According to the locals, my misfortune was a common one, that Croatia Air has been neglecting to fix for years: The small planes that make the Zagreb to Dubrovnik flight can't actually complete the flight to Dubrovnik many times a year. The plane can barely make it to Dubrovnik when filled to capacity, and when the wind is high, it needs spare fuel to attempt the landing. High winds on small runways mean the plane often fails to land and needs to circle back around and try again. But it doesn't have enough fuel so they don't even try to fly to Dubrovnik, and land halfway across the country in Split instead. Adding a 5 hour bus trip to the end of 48 hours of sleepless flying was Not Good. Being on a bus ride without good air flow where most of the passengers took off their masks while the pandemic still raged was Not Good. Having missed my pickup from the airport and arriving at 4AM was Not Good. There not being enough taxis at the place the bus drops off at 4AM was Not Good. I ended up stumbling through a cold town in the middle of the night for an entire hour, dragging my luggage uphill for two miles. Croatian Airlines needs to fix their Dubrovnik route, so this stops happening. All the locals rolled their eyes and complained of how common this diversion is. Either put a better-sized runway at the airport so that planes can reliably land even in high winds, or put a plane with the fuel reserves to make the repeated attempts needed on this route, or both.

No explanations whatsoever, the craziest experience, completely messed our plans to get a bite up, I wish we were given some information ahead of time that we are going to be sitting in a single room zone. The flight was ok, but hellishly hot all the way."

Cons: "The flight was late boarding and late arriving in Munich. I had a connecting flight to make and that was a harrowing experience. I had no precedence offers the other passengers in deplaning. I was given no help in making my connecting flight. I had to queue up for border control. I had to go up and down numerous escalators. I was stopped by a policeman asking for papers which I had already given to border control. I had to take a train and change terminals. My connecting flight was departing from the farthest gate possible in the terminal. I was running the entire time, and I barely made it. Had I not been running, I would have missed my connection."

When I asked her if there was anything else she said that was the soonest flight she could find. When I checked my self I found and booked a flight for the 23rd. When I called back they refused to give me a refund."

The crew were sterling. The flight was fully packed, the chair I was assigned didn't have a screen to watch TV on, and other passengers stood inches away from my face while milling around near the toilets. Also, super narrow seats on row 30 A-C so pretty tight squeeze for a *ahem* larger gent such as myself. That said, flight was on time, food was fine, crew were competent and pleasant.

Aircraft was late, then back to on time, then late again. Food is just a cereal bar and water. For 200 euros.
It was during the holiday, me traveling as a female, in a foreign country, for the first time, by myself and I did not make it to check-in within appropriate time. The kayak support staff was fkg unreasonable!!! They stated that I voided my ticket, proceeded to cancel my flight and refused to put me on standby ((ALL BEFORE THE PLANE EVER TOOK OFF)). I will be telling everyone about the $1700 that I wasted on airfare with kayak, due to their unwillingness to have ANY sympathy or to hold up their end of travel protection that I purchased! DO NOT PURCHASE FLIGHTS THROUGH KAYAK!!!!
All was good for the most part. The music selection was real poor. I tried to listen to country and the songs were like from a playlist and not current but new singers. The selection was VERY limited. The movies were limited too.
The plane was tiny and filled with very tall Icelandic residents. The crew were disinterested in the passengers. We got 8oz of water and a cereal bar for a 3.5 hour international flight.

I was disappointed that they did not honor my request, which was made online and supposedly held in the booking system. Heathrow is another story - terrible airport, no decent food. Oh, and BA even charges for water on the European flights. How low can you go?"

I mean. Who came up with this combo? there were no screens, no in flight entertainment unless you wanted to run down your phone battery or rent an ipad for $10. I was truly disappointed."

I Even though I made it through Customs in the shortest time possible, and back through security, I still managed to narrowly make my second flight. They were final-calling my name and actually taking off earlier than expected. Had I been 2 more minutes late, my flight would probably have taken off. I didn't check any bags either, so had I checked one, I don't think I would have made my second flight."

In today's travel industry where it seems customer comfort is less and less a priority, This plane and Air Canada were a welcome and pleasant experience"

More check in people are needed to improve this process. Once we got up to the front of the line (after about 1 1/2 hours) there was a short line for those who did not check in prior to getting in line - why would people who don't follow the process get an advantage?"

It seemed like forever before we received our snack and then we're told we couldn't use our tables. I think they should have started the snacks earlier as it was quite a big plane and it probably would take quite a long time to serve everyone and the worst part of it all was that I had asked for a can of pop, so I had to hold my can of pop, my glass pop and try to get my snack out of the package which was not easy at all."

It could have folded into my carry on but the purpose of a garment bag is so you do not have to wrinkled it in your luggage. He moved me to the side and told me I needed to check it in, I was NOT allowed to hang it in the plane b/c i'm not a business passenger. WTF. After 10 min of waiting on the side I folded up my garment bag and shoved it in my purse - after another 5 min he gave me my luggage and told me to head toward the plane. Worst. Flight. Ever"
Pros: "The flight attendants were GREAT. The seats are crammed so close together that I had trouble getting my under the seat suitcase wedged in. On other airlines, the suitcase fits very nicely underneath the seat, allowing me to rest my feet on the suitcase. I am on the short side, so having the suitcase to rest my feet really helps. On the flight to Toronto, my daughter had to do it for me. On the return flight, the sweet flight attendant put the bag in and took it out for me. I really appreciated that"

In realit, the stewards on the flight just gave us a card with a customer service number, said call this number and they will get you accommodations. So no one was at the gate to meet us and no one ever answered the phone!! We were on hold for 48 minutes. We were stuck in the airport for ten hours, through the night, until another flight could be arranged. We had to find someone on United to get us on a new flight. My daughter and I were at the end of 24 hours of flying and expected that what we were told would be carried out. I was not impressed with the way this was handled and no apology or compensation from Air Canada for the delays and sleeping on the airport floor!!"

Cons: "The entertainment was quite limited if you didn't download the Canada Air App before boarding. I got a bit of a shock when I sat down and found myself looking at the back of a seat. No entertainment for a transatlantic flight? Shocking. If you had an iPad you could log into their wifi and watch limited tv programs. Movies could only be viewed through their app. The seating was quite cramped too! I'm average height and foknd that the leg space was v limited!"

Pros: "The flight crew were nice and friendly, though they weren't very on top of trash pickup, but they were chipper and that's always better than grumpy crew that are super-efficient. Also, our luggage made it with us despite a tight connection."
Cons: "53 minute hold time to call center (before my call was even answered) to order vegetarian meals for flight (the day before flight) -wish that could be done online, vegetarian meal request not transferred to new flight after we missed our initial flight due to first flight delay, lights not working properly for half of flight (sleeping child under spotlight), the pasta dish, collecting garbage in my seat throughout flight (particularly after meal service), cramped seating, lack of entertainment, and they are now charging for alcoholic beverages on international flights. I'm not a big drinker, but I still enjoyed that perk."

United gets 5 stars in customer service! Lately other airlines have had problems with their flights. I got caught without a flight, and United employee Z Hassan went above and beyond in helping me find a needed flight. I cannot thank him enough for his initiative and kindness towards me during this stressful time. My entire rebooking and flight with United was wonderful!
Our flight was delayed and we missed our connecting flight in LA. Staff literally rolled his eye's when my husband requested creamer for his coffee, they didn't have enough pretzels. And we had to wait an hour and a half for a hotel voucher when we arrived in LA. Over all it was a horrible experience. Don't recommend United Airlines.
