There was no entertainment on the plane. It was a 2 hour flight from Madrid to London and we didn't not get any refreshments for free. I would at least expect a drink and pretzels as that's standard everywhere else."

Cons: "it was an overnight flight so people wanted to sleep. took the crew till like forever to finally turn off or dim the lights..but soon after, people opened their window and sun was coming it. not sure what these idiots tried to see outside as there was nothing. sun made it hard to sleep because it was way too bright. other airlines make sure that windows are closed during overnight flights to ensure everybody will have a good sleep instead of getting woken up by the sunlight in their eyes. wish british airways would do the same. everything else was good, excellent service too"

Cons: "Plane was very old. Entertainment system slow and live maps would not work. Its a pain having people stepping over you to get out of their seat in business class. Toilet was pretty disgusting at the end of the trip after one passenger was sick."

Well all that got me was the very last row, middle seat. No recline and seriously no leg room or breathing room once the person in the row ahead leans back. Crew was not helpful. Not to mention, the security line was outrageously long and I got to my flight just before it left only to find out my seating arrangement and be presented with more disappointment. Took over an hour where I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes in this airport (I fly often). Didn’t have time to go to BR or grab a snack Then my second flight was (again another middle seat) way too warm. The attendants said “there’s nothing we can do”. I was so nauseous and uncomfortable the whole time."

Cons: "The original booked flight was about 12 hours before the rebooked flight. We got up at about 2:00 am to leave for the airport at 3:30 am for a 6:30 am flight. We were all packed and booked our ride and shuttinlpg down the computer at the last minute when we noticed an mail after midnight telling us the flight was cancelled. We called and were told there was nothing they could do, due to connections and this was entirely their fault. Approximately 12 hours later we took a “red eye” thus arriving a day late for our hotel and car reservations. We were charged baggage fees and not sure if our priority boarding will be refunded."

Cons: "I was forced to check a bag in when I had flown previously the week before with the same carry on. $50 spent for nothing in my opinion. Per the supervisor over head bin size does not change yet my bag was "too big" like I said I had flown literally 4 days before this trip and had no problems with my bag fitting nor did any of the flight attendants say anything. I am just annoyed. Also I didn't know that I would fly American as it's through Alaska originally, maybe that was my lack of attention to detail. The carry on situation is what irritated me the most. This is also not the first time that I've had a problem with American Air."

It cost me in fees to basically cancel my flight which ended up being just as much as my entire flight ticket. Got refunded a total of $12 to use towards my next flight. Never flying or booking a flight with American Airlines at all. Kayak couldn't even help with accommodations. Southwest is the only company that will actually hold those credits for you. Everywhere else is just trying to scam you."

I never been compensate for canceling flight or extra seat price.Nobody care even apologize. I hope that was just unforchened incident and I still like your company and still flying with AA, but I was really disappointed. Sincerely Vera Vasiley."

Over 2 hours on hold only for United to tell me to call back inside 24 hours of my requested departure (which was about 12 hours outside of the time I called). Bad customer service all around, both Kayak and United."

Layover in LA went 3-4 hours longer than expected so I ended up getting in a lot later than expected, meaning I had less time to spend with my wife. I missed my flight on my way back - I think when everyone was boarding, I somehow misinterpreted the digital sign that said "Ontario" to mean that they were boarding for Ontario. I had to sleep in the airport that night because I missed the flight - most uncomfortable experience ever! I paid for United's lounge but they weren't open 24/7. Then they almost didn't let me in the next morning to the lounge because technically it was only for that 1 night, even though I had been at the airport all the same. Lesson learned - maybe I should just drive to SD rather than fly."

Pros: "The crew was very attentive and the pilot kept us informed at all times. For example, we got to Dayton early and we sat on the Tarmac for about five minutes as there was another plane there. That was no problem. But, after plane left we sat there until it was time for us to arrive before ground crew came out. Then, we waited 20 minutes for our baggage. That was not your fault. That was the fault of the airport as it has happened to me before. The pilot was very apologetic and kept us informed. I appreciated that very much."

Cons: "Feel like I got conned & ripped off over set upgrade at the checkin kyiosk. Offered an economy upgrade for $79 which actually was $94. I selected seat by window that had no other passengers listed in the seating aisle but somehow in the short period of time I upgrade & walked to gate a middle eastern family with 4 kids, none over 4yrs of age happen to book the seats in my aisle. It was not comfortable & definitely not an upgrade worthy of the xtra $ having kids kicking my chair, yelling, & crying majority of the trip. Had an extreme migraine when finally landed in Houston."

Passengers were not told what was going on, or the reasoning for our plane being so late. 3 hour delay boarding, and also sat on runway for another 1.5 hours before takeoff. Once landed in Dayton, could not pull up to a gate for another 45 minutes. So much wasted time. I purposely picked an early flight so I could have more time with my family. Had to cancel my family dinner plans that night due to an extra 5 hours wasted."
