There was no note inside the luggage to state if it was tsa who went through the bag so I went to customer service to inquire about it. The representative from New York airport stated that I over packed my bag that's why it was damaged. I can assure you that my bag was under weight and there was no problem when i last closed it. So to be clear both zippers on my luggage was completely destroyed and taped up like a ragged cloth. I was embarrassed to walk around with my bag and the only recompensation I received was a $40 credit to my next flight."

Pros: "You can pretty much count on having a great crew with JetBlue This flight's embodied patience: patience with the lady who wanted to bring a smartecarte loaded with diaper bags, blankies, handbags and stuffed animals onto the plane; patience with the baby in the first row who cried throughout the entire boarding process and patience witht; patience with the lady in the first row (who didn't have a seat in front of her to put her handbag containing a small service dog underneath) and two, I guess, wanted to keep the dog on her lap during take off. It was a plane full of first time flyers, with resulting chaos. And they kept their cool throughout."

But it sure makes it trying for people who are sharing the same cramped space. The lack of communication I received from Aer Lingus, and the length of time it took for me to get the luggage was a bit ridiculous. I was never told what happened to the luggage and I was given the timeline to receive my luggage within 24 hours. Well it took over 48 hours to get the luggage. I was given specific timeframes to call the Shannon Airport Aer Lingus luggage desk, which I followed. Had to leave a message every time, and not once was it returned. The only communication I did get was calling the Shannon Airport directly and working with their employees. I could tell they were frustrated with me, which is completely understandable, because they weren't the appropriate people to communicate with. I was just very disappointed in the customer service."

Honestly the only poor experience was the lady at American Air line check in in Fort Myers airport. Who didn't listen when I said i already paid for my bags online and she tried to charge me $40. When I clicked cancel on the kiosk she scolded me and sent me to "full service check in". To which that gentleman was very nice and I proceeded to pay nothing more, like I expected.

I have never been on an AC flight that left on time. Very little inflight service, at least in coach. For example, one beverage service in 5 hour flight (and they didn’t even offer water while we were waiting on the plane for over an hour to take off). You have to pay for everything, and wifi doesn’t work well unless you pay for the fastest speed.

He got my wife and I on the next flight out (and first one in) from an alternate airport (Fort Myers instead of Tampa). They waived any rescheduling charges and billed flight differential charges of under $10 each. It was very much appreciated that in the middle of or crisis, we found a friendly and helpful response from an Airline that too often has received bad reviews. In my books, you folks are #1 when it counts. Thanks so much!"

Cons: "Bumped off a direct flight from Toronto to Fort lauderdale with 6 other people. We all booked back in february. They are overbooking 5 to 10 percent now and kicking off the people who paid the least. There is no advantage to booking early only to be bumped. At the gate the AC employee said we would be credited 3 to 4 hundred dollars but we had to run to the customer service desk and then hop on an AC flight to Houston connecting with United Airlines to Fort Lauderdale. At the customer service desk a herd of people waited anxiously to be re booked and compensated. When they started handing out notice that they would send us 200 in the mail there was an uproar that fell on deaf ears. We then ran to get on the houston flight only to find out that flight was overbooked as well. We had to wait to see if they had any no shows. Fortunately I was able to stay on the plane. Upon arriving in Houston we were quickly ran to the United airline gate only to find out that Air Canada had dropped the ball again. We were not booked on the flight. Five of us had no seats booked , while I was booked to depart on a morning flight the next day with no accomodations arranged? Fortunately for us United Airlines picked up the ball and some how got us on the plane to Fort Lauderdale. Upon arriving around 1140pm! should have arrived at 5:20pm direct! we quickly ran to the AC terminal to get our luggage that was originally checked on the first flight. We were told that it would be there. AC employees with no concern at all told us it's not here and it would have been on the united flight that we just arrived on. After I explained that we werent even scheduled to be on the United flight by air canada, so there's no way it made it onto the plane. They looked at us like we were idiots, closed thier office doors and walked away. We ran back to the other terminal( shuttle buses stop at 11pm in Fort Lauderdale?) only to find no luggage again. Fortunately United picks up the ball again and traces our luggage back to Toronto, AC pulled it and left it sitting there. Because of Air Canada's inept employees I missed my rental car reservation and had to buy new clothes for the wedding the next day. They said they'd have the luggage to me by 11 am , it arrived at 11:30 pm the next day. Save yourself the hassel, fly any other airline other then the iconic continually bailed out by the federal goverment airline. If you know, no matter how bad your company and service is ,you will always be bailed out would you work hard? Probably not, hence the atrocious attitude and poor performance of this dead horse airline."

Cons: "People who insist on bringing their "carry on" luggage on board. The cases are clearly over sized and then they get to put them in the hold for free, meanwhile, those of us who are honest about the size have paid to check their luggage from the start. Everyone should be able to check one bag for free and anyone who brings more than real carry on should be charged a fee. It would speed up onboarding and off loading and would not create the danger of suitcases falling on people's heads when they are put in the overhead bins."
Pros: "The flight from Winnipeg to Toronto was ok. The flight was packed with military personnel and they all had large packs that had to be pushed under the seats but were really difficult to put there. Many of them were late for the flight for some reason so we were delayed leaving by a lot of time. The thing I did like was that the pilot made up most of the time so we did manage to barely make our flight to Ft Lauderdale as they were boarding it. The one from Toronto to Winnipeg was as I expected, a normal, nice Air Canada flight."
Cons: "I find that when I travel on the Air Canada Rouge flights I really feel like I am travelling on a third rate air line. Things don't work and you are squeezed in like sardines, Some people were boarding the flight with 2 carry ons plus a personal item. This always causes problems and seems to delay leaving as the crew then needs to either find space for it or need to check it and then deal with the complaints of the traveler."

Paramedics boarded the plane when we landed, I assume it's nothing serious but would be nice to hear from air Canada to confirm. Other than this unfortunate event ... everything was great starting with the staff at the ticket counter."

Cons: "This flight and my next connecting one (also Air Canada) were both delayed by 45 minutes each. That's an hour and a half of wasted time. Thankfully, I just assumed there would be a delay so I booked a later connection in advance. The weather was perfect and there was no explanation on either flight as the why we were almost an hour delayed. I'm expected to arrive 2 hours in advance of a flight. Why is it so hard for this airline to be on time?"
Pros: "The legroom on Rouge is horrendous. My 6' teenage son was so wedged in we could not move/stretch his legs whatsoever. Problem is, Air Canada gives us no choice but to fly "Rouge" to our destination. Once my flight pass is completed I am seriously thinking of moving moyalty to Westjet. I can't take Rouge discomfort any longer. Also - due to turbulence on the flight they decided to withhold food and beverage service without any announcements the entire flight. Nor did they distribute iPads. Far into the 3 hour flight they came with water. That's it. The insult to injury was that on preparation for landing they said their "canned" announcements that they were coming to collect iPads and any remaining items. Oh and did I mention we left 2 hours late? And the fact that the Premium passenger got meals and we had to smell them all flight long? Funny how that works. Very disappointed, Rouge."

Evidently it was 2 pounds too heavy and they made me check it, despite it fitting properly in the overhead. If you have these "rules" then Rouge you need to be consistent about implementing them. Rouge seats are NOT comfortable. Absolutely no leg room and paper thin seats. No electrical outlets and a terrible movie selection. I really wish they'd go back to "regular" Air Canada flights."

I paid for economy knowing the room that I was going to be given .. If she didn't like having her legs squished she should have upgraded her seat and the crew member shouldn't have allowed me to be uncomfortable and not having the same luxuries as the rest of the customers."

Then they pulled everyone off and 3 busses took us to NJ, arrival at 4 a.m....HORRIBLE crew had timed out, horrible stewards served up water in cups and were yelling at people to sit saying we were NOT getting off the plane."

I was in group 3 but was stuck behind people in other groups. Also, they ran out of room in the overhead storage which is frustrating when you're flight is already pushed out to a later time - the last thing I want to do at 1:00 am is wait for my luggage because it had to be checked. People brought on carry-on suitcases along with 1 personal item which were huge tote bags or backpacks. There's got to be a way to monitor overhead storage for items like that - if it's the size of a carry-on, they should need to check their suitcase. The snack was lack-luster. I went on a 5-hour flight to Seattle a few months ago and one cookie with no protein is hardly filling for that long of a flight."

I tried to change my seat online, and was only given the option of 1 other middle seat. I have to have an aisle seat because of arthritis, and I need to walk around during flight. There were long lines at the desk at the gate, and I couldn't stand there to get my seat changed. Now I'm dealing with lots of leg pain as a result. I NEVER would have booked this flight if I'd known I would'nt have an aisle seat. IT IS "BAIT AND SWITCH"!"

They put us up in a shity hotel and the meal vouchers only worked at the airport where everything was closed by then or hotel which had no restaurant. United offered a $50 compensation which is a kick in the teeth compared to the inconvenience I was put trough. If I don't get properly compensated from United for that horrible experience I will never fly them again and tell everyone I know to never fly United."

The lady at the counter thank god ran down to delta and got us a flight to atlanta then to st louis. I think united just doesnt want to pay for a hotel room when they are the ones that kept delaying it. It was a nightmare and i dont plan on flying united again."
