Pros: "There was a special needs boy that sat behind me and he had some issues (long flight, understandable) and the crew were AMAZING with him. Not everyone has common or even human decency. These people were rad, and it was lovely to see."
Cons: "We went to Gatwick(75.00 Uber) to reschedule in person and we were told there were no refunds and if we wanted to change it would be 250 pounds. It is my wife’s and my 35 year anniversary and this wants a mood dampener"
Pros: "Pilot was friendly and addressed the crew and passengers multiple times with updates."
Pros: "Nothing really"
Cons: "Politeness during check-in, timeliness in providing gate information, having a person at the BA desk to help, being on time"
Pros: "For the most part the people and workers were very nice"
Cons: "Couldn’t add baggage with the ticket bought online. Once I did it cost $100 to add 1 bag. Checking in process was the worst, as many kiosks didn’t work and the software seemed buggy."
Pros: "BAc- great brand and very professional."
Cons: "Nothing for me"
Pros: "Fab flight in every way"
Cons: "Transit time should be calculated reasonably."
Pros: "Flight screens showed info"
Cons: "Bring back free food ba"
Cons: "Had no idea we had not payed to check a bag. Could have paid online prior to boarding for 30 pounds, but because we did not know, had to pay 65 pounds in order to check a bag at the airport. I am extremely dissatisfied with this flight and with British airways in general. I wish I would have known about the baggage and I could have saved myself a LOT of money. British airway crew were rude and unhelpful. I will not be flying with them again."
Pros: "This is a no frills BA flight, but I'd rather do fly with BA than the other options. You have to pay for food and drink, the quality of crew far exceeds the usual low cost dross."
Cons: "Nothing for the price. Although my preference would be BA via London City."
Cons: "The connection was not good too little time between flights also the American Airlines desk was hidden. We had to get boarding passes at the exit gate. There should have been a rep to guide passengers to desk."
Pros: "Quickness of flight."
Cons: "Came round collecting cups etc within minutes of being served. No sky shop. And I was sitting in 3rd row (by choice) but didn't know I would have a curtain inches from my face for most of the journey."
Cons: "One piece of luggage was left at Heathrow. It arrived on the next flight so it turned out ok but was stressful for an hour."
Pros: "Good for leg room and nice and the seats are comfy and wide too. Still get a free drink and snack on this flight and the service was friendly and efficient throughout. We were very quick to board and flight landed early, so very happy."
Cons: "I'm guessing this plane was stopping in EDI for the night, so it parked way, way away from the terminal, so we had an extra 15 minutes none of us had been expecting to wait for the bus and transfer."
Pros: "The seat was fine. the flight was as expected."
Cons: "expectation that one will fly with only one carry-on bag and not receive any food or beverage during the flight. industry trend is ridiculous ..."
Pros: "Much quieter than Heathrow so a more relaxed environment to travel. Flight left slightly late but made up time and landed ahead of schedule."
Cons: "Having to pay for a cup of tea. No issue with BA charging for alcolhol in a 1 hour flight but still think drinks like tea/coffee should be provided free."
Pros: "Crew was mostly kind and helpful. My bags arrived at their final destination."
Cons: "I was told that I had to check my bag because it would not fit in the overhead bin. When I got on the plane I found that the overhead bins were ample sized for my hiking pack. I know that British Airways has a policy regarding bags in overhead bins that basically says 'if you cannot lift your bag into the overhead bin un-assisted, you must check your bag.' My husband and I are both experienced hikers, we lifted our packs unassisted on the last plane, yet they forced us to check our bags. I'm glad our bags made it to the UK, but this is literally the first time I've checked a bag and had it arrive. Also, the boarding passes sent to me on my phone were rejected by almost every security/boarding check. This is after BA supposedly fixed their error with the previous boarding passes. Overall not pleased with the experience but glad I paid under $300 for my ticket."
Cons: "Everything was sub par with BA. We upgraded to world traveler plus and the seats were old, there was trash from the previous flight and the tv screens were from 1995. The movies are only on loop so when you take off and are finally allowed to turn on the tv, the movies are 25 minutes in. All around a waste of money. Will never fly BA AGAIN!!"
Cons: "Left late. Everything was unorganized."
Cons: "As requested checked my bag in and it took an absolute age to get my bag in Edinburgh. I ordered a toastie it was lukewarm"
Pros: "Amazing service in club Europe"
Cons: "Nothing to say"
Pros: "Cabin crew"
Cons: "Boarded on a bus"
Pros: "Last minute flight (booked 4 hours before departure), one way, economy, for €99 from Amsterdam to Edinburgh via Gatwick. Long layover at Gatwick (around 3 hours), but I had much work to do anyway, so time went faster than I realised. Not sure if this was the case at Schiphol, but at Gatwick had priority security queue as a BA customer."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "Overpriced and outperformed by the Budget Airlines."
Pros: "Comfortable enough seats"
Cons: "Not even drinks were served"
Pros: "Staff at Heathrow was professional and efficient. Staff on board was professional and friendly as well."
Cons: "could not even get water to drink without purchasing"
Pros: "The best ever and a flew crew that understands hospital."
Cons: "Movies were second rate"
Pros: "Even on a short flight, you can feel a difference with the crew. This one was very good."
Cons: "security in Heathrow was AWFUL. There was only ONE person working to screen luggage AND check luggage that was questionable. There wee 15 people waiting for luggage who almost missed their connections. I sprinted through the airport and made my connection with 2 minutes to spare."
Cons: "No hay entretenimiento"
Pros: "Service was great - so polite and friendly. And the coffee was worth every penny."
Cons: "the luggage fee - Now I understand why the fare was so inexpensive! I'm an American and thus slow :-)"
Pros: "Everything was great"
Pros: "It left on time."
Cons: "It was American airlines not BA. British airways never sent our bags on our flight leaving Gatwick. We got our luggage 2 days later."
Cons: "Did not get the seats I paid for"
Pros: "Was not made aware of baggage policy. Their regular policy allows one checked baggage but not our ticket. Was not prompted when doing online check in and led to me paying almost 200 pounds for luggage. Just ridiculous!"
Cons: "Baggage policy not clear - good way to force customers to pay more and help their revenue!"
Pros: "Boarding was straight forward with the automated scanning of boarding pass."
Cons: "I was totally taken aback that I had to pay for tea and coffee. After having to pay for baggage and to reserve my seat for the flight. At least beverages could have been offered at no additional cost. Very disappointed with BA."
Pros: "The 1 hr flight"
Cons: "They charged 3.50£ for tea"
Pros: "Comfort of plane"
Cons: "No indication given of delay. kayak knew before ground staff. On arrival parked at cargo terminal and had to get bus. Then stuck on bus for 10 minutes as could not get terminal fooors open. They turned heating up at full blast with no air. Surprised nobody passed out"
Pros: "I was travelling alone with a baby and a toddler and found most of the staff very helpful - stowing my bags, helping to carry my buggy, helping with seat belts etc."
Cons: "A member of staff at the gate referred to my 2 year old daughter as "a difficult child" to another member of staff because she didn't like having her photo taken. I felt it was very rude and unfair, particularly as I had to lift her to an awkward height (whilst also holding a baby) as the camera was in a fixed position. It was clear the staff member didn't have children herself!"
Pros: "I received an email cancelling the flight before I left home."
Cons: "Last minute cancellation of the flight by BA meant I was unable to attend the event I was booked on. Have found service has definitely declined on recent BA flights I've travelled on. Check in staff are good though."
Pros: "The seats were comfortable and the crew helpful."
Cons: "More than an hour late in taking off, and the food is almost inedible - get the Air Canada chef on board!"
Pros: "Slept most of the way. Cabin looked new, so that was nice."
Cons: "Having to gate check my bag even though it fit in the overhead bin."
Cons: "Did not like that I thought it was a BA flight but was really a EI flight , which means I had to get a boarding pass but I was sure was on BA and almost went to there booking counter to get boarding pass."
Pros: "Nothing. At. All."
Cons: "This was a nightmare. BA had no flights available to Edinburgh. Booked on 3 separate flights at 2 different airports. Last one was canceled outright. After being awake for 28 hours and traveling for 15, we finally were given a hotel room for the night in London. Still trying to get to Edinburgh."
Cons: "Couldn't say as the flight was cancelled on arrival in LHR. Took 5hrs and 8 seperate question to discover what was going on and to be offered a flight to Glasgow as an alternative. The flight to Glasgow also took of late arriving at 2310 local. Europecar were great hired a Mercedes E220 with a gps to complete the journey to Edinburgh, at a cost of 600GBP for 3 1/2 days including fuel. Arrived 8hrs late, seriously affecting sleep patterns and ruining an already tight schedule. BA could have met us exiting ac from LAS in T5 explained situation, new boarding cards etc, total fail, should have booked flight with Lufthansa to EDI via Frankfurt for 600USD less. BA Staff comments such as " I'm sorry I haven't been trained for this situation, I can't help you after 40 minutes" etc Total lack of staff available and able to assist, super poor knowledge, massive queues not moving."
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "BA is the national flag carrier, operating from the newest terminal at the country's top airport. You would think that they could manage, in the 21st century, to get us to our flight on time, using an airbridge instead of 30 year old buses. Said buses were also too few in number so boarding took the thick end of 40 minutes as they shuttled back and forth. BA are a complete and utter joke. There is no excuse for this level of penny-pinching inadequacy."
Pros: "Yes"
Cons: "Need to reduce waiting hours at gate"
Pros: "No issues - everything went smoothly"
Cons: "There are no nets on the back of the seat in front of you to put things like water bottles - headphones, books etc."
Cons: "Pointless paying extra for priority boarding as both lanes boarded at the same time"
Cons: "If the seat and sitting area would have been cleaner and if you could recline your seat"
Cons: "Carcassonne is a tiny airport, be aware there are only vending machines after security, and not much seating. Announcements difficult to hear. Flight was fine, usual Ryanair."
Pros: "From arriving at the airport to departing destination airport everything was seamless and perfect. Would like to travel like this every time. Hats off to everyone who involved."
Cons: "Being treated like a valued customer. It makes a difference."
Cons: "Checking opened 20 minutes late and lengthy queues through security meantwe had no time to grab food/shopping as we had to rush to gate as no notifications that our flight was actually delayed by an hour. Everyone was herded onto buses to wait there for some reason rather than at gate"
Pros: "price time of flight"
Cons: "unable to choose your seat free expensive tea and coffee and others"
Cons: "Flight was delayed, but nothing to tell us it was delayed apart from the screens. I got priority booking for the flight and on the way home no one shouted or got priority passengers over so it was a waste of money."
Pros: "This flight issues were so plentiful they provided me with knowledge on how not to run an airline."
Cons: "5 X delays, Incompetent pilot, No organisation of ground crew 2.5hr late"
Pros: "We had an emergency exit seat with extra leg room."
Cons: "Check in, delays, late arrival, luggage pick up too slow."
Cons: "Check in was chaos"
Cons: "Seat pitch is too short for anyone over 5’8”"
Pros: "Price"
Cons: "Lateness and the waiting in the area to board with about 6 other flights in a small area with confusing announcements"
Pros: "I took 1230 flight from stansted airport to Edinburgh. I carried a personal baggage with me on the plane then flight attendant took it away and told me I will get it back at the arrival belt. When I landed I couldn’t find mine. I had reported to the ground desk and they not helpful at all. So now I lost all of my travel documents and money. I feel so bad. This Tuesday I will fly back to Thailand and still don’t know how to redo my passport."
Cons: "Issues getting checked in. Multiple lines which we were ushered from and to only to be told to go back to self check kiosk. By the time we get to self check kiosk for the 2nd time our gate is closed and we’ve missed our flight. Not sure why the person at the check in counter couldn’t check our bags for us and get us moving through security??? No offer of any reimbursement and additionall cost for new flight later in the day at more than twice the cost of the flight we missed. Lack of clear direction or any semblance of customer service. I guess you get what you pay for..."
Pros: "Nothing although crew were friendly"
Cons: "3 hour delay in both directions this week. No announcements made about delay. Gates changed 2x. Poor communication throughout. Email from Ryanair about cancellation/refund options received AFTER flight. Got home at 1 am. Truly horrible experience"
Pros: "We managed to arrive."
Cons: "I disliked the lack of information about the delays, the poor facilities and extremely rude staff. It’s understandable that they’ve been working all day, but unfortunately this is the job they chose and I am paying for service of which I should be satisfied with."
Cons: "When check in took place we were kept in a dark, cold, wet & windy covered area for about 10/15 minutes before being allowed to board the plane. This is really unacceptable in this day & age."
Cons: "Couldn't recline seat Can't use Bluetooth as phone on airplane mode Hold luggage cost a bit expensive Automated seat allocation separates couples so we are forced to purchase seat to sit together. This is unacceptable."
Pros: "We had a very short flight from Dublin to Edinburgh and everything was good"
Pros: "Smooth boarding and pleasant staff"
Cons: "Paying extra to sit together"
Pros: "The smooth landing."
Cons: "The tray tables sloped downwards making everything fall on to your lap. No storage under tray tables. No room for legs. Just a joke. Boarding took ages on tarmac. Staff were casual at best."
Pros: "Everything was great good staff with an exception. Quick and easy boarding"
Cons: "Crew member very abrupt didn't take time to explain that he was doing something just hand gestured to say time out. And when questioned about it no explanation amd didn't listen to my com0laint about his behaviour just brushed me off. Very disappointed. When we landed passport control was very slow and kept us all waiting in the cold. Self scanning machines were not working."
Pros: "Nothing. Staff were pleasent enough"
Cons: "This flight was purchased on my behalf and was not chosen by me. Worst commercial flight ive ever been on. I will never spend a penny of my own money on a ryanair flight. Awful"
Pros: "The price makes it very inviting to fly Ryanair. I misunderstood the need to electronically check in before I arrived at the airport but was helped, very courteously, by the ticket agent."
Cons: "Any food or beverage was for a fee. It was a short flight and midday so it wasn't a problem for me but under different circumstances it could be."
Pros: "Grew was nice, professional"
Cons: "Flight was delayed. I missed my business meeting"
Pros: "Quick flight"
Cons: "Nothing free, not even a cup of water"
Pros: "Price"
Cons: "They didn't have record that I had paid for extra luggage for my party of 7. Luckily, I had my paperwork so I was able to finally get my luggage on without paying again. The flight bordered 40 minutes late and then sat on the runway for an hour. They was never an announcement as to why. My mother is in a wheelchair. They didn't let her pre-board, and then put her wheelchair through with the luggage. She had to get to the luggage carousel without it. They told her to just walk. Luckily, she can walk a little with help. Yikes, if she was totally disabled."
Pros: "Staff were friendly, and the flight was smooth, plane was clean."
Cons: "The flight was slightly delayed by the previous flight landing late. Obviously this happens, that's fine, but on landing at stanstead the bags from the hold were not released onto the baggage carousel for over an hour and a half after we landed. This is completely unacceptable and wasn't acknowledged by airport staff for over an hour, with no explanation given at any point."
Pros: "The flight was A-okay, but the experience leading up to it was not."
Cons: "First of all, the website is laid out in such a way that it's easy to make unnessasarry additional purchases. We ended up purchasing seats at the very back of the plane. We were unable to print our boarding tickets prior to checking in at the airport and after waiting in line for help, were directed to self help computers that we had to pay-to-use. These were not working and after lining up for help several more times (to get change to pump into the computers etc...) and sending off a 'chat help request we finally left and got a different clerk. While this second clerk was telling us we'd have to pay for her help, someone else overheard our challenges and took over from the clerk, printed our boarding tickets at no further charge and got us on our way. While we certainly appreciate the service at the end, it should never have come to that."
Pros: "Nothing. Utterly horrible experience."
Cons: "I checked in two days in advance, had to pay for the check-in and baggage fee. There was no link sent to me to print out my boarding pass When we got to Stansted, there were no working kiosks. We went to the check-in desk, where apparently many people were having the same problem we were. My wife and I were told by a very rude Ryanair employee we hadn't checked in. I showed the woman my email receipt and she refused to honor it. We are challenging the charge on our credit card. She lectured us on showing up to the airport two hours in advance. We told her we had, but had been in line for 50 minutes. My wife paid 50 pounds each to check us in, even then the security set up was... labyrinthine. And mind you, I say that knowing full well how long an airport security line can be. When we got to the point where we were supposed to hand our boarding passes over to be scanned and verified, mine wouldn't work. I waited there while the security officer called the desk we'd just come from to verify I was allowed to fly. Mind you, we were being told the gate was about to close, so time was precious. After getting through that and security, we encountered another problem. If you don't know, Stansted airport is actually a mall with an airport somewhere inside. We ran through a long, snaking corridor of shops, following signs saying "all gates." It was an absurdly long run. I don't think I've seen any other airport laid out so poorly, most have shops mixed in with gates, but not Stansted. The gates are all at the end of this silly commercial strip. But not really, you see... when we got to the end, there were no gates, but trams to another terminal. We boarded the tram, got to our terminal and ran even faster to make our flight. Luckily, Ryanair is so disgustingly disorganized that the flight was delayed. Amazingly that which caused us so much stress ended up saving us. I will never fly on this pathetic, god-forsaken airline again. It is a scam designed to filch people who are in a desperate position out of money. Also, I would advise anyone to stay away from Stansted airport. Seriously, I've flown extensively in the Americas and have encountered some pretty chaotic facilities, but Stansted was utterly soviet in its disorganization. I'd rather wait for a bus at New York City's Port Authority bus station, navigating vomiting hobos, than deal with Ryanair, or Stansted airport, ever again."
Cons: "Terrible customer service. Rude people working."
Pros: "Good flight, friendly crew."
Cons: "Flight taxied from gate more than 40 minutes late. We stood in line to board for well over an hour."
Cons: "Boarding was very slow, 30 minutes late taking off. Everything else was okay, nothing special but nothing wrong"
Pros: "Price and noticable improvement from ryan air"
Cons: "Real value for money"
Pros: "Can't argue about price Planes were within 20 minutes of expected arrival time"
Cons: "Slow slow slow boarding, took forever. Too many people with big carry on bags that they were unable to stow, holding up the entire aisle. It was an evening flight and the lights were dimmed, but then the crew started blaring loud dance music before selling scratch cards: seriously annoyed the majority of the plane that was sleeping!"
Pros: "Inexpensive, easy boarding, arrived early."
Cons: "They tried to sell us stuff (perfumes, etc.) the entire flight. It was like watching home shopping network for the entire flight. This may be a European thing, I'm not sure."
Pros: "Great price and convenient . On time"
Cons: "Tight quarters"
Pros: "Cheap travel"
Cons: "We were delayed two hours, with no announcements of changes. You needed to watch the boards and if you missed it, you missed the flight even after you had sat there for two hours."
Cons: "Was late almost one hour"
Cons: "I arrived at the airport 2 hours early to make sure I had plenty of time to find my way around. I found out 45 minutes before my flight that it was delayed 5 hours. They apologized and offered us a $5 voucher for food/ non alcoholic beverage. $5 is like maybe 35% off a meal without a beverage. I wouldn't have even eaten there had it not been for the delay, so I ended up spending more money there to get some dinner. 7 hours in a small airport without things todo makes for a very long day. It also would have been nice if the airport had charging stations for your phone and electronic devices."
Pros: "Crew were friendly. Boarding seemed to take forever but the crew were smiley and bright."
Cons: "Landing late at night and having to wait for buses. When you book a seat at the front, the buses mess with the order so you end up on the last bus to leave, last to reach customs, last to get out of the airport. From touchdown to taxi - one hour with no bags to collect - that's very poor. Arriving at midnight with children this extended delay turns a sleepy activity into a fractious activity. If there was another choice on the route, with better options, would happily pay more to take it."
Pros: "Flight attendants look and act with great professionalism. Boarding line was orderly, which doesn't always occur."
Cons: "I had just flown in on another Ryanair flight where I had stored my roll-on in the overhead bin. For the next leg the gate agent said my bag must fit in the "If it fits your bag flies free" container. It did not fit and he ignored my observation that it had fit in the bin just 30 minutes prior (identical planes Boeing 737 800). He charged me 50 Euros, delayed boarding, but remained courteous throughout. My complaint is that the unequal sizes of overhead bins and size-gauge allows for caprice and introduces tension between customer and agent. He was within his guidelines but many bags were allowed on that would not have fit. So does the company wish to continue a practice that alienates customers and places extra stress on gate agents? I'll never fly Ryanair until they eliminate this shell game."
Pros: "Nice crew"
Cons: "Couldn't understand over the loud speaker.. Boarding was awful-waiting standing. Touch down was scary"
Pros: "The in-flight staff was friendly"
Cons: "The boarding process was incredibly disorganized, with no rhyme or reason for why we were waiting in line after line after line without getting close to boarding the plane. The flight was delayed so we missed our takeoff time, and had to sit on the tarmac for an additional hour and a half until we could get another time. There were very few updates given, and people had to ask flight attendants for updates since no one knew what was going on (even the flight attendants didn't know). We weren't provided any snacks or drinks (not even water) and were told we couldn't even purchase water from them because they weren't allowed to sell anything until we were in the air. When we arrived in Edinburgh, we had to wait for a gate to be available because we were so late, and then had to wait an additional 15-20 minutes for grounds crew (which ended up being one woman) before we could get off the plane."
Cons: "Our backpacks cost as much as our tickets. I probably will use them again, though."
Flight delayed over 2 hours because “technical malfunction”.
I missed the flight from Manchester to Dublin because of poor informations from Aer Lingus and the airport, no possibility to check in online, they don't respond to phone calls, I had to buy another tickets to enable me travel to Dublin from Manchester. I want my money to refund.
Late flight, very uncomfortable aircraft. Very very rude team
I were there 20min before departure and they didn’t let me on the board with 5 other people, after all they admitted it was their(Ryanair) fault.
