A few rows up they had fans, so apparently you have to pay extra for air... This wouldn't be a big deal on a short domestic flight, but for an international flight it was a long time to be uncomfortable!"

Their reason referred to a technicality in the booking procedure, but actually BA has put in place "policies" aimed at their financial advantage, over and above reasonable treatment of the customer. BA's refusal to rebook me cost me a lot of inconvenience (3 hours on the phone, for one thing) plus about $150 (I am taking another route to Prague); BA was then able to sell both my original seat and an extra seat on the next flight from Heathrow to Prague. I will never fly BA again in my life if I can help it."

FINNAIR DIRECTED ME TO GO TO THE IBERIA DESK WHO ASSISTED ME WITH THE PROCESS TO FLY AMERICAN AIRLINES FLIGHT."

Cons: "British Airways overbooked the flight so we missed it and the next one due to system failure. We then were trapped in the airport (Heathrow) for the entire day. They 'allowed' us to leave the airport nine hours after we got there but unfortunately there were no trains, planes or buses going to Milan until midnight. After we searched for two hours to get to Milan we found one but had to spend nine hundred pounds to get a flight with another airline to get to my friends wedding. They lost our bags so we had to borrow clothes for the wedding from friends which was so embarrassing! We then continued our trip and they still have not returned our bags seven days into what was going to be the holiday of a lifetime. Not only have they ruined the trip for us both, they have cost us a bomb as we have had to buy clothes as we go."

Cons: "We booked a wheelchair transfer from the connecting flight, and BA refused to provide the service. My elderly mother in law with limited mobility was left alone and stranded at Heathrow and was only assisted by fellow passengers (NOT BA staff). Unbelievable."

Cons: "Every group on plane seemed to have been purposely split up even though there were many empty seats. Difficult to book luggage on the website. They said there were strict size limits on cabin bags, but when we got to the gate they didn’t check any - we had to pay for an extra bag in hold when we could have just used a bigger bag for hand luggage. Everything was difficult. Bag drop didn’t work - we had to queue to to go to the desk 3 times and the lady eventually did it herself. Staff were polite and nice."
Cons: "Awful experience with Latvian staff during boarding. Luggage passed weight and size inspection from Milan to Riga. It has also passed inspection in Riga, but was checked again during boarding. Staff did not want to work with us and penalized my kid by charging him 53 Euro luggage fee. Disappointed that some staff members have suaded us to never fly Ryanair again"

Cons: "They managed to mangle the queuing in the terminal, getting everybody on theit feet and I need the queue 20 minutes before boarding started and then have us standing in a queue on the stairs for ten minutes. The flight was delayed an hour or so, and pass Nebraska then asked to take their seats quickly as if they had caused the delay. The crew were tired but polite. Standard Ryanair fight, really, run for the airline’s convenience rather than the passengers’ comfort."

When I called and enquiried about this I was told that I would have to pay to move the seats even though there were 4 seats available next to my boyfriends allocated seat. This is ridiculous seeing as it was not a separate booking and there were plenty of seats available! On the way back my boyfriend was charged 50 euros for a bag which the flight attendant deemed as oversized even though on the way there it was perfectly fine. Her reasoning was that it would have to be put under the plane... When walking to the plane we saw that most people were asked to leave their hand luggage on the tarmac to be put "under the plane" without being charged so essentially we were ripped off yet again!"

I was flying with an american passport, and the line to have my boarding pass 'stamped' to verify the passport was insanely long. 2. Missed the flight due to long commute within the Stansted terminal 3. Made it to the flight 25 min before takeoff, but was too late, so missed the flight. Had to wait in the terminal for 20 minutes for someone to come pick us up and drive us out of the terminal. 4. Ryanair customer service simply instructed me to rebook my flight online. They were not of any help. 5. I had a tight connection in Milan to the bus that would take me to the city, which i almost missed because my carryon bag had to be checked in. 6. Boarding was absolutely hectic, I was almost put on a flight to Greece instead of Milan. Stay away from Ryanair if you can."
Cons: "Besides being really uncomfortable for various reasons, like the endless security procedures, the crew's bad manners and lots of other annoying things that really baffled me like making people stand in line for half hour before boarding (why?), at the end of the day you have to take into account that Stansted + Ryanair means adding an extra hour to what you would normally take for a flight and a lot of stress, not only for what aforementioned but also for the constant feeling of potentially being ripped off with additional charges like late check in and baggage size."

Online chat "help" asked me to try several things, none of which worked. Paid for bags at airport for twice the price and told how to avoid it on the return flight by cashier. Of course that method didn't work either. Would not process the Paypal payment either. Hard to believe that all the online issues are not at least somewhat deliberate so they can bill more at the airport."

Pros: "Ryan Air's prices cannot be beat! The low cost to fly has made it possible for me to travel around Europe the few times I have visited. I have never been stopped for my carry-on luggage *knock on wood*, which I'm sure may have been slightly over the limits, and it has been greatly appreciated. Very friendly crew, and relatively painless boarding process."
Cons: "The ability to check in online SOUNDS like it will save time, but this is my third Ryan Air flight where I have stood through the line to get my documents checked, been approved, and then gotten all the way to security where I have been told my boarding pass won't scan. If anyone is reading this, I would suggest checking in online, and then just having them print you off a boarding pass at the desk. That boarding pass will for sure scan once you get to security, and will save you the hassle of getting in line twice!"
Cons: "hassled us at every turn. charged us a fee of 135 pounds to board flight saying we weren't there within two hours of check in when indeed we arrived 2:30 minutes before flight and waiting for check in took over 45 minutes. on board staff were even more rude after their card machine broke during our transaction. We didnt have cash on us and simply thought the card with available funds on it would suffice during our travels. However we were held on the plane after arriving in milan and accosted by ryan air officials threatening to sue us because THEIR card machine broke and we didnt have cash. Then they had us escorted out of gate to the atm were we got them cash. the whole entire process was a night mare. NEVER AGAIN"

I chose Ryanair because they had the cheapest flight from Milan to Brussels but I will never fly Ryanair again because in fact their ticket prices after all the fees, were over 100 euro more than other companies and the process of checking in I did not like."

Cons: "I flew from Cork Ireland to PMI and unfortunately a large group of young adults boarded as well. They were drunk, obnoxious, adding around a bottle of alcohol singing loud songs over the announcements. The crew did not control them properly and even had to call the police upon landing. Poorly handled situation that made the rest of the passengers suffer through the appalling behavior."
Cons: "I arrived at the airport 2 hours early to make sure I had plenty of time to find my way around. I found out 45 minutes before my flight that it was delayed 5 hours. They apologized and offered us a $5 voucher for food/ non alcoholic beverage. $5 is like maybe 35% off a meal without a beverage. I wouldn't have even eaten there had it not been for the delay, so I ended up spending more money there to get some dinner. 7 hours in a small airport without things todo makes for a very long day. It also would have been nice if the airport had charging stations for your phone and electronic devices."
