The worst experience I've ever had with a car rental, hotel or restaurant. Manager at Hertz yelled and pointed his finger in my 70 year old wife's face. We paid extra with Kayak to get a gas powered car and were given a Tesla with no option of getting the gas car we had reserved. Hertz gave no instruction on how to use the car such as how to start it. how to lock it, etc. Should at least refund me the difference between the gas and electric car rental price. Hertz surely hurts - never again. RogerReviewed 14 Apr 2024

Upon getting vehicle. Upon starting vehicle, it flashed a message that back tire treading low, needs Maintenace or checked. I asked the gentleman working about it at the exit. He said don't worry about it. 'You should be OK' didn't sound promising. So, I asked the supervisor on duty, he said let's switch your vehicle out. Then, upon turning in the vehicle, the scan person was out to lunch, although 3 able bodies sitting and or standing there said just leave the key in the car and when she gets back from lunch, we will make sure to let her know to scan your vehicle back and email you a receipt. Been over 14 hours since that occurred still no receipt. Concerning that 3 employees can sit and aren't crossed train to scan a vehicle in. Doesn't make sense to me. This is a very sad situation at CVG airport.Reviewed 7 Oct 2023

I felt tricked. I thought I was booking to pick up the car from the Cincinnatti airport, but instead it was in downtown Cincinnatti. Very tricky and deceiptful on your end.Reviewed 18 Nov 2022

Hertz didn’t bother to contact me until less than 24 hours prior to pickup to inform me that they couldn’t rent a car to me. My husband reserved the car and used his CC. I tried to use MY debit card and was told Hertz didn’t accept debit cards. ?? When I tried to cancel the reservation with Hertz I was directed to another number to call 🙄 I will not use Hertz again.Reviewed 24 Oct 2022

The website indicated I could pick it up in Cincinnati when I googled "Airport Pickup". The address was nowhere near the airport, and I ended up cancelling the reservation. It is lucky that the woman from the rental agency called me to tell me they were not open on Sunday, which was my first clue this was NOT at the airport! Very misleading on KAYAK's part!Reviewed 17 Oct 2022

I requested to pick up a car at the Cincinatti aiport and Kayak sent me to a Hertz that was not even at the airport. I never made it to pick up my car because my flight was delayed by 30 min and by the time I got to the Hertz counter at the airport and figured out my reservation was not at the airport it was 6:03pm and the place where my reservation was had closed at 6pm. The Hertz at the airport had no cars available and neither did any other vendor. None of them could help me in person, I had to do everything online and when the Hertz company finally said I could take a van it was going to be $388 for less than 24 hours. My original reservation was for $46 that I would like a refund on. Due to this confusion and Kayak choosing a rental place that was not at the airport and closed early for my flight time (Kayak asked for my flight information) I had to pay for a $109 Uber to Lexington and an $80 cab back from Lexington. I thought I was going to spend $46 and now I've spent $235 because of your poor program. I have never been to Cincinatti, how on earth would I know the rental car reservation was not at the airport when that is what I searched.....Reviewed 5 Oct 2022
