However, this year, because of my children, I found myself on this airline again and had a very positive experience. The flight was on time, luggage was transferred without a hitch, the food was excellent and in-flight entertainment had a great variety to choose from. The 747 provided a very steady flight experience. Personnel were reasonably helpful. Continue this kind of service - it will help you remain successful."

The stewardess mentioned my partner to have the chicken as there was only a portion of the meal. But, I paid £24 for the meal. Although, the vegan and veggie meals were great!"

Bag sizes for on board carry on luggage accepted by other carriers are not accepted by BA. So you can fly in with one carrier and then BA says that the bag cannot go on the flight. In a different flight our flight was cancelled and rescheduled to the next day. I have been trying to find out how to get compensated for this as it says on their website and have not been able to do that yet."

I can understand once and maybe for one of us but it has happened EVERY time. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I sadly left my laptop onboard and I called the number for SFO BA Lost and Found for 48 hours....every 20 minutes. NO ONE answered and no one returned my messages. I finally had to drive back to the airport to talk to a human....a 5 hr round trip. No laptop turned in and it didn't turn back up in London. So clearly, cleaning crew stole it. That in its own right is a problem but NO ONE returning my calls. Completely unacceptable. I got the duty manager's email and emailed him TWICE over TWO days before he returned my email. I highly doubt I will fly BA again, I'm afraid."

My family of four had to pay nearly $400 extra to select our seats in advance instead of having them assigned to selecting them the day of the flight. Seats were cramped and not too comfortable. I flew Air France on a previous trip to Europe and it was much more comfortable seating. The in-flight entertainment system kept freezing up and had to be reset multiple times. The touch screen (which is the method of navigation through the system) did not work. On a 5 hour flight that would be an inconvenience - on an 11 hour flight it is a bit more of a problem."

Cons: "Cancelled the flight from Cologne to Zurich - It was showing on time when we left home, but at the airport we saw the status change. No one called or emailed us even when all the details are provided while booking the ticket. The line for the ticket counter at the airport was miserably long, so we had to use international roaming to make our calls to customer service. They never told us why the flight was cancelled and changed the topic to how they can rebook us - my suspicion is that there were very few customers for that flight so they thought its cheaper to cancel the flight and let the customers figure out the solution. Horrible! Te only option given to us was a late night flight to Vienna (more than 12 hours later), and then staying overnight there and then flying to JFK. That was of course unacceptable as we had to join work on Monday. I asked them to then look into Dusseldorf and any flying options from there. They were able to book us a flight from there. We rushed to DUS airport - The email confirmation took hours to show up in my inbox even though they promised 10-15 minutes. After waiting for the confirmation for a little, we had to take a cab from Cologne airport to Dusseldorf airport. It cost us over 200 euros and a lot of stress. The whole experience was a nightmare and I would not wish it upon anyone."

I chose the row which looked like an exit row, and on boarding found that I was in the row behind the exit row. The flight attendant took a photo of my seat map print out, because it was so confusing!!! No wonder the woman I spoke to sounded like she didn't know what she was talking about - she was following the seat map too!"

Pros: "While the flight left late, the service on board was good as was the comfort provided. Staff friendly. I actually was pleasantly surprised overall given a long past experience on the old SABENA."
Cons: "None, overall a decent transatlantic flight without any problems."

Pros: "Crew members were very friendly, plane was clean, seats were comfortable, and flight was much quicker than what I thought it was going to be. Boarding was a tiny bit unorganized, but overall flight was great."
Cons: "Boarding was a bit disorganized. I had brought my carry-on but the lady at the counter said I had to check it with baggage (which ended up getting delayed once we landed for an additional 15 minutes)"

Pros: "They gave us a pillow and blanket so we could sleep. They offered a good selection of movies and other entertainment. The airline staff was friendly and helpful."
Cons: "Seating was cramped but all airlines treat their three class clients like cattle."

Cons: "I was not allowed to get on board even though the plane was sitting at the airport still and it was the airlines delay that I made me late."

Cons: "The entertainment screen was about 6 inches wide and there were only four movies to choose from (one that was older than the hills). The screen wasn't clear. Hard to believe that there was such poor technology for a flight from the U.S. to Europe. Also, there were no ports to charge phones or tablets which made it near impossible to watch entertainment on a phone or tablet due to low battery levels. The wi-fi was not strong. I typically like food on an airplane, but this food was not something to be enjoyed. I hope to not fly Brussels Airlines/United again. I'll stick with British Airways and American."

Cons: "Complete desinfprmation. No announcements and lack of support stuff. Worst airline experience ever"

Cons: "The flight was similar to a low-cost airline but I was not informed of this when booking. Uncomfortable seats with very little legroom, and food was only available by purchase. Not worth paying the cost of a regular flight for a 5 hour flight!"
Cons: "Many passengers with their shoes AND socks removed. Chairs were extremely uncomfortable."
Cons: "Entertainment was weak. Not enough choices. There was a mixup with my food preference. it was not passed on to the flight and they did not have any vegetarian options. Not even fruits. I was even ready to pay, yet nothing."

Pros: "the cabin crew was wonderful. We were delayed by half hour on board they kept us informed and the service was excellent"

Cons: "We paid extra for economy plus, but they completely messed up that part of the reservation. Multiple phone calls and run around at the airport. The "upgrade " is a nice one but the hassle was stressful and still not sure if I'll get the $ straightened. Front of plane warm, but back cold."

Cons: "Flight from Brussels to Kinshasa was different. It seems for the people of color, there was an old plane. My seat mate TV sCreek did not work. You could tell moldings on seat were very old. one bathroom had no soap, dispenser was broken. I hope this is not your pratice to use your older planes for those traveling to Africa. I will observe this as I travel back to Brussel and on to US."
Cons: "No water/fluid offered -- everything was pay-to-play."
