Flight from Dusseldorf to Zurich, then Zurich to Los Angeles. in Dusseldorf, SWISS oversold the plane by 25 passengers. It was unbelievable, SWISS was randomly determining who would not fly and miss their other connecting flights in Zurich. It was by shear luck that we were able to keep our original reservation. SWISS needs to realize that this type of problem is serious. I can't imagine every flying SWISS again."

To go from Naples to Munich and then turn around and go to Zurich before the 10 hour trip to Tampa made no sense. Lousy routing and customer service. Eidelswiss apparently is a lower-end branch of Swiss Air. My airfare was as much as and more than my other friends who flew Delta, for instance. Flights on other airlines did not take 10 hours from Zurich to Tampa. I lost the ticket receipts and could not claim anything for the items I bought to try get through the two full days without luggage, even though the airlines has a record of the claim. Outrageous!!"

The food, wine/ beer service was same as regular economy, the boarding took place at same time as economy, no drink before take-off if only sparkling water. And the plane was old generation 747 and the entertainment was same vintage: screen was not very bright and the selection of films was poor. No plug to charge electronics. We were disappointed with KLM when comparing with other airline companies offerings when you book in Premium Economy."

Cons: "Boarding was very confusing. There was an area where they were checking people's bags or something near the gate and you didn't know if you needed to stop at it or continue. They didn't collect garbage before landing. Not only did we have to take our bags off the plane, we had to carry our garbage (drink cups/food served) to the front of the plane to throw out."

Cons: "Our total flight time was about 17 hours - MAD- AMS-LAX. My husband and I both have an internationally approved carry on luggages with us. When we checked in - they asked us to both check in our carry on luggage. The reason why is because they said they don’t think they have enough space for our carry ons. I told the crew member checking us in that other people that was checking in with the same hand carry size luggage with us had no problems taking it with them. For being about to be on a 17 HOUR FLIGHT we should be ALLOWED to have our carry ons with us! We take carry ons for that reason! I had to argue and prove my case to the crew member to atleast keep 1 carry on with us. I thought that was an UNACCEPTABLE reason for us to check in a carry on luggage when we had a 17 hour travel time ahead of us. Not a happy costumer here."

Cons: "Flight delayed ... Myself and three other colleagues didn't have our luggage show up from KLM flight from Amsterdam to Brussels...even though all of our luggage was labeled "priority". Once in customer service line, we looked and saw that many of the other passengers on our flight also never received their luggage. We estimated that 20-25% of the people on that flight did not receive their luggage as they were in line with us for the same problem. Hard to understand how so many pieces of luggage could have been overlooked and not loaded on our flight. Obviously there is a huge gap in their quality system to ensure mistakes like this are prevented."

Pros: "Connection desk and gate attendance were the only people who tried to help fix the mistakes made by the people in madrid. Global access allowed to quicken our time spent going home after the mets that was our flight home."
Cons: "the attendant at the connection desk did not understand why we had not been given boarding passes or allowed to check in to our flights in madrid. the gate attendants did not understand that even though we were numbers 72 and 73 person processed we were not allowed to check in, receive boarding passes or allowed to sit next to my sister who's reservation was connected to mine"

Pros: "Aer Lengus is great. Complete contrast with the trip from the US to Heathrow with BA-D. That leg was horrible, one of top two worst over my 30+?years of traveling internationally Viva Aer Lengus comfort and customer relations, what a difference with BA-Disastrous customer support in Heathrow"

Pros: "Efficient boarding, friendly crew, good food, individual entertainment consoles, and plane was not very crowded."
Cons: "Extra charge for items traditionally included on trans-Atlantic flights, entertainment choices dated and limited, assigned seating clumped travelers together instead of spreading them out among available travelers."

Cons: "1. BA said I couldn't get a seat before 24 hrs before. Then when I tried to get a seat assignment I was told (by email) to contact Aer Lingus. Aer Lingus said that I should have called before 24 hrs before, and that seats were now in control of the gate (this still 22 hrs before flight time). Total lack of coordination. 2. At check-in I was first told that my bag was too big for carry-on, although BA had accepted it. I shrunk it down. Then I was told it weighed too much at 15 kg. When I asked why BA accepted the weight I was told BA's weight limit was different. 3. Net net, if BA is "arranging" the flight through a code-share it should have responsibility for insuring I am treated like a BA customer. Aer Lingus' customer treatment leads much to be desired."

Pros: "swift boarding allowed for an earlier departure and arrival 30min ahead of scheduled time"
Cons: "I waited 30min at the priority check in queue while being first in line this whole time. There was only one counter open for normal check in and one for priority when I arrived and after 20min waiting, the priority counter closed completely and there was just one counter open remaining, with just 10-15min before the check in closed. We had to wait another 10min to be able to check in our luggage! On arrival, luggage took 45min to just start delivering, completely wiping out the 30min arrival ahead of schedule."

Pros: "Staff was pleasant."
Cons: "Website didn't work for online checkin. Flight only half full but somehow I was assigned to the coldest seat on the plane with an exit door obstructing legroom. Toilets were out of order and only one was available for most of an eight-hour flight. Airline charged for drinks. Food (chicken stew in a brown gravy?) was repellant. Entertainment choices dated and uninteresting. Luggage lost, with one agent available to slowly help more than 30 people. Luggage missing for over 24 hours. No response from airline. Enough."

Cons: "Did not like that I thought it was a BA flight but was really a EI flight , which means I had to get a boarding pass but I was sure was on BA and almost went to there booking counter to get boarding pass."

Pros: "The boarding process was better than I expected in such a large plane. There were multiple lanes open to check in at the gate."
Cons: "The crew were not very attentive or polite when asked a question or for help. Then tended to go up and down the aisle with their carts with out stopping or offering anything and if someone asked them for a drink or something they would tell the, they would have to come back. The food on this trip was terrible and not well planned out. They ran out of the meat option for dinner before they were even halfway through the plane. At least 100 people had no food option. What was left was something with a cheese sauce cooked into it so it stunk with the foil was peeled back. I would have preferred the traditional peanut package to that."

Cons: "The plane was old, so the entertainment system was buggy. It flickered, got loud then quiet and would reset over and over again."

Cons: "We were late taking off due to the airport and plane not sharing passenger data, and then forced to delay exiting the plane and then forced to sit on a bus rather than enter the terminal."

Pros: "Nothing. No luggage. Ruined vacation and only getting the run around as I write this on day 3."

Cons: "Two things: 1) My screen wasn't functioning properly. I did tell a crew member and she re-started it for me; but, it continued to glitch and was, for the most part, unusable. (The touch screen was unresponsive and kept getting stuck). 2) When the person in front of me reclined, her seat was very close to my face, giving me very little room. I didn't want to do the same thing to the person behind me, so I kept my seat upright, which didn't help. I only got up once during the whole flight and I know it was uncomfortable for the reclining person because there was no way to exit without jostling her."

Cons: "I disliked the fact that our flight was delayed and we weren't notified about it. I disliked that we got told there was a problem with the engine but they didn't allow us to either get off the plane or change plans we just sat there as they ran test after test. Asking us to sit down for them to see if the engine is working okay. They asked a member of the public who was sat by the wing to keep an ear out for any funny noises. We stayed on the runway for an hour and a half after it was already delayed. Once we set off in fear that the engine might fail again Ryanair didn't even off us a free glass of water to show appreciation for peoples tolerance. It honestly isn't worth the money you save."
