Cons: The shower was the best I have had in any hotel anywhere but it did overflow into the bathroom a bit until I figured out how to minimize the flow.

Cons: The cost of eating or drinking in the hotel was unbelievably high. We ate breakfast there one day but quickly learned that a Manger, nearby, had better food for much less money.

Cons: The restaurant was very disappointing. The launch chef is no longer there and the current menu is under-whelming to say the least. We were the only diners on a Saturday night from 6.45-8 and then the staff started prepping for breakfast which was not what you expect, especially from a hotel of this quality

The hotel also tried to overcharge us for breakfast (charged the whole group for deluxe breakfasts when we intentionally just ordered a la carte. Business travelers on an expense account probably don't bother with arguing with first the waiter and then a supervisor.
Staff repeatedly gave incorrect information about nearby road closures for various parades.

Cons: I didn't like the perfume pumped through the air-con in the corridors and bedrooms. Infact we had to be moved as I suffer from asthma and it was effecting my breathing to a none perfumed floor (5) and room. The corridors are too dark, felt like a ship..

Cons: Booked a Superior Twin room. Attempted to do online check in, was offered choice of several Superior Double rooms. Emailed, asked if it was possible to have the room I'd requested at booking, or to cancel the booking as a double room was not suitable. Got no reply. Turned up and checked in. After initially just being told "We don't have any twin rooms" and deafening silence, the guy on reception 'upgraded' us to a suite with a king sized bed and a trolley bed wheeled in. The room was big, but by the time the table had been stuffed into the corner and the trolley bed had been put directly in front of the sofa, it still felt quite cramped. A simple email reply: "We do not have any appropriate rooms, do you wish to take the double or cancel the booking at no charge" would have been much more satisfactory. If I'd paid a more moderate price, booked a lower star rated hotel, I'd have been totally satisfied, but I always hope to get what I pay for, and this was not a budget hotel at a budget cost.

Cons: Just a very small suggestion. The layout of the shower hasn't been thought through as there is nowhere to put your shampoo, gel, etc. And also nowhere to hold your towel even when you come out so effectively have to come out of shower wet and walk across to get towel.

Pros: We stayed at this hotel as the Coronavirus lockdown was in its infancy. We had to change dates etc etc. We are pleased to report that hotel management were flexible and accommodating in all respects. We were able to change the date of our stay and received, very promptly, a 50% refund on the one night we were unable to stay. We will definitely stay here when next in London and we urge you to do the same...we should reward a helpful, flexible approach when we come across it. The breakfast selection was mediocre and the same everyday for the 9 days I was there. The hotels decor is old and outdated. It was difficult to even have a bottle of water delivered.

Cons: Wardrobe was very dusty, dust floated down every time door opened. Large crack in bathroom sink, bath took forever to fill because water also coming from shower head. Reception informed about sink, we were given option to move room but declined as we wouldn't be using sink to wash in. Air conditioning hit and miss whether it adjusted, buttons very unstable and worn.

Cons: When we arrived we were placed in a room with connecting doors on each end of the room with severely creaking floor boards, the aircon was horrifyingly noisy and the towel rail did not work. The bathroom was very small and there was little room to place our toiletries. The chair at the desk was old and unsightly and the room was basically unattractive and disappointing. When we complained the Manager promptly contacted and repeatedly apologised and switched our room to one that was exceptional.

Cons: The size of the room for the price is very unfortunate. Clearly, the price is premium due to being Central London however, read carefully what size room you are getting - I upgraded to the "Deluxe" which meant the bed wasn't against the wall...however, there wasn't much room around the bed anyway.

Cons: The rooms are ridiculously small, and the staff doesn’t understand what the “do not disturb sign” means. I get that they are trying to be helpful, but I am a big kid and have the ability to alert the desk if I need something. It happened more than once, and one of the staff actually started to enter the room while I was on the toilet. Maybe it is a cultural thing, but it was off-putting.

Pros: Perfect location for our city trip, with a supermarket and 2 bakeries nearby, there is also a pharmacy across the street! The metro station is also very close (2 min), but you can also walk downtown (china town, Piccadilly circus) in about 10 minutes. A small room, but that was okay for our purpose, the staff was very nice!

Cons: First room had extensive mold in bathroom. Bed linen was old and worn, hallways smelled of dampness. I have pixs which night manager was not interested in seeing and was VERY RUDE! No living person should have been put there!! Next room was ok. Breakfast was very limited and crowded and noisy. U had to pay extra £5 for eggs and bacon, usually cold.
We were told hotel chain was biggest in Europe and I’ll add WORSE in Europe. Will never book hotel on internet again because I had no recourse to get my money back!!! I will only call hotel directly and pay AFTER my stay , so if I’m not happy I can go elsewhere.
PS, hotel dining room resembled “Grade school cafeteria, hall pass was issued that you had to show to get in”
