Pros: "Really a nice meal and good service"
Pros: "Seat 5A was great"
Pros: "Boarding was very smooth crew was very pleasant and helpful"
Pros: "Nothing much but the crew made up for some of it."
Cons: "ORD and the roads approaching nothing short of a nightmare. Chicago should be embarrassed by the whole experience at ORD."
Pros: "staff was very nice. boarding was on time and efficient"
Cons: "no screens to watch movies. the plane was delayed for a repair and we had to sit on the plane for two hours before we took off. they should of let us off the plane during this time. because of this the flight felt longer. there was no choice of movie because there was only the screen in the isle. the food was horrible for dinner. the smell made me feel sick and the taste was worse. a sandwich might of been better than that disgusting hot food."
Pros: "Crew friendly.Flight arrived early.Boarding was smooth."
Cons: "Seats not comfortable."
Cons: "Seats are small, tight and don’t recline much."
Cons: "For our delay with no information"
Pros: "Movie selection, drinks"
Cons: "Kayak/JustFly charged us a fee to pre-select our seats which was appealing traveling with a baby. However, upon checking in, we found that the seats were not reserved and the fee was a marketing ploy. The airline attempted to separate our family of 3, but luckily it was not a full flight and we were able to sit together with no help from Kayak, JustFly, British Airways, or American. Kayak/JustFly made the experience of traveling overseas with a baby more challenging than it otherwise would have been which is a terrible way to conduct business. We will never be using these services again and will tell family and friends to do the same."
Pros: "I lucked out, I was in a row alone, so got to stretch out and sleep for 3 of the 6.5 hours of the trip."
Cons: "The entertainment might have been good, but the touch screen system was extremely cumbersome andf it was hard to get a good overview about what was available and then when one thought one had chosen something, something else started to play. I tried to listen to classical music, but the cabin music was louder,"
Pros: "On time flights, friendly crew"
Pros: "I felt very motion sick and was flying by myself, the flight attendants comforted me and made sure I was taken care of properly."
Pros: "We had a really nice, friendly and fun male flight attendant."
Cons: "Too tight, seat was uncomfortable, food was bland"
Pros: "The crew was fantastic. Enjoyed the Free movie options."
Pros: "There was a lot to see"
Cons: "The screens were severely delayed and frustrating."
Cons: "3 hour delay. Old plane."
Pros: "Staff extremely friendly and helpful"
Cons: "Old plane with no individual tv screens!!! Didn't know these planes still existed!"
Pros: "In your Chicago office. He was extremely helpful both to us (too older ladies) and to others. Please thank him for us and look at him for a promotion. I think he may work for American Airlines instead of British Airways."
Pros: "Once we got on the plane, everything was pretty standard"
Cons: "Flight was delayed 5 hours."
Pros: "Flight was direct and on time."
Cons: "Waited 45 minutes at baggage claim before the carousel even began to move. Not much legroom or personal space."
Pros: "Nothing whatsoever"
Cons: "I was confused by the Brot"
Cons: "Poor entertainment, wifi option. Overhead lighting was on entire flight. AA flight attendants were over it. A bad experience"
Cons: "Old plane with no plug-ins and outdated media."
Pros: "The food was good and the flight attendants were great."
Cons: "No personal entertainment, just the old TVS every 6-8 rows."
Pros: "The crew was great and getting 2 meals was very nice."
Cons: "My headphone jack kept malfunctioning (loud popping noises in my earbuds) while watching the movie and all the reading lights came on and stayed on the majority of the flight so sleeping was difficult."
Cons: "food options, departure delay"
Pros: "finally made it to our destination"
Cons: "our flight was delayed 3 hours, they finally changed planes, and the one we took for a trans-Atlantic flight was cramped, poor service on the plane, all-in-all an uncomfortable flight - I've had much better on other carriers, and won't be likely to use American Airlines again :("
Pros: "It got me there."
Cons: "Flight was delayed 3 hours and switched gates 3 times. I'm pretty sure they swapped planes as there wasn't any in flight entertainment. Flight overall was fine but unhappy with service and updates at airport."
Pros: "Food and "free" drinkscomfort of seats overall"
Cons: "Comfort of seats in which to sleep"
Cons: "7 hour flights must have good entertainment facilities like individual screen wherein you can choose your own. I don't normally get a good sleep on planes so a good entertainment is a must for me..."
Pros: "Free alcohol and good passenger friends and friendly service."
Cons: "No outlets for phones"
Pros: "Very smooth flight with excellent crew!"
Cons: "There were no individual monitors at the seats."
Pros: "Free alcoholic beverages"
Cons: "Check in was ridiculous, one enormous line for all the "one world" airlines. Which although we booked Finnair, the flight was with American Airlines. Then at check in we weren't given the seats we chose when we booked the flight, actually we weren't given seats at all until the flight was boarding. And although half the flight had not been assigned seats the boarding agent had an attitude that I wanted to get my seat assigned. The airplane was circa 1992, there was a box tv in the aisle every few rows. We flew NY to San Juan PR in July and had personal entertainment on a 3-hour flight, but not ona 6-hour trans-Atlantic. Then there was a problem with the fuel tanks and apparently it was right in the middle of shift change, so one shift went home and the captain didn't know what was going on. "I'm embarrased" he said and we sat on the ground for almost 2 hours. The crew were great, the dinner was fine but yogurt and a weird muffin top is not ok. The best part of the whole flight was a free jack & ginger ale. Based on this experience alone I wouldn't fly with Finnair again. Our trip was for a wedding and most everyone else flew Air Lingus and had a flawless experience, poor choice on our part!"
Pros: "The seats were comfortable and entertainment great"
Cons: "No complaints!"
Pros: "Seating way too tight"
Pros: "A typical American Airlines flight these days. Easy boarding. Very friendly flight crew. Cafeteria food. Left a little late and arrived on time."
Cons: "Squished in seats. No legroom. The usual. (Everyone understands)"
Cons: "The plane had no TV in front of the seat for a international flight, the space was tiny as well. I could never recommend this to anyone else."
Pros: "Crew were very nice and efficient"
Cons: "Move"
Pros: "On time departure and arrival. Flight attendants were efficient and pleasant."
Cons: "No complaints!"
Pros: "nice crew"
Cons: "no entertainment system. Even their in flight radio got messed up. seats were uncomfortable."
Cons: "When we arrived to Chicago we discovered that the airline had tried to "fix" out connecting flight and in the process I was accidentally removed from the same flight as my husband and we were both forced to take detours through London since we had missed our direct flight. Our checked baggage was lost for 2 days. The London airport has more strict rules for carry-on bags and liquids so much of our items were confiscated and the worst part of all was being told at the gate in Chicago that they didn't know why I was removed from the flight but that I would not be allowed to board because they couldn't reach anyone at the American Airlines desk. We pleaded for help for over an hour and were basically asked to sit down and be ignored. I was sobbing when my husband and I were separated and we were worried we might not find eachother in London or in our final destination of Dublin since we had no cell service."
Pros: "The initial price. Difficult flight."
Cons: "I did not get what I paid for and check in took two hours to figure out. I bought tickets on Kayak through Justfly.com for a Finnair flight and added an American Airlines (affiliate) frequent flyer number.and reserved my seats early.as I usually do and everything was confirmed by Justfly.com. No problems, right? I did not receive a check in notification. I used the Finnair trip number on my email but it said there was no flight found. I could not initially get hold of Just fly.com. when I did, they said I had to check in through American Airlines. That didn't work initially either. After getting a new trip number I was able to check in but our seats were changed and it was a red eye. When trying to get seats I noticed there are very few seats left. The seats I had selected were now open and would coat another $120 plus. I couldn't even get those. We wound up with some exit seats which seemed fine until my wife couldn't recline her seat. It was uncomfortable for both of us because she had to use my legs to prop hers onto. Im still on vacation so I haven't contacted American for a refund yet."
Pros: "The flight was delayed 5 hours. We were late for our tour in Ireland!"
Pros: "Good value"
Cons: "Poor food quality"
Cons: "The food.... But you already know that, don't you."
Pros: "The emergency exit row had decent legroom and I was comped my beer."
Cons: "Perhaps it was my own fault, but I kept getting errors trying to check in online at the Finnair website. I was there because up until I tried to check in at JFK, I was 100% sure I booked a Finnair flight, because that's what Kayak told me. I was pretty pissed off when I found out that SURPRISE I was really flying on American Airlines, pretty much the most boring airline on the planet. When I checked in, I was still unable to get a seat assignment, not until I got to the gate where I had to wait 20 minutes for an agent to show up and sort things out. They finally put me in an emergency exit row, in an extremely uncomfortable non-recline seat (I know, regulations). The flight was also an hour late taking off (I know, not AA's fault), which did not help the experience. Will be more careful next time booking on Kayak."
Pros: "Food, entertainment and free checked bag. Can ask for more!"
Pros: "Food, blanket & pillow,"
Cons: "Most of the video screens did not work. Long flight with no entertainment!"
Pros: "Great service."
Cons: "Seats to small lol"
