€511 Find Cheap Flights from Shannon to Australia – Compare and Save

Because a single one of our six BA flights was code shared, they wouldn’t let us choose seats nor do online check in for ANY flights So we were stuck with last minute reject seats for our entire holiday and struggled to find spots for our small bags in already full overhead lockers. On two flights the USB power outlets were broken beyond repair which makes one question safety standards on top of being stuck with flat phone batteries on arrival because using power banks is not allowed. Plus two separate take off delays related to aircraft faults. Nobody likes hearing there’s a problem with the toilets or the auxiliary power units. The cabin crews were great. None of the debacles were their fault.

We loved our flight attendant (Emma, from Scotland), the meals were perfectly spaced out, and the in-flight entertainment was super generous and delightful.

Why don't they board from the back of the plane to the front. We have to move by all the people and their luggage to get to the seats.

The boarding call announcements versus the Staff announcements versus the digital signage board on the out-going and returning flights WERE NOT IN SYNC. I was sent through check and re-checks 3 times. WHY?

With three empty seats across the aisle from me I politely asked the crew if I could sit in one of those seats. They initially told me I couldn't do it for my safety. When I pressed them again they blamed the captain. So which was it? I didn't appreciate either nonsense explanation simply because they didn't want to honor my request.

Great room between the seats, food was excellent, very comfortable overall and could have stayed on the plane even longer

Flight was great (only a short hop from London to Dublin). Wi-Fi available on board(around 2 euros), power sockets, complimentary water and biscuit. Landin/ takeoff all went without a flaw.

Staff member at boarding gate was rude, and more than once!

Seated in business class. Bed too hard and no comforter. Way too many seats in business class for number of crew so never felt particularly looked after.

I travel business class because I like to lie flat on the flight and sleep. I achieved that on this flight, and I really do like BA's new cubicles. As regards the rest of the experience however, I could have been in Premium Economy. The lounge was crowded, and the food/ drink in it was nothing special. The in-flight food was also nothing special, and the in-flight service was pretty perfunctory. Sorry, BA - you need to provide a better service. Cheers
