Pros: "Things went as planned in the beginning. The young lady who checked me in at the BA counter was very friendly and helpful. The preboarding and boarding went very smoothly as well."
Cons: "The plane boarded as usual then things went wrong. There was apparently something that went wrong with furl getting into a separate storage tank (that's scary in itself...how does that happen?) and they announced that they couldn't get the fuel tank to fill completely and the mechanics needed to get a "special tool" to complete the process. Then they needed some "tool" to drain the fuel from the mysterious storage tank. That was done and they announced that they had decided that they had plenty of fuel to make it to Denver. An hour and a half later of sitting in a sweltering hot cabin the y announced that the mechanical issues were taken care of BUT we'd have to wait another 20 minutes to take off because of the traffic waiting to leave Heathrow."

Pros: "I did a round trip to Paris. 1st portion on American Airlines. The difference was astounding as to friendliness, service, food, wine and entertainment the Brit Air back to NYC from Paris was 1000 times better than the 1st portion to Paris on American."

Cons: "I was not let onto the flight as my passport was expiring in less than 3 months and the EU has restrictions against this. My disappointment stems from the fact that I was not given any warning that this was a concern before I arrived at the airport. So, I was unable to use the ticket and have been subsequently told that I cannot be refunded for any part of the ticket. As a consequence, I will not be using Finnair again at any point in the future."

Cons: "Two pieces of our luggage (my wife's wheelchair and walker) were not forwarded to Heathrow from Venice as I requested and expected. I don't blame the plane crew, but the ground personnel for not following through on what they promised to do. Venice airport did not seem to be very efficient or competent. Our daughter and her boyfriend were traveling with us and could not get seat assignment until they were literally ready to board the plane, so consequently, there checked luggage was also not on the plane in Seattle. We have promised to get our luggage today (9/28/16). I hope so, you have my wife's wheelchair which is making it very hard for us to get around."

Cons: "BA is the national flag carrier, operating from the newest terminal at the country's top airport. You would think that they could manage, in the 21st century, to get us to our flight on time, using an airbridge instead of 30 year old buses. Said buses were also too few in number so boarding took the thick end of 40 minutes as they shuttled back and forth. BA are a complete and utter joke. There is no excuse for this level of penny-pinching inadequacy."

Cons: "The problem with random seat allocation is if you pay to sit somewhere then that should be fine, no. Today I was constantly asked if I wouldn’t mind swapping seats so the passenger could be closer to their partner which is always going to be an inferior seat or worse sat in the middle seat. Their random seat allocation therefore can inconvenience seat paying passengers not a quality experience."

We and the other passengers had to constantly last to the gatw screen to see any updates. We were left in the dark until the very moment we started boarding."

I have more to say about service & crew - but no space"

Cons: "We paid £80 a person which is over double what it costs us to fly there with vueling on less notice They then moved the boarding location after everyone had lined up causing us to loose out place in the queue They made us check our cabin bags which we were warned could happen but is never appreciated The seats were uncomfortable and very cramped for leg room The touched down while not totally their control was very harsh and a panel over the engine actually slid open on touch down which is a little concerning There was also a 20 minute delay taking off"

Cons: "If RyanAir reads these reviews can I make a small suggestion that would make a big difference? The plastic cups provided with drinks are tall and narrow making them unstable inflight.Simply changing to a more squat shape would increase passenger comfort."

The staff on the flight back weren't overly great and one accused a bloke of snatching when actually his bag was just heavy. She also had attitude towards others which made me think, whats she going in this job."

At stansted then had to get a long bus to the terminal and wait on the bus for 10 minutes because they couldn't open the doors. Luckily after a sprint to the station we made the last stansted express of the evening (£28 return each - 'London' airports for you)"

Cons: "There was no notification from cabin crew to advise us to ensure we collect our luggage BEFORE we go through the glass doors at Gatwick. We were expecting to show our passport and collect our luggage from the carrousel but didn't realise until after we went through the glass doors and had to wait over 40 mins for it to be brought to us. What was so astonishing- we were told we weren't the only ones this happened to. It would be very useful if cabin crew made the passengers aware of this to avoid it happening time after time with others/flights"
