Pros: "After almost completely adapting to the spartan amenities of US domestic airlines, my recent SWISS flight had a too-good-to-be-true quality that rendered my travel companion and I giddy with delight. My dinner (one of three food services) consisted of chicken, potatoes, steamed broccoli, salad, a dinner roll with butter, gruyere, and a strawberry tart... included cream and sugar signaled an inevitable coffee service. This was accompanied by complimentary wine and sparkling water, and heavy-weight stainless cutlery. The seat reclination was good, and the in-flight entertainment was a cut above. Coming off many Frontier flights with pay-for-beverage service, no leg-room, and un-reclining seats, it was about as good as coach can get. I'm actually looking at SWISS routes first before I plan my next vacation."

We are living in 21 century and most transatlantic airlines have WiFi ! Where’s Austrian did not have it!"

What I really didn't like is that I called Kayak to include my Global Entry number on my boarding pass. They said it would be there and when I printed it, it wasn't. So coming back into the states and thru customs took waaay longer than it should have with those chaotic and ridiculously long lines. I didn't bring my Global Pass card with me and will from now on!"

Cons: "As I was flying from London Heathrow back to Vienna, I had a carry-on that was allowed on my flight with Austrian from Vienna to London. My carry-on weighed 8 kg, like is required by the rules. While boarding my flight, the woman at the counter told me my bag had to be checked because there were too many carry-ons on the flight. I asked her that I keep my bag because I had medication in there, and she didn't listen to me at all. She just kept repeating that i have to check my bag, and then took my bag from me and gave it to the baggage crew there. I didn't want to make a huge scene because the flight is only 2 hours and I hoped i Could deal without my medication during that time, but I found it incredibly, incredibly rude and awful to not listen to a passenger."

I inquired about paying to change destination city and or seat to a premium seat (for the 9+ hour flight) when I recvd the reservations for the new flights that were made at the airport around 8am for flights that left at around noon and 3pm. I was told no better seat(s) was available. However, a half hour before the flight was boarded several announcements were made regarding all the upgrades that were available. Liars annoy me."

Pros: "None of the seats reclined, even the premium seats you pay extra for. I know since I payed for them. Seats are very hard and the boarding process is the worst. They march you out after already standing in the terminal, since there are no assigned seats (typical low cost). I payed for a assigned seat extra, but still had to wait in line, just the one for priority. Then once you go outside of the terminal, you wait again in the weather until they allow everybody to board at same time (not sure how the whole priority line works, since you only get priority to get out of the building). Seats where very hard and did not recline (something you are not worn about when you buy the ticket). The seats were also so flat your neck hurts if you want to sleep. After 3 hour flight the in the late evening it was not comfortable. No food or drinks, only for purchase . They were the same price as the staff in the terminal, so don't bother buying to take on board. Low cost airline, low cost experience is what you need to expect."

The staff lied to us and wanted to keep us in Granada - they lied and said that our flight to Tel-Aviv from Barcelona was cancelled and that we need to stay another night in Granada and fly the next day. After we insisted on flying to Barcelone anyway (although they said they would not take care of us and all hotels in the city are full because of the weather conditions [which was a lie - it's summer and the weather was fine]). When we got to Barcelone we saw that our flight to Tel-Aviv was not cancelled! We only had 30 min because the previous flight was delayed in 2 hours so we ran and went on the plane. Of course our luggage did not arrive...."

Cons: "Apparently Vueling, Iberia's cheap cousin, saves a middle seat in row 1 and charges more. A lot more! I was pressured in Helsinki into letting Swissair, the contracted boarding agent it seems, fill that seat, 1/2 of which is what you get for paying 'business' in a plane that has all economy seating. There was no logic or ability to board before economy and indeed my boarding pass stated economy. The woman that was added to the oversold seat got intoxicated and was half in my seat. I will never fly this again and it's not worth the stress to fight for some refund but I was taken advantage of with charging me a 300+ euro seat for this joke of a flight in a "better" level of service."

They did not even make us feel like they would do everything possible to find it and it ruined the rest of our trip. My friend ended having to buy everything from underwear to shoes to clothes. Not only did it take time and energy to find clothes for her but it was very costly. I've flown MANY airlines and have never had deal with lost luggage so I was expecting more from the airline to do everything possible to located it or compensate us for their mistake, especially when we had to pay an additional $50 USD to check-in our luggage (that ultimately ended up lost). I would not recommend this airline."

All their rules must be followed precisely or you'll pay through the nose. After painstaking finding the right sized roller bags and under seat sack and making sure I was well within the weight limit, they never measured or weighed either of them. I also saw plenty of carry-on luggage way bigger than mine come on board and go into the overhead bins just fine. Kind of pissed me off. The price to check bags is SO SO high, but with the limited weight you can take in the carry-on, you almost have to check a bag unless you're doing a short 3-5 day trip."

Once we were let through BP control, then The crew kept us waiting in different stages All in All around 45 mins, which of course lead to delay in flight. Then on board, the crew was having difficulties with the service even to the point that they could not take our payment with an International Credit Card"

They started general boarding immediately and there were so many people in line already we basically had to approach the counter on the side to ask, and they looked puzzled, like they didn't even know anyone had paid for priority boarding. Thats when they also realized the counter upstairs made a mistake in not stamping our boarding passes after checking our passports, so we had to go elsewhere to have our passports checked again, so ended up boarding late. We checked in online to avoid the €45 charge but didn't have a printer and they wouldn't accept our mobile boarding passes. So the worst part was they wanted to charge us €15 for printing our boarding passes at the airport. Thankfully a kind airport information employee was willing to print them for us. You also have to pay to get a seat assigned if you are traveling with others. A nightmare of an airline."
