The rntertainment choices were very limited unless you enjoy superhero movies or a very limited range of audio/musical selections. So it goes in coach class."

Cons: "The male flight attendant who handed out the complimentary drinks and snacks acted a bit strangely. I was very thirsty, and I asked him if I could keep the rest of the can of soda. He neither said yes nor no, but rather completely ignored what I said and just poured my drink and moved on. I was a mildly annoyed, but figured maybe it was policy and he was shy and didn't want to debate the matter. When he took care of the older couple behind us, however, things got really strange. He asked them whether they wanted pretzels or peanuts, but they misheard him and asked for a ginger ale. I happened to know that he did have ginger ale, since my wife had just gotten one, but rather than just pouring the old folks a drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" They misheard again and asked him whether he had a diet ginger ale. Again, rather than just pour them the drink, he repeated himself. "Peanuts or pretzels?" This went round and round a few more times -- like a poorly designed computer UI that refuses to accept anything except the correct input -- before the old couple finally figured out the disconnect and picked their snacks before their drinks. Very weird."

The pilot even said good bye in person to the customers leaving the plane, I really appreciated it :) The whether conditions in Seattle were very bad (windy, bumpy, rain, and night) and the pilot landed the plane as a pro! An announcement was made that in Atlanta which is Delta hub, there were no flight attendants for the flight so we had to wait for another crew to fly in. That's just unporfessiknal. To make matters worse, the gate agents didn't make announcements even if just to say we know this isn't good and we will update you asap even if just to tell you we are still waiting on word. Total silence and seeing the gate agents laugh and talk amongst each other was pretty bad."

Cons: "The first class accommodation isn't as good as advertised. The seat is supposed to completely recline allowing you to sleep. Unfortunately if you're 6 foot or taller there isn't enough room. Other airlines like Emirates gives you more room in their business class so it's disappointing to see United 1st class is so cramped. The screens for the onboard entertainment system in first class are lower quality then those used in coach."

When it came time to board the international flight, they screwed up our boarding passes and made us wait until the end to board. We were zone 1, priority boarding. The tv screens were very small and so glitchy I stopped watching my movie halfway through. The connector flight from philly to NYC was much more comfortable and had beautiful screens."

First landing attempt had to be aborted, the landing not being cleared by the control tower. Then we cruised, circling over the Ocean, and the lights of the city again. Finally we landed. Taxiing on the tarmac was interrupted many times, and took overall 30 minutes. The pilot kept informing us. I was probably not the only passenger that had and urgent need to reach a bathroom... Of course, Delta should not be blamed"

Seats and food extremely uncomfortable
The flight was delayed by an hour. We had a connection in Frankfort continue to JFK. After boarding, we heard that the Tower had put us on hold. We waited another hour before taking off. We missed our connection had to stay at a hotel woke up at 4:30 to make our rebook. Instead of being home on Sat at 8pm, we arrived on Sunday 2pm. On 4 hours sleep. Great !! I would like to avoid Lufthansa at all costs. They did not stand up for their screwup on the delay.

Skipped a few rows with drinks and then told them there was no time to bring even a glass of water. Fortunately another crew member (who we also asked as they went by) brought water to those she had skipped who wanted it. My TV monitor was not working. Aging planes - need a thorough cleaning. The announcements were garbled and very difficult to hear."

Cons: "Ridiculous policy that couldn't get seat until 23 hours in advance, then that wasn't even true. Then misinformed me about what kind of seat I had been assigned. Then insisted I check a bag that did not need to be checked. Then the food was inedible. Flight happened to be late so I missed my connection, and they offered some more misinformation in that regard; There were of course human beings (staff) to deal with, but they had been reduced by Lufthansa's rules and systems so they were just robots, repeating over and over again inflexible policies. Horrible!"

The biggest issue was the extreme delays from Lufthansa that ate into a 4+ hour layover that I should have had at LAX instead I arrived at the opposite terminal from my LAX flight with no time to get through customs and onto the plane I missed the plane by 10 minutes and had to book a hotel that wasn't paid for because it was Lufthansa's fault and not United which then put me and my family home a full 24 hours later than was originally planned."

Cons: "The scheduling of the in flight events made no sense. The cabin was dimmed for take off (logical, given that it was a red-eye). However, once we were at altitude, the lights were put back on to serve dinner. Several people were woken up by this and it took like 1.5 hrs because its a big plane. Also, it was like 9-10pm local time by this point so dinner made no sense! Then the lights were dimmed and people tried to sleep. The lights were turned on 1.5 hrs prior to landing to serve a light breakfast. So, 6.5 hr red-eye turned into about 3.5 hrs of actual sleeping time. I would've preferred to be left alone and given a bigger breakfast."

After missing the flight the hotel vouchers was provided but we were asked to report in 2 hours (i.e 4AM) so think abou whole night was literally wasted. No wifi on the aircraft nothing decent to eat on a flight scheduled during the dinner hour"

Pros: "Not often do you feel like you really "welcomed aboard." This was not the case on our flights to and from Calgary. The staff was friendly and seemed to enjoy their jobs. That was refreshing. I did like the Westjet Connect feature. You don't have a TV screen in the back of each seat. You download the app and you get to watch TV, Movies, News all on your own device for free. A nice plus is that you can change all your devices with USB power port at each seats you never run out of a charge."

It was only compounded by the fact that when we were landing, another attendant insisted I put seat completely upright, and when I told her it had been broken the entire trip, she began forcefully shoving my seat. Not awesome."

Cons: "Late leaving, when boarding in CPH had to wait in extremely hot area once past the desk where our boarding passes were scanned and then the area where we had to queue just prior to boarding the plane was glass and therefore extremely hot. The worst issue was that there was one family with extremely loud children with the parents doing nothing. I saw a steward way up the plane looking down at them at one stage while serving another passenger but she did nothing. I like children but this was constant with the father actually encouraging the children to make more noise once he realised that other passengers were annoyed. There were plenty of other children on the plane who were behaving. Although SAS staff were aware of this they did nothing to ensure the comfort of the other passengers. One friend of mine stood for about 40 minutes at the back of the plane and another for about 20 minutes to get away from this constant noise as it was so loud and persistent. I had to listen to music to block it out.SAS staff should have intervened because this was very loud and as I have said constant i.e. every few seconds for most of the flight."

I finally emailed vayamas/kayak to cancel and 5 days later received a reply that there was no cancellation refund. Apparently Kayak provides a no communication/no refund policy. My travel companion had the opposite experience with Expedia."

Cons: "We arrived at Berlin-Tegel two hours before our flight, as is generally recommended for air travel... to find that there was no one working to check us in to our flight, and no option for automated boarding passes. We had to wait for a half an hour before a desk attendant for SAS showed up to begin checking people in specifically for our flight. We were told by floor staff that desk staff usually don't even arrive until two hours before the flight they are supposed to check in. Then when they arrived we were told we had been waiting in the wrong line (priority) and had to get at the back of the regular line. There were no signs, so we had no way of knowing this. Then someone else told us one line was for if you already had your boarding pass, the other was for if you didn't: luckily we had chosen the right one, but a bunch of other people had to move again. One passenger mentioned to staff that it would really help if there were signs (there were monitors, but they were blank) but she was ignored. The line was massive and there was only one desk agent, so it took a long time. Anyway by the time we finally got through security we only had 20 minutes before boarding. I don't even know how everyone else behind us made it onto the flight, or if they did. At our gate there were literally ten seats in the waiting area. So of course everyone waiting for our flight was clustered around, standing awkwardly, and couldn't help blocking all the walkways. Then when we thought we were finally boarding the plane we just got onto a shuttle bus to go all the way across the airport to where our plane was waiting. Overall, pretty ridiculous. I have not flown out of Tegel before so I'm not sure how much of this fiasco was the airline's fault and how much was due to the airport itself. But we were very frustrated by the time we finally took off, and will probably avoid both (Tegel and SAS) in the future if at all possible."

Cons: "The airline lied to us and told us the flight was cancelled when in fact it wasn't. It was the connecting flight was overbooked from Dublin to Boston, and because it was they decided to pull us continuing on to Boston out of line and left us stranded in Berlin. They initially gave us the excuse it was cancelled but in fact it took off fine. We 10 people had to then wait 2+ hours in line trying to find alternative flights to get home. The 1 person behind the desk was slow and didn't actually complete the paper work properly. She had attempted to book me on a passage on British Airways but didn't do the paperwork correctly. I reported to the British Airways desk and found that she hadn't in fact done anything. It was to the British Airways person who actually got me home properly and safely. I would not recommend them any more to anyone. They didn't reimburse me, they didn't even attempt to tell me the truth, they didn't even do their job correctly. I recommend to others to fly a different airline."

She clearly resents her job. 2) The plane itself was very old and not well maintained. The audio jack for the in-flight entertainment was broken and I could not watch anything. My wife complained about the touch screens being faulty and her audio system was bad. Also, the carpet and seat fabric was torn. 3) The food was disgusting. I mean, really bad. 4) There was a charge for alcohol whereas British Airways was complimentary. 5) Overall, I will never fly Aer Lingus again. It was the worst flying experience in memory."

Cons: "Worst flight experience I've ever had and I'm 70+ years old. In Dublin we were diverted from JFK to Hartford due to "mechanical problems" and told we'd be met at the gate and provided ground transportation to JFK. Approximately 30 others going to either JFK or Boston were told the same thing and joined us on a half empty flight to Hartford. When we landed there was no representative at the gate, no ground transportation provided, and no effort to help us. A little investigation on cell phones revealed both the Boston and JFK flights left on time (and I'm guessing full). Needless to say the customers were quite upset. Some even raised their voices which caused the kid representatives of Aer Lingus to call the state troopers (really). When the troopers did nothing the Aer Lingus reps locked themselves in their office rather than deal with their customers. After 2 hours of waiting for the promised ground transportation we gave up, rented a car, and drove ourselves to our destination at our own expense. We were never provided even a free drink. Horrible. Lies upon lies upon lies. I'll never consider flying with them again"
Pros: "The crew was VERY friendly and attentive. They responded quickly to requests and were very pleasant. Everyone was showed attention to details and put customer comfort at the forefront. They allowed people to relocate to seats allowing for more room and comfort once everyone boarded and empty seats were identified. The snacks and meals were tasty and generous. The entertainment options offered something for everyone - great music and movie choices. I would definitely fly Aer Lingus again."

Cons: "Aer Lingus operated the flight. Haphazzard ticketing/check-in procedure would have been stressful if it wasn't clear that everyone else on the plane was there in line too. Both legs of our trip with Aer Lingus were on older planes, that had obviously flown a lot of miles. It was a short flight, so food wasnt a necessity, but no beverages were complimentary. Given airline security, water, at least, should be complimentary on any flight."

Cons: "The entertainment system wasn't great. The earphones quality was quite bad and felt really uncomfortable. Unfortunately, AerLingus still has that double pronged plugs and I wasn't able to use my personal set (actually, I could but sound would only work on one side). I'll definitely fly with them again, only next time I'll bring an attachment for me to be able to use my headphones."

Plane seats were significantly smaller than on other airlines' international flights. Can't see any reason to fly Aer Lingus again."

With the delay finding the counter we almost missed getting through passport control and needed the airport staffer to get us ahead in the line to make the flight. A tense start......."

Cons: "There's no aer lingus desk at marseille airport. I arrives a few minutes late and nobody could help me. I missed my flight. Ryanair staff have me aer lingus's phone number to rebook for the day after, and of course on the phone she told me that I had to do it online."

Cons: "We had a terrible experience at the Aer Lingus desk in Paris. We got there two hours early for our flight and there was already a long line at the desk and no agents at the counter. Finally some agents arrived started checkng people in. After 15 min in line, they told us that if we were flying to the U.S., our flight was delayed and we would not make our connection, and to get out of line and wait. After 20 more minutes, they said that was a mistake and get back in line. I waited for approximately an hour and a half in line there, and had to run to my flight. There was no effort made to hurry us through security or any apologies."
