Air Canada had to put me on completely new flights there and back. I think this has taught me to go directly through an airline. Justfly was not helpful. Neither was Turkish airlines."

Payment at the airport may be too costly as well as unreasonable. It's like a penalty for having excess luggage. This is the reason I prefer flying with EMIRATES because they afford me to but pay fir excess luggage before my departure. Planning ahead is key"
Pros: "Our Turkish Airlines flight was late boarding and passengers were upset about not being able to make their connecting flights. The crew handled it well, but anxiety was high. The food is always good and one of the reason I fly Turkish Airlines on a regular basis."
Cons: "Passport Control at Ataturk International was a nightmare with hundreds of people ahead of us in the queue. No Police to secure the area, so people rushed the line pushing us aside and jumped the queue, this happened repeatedly. I would advise people NOT to fly into this airport and expect to make your connecting flight, because it doesn't play out well at all. We were in line for 2 hours and witnessed people pushing, shoving, yelling at strangers and generally acting like animals. I found the whole experience highly disturbing."

Cons: "1. Poor support for passengers with international transfers. We took Turkish airline to fly from Rome to San Francisco with an overnight stopover in Istanbul. The airline promised overnight stay and transportation. When we got into Istanbul airport after 11:00pm as scheduled, there was no support from the airline. Different airline staff provided different answers. Very confusing. The on-site transfer desk support was unfriendly and not helpful. 2. Tight seat configurations for international flights. For our 13-hour flights, the seats were not comfortable."

But, the chief flight attendant was somewhat discourteous as she asked for proof that I am a doctor. I am not sure what kind of proof is needed. Let me know so I can be ready in the future. Luckily the passenger was OK."

Cons: "One concern - as we were landing and then taxiing, people were standing up and getting baggage out of the overhead compartments before the plane had stopped moving. It felt dangerous. I would suggest having the flight crew make an announcement so people could be safe and remain seated until the airplane comes to a final stop/no longer moving."

These airlines are doing everything save on costs by jamming as many people as possible onto an aircraft...this makes for a terribly uncomfortable 12hr long red-eye flight. The food was mediocre at best (my gf actually got sick from it), and the boarding process was anything but organized, allowing anyone to board at any given time. It was very hectic and took far too long."

Cons: "My TAP flight from Lisbon to Madeira island was 2 hours late arriving so I lost all of my flight connections back to Boston and San Francisco. I was stuck in Lisbon Portugal for one extra day - was told to get out of the airport, then asked a bunch of people what to do, finally got in a very long line of people within a very hectic and loud airport full of travelers. 60+ people in a line being helped by only 2 rude counter staff. I waited in TAP member services line for 2 hrs and 30 minutes. They gave me a voucher to a motel and a taxi cab where I would have to spend the night. On my way back, I was diverted form Boston to Miami and the whole ordeal was unpleasant. It seems like TAP staff doesn't care about inconveniencing passengers. I overhead a conversation between a young 30+ year old TAP male staff wearing a dark blue sweater and dark blue pants belittling a British woman passenger. While waiting in line I was surprised to see how rude the counter TAP staff were to passengers who were frustrated that they lost their flight connections because of the TAP plane's late arrival. IF possible, I would never fly TAP again."

Went to get a ticket for the next flight and was told I would have to pay an additional 99 euros and the next flight 6 hours later was not available but I could get on a flight that was 12 hours later. I ended up taking an earlier flight on another airline. Would not recommend this airline."
Cons: "Layover was terrible. Two hours was barely enough to make the connection, because of the passport control line which took forever. In Lisbon airport you need to get out and in through security again when connecting."
