I was initially supposed to get my rental for the price of $177 for two days, but by the time I was done at the rental counter, I owed over $400 for the same car and amount of days. The counter agent said this was because of the fees that weren't included on the Kayak quote. This is unacceptable and I won't be using this service again.Reviewed 17 Mar 2024

Did not get camray reserved for wedding. Got 88500 mile Nissan Vespa which was dirty inside had manual windows, , manual door locks, no center console, clearly had been repainted at some point. Had dings and scratches, chipped window and too small for my being able to take people around at the wedding… an embarrassment as father of the groom. The car shook at speed Not at all happy in fact if this is the best a K reservation is will not use again for either. I did not get the car I reserved. They said they do not even have VW jettas. They gave me the crappiest oled tiny car (not a mid size) and refused to do anything when I stated that it is not the kind of car I reserved. Our experience started with a sales person who decided it was worth being dishonest to get us to upgrade. He told us that we were early and that they didn’t have our car ready but we could upgrade and get a car right done in there. When we went up to pick up the car, we noticed the entire garage filled to the gills with cars, tons of which were the original car that we had rented. After we went to the booth and complained the girl, there was very nice and gave us what it is. We had originally ordered a Nissan Sentra and we went on our way.Reviewed 23 Dec 2023

We were charged $200 more than we were quoted. Every other car rental I've had gave me the price upfront and that is what I paid. Payless charged extra for an "upgrade" I didn't need and didn't include all the taxes and fees in the quote. I will never use Payless or Kayak again.Reviewed 19 Dec 2023
