Cons: Reception / ground floor areas can get very busy with business conferences.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff everywhere. Not intrusive at all, but very efficient and easy going.
Cons: Could have done with tea and coffee making in the room. Having said that room service was very quick. Juts would have been easier (and cheaper) to make it myself as I got ready.

Pros: Perfect location and the staff were amazing. So friendly and always smiling - nothing was too much trouble. The room was comfortable and light. The bed was very comfortable and free bottle waters were a nice touch. Amazing en-suite, nice powerful shower.
Cons: I didn't like the perfume pumped through the air-con in the corridors and bedrooms. Infact we had to be moved as I suffer from asthma and it was effecting my breathing to a none perfumed floor (5) and room. The corridors are too dark, felt like a ship..

Pros: We had an early flight in and went right to the hotel. By the time we had breakfast there was a room for us. We were there 4 days and mostly worked with Johnnie the concierge who was extremely helpful and fun. The other concierges were helpful and friendly as was the whole staff. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Johnnie sent us to a lovely Italian restaurant for dinner our first night. We will definitely stay here when we go back to London.

Pros: Beautifully appointed and in a perfect location. Friendly and accommodating staff. It feels truly like a quiet oasis in bustling London! Love it to pieces
Cons: It is an older building so there are noisy pipes and creaking floors etc., but in my view that only adds to the authentic charm.

Pros:
Cons: Room was like a dungeon. Very disappointing.
6.3 Good
Pros: All the staff were great, very friendly and wanting to help.
Cons: I didn't like the room, we were given a disabled room with disabled fixtures and fittings in the bathroom, I didn't request this and wasn't informed about it, the first I new was when we got to the room. Paintwork flaking off of woodwork, split silicone sealant around sink area. Your average premier Inn room was better than this...….and much cheaper. Frosted secondary double glazing on the windows, absolutely no view at all, pull aside the secondary glazing to reveal the middle of the building, pipes, ductwork and filth everywhere (explains the frosted glass).
1.0 Poor
Pros: Nothing good to say. Extremely disappointing
Cons: I was downgraded from a deluxe room to a standard room (essentially.a closet)and my compensation was a 14 £ cocktail. The following day the y transferred me to a deluxe room and despite two request to make sure there were no feathers in the room...

Pros: Great location away from the London bustle!
Cons: Nothing!
8.8 Excellent
Pros: Lovely comfortable bed and complimentary mini bar.
Cons: Long check-in process. And paying an advance of £50 per day for possible charges? which can take up to 7 days to be returned to me.
5.0 Okay
Pros: The location is great.
Cons: Firstly I don’t like the service of the bell boy at the front gate. I have been to a lot of hotels including five stars but never have seen the attitude like the bell boys from that hotel. All are standing even though seeing the customer is taking luggages. Secondly I don’t like the attitude of front desks stuff. Already requested for an early check in as I have a meeting and I arrived the hotel at 2:30. It was half an hour before of that hotel policy to check in time. They won’t let me in until 3:03pm and said the room is not ready yet. Seeing the customer is waiting and sitting there for half an hour, they have no effort like asking the housekeeper whether the room is ready or no welcome drink at all. Thirdly, I don’t like the room. I booked a river view but the view of the window is so small and can’t even say it is a view. I am feeling my money for that view is not worth it. The room is so small and the hotel is very old. Fourth, the elevator is very old model 1000kgs type and very narrow. It was stopping once in every floor. Very disappointed to take that elevator. Fifthly, I stayed in that hotel at the raining day. The hotel is so old and so bad and even water drops are pouring drop by drop from the ceiling. I saw a bucket and it was collecting the rain drops in front of the elevator entrance of eighth floor. I was so shocked seeing the rain dropping from the ceiling. When I check about the hotel, it says “the Royal Horseguards” is a Five Star Hotel. I don’t know in what part it is being rated five stars. I will rate it not even a three star hotel.

Pros: The front fest was very gracious and accommodating. Housekeeping was extremely responsive to requests. Concierge was helpful. The bar was friendly and had a nice light menu. The restaurant was excellent for dinner. It was very easy to get a table and service was excellent.
Cons: Took a bit of time to get attention of the waitstaff in the tea lounge for a seat just for a pot of afternoon tea. The breakfast buffet hardly changed over the week we were there so we started going out to breakfast after three days.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: I took my partner for his birthday. it was lovely but i wanted the river view room and i rang before we got there to be told it was a river view room. When we arrived that wasn't the case. other than that it was lovely and the breakfast was delicious.
Cons: Nothing
8.0 Excellent
Pros: Stayed in a king suite . View from the room was fantastic and the absolutely stunning at night. The room was spacious and comfortable with very nicely appointed furniture and bed. The bathroom with the heated floor was very nice surprise. Doorman was wonderfully welcoming, the bellboys were quick and helpful and the concierge was professional and always pleasant and patient.
Cons: I asked for an early check in which wasn't possible and I understood this. However, when I returned at the regular check in time, the receptionist without checking with anyone, insisted the room still wasn't ready. Had to ask for the manager, who after checking with housekeeping, found the room was ready. Receptionist was not happy at being contradicted and was less than pleasant for the rest of the check-in process. Not offered breakfast discount on check-in so would have paid substantially more if I hadn't found out about the discount by accident. Stayed two nights. Mini-fridge was not restocked the second day. Took 45 minutes to get a bucket of ice and then felt guilty for asking for it when we found out the poor guy doing room service was the only one on duty. Seems like the hotel needs to amp up the staff numbers to provide the five star service you're paying for.

Pros: This was a really excellent hotel for our stop over stay before going to Gatwick airport the next evening. The staff were great and very obliging apart from one waiter at the bar who didn’t seem helpful or bothered. Room was lovely with a beautiful bathroom and so many toiletries to choose from and good coffee and tea facilities. Pros: The location was very convenient to many of the sites and activities we had planned as well as a tube station (St. James Court). However, be warned the station entrance closest to the hotel is locked early in the morning, late at night and on Sundays.
Cons: The facilities were ancient. The room was incredibly small and dated. There was peeling paint on the walls old mis-matched furniture and the curtains had stains on them. Not sure how this could be classified as 4 stars when it most closely resembled a poorly maintain motel. The manager will tell you that they are in the middle of a renovation however, to let their hotel fall into such disarray prior to starting a renovation is shameful.

Pros: Loved the Over all ambience of the place. Very cool lighting and decor in the lobby and the lifts and throughout the hotel. Our room had centralised controls for lights(full, mood, reading) air con and window blinds. Shower and toilet were spacious loved the rain head shower and the complimentary toiletries were none other than Elemis(high end) nice touch. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
Cons: There were pipes running down the wall in my room. You could Clearly hear running water at times. They were hidden behind some accessable wood paneling. They obviously need to be accessable to maintenance staff but the panel was not secured. I was able to open it.

We received champagne on arrival which was expected at all.. but was a great surprise! Over all the stay was wonderful. If we needed anything nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Pros: Upon check in we were greeted and checked-in by hotel employee, so welcoming. All staff were friendly. The rooms were snug but the beds were foam topped and comfortable. The breakfast was hot, plentiful with a good variety.
Cons: It was a tad bit off the beaten path. Since it is next to the Police Station and near St. Thomas Hospital we heard a lot of sirens. Also it is a 10 minute walk from any store and there are no vending machine or snack shop on site.

Pros: The rooms are a decent size for London standard, however the problems far outweigh the benefit of the size.
Cons: Okay, the hotel has no concierge service! Then the rooms are a good size, but lack natural light and even the 2 tiny bulbs aren’t enough if you are trying to work in the room. The room I stayed in superior.. second floor had water clogging both in the sink and the shower!! Didn’t expect this at all from a chain. Also, the staff I called to book my room was sweet and pleasant but the staff checking me in had a condescending tone. But hey, again the staff that checked me out later was very sweet. So probably just my bad luck. Anyways, for the price much better rooms available, also cheaper hotels in lambeth would be better than this! I chose this over the near by hotels thinking it would be better as a chain etc. but no.

Pros: The location is excellent and it is in a very quiet street in London. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable with lovely linen and pillows.
Cons: No electric jug or milk to make a cup of tea in your room. Having flown 36 hours I was very frustrated to be denied a jug of hot water by reception and told to use the coffee machine which proved to be faulty. Upon my return to reception I was finally given a jug of hot water to take back to my room. Several of the lights were not working in the room. The hotel is tucked away from the main traffic noise but the floor boards are extremely squeaky so if your neighbours are up and about you will know about it. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor, very poorly designed and as you are stepping out of a bath it can be very slippery, would not be suitable for less agile guests.

Pros: The hotel is situated right in the heart of central London. The bellman was well train, polite and can remembee every small detail of the guest. The room decoration is pretty nice.
Cons: On the moment we checked in, I raised the ac is quite warm and the staff said the ac works just be patient. So I went out for and got back to the room at late night, AC didn't work. It was even worse. We cant breath in the hotel room. Hence, we asked the staff to change the room and the staff at reception said every rooms in this hotel was fully booked. I should have raise this up since the beginning (which I did). The staff said the AC doesn't work the whole floor. They've been trying to fix it but since it's late at that moment so they will fix it on the next day. However, for some reason they managed to get us moved to the new room. But they actually downgraded our room, the room is smaller, Restroom is half size when compared to the room we got at the beginning. They insisted it's not downgrade and they charged us the same amount of money.

Cons: aircon not working and it was a heatwave. moved to a smaller air conditioned room on second day -- no discount given for lesser room and US aircon! had to ask for portable fans / so called portable aircon unit provided (which was in fact a evaporative cooler -- hopeless.

Pros: 1. Swimming pool was convenient but over heated and without any management of lanes. Basically a total free for all for lap swimmers. 2. Very, very quiet - refreshingly so for London. 3. Quick walk to the tube but on Victoria so you have to connect to get anywhere 4. Clean. 5. Staff were helpful 6. Restaurant food is ok.
Cons: Needs an upgrade. Feels like circa 1960 but has a new paint job. Lobby is the slickest part of it. Furniture in room was fine but I'd describe this as an upgraded dorm. No shops in the neighborhood.

Pros: Great place but no AC, it was hot and muggy in london and having no AC just makes it no fun. Otherwise these apartments are excellent.

Pros: Very big apartments with lots of space. Very bright with nice big windows. Access to swimming pool and gym for free.
Cons: Wasn’t the most soundproof rooms, could hear a lot going on outside and the doors slamming in corridors

Pros: Location and facilities. Have stayed here previously and will always return because overall experience is excellent.
Cons: Broken washing machines

Pros: Good location, the size is quiet big.
Cons:
9.0 Excellent
Pros: The size and quality of the apartment. The bed was excellent, large and comfortable
Cons: The kitchen is fairly lightly equipped and it could be better. The hot water went off-line on the morning of our second day, which wasn't the fault of the hotel.
10.0 Excellent
Pros: WE LIKED ALL OF IT - EXCEPT PERHAPS THE LIGHTING COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IN THE ROOMS AND, ALSO, THE RESTAURANT AS IT WAS VERY DIFFICULT TO READ THE MENUS. OTHERWISE I, PERSONALLY,, LOVED BEING BACK IN DOLPHIN SQUARE. MY NEIGHBOUR AND FRIEND WAS VERY IMPRESSED INDEED.
Cons: BEING DISABLED, SADLY, I WAS UNABLE TO USE THE SHOWER FACILITY IN MY ROOM - HENCE I USED ONLY THE WASH-HAND BASIN - AS A RESULT OF WHICH I WAS UNABLE TO REMOVE THE PLUG FROM THE SINK ON THE FIRST MORNING AFTER WASHING - ALBEIT SOMEONE ELSE HAD KINDLY DONE SO ON MY RETURN LATER IN THE DAY. THEREAFTER, I MANAGED AS BEST IF COULD BY SIMPLY USING MY FLANNEL AND SOAP. "THANK YOU" Maureen. A. Price (Miss)

Pros: Nothing much, except the location with close access to shopping and restaurants.
Cons: The reception in 1st floor rather than ground floor is very inconvenient. There’s an elevator but they don’t tell you about it. So you see residents go down the stairs with luggage but no one tells them where the lift is hidden. Breakfast is very modest and cheap. The concierge doesn’t answer the phone. Also reception takes few calls to answer.

Pros: The location is good . The minibar is free of charge. Jill , gizem are professionals .

Cons: Renovations still ongoing. Construction was happening in the room next to us during the day on a weekday. No construction on weekends and it started at a reasonable hour on weekdays. Few amenities in hotel, but we weren't looking to use them. My wife didn't sleep as well as she needs a contour pillow and one wasn't available.

Pros: The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Front desk especially. We liked that location was not too far from things.
Cons: Cost was a little higher than I wanted to pay considering we did not have a view of any kind as facing another building, but I didn't have time to really shop for something a little less so I did not rate lower. Bathroom was very tight, but I understand that this is sometimes the case when you travel abroad. We traveled for 3 weeks in British Isles and stayed at wonderful places, some of which had a incredible value for what we got.

Pros: Loved the location. Perfect for Oxford Street shopping! The reception staff and concierge went out of their way to assist me in getting taxis etc. The welcome fruit bowl was a nice touch. Friendly and attentive staff.
Cons: 1. I absolutely hated the sink plugs and the bath plugs. They kept getting blocked and had to be manually unplugged. This is very unhygienic, disgusting and outdated! Please replace! 2. At busy times there was a long wait for the lifts 3. I did not like the cleanliness. The cleaners were using very dirty mops.

Cons: The rooms are tiny. I stayed here a year ago and the old style room was fairly spacious (for London). This room was tiny... To call it Deluxe is a bit of a stretch. I'm 5'10" and could lay down touching both walls. I tried this. It was easy!!!
7.9 Good
Pros: The hotel staff were nice and helpful. I asked them how to get from the hotel to the airport and they even sold me the train ticket I needed.
Cons: • The bed was incredibly hard. It was like sleeping on the floor. My back hurt all the time. • The bathroom has no door which means that if you have air conditioning on in your room, and you take a shower you will be very cold when you get out of the shower. It also means that if you pee the whole room smells like pee. • The shower is built in such a way that if you move around too much, water starts getting out of the shower and into your floor. It is very modern and pleasing to the eye, but not very practical. • The hotel must be under construction, because every morning starting from 6am I heard sounds of people building and hammering. • While I was in the shower the last day of my stay the cleaning staff tried to enter my room at 8:30am which isn't that late. Thank god I had let the emergency lock on the door. Otherwise the cleaning staff would have seen me naked in the shower. • The Wi-fi is pretty bad.

Pros: The location is excellent (just behind the Tate Museum & the MI-5 HQ, as well as only a couple of minutes away from the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey). Tube stations are 10min.+ away, but the area is well covered by buses. The common spaces look clean and modern and the staff is friendly and polite (but nothing "over the top", though). If you manage to get a good deal, it could be a very affordable hotel in the middle of London. I paid £550 for 5 nights, but a few days before or a few days after my stay and I could've easily paid around £1,200 for the same number of nights in the same period - mid-August.

Cons: Staff were a little rude and initially was making me wait to check into a room at 3 PM and I arrived at 2:30. Once I told them I was a Hilton honors member they all of a sudden said the room was available. My checkin experience could have been better.
7.7 Good
Pros: The location is excellent (just behind the Tate Museum & the MI-5 HQ, as well as only a couple of minutes away from the Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey).
Cons: The rooms are a bit outdated and could do with a fresh coat of paint and some new carpeting at the very least. The design is also very simple and minimal, which gives an overall "basic" feeling. Some refurbishment would go a long way in improving the comfort of guests and would justify some of the heftier rates charged by the hotel (probably off the back of the hotel's premium location rather than room comfort and facilities).
5.4 Okay
Pros: Location
Cons: Small room, facilities not great in room, one teaspoon for two people?
7.9 Good
Pros: Bed very comfortable
Cons: Bathroom had insects
4.6 Okay
Pros:
Cons: There was no hot water at all. Served sour and cold fish from room service. No hair dryer. No iPhone port. Lacked the promised amenities like hot water! Totally unacceptable. Should have been told that prior to check in so we could have stayed elsewhere.
5.4 Okay
Pros: It’s location is good for central London.
Cons: No hot water Dirty coffee cup left in the bathroom Cleaners walking into the room Poor breakfast Bitter coffee
