The BA flight from London to Cairo is shameful. For a 5 hour flight there is no on board entertainment nor any food. It was like flying low cost without the price. I won’t fly BA again.
You have to pay for food; disembarking was super long
Aircraft was late, then back to on time, then late again. Food is just a cereal bar and water. For 200 euros.
AA is by far the WORST possible airline EVER! flight was delayed due to computer outage and absolutely RUDE ticketing/gate agents
Pros: "Nothing actually"
Pros: "Business class lay flat seats allow sleep. Staff tries to pamper you with good service. Smooth long flight 10hrs40min and flight left 30 min late and still arrived early 40 min."
Cons: "Online checkin requires passport check at airport so you try but cannot print boarding pass. Online would not let me order gluten free vegetarian meal for daughter, but staff at terminal said oh it is too late now, you need 24 hrs notice... on flight though they figured it out and brought her foods she could eat so it worked out ok."
Pros: "Courteous crew, nice leg room, entertainment system worked, periodical food/drink."
Cons: "I requested a special meal request online but it didn’t go through, and the crew had to find me an alternate meal."
Pros: "the food was really good and the service was good."
Cons: "the entertainment system for the trip from lhr to acc was a bit outdated"
Pros: "Crew was amazing"
Cons: "The food needs a lot of work"
Pros: "The crue was great. Food was great"
Cons: "Actually not bad - had to wait a few min at terminal 5 for gate to be free - but pretty good overall"
Pros: "The price!"
Cons: "Internet connection."
Pros: "The crew were stiff but nice."
Cons: "The Club World seats are ancient and dirty with no storage. You are also staring directly at a stranger. Also British Airways makes you pay to select seats in advance even if you buy Business Class, which is a bit much."
Cons: "For starters they should have not misplaced my luggage since I was stuck in LHR for almost 6 hours which means that they had plenty of time to carefully load my single suitcase. I am so mad."
Pros: "Nothing to like at all."
Cons: "There is no food even water at international flight!!! Terrible service."
Pros: "I loved everything about it , i enjoyed the comfort, food , entertainment , the crew were very friendly and very helpful , i was pampered all through the trip thank you ."
Pros: "The crew members"
Cons: "The food"
Pros: "The entertainment"
Cons: "Some crew members were not friendly"
Pros: "Pilot was a real pro Cabin crew active and supportive The 787 was sparkling clean"
Cons: "There is no variety in the movies or shows The food is really average"
Pros: "The crew was outstanding."
Pros: "There was no flight"
Cons: "The flight did not take off. What little information we were goven was inaccurate. We called and were rebooked on another flight without being told it was overbooked and our tickets were standby . Dozens of other passengers had the same experience"
Cons: "The ground crew was very curt and non helpful. Apparently there was a rule that laptops had to be in the checked baggage. The ground crew could have been more courteous with passengers for whom this was a great inconvenience. In my specific case, the person checking me in labelled my bad "Long Stay" instead of "Priority" because they misread the instructions on the computer. The person would not listen to me and would not re-check his potential error....I fly British Airways all the time and that did not seem to make a difference in his demeanor"
Pros: "see above"
Cons: "see above"
Pros: "customers were rude and service was average"
Cons: "plumbing issue on the plane delayed the flight by about an hour"
Cons: "Overall was excellent"
Pros: "comfort of seats, staff"
Pros: "The crew"
Cons: "The seats were very small for overweight person"
Cons: "The check-in personnel refused to allow us to check bags until 90 minutes before the flight, then delayed that time three more times. This caused a real scene with nearly one hundred people standing around the check-in counter waiting to put their bags on the conveyor belts. The flight, which was delayed multiple times--once due to the ground personnel at Orly not turning in the paperwork for the flight--eventually took off, but the cabin crew seemed confused the whole time. We asked for Landing Cards, but they told us we did not need them, when in fact we did. That extra delay at immigration caused us to miss our connecting flight! Since half of the plane was connecting in Heathrow, why didn't the crew suggest that those staying in London wait on the plane until the connectors had a chance to disembark?"
Pros: "I require a wheelchair for getting around the airport. When I first checked in at LHR, they claimed to have no record of my wheelchair request and my seat change, despite my very clear notations of who and when these were made. They did have a record of my paying for one suitcase. The agent at LHR promised to make these corrections so I would not have the same problem when returning to London. Furthermore, to turn this into a humiliating situation, at the gate I was informed that the jetway was broken and they would have to find some other way to get me onboard the plane. I cannot believe that British Airways has no contingency plan for a situation like mine. After many discussions between BA reps and ground crewmen they decided to bring me down in a lift at Gate 34, though my plane was at Gate 32. I was then loaded onto the freight platform of one of those food delivery trucks and driven over to my plane. The truck backed into place and again I hoisted up to the plane. However the plane door was locked and we had to bang on it for them to finally open it. To my great embarrassment I helped down the aisle to my assigned seat, looking back at the curious looks and glares from all those passengers who had no explanation for the delay and humiliating scene. Officially the flight was listed at 28 minutes late, when in reality it was 40 minutes till we taxied away from the gate My return flight from Brussels was little better because the changes that were supposed to have been entered at LHR never were and so I had to go through this whole routine again costing me over one hour in delays. Fortunately I was able to board the flight through the jetway and did not have to be hoisted up again, and delivered like freight. How would you rate these flights. I had problems with every single British Airways flight!!"
Pros: "Leaving in a timely manner."
Cons: "Poor leg room."
Pros: "Nice plane, and quick flight to Heathrow from Glasgow. The plane had to leave late due to weather but the pilot kept passengers informed and made up time in the air so we were only 15 minutes late. The crew was available to discuss implications for connections."
Cons: "No entertainment options but this was a small plane and quick flight, so I didn't expect anything."
Cons: "No food not even snacks were served"
Pros: "BA crew was amazing--friendly, courteous, helpful. There was always plenty of food--most of it good, and they certainly kept us hydrated with trays of juice. Free everything: wine, movies, music, etc"
Cons: "There was nothing different that could have been done. We had a 5 hour layover after our flight from Shannon. That was ok because we ate, shopped and generally used the time. But we were 1/1/2 hours late taking off, then had to wait to land because we were out of order for the gates. It turned into a 23 hour day."
Pros: "The flight times and route are great - very early start but you are in Chania for lunchtime."
Cons: "Seats felt cramped. Staff helpful but seemed disinterested, and rather embarrassingly didn't know the name of the arrival airport. The much hyped M&S food was very uninspiring - my cheese sandwich was soggy, bland and slightly chemical tasting. There isn't the option for online check in from Chania to Heathrow, so ignore the error message you get when you try. I'd probably fly this route again but only for convenience not quality."
Pros: "the crew was grate, brakfest was good ."
Pros: "It was great. Staff was very nice."
Pros: "Quick flight with no issues"
Cons: "Little cramped."
Pros: "I was travelling alone with a baby and a toddler and found most of the staff very helpful - stowing my bags, helping to carry my buggy, helping with seat belts etc."
Cons: "A member of staff at the gate referred to my 2 year old daughter as "a difficult child" to another member of staff because she didn't like having her photo taken. I felt it was very rude and unfair, particularly as I had to lift her to an awkward height (whilst also holding a baby) as the camera was in a fixed position. It was clear the staff member didn't have children herself!"
Pros: "Crew was awesome."
Cons: "Late take off."
Pros: "The best the crew"
Cons: "The airbus plane. The seats are the smaller I've seen. Boarding is not very well organized. Pleople should be online and not all together at the door pushing."
Pros: "solid experience with on time performance"
Cons: "London Heathrow security from my incoming international flight to my connecting flight was hostile, confrontational, and bewildering. Layout of terminal is ridiculous, with far too many chokepoints for foot traffic, far too many people, too few public seating options. Felt like a prison."
Pros: "Service flight crw"
Cons: "Terribly crowded"
Pros: "Good crew, friendly, detail orientated. Great coffee."
Cons: "Gate far away. No food, just biscuits, crisps and hot and cold drink. Less seat pitch than SWISS."
Pros: "Flights were fine, normal, typical. No leg-room but that's the case on all flights these days."
Cons: "Flights were fine but connection time in London AWEFUL! They gave us just one hour to connect and you absolutely can not get from one terminal to the other - a long distance apart even by bus - and then go through security yet again, in just one hour. Then, as everyone is in the same boat, you wait in line for a couple of hours to be re-booked. Terrible! It all turned into a fiasco - 11 hours of travel, turning into 24. Awful. We will NEVER USE HETHROW AIRPORT AS A CONNECTING POINT AGAIN - EVER!!!!!!!!!"
