Pros: "Seating was comfortable though a tad bit cramped."
Cons: "Window was dirty from someone touching it on a previous flight. Cannot wear headphones during takeoff or landing was an inconvenience. Cabin crew made sure all passengers were held tightly to their rules but then got themselves a coffee and chatted up front the majority of the time. (Only an hour trip, so no beverages or snacks for us)"
Cons: "Significant delays"
Pros: "We took the offer of putting cabin baggage in hold. Some of those that retained theirs had "oversized" bags that should have been taken from them at the steps of the plane. As this did not happen there were a lot of problems including the problem of opening the lockers"
Cons: "Stricter control on cabin bags. The result was that our bags were already on the belt when we got to customs area"
Pros: "Quick and Friendly Staff"
Cons: "Flight was wonderful, landing a little rough"
Cons: "I missed my international connection because flight was three hours late."
Pros: "Things were pretty smooth."
Cons: "Could have done without the flight delay."
Cons: "The flight was cancelled."
Cons: "Getting through customs in UK and getting luggage tags to Dublin was a nightmare. Took over 2 hours, went through 4 lines to get luggage tags and given misinformation. Poorest travel experience in 40 years of traveling. Brits need to learn how to expedite processing."
Pros: "Not enough information"
Cons: "The flight times went explained properly very missleading"
Cons: "We didn’t, have a wheel chare whan we arrived to Dublen we wait near 1 hair till they come"
Pros: "Polite, friendly staff."
Cons: "Finding out that I had to pay more for my bag."
Pros: "Short flight so no food"
Cons: "All good"
Pros: "Crew was superb, very friendly and helpful as the handle of my bag broke. They did all they could to assist."
Pros: "Food and entertainment are not applicable for this flight as it is too short to need this anyway"
Pros: "Staff on ground and on plane was super friendly. Thanks for the pleasant flight!"
Cons: "It would be great if at least cold beverages were included in the ticket price - would make the flight experience more welcoming."
Cons: "It was on Air Lingus not BA. No Entertainment -"
Pros: "Very busy flight but staff very professional"
Pros: "Boarding clerk was excellent. He was very helpful"
Pros: "The gate agents had no idea how to effectively board passengers in an expeditious and civilized manner. The on-board crew was top-notch. Seat room was adequate, but justthat."
Pros: "Flights were on time"
Cons: "Boarding was a bit confusing and staff wasn't actively being helpful with information. Got absolutely nothing to drink/eat on the plane-not even a glass of water! The flight crew was just ok, no one "stood out" as good or excellent. Again, nothing about this flight made me want to definitely fly British Airways again."
Pros: "The Aer Lingus staff are brilliant!"
Cons: "Nothing to report"
Cons: "Seats are way too tight. Plane itself was very loud."
Pros: "Great service, and very smooth flight"
Cons: "I got to the airport the morning of my flight from Warsaw -Dublin and was told my flight was cancelled and no longer exists. Luckily I got a hold of my daughter who was in LA at this time and woke her up at 1am with this issue. She called the web booking company Webjet where you directed us to buy the flight, and was told by Webjet that my flight was cancelled the day before and we were not notified IN ANY WAY! By some miracle, my daughter was able to talk to Webjet and get me on a new flight last minute. Again, this is all happening at 1am California time while I am stranded at the airport in Warsaw! Unacceptable!!! I am however glad that the issue was resolved and I made it home safely. But I think someone needs to look into this immediately because if it wasn't for my daughter, I wouldn't have left the Warsaw airport due to the fact that the airline cancelled the flight and neither the airline, Kayak, nor Webjet notified me...."
Pros: "They got us there."
Cons: "We flew in from San Francisco to London on full-price Business Class tickets. Stupidly, I bought Coach tickets separately for the short leg to Dublin. British Air would not check two bags all the way to Dublin. For one of the bags, we did the measurements, and joined all the other people who haul extra luggage onto the plane for carry-on. For the other bag, sixty-five Pounds Sterling (about eighty-five bucks) for the other bag for a one hour flight. Wow! That put a big damper on the whole flight experience."
Pros: "No complaints about the flight. It was so short that we didn't even have time to get a drink or snack. Quite a bit of turbulence but I think that might be typical."
Cons: "Turbulence."
Cons: "Horrible plane. Sounded like it was on its last legs."
Pros: "Short flight, slept all the way!"
Cons: "Did not eat and no entertainment on this short flight so food and entertainment not applicable."
Pros: "It was quick"
Cons: "Food options were bad"
Cons: "Cramped seats. Entertainment system did not work well."
Pros: "My flight was changed at airport"
Cons: "Barely made flight-- no help offered"
Pros: "Many entertainment options, food was tasty."
Cons: "Movie options were not new releases"
Pros: "Flight and connections in perfect time."
Cons: "Worse experience ever!!!!"
Pros: "They tried to help me in person by making a phone call to the security gate."
Cons: "Despite the call to security (I guess it was to the security gate? Not sure) it seemed standard the way they spoke, not as if anyone seemed empathetic to my situation as I am a graduate student and was in dire need of returning to Dublin, Ireland for work the following morning. I have had a different experience with different British Airways representatives. The customer service on the phone seemed good, but in person, it just felt like robots following policy unfortunately. I spent $150 for a roundtrip flight and could not use my "Return" portion of my ticket. I arrived to the security gate and I could not be let in. My flight was even delayed which should have allowed me time to scan through security but it did not. My phone is temporarily unavailable as it is in the shop for repair, while I navigate a foreign country without the use of maps or access to email so easily. I checked my email at a random hotel in London for 1.5 hours, and 30 mins after I left, apparently an email was sent by BA to me, alerting me that I could check-in my luggage, instead of having to take it on-board as carry-on. All these details would have been nice to know a little more ahead of time. I wish I could be refunded for my flight, as that was the last flight of the evening, and I ended up having to go to Air Lingus to pay nearly 300 pounds to get on their last flight back to Dublin. As a graduate student, working on my thesis and fulfilling a job here in Ireland as the final leg of my Master's degree, any money saved is a help. Forfeiting half my ticket, and purchasing a new one twice the price of my original was not something I was expecting. I was an emotional wreck getting on-board my other airline's flight. Just not a positive experience that resonated with me overall :( I wish I had more positive insight to share, especially on social media or Yelp about my experience to London and back with BA. Plane was small, and complimentary drinks were not served as every flight I have ever been on in 30 years, and that is several several dozen, have ALWAYS given at least a drink, even if they didn't have peanuts/pretzels. Pretty disappointing.."
Pros: "the only somewhat helpful person was the customer service attendant that i called the day before i flew who tried his best to be helpful after the worst flying experiences i have ever had"
Cons: "the lack of anyone willing to assist me in the airport, over the phone, online. i was not able to check in had to call customer service several times because i was getting hung up on or told that nothing could be done to check me in, issue me boarding passes or just answer general questions. Went to the airport 3 hours prior for a transatlantic flight like recommended (6:45). The attendants showed up to the desk at 8, with no sign as to when they would show up even though the desk was getting called constantly starting at 7am. was told that in dublin we would have to check in to flight and we would be assigned seats then. even thought the attendant printed our boarding passes for the connecting flight but did not give them to us. When in dublin was told that we had already been checked in and we could have been assigned our seats in madrid by the connections desk. When talking to others on same flight they told us they were allowed to checkin into all flights and had no issues at the airport"
Pros: "Quick flight."
Cons: "Flight was delayed, plane didn't take off for a long time after boarding."
Cons: "The service was terrible and staff was unpleasant"
Cons: "Very cramped seats; terrible food; was put on Air Lingus instead of BA; missed our connection and Air Lingus was very difficult to work with"
Pros: "Flight attendants really are nice folks"
Cons: "1. Bought ticket via kayak chicago to prague, so I got outgoing trip on British airways but they codeshare it out to Aer Lingus. Unfortunately, these dumbos haven't figured out that no matter what the gyrations they do, I still want to be able to pick my seat beforehand. Nada. Not possible online. And forget calling aer lingus 800 number. called twice and was on hold for 30 min each time, they dont bother answering. 2. At airport, I was willing to pay extra for a good seat because of the issues above, so they said they would help me out. Ha - the manager who purportedly was helping me out gave me a seat up front next to a shrieking infant and behind a bassinet (he knew exactly what he was doing but didnt care). They really lie and think we're idiots. 3. Same thing for flight from dublin to prague. This time last row next to toliets Dont fly aer lingus if you dont book directly with them, same for british airways I looked at BA's website - they do let you book a seat in advance but you must pay something for every single seat. Crazy. There are no free seats"
Cons: "There was no entertainment for that flight."
Pros: "The food was acceptable and served in a timely, efficient way. The entertainment options were very good and the system easy to use."
Cons: "The seats were extremely uncomfortable due to being so narrow and also very little leg room. I was in the second seat in a 4-seat row and had difficulty getting through the space to seat myself. I'm a person of average size. On a six hour flight this becomes very irritating."
Cons: "Because I didn't make it and I want my money back"
Pros: "Standard BA dependability. Like a dependable but stodgy old uncle."
Cons: "Chaotic boarding process. No enforcement of boarding groups"
Pros: "The crew was nice"
Cons: "The space was so limited"
Pros: "They keep the food coming in there are a decent range of TV and movie options."
Cons: "We booked an overnight layover flight and seemingly that confused all airports systems that we are unable to check in for both of our parts of the return flight. This meant we were not able to select our seats very far in advance for a return flight and initially my husband and I were seated separately but thankfully kind people on board were willing to switch with us. The gate check person in Dublin also on this in our bags to Boston but luckily caught her mistake within a couple of minutes and our bags didn't make it to our correct home destination on our flight back from Europe. We were never prompted to make any specific meal selection restrictions so my vegan husband was not able to eat anything on our flights to or from Europe. The flights were both kept very cold and of course the space and economy is quite tight."
