Scores according to KAYAK customer reviews
Cons: "More legroom but then I'm tall. Otherwise just what you would expect from a budget airline"
Pros: "I paid extra to allocate seat upon booking. When I went to check in I was asked to pay for seats again. We then had to sit separately. Upon boarding we were asked to pay £25 each for our hand luggage - even though we fly every month with Ryanair back and forth and have never paid before. Rude staff"
Cons: "Staff could be taught customer service skills. and stop taking more and more money off people but advertise as cheap flights because they arent. We have vowed never to use Ryan air again."
Pros: "Left on time arrived on time luggage also"
Cons: "Ice is not carried on flights by RyanAir"
Pros: "Not much."
Cons: "The staff were rude. The flights were delayed. The staff at budapest checked our passports/boarding passes and then we were kept in a holding area on a stairwell between the desk and the plane for over 30 minutes, in a hot environment. The seats were not comfortable."
Pros: "Boarding was quick and tickets are very affordable."
Cons: "Seats do not recline. No place to charge phone. No WiFi."
Cons: "Boarding took long time took ages for a coffee . Stag and hen parties very loud and rowdy"
Pros: "Crew was professional and well organised."
Pros: "flight efficient and smooth, thanks"
Cons: "My problem was not flight itself, but boarding from T2 in Charleroi (arrived too early and nearly no facility to eat and wait in a decenta way)."
Cons: "Delayed for three hours then they gave us a 5eur/£3.50 voucher which we were only allowed to use for pizza and WATER. No other soft drink. The delay was ridiculous. The allowed us to board and be seated for about 15 mins before telling us that there was a problem with the aircraft. DONT YOU CHECK THIS BEFORE PASSENGERS BOARD?! Priority was a waste of money we all got on at the same time anyway. Rubbish service, rubbish airline and my £26 flight turned in £60 easily with all the extras which were a waste of my money."
Pros: "No issues getting on flight pretty straight forward."
Pros: "Short flight and we arrived safely. Relatively inexpensive."
Cons: "The entire process was chaos. First you wait in a crowd to find out which desk to drop your bags and/or check in. Then you race there with the herd. Then with another herd to the gate. After heading down what seems like a boarding ramp you go outside, then into a holding pen. It’s a giant metal shed that looks like it was made for cattle. Then after standing there for 30-40 minutes, you go outside again to board the plan. On board, there were no amenities, but that was expected."
Cons: "The crew were soooo rude to everyone! Their card machine to buy drinks wasn’t working so they had to take cash but they didn’t have change! They charged 4 pounds for water. Then they were selling scratch tickets AND perfume and jewelry! THEY EVEN SPRAYED PURFUME ON THE PLANE! It gave me such a trrrible headache and made me even more nauseous than I already was from the flight!!! So smelly!!! The seats didn’t recline And my husbands seat was ripped. So terrible all around!!!"
Pros: "Price, flight crew."
Cons: "The gate was in a sheet-metal hangar outside the terminal alongside the parked plane, no bathroom or seating. We had to line up for the plane outside in the night air for 30 minutes before boarding. We were overcharged for checked baggage."
Cons: "This is my first time to fly with Ryan Air with unforgettable exciting experience. Check in T2A and depart at 'T2B , no flight details ."
Pros: "Flight delayed, 20 minutes to get through passport control, chaos at the car park due to changes & fees! Welcome back to England ☹️"
Cons: "Ryanair delays, Manchester airport in general, poor and anti-travelers focused"
Cons: "I don't think it was very clear when I made the reservation that paying for a checked bag was only one way. I would like to have some reminder or notification that I had selected only one way. I was surprised to have to pay for the bag on the way back. And it was significantly more than on the website."
Cons: "Delayed at Stansted due to Donald Trump"
Pros: "V efficient airport. Got through quickly and no rushing due to size. V pleasant staff despite full plane. Nice flight path over by Ireland’s highest mountain range on the departure. Also nice sunset on right of plane. All on time"
Cons: "Maybe enough seats for everyone after security but obv right for space"
Pros: "Nothing. They treat people like animals."
Cons: "The hidden fees, the service, the constant delays without reason or apologies, the filthy planes, just terrible overall. Will never fly with them again. Pay more and avoid this airline."
Pros: "Low cost"
Cons: "Passengers treated like cattles. Not prepared at all"
Cons: "Boarding was not convenient, a lot of walking outside and standing near the plane. We were not offered just water for free. The worst thing: husband and wife with one checked in bag and one carry on bag can't board together, should board in different time."
Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "Had tickets with reserved seats. Check-in counter opened only shortly before flight. I checked a bag at the counter (not at the gate) and was surprised to learn that the fee was 40 Euros instead of the expected 25. We were marched outside to stand for 15 minutes before anyone was permitted to board."
Pros: "No pude abordar por un error de la gente de atencion al cliente y despues viaje por otra aerolinea pagando nuevamente mi pasaje"
Cons: "I used my carry on suitcase for a Ryanair flights in Brussels and for multiple other flights with other airlines and had no issues. At Ciampino they told me my bag was too large and forced me to pay 50 euro to bring the bag on. I explained to them I've had no problems prior to this flight and they did not seem to care. I won't be flying Ryanair again."
Pros: "Cheap prices"
Pros: "The price."
Cons: "Thę policy to make sure you do not sit with your family and have to buy seats to make sure you are all sitting together. The salaries of the staff are the worst in the industry."
Pros: "If you just need to hop across countries and can get by without knowing your seat or without a big bag, take Ryan. They’re reliable and you get exactly what you pay for."
Cons: "You’re not going to like it if you don’t like to get nickled and dimed to death. Check in and print a boarding pass before you get to the airport...it’s 50 quid if you check in in person!"
Pros: "Flight boarding was delayed but arrived on time to the destination. Cheap flight"
Cons: "No entertainment or free snacks/water. Flights were cheap but you can't cancel them, just modify the reservation. I bought the return flight to a different airport by mistake but i was not able to cancel"
Pros: "Cheap flights - that’s about it for the positives.."
Cons: "- Clear policy to split people up unless you pay for seats. They. Seem to deny this but it’s as obvious as it gets. Makes boarding much slower as people try to switch seats - They check in 50% of hand luggage bags on every flight - why not offer the chance to check in small bags for free up front rather than make people scramble for valuables after being forced to check in hand luggage - Very poor seats - uncomfortable and cramped"
Cons: "Flight was delayed."
Cons: "Having to pay extra for everything!"
Cons: "Crew was rude. They look loke their are not happy with their jobs... is that the case they shouldn’t be working with people, customer service skills is the number one requirement to have a successful business."
Pros: "Comfy seats and good legroom, great cabin staff. Good special assistance much appreciated."
Cons: "Flight delay but quality of service made up for it."
Cons: "Staff at the check-in desk was rude and condescending."
Cons: "Did not make the flight on time"
Cons: "The flight did not fly out of the airport I selected thru kayak. I missed my flight because I was unable to make it to the correct airport in time. I will NEVER use Kayak again."
Cons: "Complete chaos at the airport, with no real queue. Just had blobs of people crowding around counters with no indication of which one to got to if you needed to check in, print a ticket, or check a bag. No one was available to answer questions about which counter to go to, and when you finally waited and got to a counter, the attendants were very dismissive and rude."
Pros: "Effective service point A to B. Flew from Hamburg Manchester and seated 17A. Leg room good on the exit row."
Cons: "New slimline seats will be difficult for anything more than 2 hours"
Cons: "The crew is not welcoming, cramped seat, long line and force to check in my bag and paid 50euros."
Pros: "Fast efficient service"
Cons: "Some times cold crew"
Cons: "We purchased our tickets through Kayak. Ryanair website was not accessible to add luggage and check in. On the check in counter, we were not allowed to check in because they claimed that we had to check in online. We contacted the Ryanair desk to solve the problem, and we showed them that we are not able to access the website to check in. Eventually, they forced us to buy brand new tickets or we would have missed our flight."
Pros: "Crew was nice."
Cons: "Confusion about getting boarding passes. Checked in online for party of 2 but later found out we had to pay for second person at airport. Weird! Seats were "cozy" that's code for small and cramped. Good thing I'm a small person and flight was short."
Cons: "Don't even get water on flight pretty cheap"
Pros: "Organized and efficient at low cost"
Cons: "Bare bones, but that was expected for the price"
Pros: "So quick and easy"
Cons: "Shortage of seating in boarding area."
Pros: "got to Rome 5 hours late"
Cons: "This flight was about the 5th leg of our European trip. I attempted several times to complete the early check in on the website so that we would save the fee of checking in later at the airport but I was unable to. We left our hotel 4 hours prior to the flight departure because the metro ride was 1 hour to the Barcelona airport. Next, we waited in line at the airport and were then told to go wait in another line and pay 50 euros each for the airport check-in. Then, our flight was delayed so we got to spend a whole day of our vacation in the Barcelona airport! What a waste of valuable time for us. Next tour of Europe I will gladly spend up to $400 more for a reliable flight on a different airlines. Time is more valuable, especially vacation time!"
Pros: "Great app"
Cons: "Boarding was manic and Kerry airport facilities poor."
Cons: "Horrible airline!!! You could not pay me to fly with them again!!! Short, rude staff, every little thing was an additional charge, super uncomfortable seats. Flying with them was a nightmare, never again!"
