and the security/tsa..Nobody wants to do their job just pass the buck and make it more chaotic. No wonder there were lines wrapping around terminal 3/4 times. I know this is not directly related to airline but since u insist on flying out of newark it is indirectly. They say la guardia is third world well then newark is fourth/fifth world. Chaos absolute chaos. Please god i will never have to fly united /Lufthansa out of newark again."

Cons: "A 5 hour Ryanair flight is a terrible thing... Delayed 35 mins, kept the cabin lights on and sold fags for the whole flight, even though we took off at 8:30pm. They used the seatbelt light to keep people sat down during each trolley service - come on, it there’s turbulence, you don’t serve drinks. Oh and I don’t know why they are allowed to say “Low fares airline” as it clearly isn’t."

Cons: "Plane seats are very uncomfortable. I thought it was just me on the way out but it was as bad on the return and even my husband was complaining of being uncomfortable. The seats made this journey seem much longer than our 9 hour flight to Florida earlier in the year and the backs of my legs still haven’t recovered from yesterday’s flight. I am 5ft 1in and the seats are too high off the floor and too deep for my legs to be comfortable and not have too much pressure in the wrong place. They need foot rests to allow legs to be raised and pressure eased."

We were expecting to show our passport and collect our luggage from the carrousel but didn't realise until after we went through the glass doors and had to wait over 40 mins for it to be brought to us. What was so astonishing- we were told we weren't the only ones this happened to. It would be very useful if cabin crew made the passengers aware of this to avoid it happening time after time with others/flights"

We watched (in the freezing cold) while the plane de-boarded and I'm thinking.....aren't they even going to clean the plane? I'm sure they go around and pick up trash but there is no way they would have time to clean the trays. Then we were whipped into the plane. The seats were the smallest I have EVER sat in. It was almost impossible to keep your arms off the arm-rests. I hate that you are penalized if you don't have a printed boarding-pass. We almost didn't as the web-site was down the day before we flew and we ALMOST couldn't get our boarding passes printed - due to no fault of ours. When we called to say the web site was down, there was NO HELP or understanding. Not sure I want to fly with Ryanair again."

Cons: "the flight seemed full and therefore, since it was very much delayed, the ground crew set about getting people to check in their carry on bags. I'm not sure why we were chosen, since we were not at the end of the line, and some in front of us and behind us were not asked to check their bags (which were actually larger than ours). In he plane we were unhappy to realize that there was enough space overhead for our bags. Had to wait an extra 20-25 minutes in London after and already very late flight. So: not the best."
