The plane was diverted to San Jose (original destination was SFO) due to weather conditions and we have been waiting inside the aircraft for 4 hours to get refuelled. Apparently the airport was refusing to refuel us or something like that. We are still inside the aircraft and have been travelling for over 24h. Very bad experience.

Pros: "The crew was responsive and very friendly."
Pros: "The flight was easy and quick. These small planes are actually pretty comfortable."
Cons: "Waiting for a gate in Chicago is never fun. Most people on the plane seemed to have tight connections, and I'm guessing most of us missed them. I only made mine because the next flight was delayed."

Cons: "I called bc of weather issues, and it said you may have a wait time more than 30 minutes. I waited 2 hrs and 45 mins without any update on how much longer it would be. The website told me to go to the airport the day before to see a representative. I went to the airport and they told me call back or come back the next day. Information was all inaccurate and after another 55 min wait on the phone (stated “more than 30 mins) i got an agent and rebooked my ticket."

Cons: "Because I was voluntarily "bumped" at the ticket counter instead of at the gate, I was not offered any compensation. Seems odd that I would have to be put through the rush/hassle of going to the gate to be compensated for doing this favor for United."
Pros: "The crew loading us didn't prepare properly before loading passengers. They called group #s together instead of one at a time. Which resulting in someone with a lower boarding # having to check their bag because their wasn't enough overhead space. Flight attendants were very rude when approached by the problem."
Pros: "Isle seat as empty but when i asked to move they told me i would have to pay over $100 and we were ready to take off so no one ever used the seat and i was smushed by the window the whole time."

Cons: "When offered a drink, how come we aren't offered the whole can of coke? If we don't want that much we can always say no. Also, I rated entertainment and food low only because there weren't any of these to rate. The overhead was so full that I couldn't place my bag in the overhead. The luggage check in is no longer a service a customer is provided if 1) I have to pay to check one in. 2). I have to lug it around with me only to have no place to put it. 3) the amount of time it takes to get off and on the plane because the line backs up while everyone waits on prior passengers to get their luggage into or out of the overhead (some are too short, too weak, ot placed their overhead ten rows away). Yikes!"

Give her that rare luxury of having no one sitting beside her... twice in a row. And toss in not one, but two of those United Airlines cookies." (Those cookies are sooooo good.) Really, at the moment, I can think of nothing anyone could've done any better."

We were delayed for 3 hours because of navigation malfunctions, according to the captain. I almost missed my connection in Munich and the staff in Germany was not helpful at all in helping me figure out my options."

And if the end of the trip wasn't bad enough the beginning was a nightmare at newark with getting there and the security/tsa..Nobody wants to do their job just pass the buck and make it more chaotic. No wonder there were lines wrapping around terminal 3/4 times. I know this is not directly related to airline but since u insist on flying out of newark it is indirectly. They say la guardia is third world well then newark is fourth/fifth world. Chaos absolute chaos. Please god i will never have to fly united /Lufthansa out of newark again."
