Cons: On the way out Lufthansa charged us a total of £129 to take our bags with us (all under 23KG). On the way back with the same 3 identical bags Lufthansa charged us $399.47 (£306.92), again all under 23KG. How can it be fair to charge passengers 2.4 times more to return home with their bags?

Cons: There was no S7 rep in Berlin Tegel airport and the agents in Frankfurt did not respond. So my son had to call us in the US to take care of the problem. We got hold of the agent through a US number, but no solution was offered other than simply buying a new ticket for a not so good price. I ended up getting no credit whatsoever and buying a new ticket on Finnair because the S7 offered a new ticket for two days later than the day on which they described event took place.

Cons: Never in my life have I seen a plane where half the passengers were under the age of 10. So many screaming babies, kids kicking the seats, and running around the isle! I seriously thought the plane was going to a convention of mothers. I asked a pilot what was going on, he said "it's the airline." This left me puzzled, but I figured it out. The airline is from Moldova. When I sat through a 6 hour layover there because the airline canceled my connecting flight, it became apparent that the entire airport was filled with infants and toddlers. There were many stations and rooms dedicated for child care, as well. So it appears that there is a very high birth rate in Moldova. Good for them! But bad for anyone making a connection in Moldova. It's technically not even a fault of the airline. But I certainly will try to avoid it in the future and buy the more expensive direct flights.
