Pros: "Nothing out of the ordinary but I am not going to fly Air Lingus or TAP ever again."
Cons: "the Team Leader at the check in counter was nasty, Her colleague made the mistake of not telling me that I had to wait there for the wheelchair that was going to take me to the plane, so I went to have a light breakfast. Then I waited half an hour on my feet waiting for the wheelchair"
Cons: "Delayed flight, no snacks, and staff not as friendly."
Pros: "Same comments"
Cons: "Same comments"
Pros: "It was a comfortable and roomy (nice leg room) flight"
Cons: "Their entertainment system was not working, nor was their WiFi"
Pros: "Plane was 1/2 full and I moved to empty row to stetch out and sleep. Quite comfy. Excellent music selection at least for classical."
Cons: "Poor water service. Attendents came around twice on 8 hour flight offering a small plastic glass of water. Should have brought my own."
Pros: "Not crowded, lots of empty seats"
Cons: "Poor customer service. I think I said thank you many more times than the flight attendants who barely acknowledged me and seemed annoyed about performing any type of basic service (serving food/water/collecting rubbish/etc.)."
Pros: "Food was ok"
Cons: "Who starts a boarding process 2h before the flight with only 2 counters, with no possibility to check in online (even for those without luggage) and no automatic machine? I'm very glad the company had the kindness to wait for us on the last call for boarding when you finally check your luggage 30min before departure. Should we talk about the politeness of your fight crew? In short, very disrespectful. Delivering the luggage took an extremely long time"
Pros: "The seats"
Cons: "We would like a lil free water"
Pros: "Everything went smoothly."
Cons: "Nothing."
Pros: "plane staff asked passengers that if they did not have a plane to catch to allow those who did to deplane first."
Cons: "Very little information regarding the two hour delay. We heard that the plane was on the ground but there were no busses available to transport us to the plane."
Pros: "Non stop service to Seattle; going through US Customs in Dublin."
Pros: "More room on the Airbus on Aer Lingus. Comfortable temperature in plane. Easy boarding."
Pros: "Nothing went wrong so that's plus"
Cons: "Nothing"
Pros: "The flight was very short, but everyone was accommodating."
Pros: "Friend staff members onboard willing to help customers"
Cons: "The snack service that had everyone line up in the aisles was a bit hectic and busy"
Pros: "Nothing!"
Cons: "BA used to feel like luxury travel. Now they just feel like any run-of-the-mill budget airline. Felt nickeled & dimed from start to finish. Staring with being asked to pay $39 if I wanted to preselect my seat. My friend and I chose the free option of selecting our seats 24 hours before the flight--her luggage didnt even make in on the plane! It was finally delivered at 2:00 AM the next morning; well past the 8:00 PM promised delivery, which caused us to lose an entire eveing in Paris. On the return flight, home, she was told there wasn't even a seat for her on the plane. I failed to add that after booking and paying for her flight, they cancelled and deleted the SFO to London leg of the flight without so much as notifying her via email, phone, or text. Mind you, the London to Paris leg was not cancelled. Had we not tried to pre-book our seats, she would never have known they had cancelled her flight. What impacted her, impacted me, so needless to say, neither of us will ever fly BA again! BTW, their online customer service representatives were very nasty to deal with."
Pros: "it was quiet and smooth for an English/Irish flight."
Cons: "Horrific food; horribly tight seats on an E330;"
Cons: "Boarding was very slow and not well organized therefore all passengers were trying to find their seat at the same time. No pillows or blankets available. The entertainment system has not kept up to date. Poor reception and old movies. My new case was damaged that can't be repaired on route from Heathrow-Dublin-Toronto Aer-Lingus is no different from any other airline that fly across the Atlantic - too bad"
Pros: "Crew were very nice"
Cons: "Would like to be at least able to state a seat preference. With a tendency to be claustrophobic, a middle seat is the worst. Fortunately it was a short flight"
Cons: "See dislikes followig Dallas to Paris"
Pros: "Easy flight. On time."
Cons: "Waiting for counter to open at 8:20. Did not know. Could have been enjohing coffee somewhere."
Pros: "Comfortable seats, skilled pilots and polite crew."
Cons: "Our flight was delayed and therefore a late night became a very late night to get back home."
Pros: "Their best was merely adequate."
Cons: "Unlike modern airlines Aer Lingus does NOT let you check in ahead of time. You have to WAIT in line forever with people checking luggage. Also, my flight was an hour late. No reason or apology given. It nearly made me miss my connecting flight"
Pros: "Friendly, helpful, positive crew. Clean plane. On-time departure & arrival"
Cons: "Only food offered was for purchase - even snacks. :-("
Pros: "Flight crew should have not set our expectations after leaving Paris one hour late then sitting on tarmac in Dublin with the hopes we would still make our connecting flight. Stress level was karen higher by this point"
Cons: "Took us 14 additional hours to make it home. Airline and connections should be more realistic."
Pros: "nil unfortunately"
Cons: "waiting in three different lines for over two hours with one person serving! Paying for my baggage (under20kgs) with my flight then being forced into paying again at the airport because they said they did not have my details on their system. being forced to go to another line and que up to pay a second time for my baggage to be taken onto the airport. Going back to another line to put my baggage in and show the receipt for the baggage that had been paid for twice. Going to the next (another) line with one person serving - several Dublin passengers in the que and a line that as about 100mts long- yes about 100 metres long with one person serving without any Lingus staff coming to see if all was ok . No help no announcements nothing. sitting in a plane for an hour and a half with three children under the age of four crying, screaming and yelling all the way without a thing being said by any of the crew. A little is ok, but three families with young children with no support from the crew was not pleasant"
Cons: "1 hour in the slowest line ever. No self serve kiosk. CDG security also frustratingly slow"
Cons: "No snacks or water"
Cons: "Lost my luggage. Still havent found it."
Pros: "Seats comfy"
Cons: "Boarding was delayed and confusing. Not organized well, check in was AWFUL. One hour to get through with two people. Not eddiexekf to make plane on time!"
Cons: "Only 3 people to check bags for the entire flight? Are you kidding? I had to rush through passport control, skip the line, to make my flight. Unreasonably understaffed check-in in Paris. I stood in line to check my bag and get boarding pass for an hour and a half. Absolutely ridiculous."
Cons: "Plane is Dirty. Trash around seat floor and crumbs where remote is. No charging station on seats."
Cons: "We had a terrible experience at the Aer Lingus desk in Paris. We got there two hours early for our flight and there was already a long line at the desk and no agents at the counter. Finally some agents arrived started checkng people in. After 15 min in line, they told us that if we were flying to the U.S., our flight was delayed and we would not make our connection, and to get out of line and wait. After 20 more minutes, they said that was a mistake and get back in line. I waited for approximately an hour and a half in line there, and had to run to my flight. There was no effort made to hurry us through security or any apologies."
Cons: "It wasn't written anywhere that my flight was serviced by air lingus. So I had to change terminals to check in barely made my flight. Slowest check in staff Ive ever encountered. No complimentary refreshments thought the credit card machine didn't work so I guess they were complimentary after all."
Pros: "The crew was great and very accommodating. Seat we're comfortable. They crew kept us all informed with the progress of the flight."
Cons: "One of my seats was not cleaned up properly. There were used napkins in the compartment in front of me."
Cons: "Since my ticket was with British Airways "Operated" by Aer Lingus, I was not the only one confused about which airport terminal to go to. The taxi driver was confused too. He was not sure he had dropped us at the right place. Even the person at the Information Desk at the airport said it could be unclear for someone "not in the business". Please rectify. Thanks"
Pros: "Good amount of legroom, nice plane in good condition. Friendly professional staff."
Cons: "They have a rather meager selection of movies and TV to watch. My flight over to Europe was on British Air, and the comparison in this regard was stark. BA has tons of movies and TV to choose from, and lots of first-run. This had about 6 TV shows, 2 episodes each, and maybe 20 movies, ranging in age but mostly not very new. When you're on a daytime flight for 7 hours, this becomes something you care about."
Pros: "The worst airline baggage handlers , will never fly with them again , stupid website , good luck trying to connect with the customer support... Irish communication is the same as 3 world"
Pros: "very attentive staff!"
Pros: "The in flight entertainment was very good. lots of choices."
Cons: "slow check-in terrible, website was down so no on-line check in, stuck in a window seat. seats in main cabin are too small. too many chiefs and not enough indians... check in at CDG was a joke, terrible service!"
Cons: "I was very lucky to make my connecting flight because of a 90 minute delay. I was informed that my bags might not make it, which is the last thing you want to hear when you need your bag for the next day..."
Pros: "Got in early"
Cons: "Lost luggage for 25% of the flight. They say this happens often. spent 3 hours at the airport filing a claim. I hope I see my suit case again"
Pros: "Boarding on AerLingus is messy and last minute. But crew is nice. Short flight so no food without paying separately for it, and no entertainment options."
Pros: "1. The staff was very friendly but hampered by poor food and water planning. 2. The airline's name is humorously suggestive."
Cons: "1. We were informed by CDG's website that international travelers should arrive 3 hours before the flight. Our flight was at 10:20 AM. We arrived before 7 AM. There were 4 people in line ahead of us. No one from Are Lingus arrived until 7:45. There were no apologies, no friendly welcome, just officious personnel who could have cared less about us. We had had a problem at JFK on our flight out and we were told to expect problems on the return. The clerk separated me from my wife and sister (who needed a wheel chair) and then issued us boarding passes only for the flight to Dublin without explanation. I waited in a line at the gate for another 2 hours to straighten it out."
Cons: "No online checkin available transfer side. so no boarding pass So had to come out and queue ... Very very slow queue to checkin"
Pros: "Aer lingus was good and helpful"
Cons: "I don't have my bag"
It’s great service, nothing new all was grand
Pros: "It was affordable"
Cons: "Customer service"
Pros: "Flight was ok"
Cons: "Delayed leaving Malta owing to too few staff attending to boarding. Arrival at East Midlands was dire, although I believe mainly due to inefficiency of East Midlands rather than RyanAir"
Pros: "For once the flight took off on time!"
Cons: "Seating was passable for a short flight. Seat allocation was random especially as the booking confirmation was done at the same time. Presumably this is now intentional so as to encourage you to pay the extra fee?"
Cons: "They lost my stroller"
Pros: "Crew and flight was ok"
Cons: "Checkin was the worst nightmare I have ever seen."
Pros: "The flight itself was on time and all that"
Cons: "The plane itself was clearly cheaper than the planes Transavia and Norwegian used. The only problem (though this had nothing to do with the airline) was having to sit in Nantes airport for 14 hours with no access to real food after about 11PM. The free shuttle into Nantes is great but I wish it worked later on Sundays. I was thrown for a loop and by the time I got a handle on what my options were they had closed."
Pros: "The stay"
Cons: "Ridiculous long wait even though Ryanair said to still go for the original time. 9hours in the airport is not good enough"
Pros: "There was nothing great about Ryan air. We flew with Flybe on the way back and it was a much better experience"
Cons: "Very disappointed with Ryanair and lack of communication from kayak regarding the checking in process. This was our first time to Europe and we booked a last minute trip to Dublin. We arrived at the airport 3 hours in advance to check in and allow time for navigation. We waited in line for an hour only to know that we were either supposed to check in online or upstairs at the airport. We had 4 minutes to check in when we got to the front desk. Staff was incredibly useless and did not assist whatsoever. We had to logon the airport WiFi and watch the video then missed the checkin by 1 minute. This is absolutely unacceptable. We were then directed to another service department for a 55 pound charge each! Which was the same as our original flight. I did not receive any notification email to check in ahead of time. This was a very stressful time for my traveling partner and I and do not feel obliged to be paying the consequences given the circumstances. I am hoping kayak will honor us as loyal customers and reimburse us for these unforseeabke fees. This would be greatly appreciated. I can provide receipt and documentation if needed. Thanks"
Pros: "Left outside the plane for 25 min. In the pouring rain with small children. Why start trying to board the plane when obviously it’s not ready to receive passengers."
Cons: "London Luton airport is a nightmare to get into and out of. Avoid if you can. Traffic chaos. Nearly missed our flight."
Cons: "I had to pay €55 extra to check in which I have never heard. It was not stressed enough that that had to be done. Boarding was delayed. The flight was supposed to arrive at 12:30 am and arrived over an hour later. I arrived at my destination 3am and kept people up waiting for me. My large suitcase was covered in beer."
Pros: "Efficiency"
Cons: "They made is walk around barriers carrying our bags slowly shuffling forward to get into the seated area in front of the gate. It took 15 mins . They could set up the ticket check inside the seated area so we could relax."
Pros: "Overall an uneventful flight"
Cons: "Delayed flight again. Ryanair evening flights keep getting delayed, so you end up missing the last train."
Cons: "Long waiting in the plane. 1 hour delay. Long line for bus to Brussels"
Cons: "got sick and was not able to make flight but was refused a refund."
Cons: "No drinks left hot or cold for whole flight"
Pros: "New plane was comfortable."
Cons: "Very late service. Crew forgot about our row during the drinks service. Usual chaos from Ryanair's aggressive seating policy although people managed to swap themselves around to sit together. This wasted more time of course."
Pros: "two days before a bank holiday to Ibiza, this was significantly cheaper than other airlines. Departed on time"
Cons: "Waiting for check in look about 50 minutes. When I got to the front I was 1kg over the allowed 20kg and had to leave to pay £11 at another counter and come back to check in. Note the allowance on other airlines are 23kg. Security screened my hand luggage twice. The reason was that the chargers for the camera, laptop, phone, etc was 'too dense in the bag' and had to be done seperately. This took about 25minutes. I am glad I arrived at the airport two hours before take off because by the time I checked in and passed security, there was just enough time to buy food and walk to the boarding gate. The flight itself was noisy. People played music and danced in the aisle, the cabin crew just left it and did not serve the middle of the plane. But the party goers brought their own drink on board and kept going."
Cons: "Landing was shockingly scary, staff not so friendly, seats were dirty"
Pros: "No frills but got us there safely on time."
Cons: "Had to walk on the Tarmac."
Pros: "Nothing! Terrible airline and so inefficient"
Cons: "Waited over an hour to board while we stood in line for this ! Stayed an additional 45 mins after landing for our luggage to drop. Horrible horrible airline"
Pros: "The flight was not delayed"
Cons: "No complaints"
Pros: "The cabin crew"
Cons: "Budapest airport"
Pros: "Fast flight nice staff"
Cons: "Seats are small"
Cons: "That the app from Germany won’t let me download my boarding card. It’s petty!"
Pros: "Friendly staff and comfortable seats"
Cons: "The delay."
Pros: "Great price to Pisa. I was asleep the entire flight so I didn't suffer too much from the seating"
Cons: "Lack of seating in boarding area"
Pros: "price"
Cons: "all the extra charges... late take off not being able to get the seat desired general nervousness due to low level of confidence in the company"
Pros: "Nothing"
Cons: "1. Flight expensive....and ontop you pay 40€ for 20kg 2. Flight was at 13:35, when booking online, it says u can check in online 2 hrs before flight. If u dont you pay 50€ fee to checkin at airport ( absolutely rediculous to start with!!!!!) However, i tried to checkin online at 09:40 and payed for my suitcase, once i payed for my case, not only it didnt send me confirmation of payment or receipt, it asked for my passport details and date of birth which i entered... and then it told me the flight has already departed and wouldnt let me checkin. after 4 attempts trying.... my father called ryanair to ask for advise on what to do with this situation, and was told that we can checkin at the airport. We go to Pafos airport, where staff of ryanair at checkin were extremely rude.... and after explaining the situation... told us we must pay €50 to check in and get on my flight... told us to go to the other side of the airport to pay. We tried to explain the situation to another extreeeemely rude member of staff called Evi... who says she needs proof that i couldnt check in... so i showed her the emails i had received from ryanair.... and she said she could see it on her screen that i was in the ryanair site... but said she needed a print screen to prove it.... how pathetic!!! Then when questioning why emails from ryanair were not sufficient proof she said she is just doing her job and she doesnt care because she doesnt work for ryanair. Ironicaly told us to pay and have a nice day. We paid. And will make a huge complaint... and advertise how pathetic this airline is... not only the rules, they even ignore their own rules, as they have the rudest staff both ground and on board im sure they need the extra money to understandably employ better staff or maybe get better planes... or hopefully follow monarch so bad airlines get out and leave the good ones to do their job professionally. The way they service ob is another story. Staff look exhausted... unmotivated and very unhappy. I work for the crewing dept of an international shipping company... where we arrange travel for officers and crew hourly 24/7 , 365 days a year.....and will make sure that under no circumstances do we use ryanair as it will reflect badly on our company. I paid €250.00 for the ticket + €40.00 20kg + €50.00 because they wouldnt let me check in. = €340.00 €340.00 i could have gone with a better airline... had a happier flight.... not feel ripped off...and not been spoken to so rudely. I never complain. But this experience was continuously awful. And i will make sure this is expressed world wide. Cheating people is unacceptable. If i was late to try check in, or i did something wrong, or i was rude, or if the flight cost was rediculously low. i would understand.. but i paid good money for a ticket, too much money for a 14kg bag and ontop extra for the fault of the airlines webpage & acepted attitude!!Lesson learned!! For sure they will lose alot more than 1 customer!!!!"
Pros: "The boarding went really fast and it was nice and smooth flight"
Cons: "The crew. They are always very rude in Ryanair."
Pros: "A very cheap flight; we had randomly allocated seats away from each other but as there were few passengers this was not a problem. There was almost a row of seats per passenger so I can't see the benefit of paying to sit together!"
Cons: "If RyanAir reads these reviews can I make a small suggestion that would make a big difference? The plastic cups provided with drinks are tall and narrow making them unstable inflight.Simply changing to a more squat shape would increase passenger comfort."
Pros: "The price of this flight was great and was on time. Could not have asked for a better value for my money. Also the Check in online and having e-tickets makes the whole process much faster."
Cons: "The representatives were not friendly and having to pay an additional large fee for normal size carry on luggage is ridiculous."
Pros: "Great staff, very helpful and quick with boarding, quick journey"
Cons: "N/A"
Cons: "I'm a frequent flyer. This was my first and last flight with Ryanair. It started at the check in desk. The flight cost me 140 euros plus an additional 50 euros because I didn't check in online. I never check in. Ever. For any of my domestic or national flights. Never. after reading my itinerary email it did state to check in online but failed to mention there would be a penalty if not done. What's the point of a ticket agent when they can't give me my purchased ticket? I have to pay you to give me my ticket !!! Ridiculous! Than I get to the gate and I don't have a seat number because the computer said "full" . I get into the plane. It's delayed 2 hours. We are sitting there in our seats and a passenger 2 rows behind me starts screaming because a cockroach flew into her hair (flight attendants did nothing did not Do anything to help her as she was frightened she was about 11 years old). The floors were a mess. Food, wrappers and crumbs all over the floor. Might explain the cockroach. The air was blasting colder than any flight I have ever been on and I fly a lot. Horrible. I wish I never flew with them."
Pros: "The price is really the only positive thing I can say about this particular flight."
Cons: "The seats were tight and dirty. There was no entertainment what so ever. None of the refreshments were complimentary including tea and coffee. The crew did not create an atmosphere of hospitality (lots of audible gossip in the back of the plane). Finally, and this may have not been avoidable, but the landing was so hard that many of the passengers, including myself, experienced neck and back pain afterwards."
Pros: "Check in online"
Cons: "Seat comfort was not good. No recline and no seat pocket. No frills I guess"
Pros: "Crew were fantastic"
Cons: "I hate flying"
Cons: "Boarding was very slow, 30 minutes late taking off. Everything else was okay, nothing special but nothing wrong"
Pros: "The crew on board were pretty jovial and pleasant"
Cons: "I was told while boarding I had to give up a small carry-on ("because there was no room"). I travel every month and NEVER have had to give up that item. It was awkward and difficult to sort out the stuff I had to take out of the bag for security sake. When I got on board the bins overhead in my area - I took a picture - were empty. I am disgusted by this treatment and the lying of the RyanAir Amsterdam ground staff. Unacceptable. These people should be penalised."
Cons: "They never gave me a gate number and we ended up going to the wrong gate and missing our flight... We even asked for one and said it was our responsibility... Also we were charged 90 dollars for not registering online 2 days in advanced"
Pros: "Late. 5 hours late. No one give us a excuse."
Cons: "We were told to use the app for boarding passes-ok great except 'one or more passengers in your party may not use a boarding pass created on this app' ok fine I'll use the website. Except the website will not except any of our flight and travel or information it is it long and laborious procedure. We ended up spending over two hours attempting to get everyone in our party of four registered to check in for their flight only to have the website repeatedly crash and not send us the boarding passes . So in the end I would just warn anyone dealing with Ryan air to print your boarding passes as soon as you book your tickets and slip them into your suitcase once you're traveling and you don't have access to a business center you cannot get their website and/or their app to work correctly for you and if you don't have a boarding pass before you get to the airport they will charge you I believe the charge is €30 per person for them to print you a boarding pass even though their website and their app will not let you download a copy of your boarding pass in a timely and or easy fashion."
Cons: "Flight delayed 4 hours, charged for every bag"
Pros: "We didn't crash. The flight wasn't full so there was room for all the cabin bags. Flight crew were nice."
Cons: "Flight left late. Landing was harsh. Seats were uncomfortable."
Pros: "Not much"
Cons: "2.5 hours late for a 60 min flight. Got given snack tokens as compensation but they applied only to airport shops that were all shut"
Pros: "Cheaper than others"
Cons: "Seats to upright. No where to store newspapers or magazines when seated."
