The seat was also super uncomfortable and the back of the cushion was rolling forward, which made it hard to sit for that long. we also didn’t have a gate when we landed so that added on an extra 30minutes. Such as maintence, rebooting plane systems, etc. Employees were clues and every employee gave different explanations. Once we boarded the flight crew was nasty and rude. Lastly, after boarding we were held at gate for another half hour before taking off. This was first time in many years i flew on jetblue bc i switched to american post jetblue tarmac nightmare. I will never fly jetblue again ever."

She refused to take our bags in the full sevice line until other passengers deferred and insisted our bags be checked In ahead of them since we had been waiting longer. There were not enough people to staff the bars in the JFK terminal before our flight boarded. Waited 15 minutes for one bartender to return from break. At next bar, in front of gate #16 there was no bartender. After 15 minutes someone appeared, only to take orders and disappear. Finally got a drink at a restaurant, nearby, but they said the drink had to be consumed there, not taken in the plane. No alcohol was offered on the plane between JFK and Burlington. Baggage crew ripped the handle off my Rimowan luggage."

Pros: "You can pretty much count on having a great crew with JetBlue This flight's embodied patience: patience with the lady who wanted to bring a smartecarte loaded with diaper bags, blankies, handbags and stuffed animals onto the plane; patience with the baby in the first row who cried throughout the entire boarding process and patience witht; patience with the lady in the first row (who didn't have a seat in front of her to put her handbag containing a small service dog underneath) and two, I guess, wanted to keep the dog on her lap during take off. It was a plane full of first time flyers, with resulting chaos. And they kept their cool throughout."

But it sure makes it trying for people who are sharing the same cramped space. You don't realize that there's an art to being a good passenger until you see passengers who are unskilled at being passengers. I know this sounds very unkind, but it was a late flight."
Pros: "The check in line was a little long, but moved quickly. Then the unthinkable happened and we got wind of our friend passing just as we got to the front. The woman working at the counter felt so bad for us that she actually moved us into our own row so that we could have the space to grieve. We were also traveling with a dog so that in itself was so kind and accommodating."
Cons: "The ambient lighting used throughout the cabin was too bright and stimulating to let me fall asleep in an overnight flight, should have been dimmed more or turned off. The seats did not help the comfort levels either, should have been able to recline a tad bid more. The carry-on-bag situation is getting out of control, you should crack down on people who bring too many bags or oversized bags that should be checked in instead."

Somehow we wound up with seats right next to the bathroom door, which would have been a pretty uncomfortable situation for a variety of reasons, but the flight wasn't full, and she helped us find a suitable place to sit. Also, my wife and I usually take our tea with honey vs. milk and sugar. Even though honey is usually one of the options for tea, she found a way to accommodate our request. The lunch meals were the best I can remember in a long time on an airline flight. They might have been the best I've ever had. The chicken curry was authentic, flavorful and spicy. Frankly my outbound flight had problems. My luggage got damaged. The transfer experience in Manchester left a LOT to be desired. I wasn't planning to use Virgin Atlantic again, but this flight crew (Daniella especially) redeemed Virgin Atlantic. They were attentive, pleasant, diligent."

Shortly after take-off, our calm and comfortable more or less empty section of the aircraft was colonised by an extended family of Orthodox Jews in a kind of airborne West Bank situation. They weren’t in our section of the cabin at all to start with, and I don’t know why they were apparently able to get a free upgrade that I had to pay £100 for. We went from being in an almost empty cabin to being basically sat in the middle of an Orthodox Jewish kindergarten. It was awful! They were noisy, messy, were constantly getting in and out of their seats, the back of my seat kept getting kicked, and there was even a baby crawling around the aisle. We were surrounded. I have no idea whether this is characteristic of Orthodox Jewish family life, or just a completely inconsiderate family. They didn’t exactly ruin my flight, but they didn’t make it enjoyable either. I asked to be moved. The cabin crew were great and acknowledged the difficulty of the situation. My wife lost her window seat but at least we still had the legroom and peace and quiet."

The dinner selections ran out early, so a good proportion did not get their choice."

There is no wonder wall on the 747 only a wonder "basket" If you are flying from Gatwick, upgrading to premium isn't worth it. Go to upper class or fly with another airline. Check in was quicker for Economy passengers and it proved a challenge to work past the economy passengers during boarding to get to the premium agent."

Cons: "I wouldn't rate this flight on a five-star grid--I give it 0.0 stars. Delta's economy seats are so tiny that even a small person like myself finds it agonizing to ride in them for a moderate-length flight. We need aggressive regulation of our airlines to prevent the unconscionable and humiliating way they treat economy passengers. It's not safe, healthy or humane to ask human beings to sit for hours in tiny spaces with very little air (on top of everything else, the plane was mercilessly hot the whole time). Next time I will choose a European carrier--even the discount Euro carriers are better than any US airline."

Loved the wide variety of entertainment available inflight, the AC outlets on EVERY row, and though I didn't need it this time, the availability of Wi-Fi Internet is appreciated. And though we left 40 minutes late, we made up part of the time and arrived only 20 min later than scheduled. Bravo Delta! I'll have to check out your version of Mileage Plus."
Cons: "I couldn't understand the gate agent's announcements due to language issue but most of all competing announcements from the gate behind me. One of the flight attendents was more bossy I felt than necessary. She told me not to put my backpack in the overhead bin, even though there was enough space and the back 3rd of the aircraft was half empty (I was in the last loading zone so there weren't many more people after me)."

Whoever checked me in could see there were lots off empty seats and couldn't take the time to seat my wife and I together. Hmmm. Terminal at Dublin was small and over crowded. There was 1 agent at the gate checking in everyone on this flight for about 10 minutes until she finally got some help. You must do better"

Only had one hour to reach connection. Lost an immense amount of time getting swabbed and patted down. The gate was closed when we arrived. Had to run to the gate. By accident we found out the gate was closed from someone who happened to hear word that we were looking for the gate to JFK. Almost didn’t get on the flight. If we didn’t run who knows if we would have made it. If you are only giving people an hour to get to their connection, then don’t let them get held up for 40 minutes. It’s idiotic."

The screen is very close to one's face when the passenger in front reclines all the way. The airport didn't have any compatible charging ports for iphones from the USA. But the plane had them. That's good. It would be good if mobile check-in boarding passes were acceptable."

When we notified them, all they said was "Oh! Someone should've told you. Sorry." The one in charge of the crew offered us champagne but never came back with it. So with my girlfriend, we spent 8 hours from London to NYC in darkness with no entertainment despite having paid for it. Finally, I've been trying to get in touch with customer service for 3 weeks now and I still haven't gotten a hold of anyone."

It's an obvious thing to economise on from the airline's point of view, but it doesn't really have to cost them anything. And the choice of new films was somewhat disappointing - they are relying quite a lot on older films. and no duty free at all (the crew were apparently not given the correct paperwork to allow sales). This was disappointing as I had been hoping to pick up a dual SIM gadget. None of these minus points are major, but they detracted from my enjoyment of the flight"

Cons: "Flight was late and announcements were not understandable over the PA. While I understand that seats are made for the "average passenger" and at 5'2" I am on the very low end of that, seat was very uncomfortable with a metal bar higher than the seat cushion poking forward where the cushion met the seatback. The temperature was extremely variable and when my seat mates who did not speak English very well tried to flag a flight attendant down to get an extra blanket, the flight attendants actively ignored them, so I hit my assistance button and my light went on, then after some time it went off again without our being helped so I hit it again about 10 minutes later and my light went on again but was again ignored. Then the attendants started selling things from the flight magazine and looked the other way as they went by my hopeful beacon. When they finally did get to me, I got a curt "I'll see if there is anything I can do" and she went off, returning 5 minutes later with one blanket when there were two people. Later on I saw her give blankets to others, and I found that strange."

We requested an upgrade from gate crew and flight crew upon boarding but were told the flight was full even though multiple seats were available. Will not fly British Airways again."
