Be on time and staff on airport could be a bit more nicest
Be on time and staff on airport could be a bit more nicest
You have improved through the many years I have flown with you. But you still nickle and dime your customers. I paid extra for carry on and priority boarding.
Great flight and crew but let down yet again by the disaster that is Birmingham Airport
Crowded, little leg room, little lateral room. Hour late, then all funnelled into a small room with a couple of bench seats for 150 people. Most sitting on the floor or standing for 30 mins before chaotic boarding.
You can only check in maximum 2 hours before your flight. But it’s not written anywhere on your ticket or your boarding pass or in any of your emails. The only sign is at the beginning of a huge snake queue on the barrier which is easily blocked by people. So you queue for half an hour only to be turned back. Plus on the flight we paid for priority which included two carry on bags in addition to our backpacks plus I had a letter from Ryanair for my CPAP machine to be allowed as free carry on as well. As it happened, we only had one carry on and the CPAP and two backpacks and the agent insisted I shove my CPAP under my seat which I refused as it wouldn’t fit without jamming it. They had oversold priority (or didn’t check bags) and there was an enormous fuss about overhead storage. Poorly managed and the inflight ordering service didn’t work. It was awful. I will never fly them again. And before you say it was cheap, it was most certainly not. So Ryanair can kiss my business goodbye.
Flight was good but delayed (45 minutes) which made other connections difficult.
Would be better if there is phone charging ports available
On time and reasonably comfortable. These airlines need to find a way of sitting their passengers in queues whilst waiting to board
It was fine. Communication was great as we were delayed
We arrived at the airport by taxi so as to be there two hours ahead of take-off. On arrival I received a message stating that the flight would be 85 minutes later than planned. An hour later another message stated that it would be a further 20 minutes late. There was no mention of the almost 2 hour delay once we boarded. Needless to say, they didn’t trumpet their “arrive-on-time” signal. At least we got there eventually.
CVG to London was a good flight . Thank god the plane was not full . Seating was tighter than any international I’ve taken . We arrived in London 10 minutes early. Had it not been for handicap assistance I would have missed my connection. Had it not been for the extra 10 minutes because we landed early I would have missed my flight . 3 hours and 10 minutes from plane to plane as they were boarding when I arrived . None of that is the fault of British Air but the understaffed and confided security at LHR. Because of this I will never use British Air again unless I don’t land in London . Not the airlines fault but I never want to miss a flight because of the blunder in London . The worst I’ve ever encountered in international travel . Sorry British Air but your home needs better management.
It was a one stop flight. What I didn’t realize is that when we landed at London’s Gatwick it was necessary to go through immigration/customs and then go to the departure desk to get a new boarding pass…then pass through security again. There was only a 1 hr/20 min layover which is not nearly enough time to do all that. There were at least 12 people on my flight from Dubrovnik and 7 of them missed the flight to JFK. It was horrendous and British Airways should never have considered it a reasonable thing to do. I, literally, ran the very, very long hallways, up and down escalators and stairs…ran on the moving sidewalks and arrived quite wet from perspiration in time to board. Be sure to give yourself at least 3 hours to make any of those connections at Gatwick.
Very disappointed late takeoff led them to rebook me on American and United. The latter was cancrllrfg
The trip from Portland to Italy was great. However, the trip from Italy back to Portland was terrible. We started off leaving an hour late from Pisa to Heathrow, which then made it too late to reach our connecting flight. We were instructed by a flight attendant that we needed to go to "anyone of their colleagues" and we would need to change our connecting flight. Once we finally found someone from BA and stood in the long line of other passengers. Someone from BA came up to us while in line and asked if we were re-booking due to a delay coming into Heathrow. We told them we were, and she asked if we even checked to see if they already re-booked us. Nope, didn't know they would do that, so yes, they did in fact re-book us to a flight that would leave in 45 minutes, and we didn't have a boarding pass. "no problem just go through security and tell them you don't have a boarding pass" - It doesn't work that way. No one including security knew what to do. They kept sending us all over the place to people that didn't know what to do. Finally made it through security (after 30 minutes of everyone trying to figure out what to do with us). BA put us on a flight with Delta so we had to go to Delta to get our boarding pass. Flight was already closed, so Delta said "you need to go back to BA". Waited in line for 30 minutes due to only 2 people trying to help everyone. She got us out on a new flight that left the next day, with a connecting flight to Seattle. They put us up in a hotel that was obviously run down with a lot of passengers from BA. They told us to come down and get dinner - sent to a buffet and told we had to sit in the back of the restaurant. The buffet was not good. However, we hadn't eaten all day, so we were both starving. They had a vat of a meat sauce that said "chicken sauce". I started eating it (on tope of the rice they had) and just about chocked on a chicken bone and then found several other chicken bone slivers. The other dish said "chicken curry" tried that instead and there were whole large bay leaves that I didn't see (because it was dark in the back of the restaurant) and got one caught in my throat. Frozen mixed vegetables that said "fresh steamed vegetables" nope. Got to the airport early the next morning so we could make sure there were no issues. Flew out from Heathrow to Seattle (crew was great) landed in Seattle 20 minutes early, but couldn't get off the plane for 1/2 hour. Our connecting flight was in 2 hours. Got off the plane, and it took 1 1/2 hours to get our luggage. After 30 minutes, I went to BA's customer service desk to see if she could help. Her response was "it's not really my issue" after 3 passengers told her to make it her issue and find out what was going on, the luggage stared coming out. Needless to say, we missed the connecting flight again! BA had rebooked us with Alaska for our connecting flight. So glad they did, because Alaska was fantastic! The rebooking process was much easier and they made sure we got out of Seattle that day so we could get home. All in all, I will never fly British Airways again.
Flight was on time. The half sandwich offered doesn’t compare to the full meal offered by Egyptair. With BA there is no entertainment whilst on the Egyptair flight you get to choose form a range of movies and the flight map which I quite enjoy.
Bathroom was out of service. Had to pay for everything
Lost bag - again. No help from staff at Nice - they have a handling agent who does nothing No emergency kit Try calling BA - they eventually found the bag - now on later flight. Trying to get someone to help in the short term is impossible. If I am unhappy - then I have to log it on a website. The agent said he was only able to help with future bookings - not assist in the chaos BA had caused. IF YOU WANT SERVICE WHEN THINGS GO WRONG - PICK ANYONE BUT BA. Personally - I'm joining ABBA (Anyone But BA) again.
The crew is extremely nice, genuine and just pleasant to be around. On multiple flights, I or other passengers had interactions with the crew that were above and beyond what is generally accepted from other airlines. I WILL fly BA whenever available from now on.
The front toilet was out of order - which resulted in a late departure from Gatwick and therefore arrival in Cagliari for the return leg - this was then compounded by ATC issues which resulted in our flight back arriving 2 hours 40 mins late. Frustratingly this was the same problem that had resulted in our outbound flight with BA being late the week before - and then the other two toilets went out of action at 30,000ft - also resulting an i delayed arrival.
It is becoming a habit for British Airways flights to be delayed. This flight was delayed 12 hours before its scheduled take off. The delay got longer as the day progressed. Our 20.30 flight finally departed at 23.33. The flight experience was okay however the cabin was freezing and I was told that the heating was broken. If the plane is not able to provide good conditions for the flight then it should have been grounded. Furthermore, when I requested coffee, I was told that I could only have a cold drink despite a couple seated directly behind me being served coffee and biscuits.
