Had to find a desk in another terminal to check bag, then pay an another desk for said checked bag. We saved money by ticketing this way but we almost missed our flight"
Pros: "The crew was very professional and helpful. If you travel Business Class it is very pleasant. But if you are traveling Economy the boarding management and economy seats suck! Many people were complaining about how narrow the economy seats are on the A320/330 aircraft."

It wasn't until I was off of the train that I went to grab my passport and credit card and realized my tiny little purse was gone. I had to rush to the US Embassy, get a new passport, and then rush back to the airport. I didn't arrive until 40 minutes after my flight had left and I was a nervous wreck. Unfortunately Lufthansa staff could not care less. The guy at the ticket counter even looked at my new urgent passport that had the issue date listed as today, so clearly this all had just happened as it was only 10:50am still. What did Lufthansa do? Well they told me if I wanted to fly out the same day, I would have to pay 2700 Euro additional! My jaw dropped and then he said I could fly out tomorrow for an additional 675 Euro instead. I was still in shock as I felt like I had just been taken advantage of with my stolen passport and credit card and now it's happening again. I asked if there was any way he could find something cheaper and he said that I paid so cheap for this flight that I would need to speak with the agency I booked with to help me out more and then he dismissed me. Let me have you know that I booked this fare during an amazing sale that Lufthansa was having and I booked it directly through their website and now it was being held against me. There was no offer to pay something like a $200 change your flight fee. Instead he let that plane leave with an empty seat because I didn't have the 2700 Euro to pay him. Here I was, alone, nervous, in a foreign country, and I had to get my thoughts together the best I could and I immediately started looking up my own flights. I ended up having to book a flight with a different company and just forfeiting any kind of credit that Lufthansa would have applied to their overly exorbitant priced flights. Good job Lufthansa for being the worst customer care service I have ever experienced... and I have flown over 20 airlines and over 100 flights."
Pros: "I used to travel on Lufthansa almost exclusively until I had a very disturbing incident in Munich with a flight attendant. I refused to fly Lufthansa for quite a few years after that. That being said, the crew were attentive to passengers and the meals were reasonable. The seats were more comfortable than on LOT and Austrian. There were quite a few decent choices among the media during the flight."

This is completely unacceptable. I have received no communication at all from Lufthansa to explain why our bags were not loaded onto the plane, even though we saw them out the window, on the cart, next to the plane, before door closure. I am wondering if someone at Lufthansa decided it would be fun to ruin our vacation?"

In particular, Qantas is much much closer to business class than to economy class in it's premium economy product. Lufthansa is just not delivering value to this segment."

Pros: "I flew in Business Class from JFK to Munich and then back to JFK via Frankfort. Both flights were on time and very smooth overall in both directions. The cabin crew was good both ways and all spoke English well. Lufthansa long haul flights still use the older 2 x 2 x 2 seating arrangement (unlike the more modern and common 1 x 2 x 1 arrangement where all seats have aisle access)...so if you don't want someone crawling over you trying to get to the toilet while you are trying to sleep be sure to choose a center seat (both with direct aisle access.) While not totally uncomfortable, the Lufthansa business class sleeper seats are narrower...less well padded...and have less recline options than those used by most other long haul airlines, especially the very narrow foot-wells. The pillows and blankets could be better too. The food was OK - but not on a par with what most other airlines serve on long haul flights. The JFK to Munich flight was non-problematic in all respects. However, there was a screaming baby in my aisle (Row 4 on a 747-8 only 2 seats away from me) on the Frankfort to JFK leg...which I found TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE."
Cons: "What airline would permit a lap baby (less than 2 years old...a periodic screamer...and totally unmanageable by its solo-travelling mother) to occupy it's Business Class section on a 7+ hour flight - while inconveniencing (and aggravating) all other nearby Business Class passengers who paid thousands of dollars/euros to ride in Business Class so they don't have to put up with this kind of nonsense? The answer is: "LUFTHANSA!!! And YES, this actually happened on my Frankfort to JFK flight (LH 400 on 23 January 2017.) I'm not sure if the woman in question paid for two seats or not but this unmanageable kid finally calmed down and fell asleep - but he did so in the seat next to her. If this unmanageable lap kid was allowed to do everything he did (including to use a Business Class seat for free IF that is what actually happened) then this just adds insult to injury. WAKE UP LUFTHANSA!!! People pay huge sums to ride in Business Class to avoid this situation - and it's time you BANNED this situation from even occurring."

I just closed my eyes and let it pass. Economy plus next time? I have long legs."

Cons: "We upgraded 7 travelers for priority boarding. However as we got through check in, 2 of us were told we had to check our carry on. Mind you our carry on was the same size (exact same suitcase) as 2 others in our party who did not have to check in their bags? "Priority Boarding is now only €4.99. Be the first on board to store your cabin bag and relax in your seat before take-off." I believe I am entitled to a refund based on the info on above taken directly from the Aer Lingus website."
Cons: "Extremely uncomfortable. The seats were too close together and not enough room, but overall the airline is great. Will travel with them again, but will travel business class next time."
Pros: "Better food than on British Airways flight from San Francisco to London. More comfortable on Are Lingus than on British Airways flight from San Francisco to London."

Cons: "The cabin lights after dinner were supposed to go off so people could sleep. The lights were going on and off uncontrollably the last few hours of the flight. Flight attendant said the plane had issues with the "control panel because it was an old plane". The worst part was when a female flight attendant wouldn't move her feet over a few inches while sitting in her chair, so that I (a pregnant woman) could use the closest bathroom to my seat in the back cabin. I had to ask her twice and both times she confirmed "She was on her break and would not move her feet" so that I could use the bathroom. Also note, the seatbelt sign was off but that wasn't even her excuse. The bathrooms were dirty and the toilet seats need to be replaced to be asked to sit on those is degrading!"

The Aer Lingus flight was fine, but Vanama, the middle agency that youhave processed my tickets through- caused me a lot of stress. I called Vanama, who rudely put me on morethan 30- minute hold on the phone, told me that Aer Lingus would not dealwith them, but the customer directly. I knew by the look on the AerLingus(Cristina) staff that there was a problem---she went ahead issued mea boarding pass, told me to go to the ticket counter in Dublin, and ask forhelp. After going from one floor to another, and another, to twodifferent staff-the problem sorter at Aer Lingus told me, Vanama never issued the ticket. That they should not have let me board the plane in Madrid, but he said he took care of the mess. Now you want to know how my flight went."

Cons: "The plane was dirty and old, the food horrible, cramped seats, dirty and non functioning bathrooms, stressed out and inattentive staff, poor coordination of seating families together (I was told my seat was given to a woman so she could sit with her adult daughter...I wasn't asked, just told), the flight was 1.5 hour delayed, my bag was lost because the incompetent staff member in Italy didn't give me a bording pass for the Dublin to LA flight (I'm still waiting over 24 hours later to find out what's happened to my luggage). Overall, this flight was a nightmare and a huge let down after flying to Rome on British Airways. I can't say enough about how wonderful that flight was..Aer Lingus was a big disappointment and a poor substitute for BA. Very unsatisfied customer!"

Cons: "The seats are too small. I'm 5'11 and had to have my legs in the aisle even though there was nothing under the seat in front of me. The sound system for movies and pilots was hard to understand - not clear. Aisles too narrow."

Cons: "The tickets we were assigned were separate. I have no idea why you would assign a couple separate seats, but thankfully they were both window seats and excellent bargaining chips. They partnered with United to get us home and only booked out luggage to O'Hare, which was not our final destination. They lost two identical bags along the way from Barcelona to O'Hare. My bet is they're being rifled through in Dublin right now."
Cons: "We were not seated together. Unable to choose seats in advance or contact them in advance by phone as closed for holiday."

Pros: "I've traveled Aer Lingua several times and been pleased enough to keep choosing AL for my transatlantic trips, however this, the on February 4th 2017 was my last favorite because this time i felt the low-budgetness of travel. there was less leg room, the food was edible, the in-flight A/V was not worth the effort of trying to watch our listen and the crew in my section not very attentive. Having said that, this was a one time mediocre experience that I'm reviewing and hasn't put me off AL at all - it's a good airline and I will continue flying with them."
Cons: "I'm soooo upset about the service after my flight canceled. 1.the staff ignored me when I asked if I could have a VIP to rebook my tickets earlier because my mom got cancel and was going to do the surge . But he went away and never came back, no any response of YES or NO. 2.I don't know why the airline company still need 11 hours to rebook the tickets with all our flight information and our passport liscen numbers already , making us waiting till 3 am at the airport. 3. I asked my boyfriend to talk to the staff on phone, and the staff told my BF that he didn't know my English was not good. I said to him loudly that I had told him , but the manager besides said "don't shout at my staff"to me, even without asking me what happened . Cons: "Couldn't check in for the second leg of the flight to the US, neither on-line nor at the departing airport, had to go to connections in Dublin. I flew to the US many times and this is the first time an airline IT system does not allow to check in for the US destination. The food was very mediocre. Inflight entertainment didn't work properly."
Cons: "There was no complimentary food at all not to mention about baverages and hot drinks. Te flight was pretty long, almost 3 hrs so I was expecting litlle bit more, especially after 8 hrs connecting flight."

Cons: "The seat in front of me was broken so every time the passenger in front of me reclined, she was basically in my lap."
Pros: "We were flying from Chicago to Paris and I choose a later connecting flight to make sure there were no issues. We arrived on time and asked to get on the earlier connection if there was room. Initially we were offered the change for a fee (those are the rules) but we were not willing to pay the extra expense and began to leave the counter. We were then offered the change at no charge. We were very thankful as this change/getting to Paris earlier allowed some sleep time to get over our jet lag faster. I flew Aer Lingus a few years before and was pleased so choose them again for this trip and they did not disappoint. I am a fan."

Letting customers use the bathrooms in business class and receiving the same airconditioning would have been humane."

Recovering from a concussion obtained when a car hit me while I was walking, but still sensitive to things such as light and noise. When asked to open the shade while landing there was a hesitation but at least they allowed me to leave the shade down at my window for this portion of the flight."

US Customs and Passport Control at Seatac was disorganized and downright surly. My spouse and I were separated on the flight and there is no room for adult bodies to sit with so many seats across without being pressed uncomfortably into strangers for nine hours. It is nearly impossible to sleep under such inhuman conditions. Shame on British Airways for putting profit over service and comfort."

We double checked our seats 19 hours before the flight, show up and the plane was switched we now have an aisle and a middle seat for the 8 he flight. Very stressful. Had to get up a LOT."
